The following. He's a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. Flowing out of the backfield makes flooding down the sidelines. He's hanging with the Boys, broadcasting live from Dallas Cowboys World headquarters at the Star in Frisco. Now your host, Nate Newton, Kurt Daniels, and Shannon Gross. Hump Day, The rain has humping. The rain is somewhat died off, a little bit still dreary. But we're not dreary in this studio because the Cowboys one
on Sunday. You got your cookie? I did get a cookie today. Ready to roll, cheating, cheating on this hump day. How are you feeling, Kurt? Feeling good? Yeah, it's hump day. Feeling good? Are you out on Friday? I am okay. We're not doing player interviews today. We're doing them Thursday. So we'll have one Friday and probably one early next week. We had to move our schedule around. Awesome. How you doing. It's almost called you. Kurt looked right at you. Nate,
Oh man, just just ready. I'm ready to roll into this. Man. I got so man. You know Doug that's gonna call him Kurt hold back on the calls because we got we're gonna do a lot of little bumping and grind in the day. So because I have some questions and you know, and I'm quite sure Shannon has this. First of all, First of all, great job last night. I wish you could have been there. He did Concrete Cowboys. Yeah, fun show. It's nice to see hanging with the bulls
boys carry. So we had two constant two constants yeah right, everybody, Yeah, everybody else rolled saying wow, but that last night, I ain't think we could duplicate what we did the week before we did. You were worried about worried about the mix, the mix of Mick hell Helman and Nick. You know, you know, Hellman kind of laid back, but you know Nick and Mick kind of like I'm like, oh, that's kind of all all, you know, you know, not that
that was gonna bump heads. It's like, you know, we're trying to be a happy hour, right, we don't want to be intense football hour. It's a different show. Yes, But anyway, I'm through with that. I'm just there. I'm just there for the free food every week. Of course you are guaranteed. This is one thing that's guaranteed on on concrete Cowboy half hour is we're gonna all get our waters and we all gonna get a big plate of guacamola with sauce. And it's pretty and it and it,
from what I understand, tastes great. Did you eat something? Ye? Okay, good, good, it's pretty good. Now you're definitely gonna get that. Yeah, and you have to catch y'all eagle to him before he you know, put up the expense card because he'd seen it disappear in that space. He gets out there early, he gets out, but don't tell him I opened it back up after he left. Yeah, but I'm through you, sir.
All right, Well, we got a game this weekend, another one game seven, game seven in Washington, d C. Against on the road. Who do y'all thinks the biggest rival in the division Now, I kind of feel like it's Philly down. It used to be Redskins when you were there, right, Yes, that was like a huge rivalry. I don't what to be, to be honest with you, when once we started winning, because when we were losing, it was everybody because we
were so bad. Once we started winning. We were fortunate that every I think even one year, we had every all three teams in the playoffs. So it was not a let down. Yeah, so everybody was like three years straight. It was like, you know, you you just went on a three week high sometime because you had back to back to back. You had back to back and then go to play a AFC team, then back to your division and man, it was fun. It was it was fun. You never came off that high because if you did,
you got crushed. Yeah, where did you hate playing the most in the division. I didn't want to go to filling. I did not want to go to filling. The fans I could deal with because I could talk noise to them. But the players at one time they had Jerome Brown, Reggie White, Clyde Simmons, self, Joiner, Byron Evans, two great safeties, Muddy Waters and I can't think of the other kid. And then at the right at the right on the right side, the two tackles was U Mike Mike Goldick
and uh and Pitts. He was a number one picked from Atlanta that they gave up on it and they brought him in. Uh And man, we was like and they wasn't giving up maybe twelve points a game. Ain't telling my sacks. They were sack master jam and uh, it's like you woke up like this, this ain't gonna be a good day. And then we got we got to go to Fiddling. And that team kind of embodied the fans too, right. They were just nasty. They they had a court at the bottom in the basement. Yeah.
And uh. I had a cousin he's no longer with us name. We call him Nod, and uh he would always want to come to the Fiddler game. I said, Nad, you know how many tickets you need? How need five? Say, Nad, not go up over that cowboy stuff on, do not go up there? Uh man. He would put on every blue piece of they do it, and him and his buddies would go. Man, they'd be ready. And I guess the fans figured these dudes came to fight. Yeah, if they're wearing this to the stadium, they came to fight.
So they And I'm like, but I guess they sighted in the same area with the same people. Over the years they got to yeah, and I'm like, wow, I used to be looking. I used to come out out of the game whether we want. I was like, where's my cousins where everyone either beat after them? Hey, we got a new feature we're testing out today. What is that, sir? If you go to the Cowboys app, you download the Cowboys app, there is a fan Pulse feature if you watch the podcast on the app and you can vote
on different topics that we talk about. Right now, the topic that is up is who's the biggest rival in the division? See and look at that? Who do you Who do you guys think? I mean, who do y'all are closest to the players now? And who did the players feel the biggest rivalry is? We should text a couple of you guys. Man, you know what, Let's ask him that on when we get when we sit down with him. That's a good ongoing question. Yeah. I personally,
from a fan perspective, I think it's Philly. I think one their their fans are so I don't over the top and yeah, and they're they're not nice. They're just not nice people in Philadelphia. And I think that from a fan perspective, they talk more trash and they they have felt more entitled and up until last year hadn't really done anything. So you could always say how many
trophies if you we can't do that anymore. But I just feel like the Redskins haven't been that great the Giants, even though the league tried to make the Giants and natural rival by opening the season, it work. No, I just feel like Philly there's just something there because I know this. I talked to one of the police policemen attent the stadium, and they arrest more people at the Philly game by like almost tripled than they do any
other home game that we have at the stadium. So they're just not Not only are they're not nice, I think they're angry and violent. I think they act on they're not nice. Legal huh, they're doing something ill to wind up in jail. Yeah. And I actually had a friend of mine that, uh female, that went to a game a couple of years ago, and she wore a Cowboys gear. She got her hair pulled from behind in the stands. She got pushed, Yeah, and she was just
rolling with it. She was like, I'm not gonna fight anybody. She was kind of laughing about it, but they were She's a nice lady and they were not nice to her. I'm gonna tell you something. Many they don't play. Yeah, how do you Who do you think, Kurt? I think it's Philly. Yeah, and in part they've been the better team in the division right here lately, so I think that adds to it as well. So what about you, Douglas? Yeah, yeah, I think anytime somebody in your division just won the
super Bowl, they better be your biggest rival. Yeah. Yeah, they're the ones you gotta beat. Well, let's get into the ones you gotta beat. This week's getting a little bit into this Washington game and talk about this off this Cowboys offense and this Giants, I mean this Redskins. I'm having a hard time with words, names and words today. I don't know what's going on, but yeah, Washington and on paper again, it seems like every week on paper you start looking at it and you're like, how are
they going to win this game? This looks like another defensive game, Kurt. You pulled some stats. Washington is fifth in yards allowed with three hundred twenty six point two a game, and eighth and points allowed at twenty point eight. Are they that good? Who? Who they played? The O their schedule pulled up over there. I know they played Carolina last week they want to nail by the beat Carolina, they got got blew up by smoked. Yeah, they beat
they beat Green Bay, yeah, believe. And then they lost to Indianapolis, which how that happened at them? Yeah, and then they beat Arizona pretty good and their first they're opener, So they kind of sound like us. Yeah, up and down. Yeah, that's they haven't had back to back wins yet, and so you know, but I'm gonna tell you something, and I'm going straight to the heart of it. The matchup is simple of this right here, the run pain um Alan Jonathan Allen versus our two into our sinners, our
center and two guards. And that's the ticket. Bro. I'm telling these they don't have a lot of sacks, but they only give up ninety point two yards in Russian a game they get aufter you, bro, and versus that run. I think my man Ryan Carrogan had his first sack last week. But he's a he's a workhorse, he's been around a few years. He's he's you you know, and I know we're talking about But whoever runs this ball the best, I think we'll win this game. Controls the clock,
controls the cloud, I mean with because their defense. They feel good about their defense, and we feel good about our defense last week. We will be in any game, and I'm talking about it won't be ugly Eland. We will be in any game. If we can run anywhere thirty five plays or more and a half, and we can be forty five or fifth percent in the first half on third downs, we will be in every game. I think because our defense want want to have played.
But maybe nineteen to twenty two snaps and that ain't nothing for our defense in the rotation we have with our defensive line, that would be nothing. And so but the possibility of Sean Lee coming back fresh. If our offense can maintain what they just the plays, you know, I don't know what you will score. You know, can you score seven seven seven? You know like you did last week once you started scoring. I'm talking about holding onto that ball, keeping our defense fresh. Control it. We
have to control the line of skimmies. These two boys from Bama can take over the game. Here's they got four sacks between them. Here's a couple more Kurt stats. Taking over Kurt's job. He's feeding the stats and I'm just reading him off a piece of paper. So going what you said, Washington's dominated the time of possession this year at thirty three. I hate that minutes the thirty
two seconds to twenty seven, twenty eight. And then they've also not allowed a one hundred yard rusher yet in her eighth and rushing yards at ninety point two, they faced David Johnson, Alvin Kamara, and Christian McCaffrey so far. Yeah, last week Carolina, Carolina's fourth in the league and rushing in one hundred and thirty nine point four yards of game, and they they held him to was it eighty one? Yeah? They they haven't allowed one hundred yard rusher. I think
you might have said that had one hundre Russia. Or yet, do you come out out and just try to establish the run and say this is what we're gonna do, or do you come out that you think maybe loosening them up and running some and how you do it? I mean, what runs have been successful against them? You look at those and see does that fit into your game plan? You know, Uh, they have a nice corner and your boy talk a lot number twenty four Norman, Yeah, so but you can attack them. It's gonna and I
hate to say this. It's gonna be all about communication. You know, when you go on the role, you got to actually know who to block and who to attack, and you got to take advantage of it. You got to go into knowing and be supreme. Look confident, I know my job and I know what to do because you can make plays on it. What was the score in the New Orleans game? Oh, let me look here. They blew them out pretty dirty. What was it? Thirty something done? Yeah, I give me a minute to get
to that page. Well, anyway, New Orleans, and I'm not saying we had a high powered offense that New Orleans has, but we can score I know we can score twenty four points. You know. All we gotta do is capitalize, you know, and run a large number of plays. The more plays you run, the more chances you have of making a big play. You can run consistent good plays.
Don't have no negative plays. Limit the negative plays, and take advantage because they're gonna give you on every defense in every game, they're gonna give you four or five shots at that end zone. Can you take advantage of where you're running back? Come free in any trip you throw a long winning the quarterback overthor it or the
guy dropped the ball. If you can limit those bad plays like that and take advantage of them to turn them into big plays, how you going to somebody back and beat them, but you being consistent in who you are. I just hope they stick with the run game, because the Carolina it looks like they started out running and we're running pretty good, but then fell behind and completely
gave it up. Yeah, and so I hope that the Cowboys, whether they get that far behind or not, continue to pound the rock and jam them and up the running yards and the time of possession. How important is it on the road to jump out and get a lead. That way, you're not playing from behind and you're not forced into the crowd, noise and comfortable situations. Yeah, man, that's key. That's paramount. If you can either keep it even, you know, be no more than three points down in
a hostile environment. This team should be good enough with zeke and if they free that, let them stay free. They should be good enough to win this game. I'm not discounting their offense. We'll talk about it tomorrow. But with a team like this, go down by ten and they're good enough to squeak it out like they did with it against Carolina. They're good enough to squeak it out. Uh. And that's just how it is. Because they have a running game too, Yeah, that they like a lot. So
we have to be good on special teams. Uh. And and let our defense take this game over because I think now our defense we had two turnovers. Correct me if I'm wrong, U Kurt. We had two turnovers in two games. We had a turnover the first two games ago.
We had a turnover this game. So they're starting to come and when you now these guys are looking for it seems yeah, it seems like turnovers, especially with this team when they when they come, they come in flurries, like they won't have a turnover for eight games, and all of a sudden they'll it'll catch on fire and then they four three games. Well, I think there was a stretch a year or two ago that they went damn here the whole season without getting a turnover. But
you know what I'm saying, it's like that game. We go eight games, we got the sist that interception hit Byron Jones right in the face. If Jeff Heath hadn't been there, Yes, wouldn't have had that one. Yeah, well yeah, but it just seems like they come in flurries. So like you said, they there, they start looking at it, right, they realized they could do it. What two games are going then we have two? We had one takeaways. I'm not sure. I have to look two games ago we
had one. No, we had two. Yeah, we get a lot more fumble recoveries than interceptions, but I'm telling you, and we just have to be alert. It's supremely confident. That's that's what separates the middle of the road teams from the good and great teams. Even the good teams know that. Man, they's of what we got them. You know. You know, it's hard to get an interception against this team because the quarterback is is like Dak is like this quarterback of vice. First, they just they they watched,
they watched where they throw the ball. They careful about where they throw the ball. But if we can just be precise, get the ball out of our hands and be precise and get back to that thinking. And duncan see this. When we were good two years ago and even part of the last year, you know, and I hate to say this, but we were dinking dunk team, you know, and and that's how we won. Now we ain't even you know, in the role lost. We ain't even Dinking and Duncan. We just not making we's not connecting.
And so get back to Dinking and Duncan. And then all of a sudden we see Zeke break break it open, you know, that's what we gotta do. Is it just a weird twist of faith? I think Zeke's fumbled both times he's played at Washington. I guess there's something something, you know, the numbers sometimes just some teams just like they look at it. We got him last year, and they work at it. They're like, we can get him, we can get him. He's a fumbler. He's not a fumbler.
But some teams just you know, they're going to go their last leg to make sure they keep the thing going. You know, it's a little mojo for them. Yeah, well, speaking to mojo, let's take a break and gather ours up for a mojo filled second segment. How does that sound? You're gonna cut your air? Yeah, at least one more time. Keep it going, Kurt, it's getting chili now. I wouldn't. I'm not worried about chili. I didn't do this for comfort or to look good. I mean I did it
to look ridiculous for you do conference. I ain't never had to worry about looking good. So so you got you got what treatment Friday? Friday, and then you have two more if all goes well? Yeah, two more than you'll be done. So I only got to keep doing this for about six eight more weeks. You can stop whenever you feel ready. I will. I'll stop whenever I'm ready. All right, So you don't tell me what to do. You're not the boss me, No, that's for sure. You're
not my girlfriend unless you want to be. Yeah. Yeah, had two many girlfriends? Yeah, too many? All right, let's take a quick break. We want to ask you better. Yes, all right, let's go to the phones. Greg. We weren't able to get to you yesterday. Thanks for calling back. How are you hey? Hey? Um, I was wondering they're gonna give Noah Browns a decent shot for coming back. And also, hello, sir, you can ask your question bye.
My latest report in my inside reporter named Kurt Daniels said that he will be back in blocking better than ever. God taking that totally out of context, well, what did you say, hey, Kirt? That type of receiver, you know, do you want to burner like like Bryce Butter out there? Do you need to more of a possession guy who can maybe a little more round it and can block when he needs to block? What's your next question, sir?
He was playing for the Reds and Cowboys. Did you kind of realize how special that was at that time? And something like that? Again? What you cut out a little bit? Who did you say Dion was playing with the Reds and the Cowboys? No, no, only when he played with us? How special that was? We didn't care what he played with the Redskins, you know when he
played for played baseball. Yeah, sir, I talked to him about that all the time, I said, Dan Man, I said, you know you and bow Jackson and maybe one or two other guys, how special that was. And the first thing he got to talk about, how how hard it was to play a baseball, how how you have to concentrate, how you have to be so much better better mentally,
you know, because football just came natural to him. You know, he watched a little film he backed in, but when it was baseball man trying to hit that ball, trying to do the little nuances of what the game requires you to do. He said, that was that was work. That was a great time back then. Um, I was hoping sometimes you guys get as a special gash who oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll ask him since you since you brought it up, because men him do a show. But Moose, let me tell you what Moose is doing.
Moose is uh, you know, he works for Fox as maybe the third guy, him and his guys, and then he uh, he just got back from London. He did that game. And Moose is a general manager for one of the uh it's a new league that's out and he's a general manager for the San Antonio deal in football. Yes, And so he's between Fox doing shows for us and being a general manager and his kid is in school, I think up in New York and just doing all that.
He's busy. He leaves our show a lot of times and go and flies right either down to San Antonio or shoots out straight to the Fox shows. He's busy. Also, I'm sorry as also, I really appreciate you, uh Sunday after the postgame show there and uh that he used to be a scout. Yeah, yeah, how he picked uh and the Cowboys. That's right right forever. Appreciate the call, Greg, Yeah, thank you. I'm gonna tell you something, man, And you know, y'all hear me say this a lot on the show.
You know. Just I just thank God man, from my from from my situation and all of my ex teammates man. Yeah. Uh. And one thing I love love about my teammates Man. We could disagree on stuff, man, you know, no matter what it is, and we we you know, boom, we still can can can be together. Man. And that that
football when you with the right group of guys. We we even we was older like that last super Bowl gets the Steelers, man, we all knew collective like this, Maybe it fellas we won that one because we were more experienced together unit and when Larry, you know, I think it was with the Steelers was our last one. And it's like, wow, who do you? We know you still hang out with Dion? Do you keep in touch with any of the other Well, I gotta called October back. He called me a week or two ago. So my
mind as good as it used to be. But uh, Tony Tolber. You know, we're supposed to get with Charles, but when he's seeing him walking around out her bath for the lately. So he came by the office the other day, did he when he come back to office, you and him got to do a deal. It don't matter who interviewing you, just gotta get it done because he knows he knows Shannon pretty good. I think we're just grabbing bringing down the studio. Yeah, we gotta we
need you in it because that's gonna be. What's great is y'all talking about old stories and uh uh, Dion and Mike called me the other day cussing me out because uh, he didn't want to get rid of Dad's, you know, and so he wanted me to hook him up with the radio guys like anything that you just called in so you can go to cussing. But you know this dude up playing the cuss right over. Forgive me. I'm sorry. I know I'm on radio and ain't supposed
to cuss too. Minute later cuss again. So this is internet, so we're fine. Now I'm talking about he'd be on radio. Yeah, dump buttoned up? What do you think about? Uh? Cam ran nine times for forty three yards last week? Does Dak have to run in this game for them to be successful? No, he's just out of timely scrambling. If
they forced him to run, just run. Yeah, don't you think they have to design someplace for him to run out of the out of the eleven runs that he ran last week only for him was designed, so that means seven was just scrambles. I mean they've gone some games where they haven't done that many before. Yeah. I agree with you, Kurt, I'm with you. But see this, this is the beauty of this thing is when you are that guy and let's say it's early in the
game and it's zero zero, take off and run. Now, if it's late in the game, you up or down by three or seven points, three or seven points, now you might have to stand there because you might have to get that thing. Yeah, twenty thirty was down the field and make it happen. So you got to stand there, you know, and do what you do and move around just another get it down field, because if you take our running, you ain't gonna five or ten and we
need chunks. That is the difference. And knowing, you know, and I'll go to Aaron Rodgers. You know, he okay, I need five here, you know, next, you know, then all of a sudden, I need twenty and you see him just move around just enough boom, I mean, and that's what he's got to learn. Early in the game. You see Aaron Rodgers take off your hell fake like and then he just take off. Run, yeah, slide, get that first down, you know, not the defensive Line'm a man,
this dude running off can't get older, you know. You it's a game within a game, and that you know. I asked Moose this morning and Rick Goslin I said, man, what is wrong with this kid? Does he not realize that he is the man. I mean, once you realize the man, you can look at the game differently. The coacher, Hey man, hey, wen't need you running? All right? Okay? And then Sunday comes around. Sunday come around. You get
that read, you get that reading. Ain't there? Just take off, get the first down, stride, Hey, coach, what's the next play? They ain't gonna be sitting there saying then not here, you na, They're gonna be like, okay, first down, let's go. Yeah, you know you you have to. He has to be aware of what's going on too, and and uh not not to compare, but Tony was at his best, you know when he had a run game, and when he's like, okay, wow,
you know, I got this option in the backfield. I can you know I got these options on the outside, you know, okay boom boom, oh all right, first down? Now I got these Now he's looking at again, Well, I got this man in the backfield. I got all these options called I took off a ran just for five yards. Now we can carry this thing a little bit. Fu and his best players were always the ones that he extended to play. Yeah, the play broke down and yea guys coming back to him, cutting across front of him.
So do you think that you think you can Dak can mentally realize Okay, when I run, things happen. Let that be top of mine. Not have his phone? Do we have his phone? No? Because you got dog. Do you got his number? You got everybody's else. If the ring tone okay, you know what he because you know what we call Dack and we'd pick it up and be Joe Looney. So what we need to do is call and just tweet, hey, hey man. The question you're just asking, dude, hey man, we wanted Is it in
your mind? And when you realize that you run that things happened better for this team, because I really would like to ask you that question because he seems that don't know it. I mean, now this question and I'm repeating. You think I'm trying to be funny. No I'm not. I'm like, don't him and the coaches to say, wow, when this if Nayton Shannikan sit there and think about it and they only got a half a degree of
between them, well you know last thing. If you don't know if you're going to sign him long term, why say I mean get his best football out of him anyway, So that can help you decide whether you sign him long exactly. It's just, man, it's something as simple as you just said, my friend, it got a richter. Well, they said after the game, both him and Zeke said that his decks running open things for both Zeke's running
game and for the passing game. So they have to even I think the coaches have to call plays for him to run. Most quarterbacks, and I'm talking about the top ten quarterbacks they can him. They make They make you defend the whole field. You know, Pat Mahons got four weapons, and you have to defend the whole field. You cannot double hunt Kelsey to read us who you're gonna double. So he has the ability. So when you see him run outside the pocket, you you still gotta
scramble to your man. It ain't like we're gonna scramble into a certain area because he's limited in what he can do. They see Zeke, they're gonna scramble into a certain area and get close to a man because they feel he's limited. Well take it and put it in the pocket. That's where he's limited at. But once he get going, scrambles outside the pocket and he get going and make a few passes, or he run the ball. Now that's the on the way, that's the only way
he's been known to spread out. This is what's amazing. He rushed for nine hund He had nine hundred games, nine one hundred yards games in college. He scored each year three years in a row, ten touchdown, ten rushing touchdowns a year in college. You just can't take him and say, hey, man, all that you did and forget what you were good at. Yeah, and so can you say that exactly how you just said it, because you
baby light over, you said. Do you think he realized that when he does that in the game, Yeah, he knows. He's got to know. Like I mean, I get I get that. You go out there and you can only take what a defense give you. But there there are there have to be times where you're trying to make too much happen in your brain and with your arm,
and you just you need to react. And you know, if he's run that much in college, at some point it's got to be like, Okay, I can throw this ball four yards back to the other side of the field and he's gonna get tackles soon as he hits the ground, or I can run this for eight right now and slide like I just at some point he I think he's got to figure out, like what you said, even though this isn't the game plan and they beat it in me all week, if this is what's happening,
don't run the ball, wait for the past, wait for the route to open up. At some point he's just got to be like I hear you, yeah, but this is what I need. This is what I need to do for us to way the game. Gona the game, gonna dictate it man, the game, And that is what the great the great. And I'm wrong for what I'm doing because I'm selling that wrong type of hope. But the great quarterbacks and even these some of these young ones,
they got it. They got it when when number one ain't there, number two, eight there, and most teams don't have three four options, So we look at some teams don't have two. So when we look at the Saints, erased them. They got four options easily. You can't look at it. You can't look at Kansas City they got four, they got five. Can't look at them. You don't can't
look at New England. Can't Yeah, leave them folks along scheme what I think this and you hear me said one hundred times when you don't have the talent of these teams, Yes, you do hot to scheme a little bit better. The Cowboys do hot to scheme a little bit better because if they don't, if they can't take away Beasy, that means we ahead of the curve. That means we are getting beasiy were happen them get open because it's too easy to brack it a slide. Now,
they't easy to stick one one on one. Ain't easy to get them one on one, but it's easy to brack it. I see that eighty nine percent of our fans. So does Dak have to run in this game for the Cowboys to win? Yes? See, even even the fans can see it, eighty nine of them. That means there's probably three that they're like, no, he can throw us to a victory. I don't know that front seven that Washington's build up though, there be scary to run again, not the top draft choices in that run bootlegs, get
him outside, don't run him up the middle. All right, let's take a quick break Chris, hang in there. We'll be right back after we pay some bills. I'll hang it with the boy like me and you love. It's cool, a lot of cool restaurants there. We go, Let's go the phones. Chris Virginia, Man, how's it going, what's up? What's up? Hey man? I made my first trip out there in the Fort War during the draft, and I had myself to blast did you pretty cool place? Man? Beautiful you guys, I'm so jealous y'all get to work there.
I'm gonna tell you a little story. Man. We had a guy named Mike de Rocco from this team, came from Jacksonville, and so he was talking, you know, we was interviewing because he was telling us about he was our inside guy. Behind him his line, that's what we call it, on the shoulder, I do. And so he said, man, this is my first time. You know, last time he was eight years ago, you know, and it's my first time being here man. And I'm looking at the stadium. Man,
I I'm in awe. I said, yeah, and I've been to Jacksonville and I definitely can't get it all by that. He said, yeah, but we do have two pools, really a pool to get in with his come home. Man. But anyway, it is beautiful, hill Bro was beautiful And did you really enjoy Did you take advantage of the scenery? Yeah? I did the Star Tour and I went through when you guys were drafting. I saw barat us and day when you were doing a fifth round draft pick. I
want to do the whole place. It's oh, it's so beautiful. That oh cool? Man. Yeah, so there you go proof from a fan that it is really cool. So come to it. Oh yeah, I'm gonna beat the game this Sunday. Very excited. I haven't been through a game since twenty fifteen and watch Matt Castle playing fedec oh man, but we won? Was that the Was it raining that game? I was just cold. I think it's here right now. I think five degrees and the wind is blown. This
is a cold day. When he won again? What's the weather? That's when Deshaun fumbled? Oh yeah yeah. What's the weather supposed to be like Sunday and Sunday? How how should I pack? You're gonna need a wind breaker? I would guarantee that is it dry? Yes? Okay, good, I can deal with that. What's your question? Are you gonna see? I was gonna see if I wanted I got my star Mancazine. I was gonna see which one of you guys were gonna be at the field. Maybe I can
get an autograph you and Dave brod Us. Yeah, well I'll be there. Yeah about it in DC? Yeah, yeah, come on down, I'll be Rodness wonna be there, man and brought us will be back here. Yeah, they'll be doing the pregame show, but me and helling chicken out, so don't worry about seeing. I'll be working from home, thank you. Kurt doesn't travel, but I'll be there, Helmet. It'll be there, Rob, Nick, Derek, and make sure you
don't need Mickey out. He'll be mad Mickey. You'll be there, so just I could I could go without Mickey, poor Mickey. But my only question is, guys on what do you think? How how good you all think? Um? Connor's been playing and Swayne good question man, thanks for has been playing outstanding, y'all? All right, man, Swayne's been playing outstanding. Connor is still learning, is he and he he f in the face. See this is what bothered His weakness is these guys strength.
They can bull rush and Connor gonna have to make sure his hands inside. He gonna make sure when he planned his feet not to get two dug in because if they jerk him, they get they're strong enough and he's not heavy enough yet has enough man strengths. So when they jerk on him, you know, and try to put him forwardy you know you don't have to, you know that waiting his rend to sit down with staring Payne sixty three three nineteen you got the highonitis sixty
three three h five. Yeah, they all six three two nine. Yeah. But see they've got that man strand. Yeah, you know, and the man I have it out to this year. But like Troy say, they ain't gonna do you no good this year. Right. One interesting stat before we go from Kurt Red Cowboys. Redskins are plus four for the year and turnovers takeaways, which is tied for fourth. The Cowboys are oh and three when they have a turnover, and three and oh when they don't say whatnot, I
didn't get that. When you lost, the Cowboys are o and three they haven't won a game when they turn the ball over. Oh, when we turn it over. They are three and o when we turn it on. When we made another team turn it on. No, so don't put the ball on the ground. Boys. We didn't get Nates Beasley bracketing that's wrong down here. That's tomorrow. Well, no, no, I guess we could do it today. Well, we need
to get out. We need to get out of here today because you have a lot to do telling people what you're gonna do and do we're gonna get out of here. I'm just gonna go get some players lineup. Okay, that's great. That's then I got meetings the rest of the day. So yeah, yeah, he's so important. Now, he's a big man the show. Not that important man's calls man, So I hope you don't do that on Friday when
it's fan Friday. Wow. Okay, thanks for showing up, Kirk, Thank you, Nate, thanks for bringing it, Douglas, thank you for doing what you don't Thanks for pushing all the buttons. Pressley, thanks for helping out. We will be back tomorrow. It'll be our defense in their offense. Yes, with the one exception of the Cole Beasley bracketing theory that Nate broke down at lunch for us, you guys will appreciate it,
So tune in tomorrow. Hanging with the Boys. This is a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.
