The following he's a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. Blowing out of the backfield, exploding down the sideline. He's hanging with the Boys, broadcasting live from Dallas Cowboys World headquarters at the Star in Frisco. Now your host, Nate Newton, Kurt Daniels, and Shannon Gross.
It was huge from the point of complimentary football. It's definitely the best we've played from executing on offense, and they're making taking advantage of when the defense giving us turnovers in good field position. We're just feeding off of each other. And we felt it early if it was Connor McGregor or whatever it was, but we came out and attacking. It was a great, great win. Whoever Jason
with a cole, he starting to sound like coaching. Yeah, Dak Prescott, Oh wow, they were feeding off each other. They were feeding Zeke, they were feeding Busy. Wow. What a game. What a game? What a game, man, What a game? I saw it. I called it forty to seven on Friday. If you listen to the show, you know he called it. He called it after we confiscated his passport. I might have to put that triple. I was all excited this morning, going to man, what's our
phone number? Man? Oh eight eight eight eight five five two two nine seven, and don't be calling with this is what was wrong? Yeah, we got to go on the road and win next week and show we can do it. No, that's not this show today. Let us enjoy this. We got two questions, we got a statement and we have a question. We're gonna do statement first or whatever. I don't know if it's a statement, it's
something better. Don't you know that we're the most highly sought out to listen to show and this cowboys nation is called hanging with the Boys. Yes, Mama grows Fisher Bookie every Friday. Fisher Bookie went somewhere to have some fun this weekend. And I'm gonna Shannon do all. And she found out that we were worldwide. Tell the story. Welcome Paul to the show. Get Paul question huh no, oh my god, man, we gotta go. Hey, what we introduced Paul Paul? This is the question before he tells
the story. And this is for you too, Doug and you yeah, Kurt, Doug to the voice. Okay, it's popped up as I am about the Cowboys winning. You know, I heard a few people say, uh, this is the NFL, this is a fluke this that Where do you think do you feel that way about yesterday's when Kurt, do y'all feel like okay, yeah, okay, we'll see next week and all of this? What do you feel about the win?
And Paul, Well, first of all, I'm absolutely over the win, um, because I was I was literally I really lose this game. I'm literally not coming back to Dallas because I thought it was always a bad luck charm, right, so now never know that with one I can actually come back again. But for next week, UM, I'm not too sure, like because what we're on the road today next week? Yeah yeah, yes, yes, yeah, it's on the road next week. And I'm just like,
I'm kind like apprehensive. You think them forty points at least twenty of them one good? You just think that Jacksonville one had an energy? Actually thought we we we really tunged up, Like Jacksonville coming on like ranked just the number one defense and we just completely destroyed them, right, So, I mean, and Doc was phenomenal, easily was fantastic. The defense were happing in the row jail and made some really good huts. You had some great seats. You were
like second rows, second row, forty eight yard line. Yeah, those were awesome. You got to see it up close. I have sent the middle of eight club as well. So Paul's leaving. Paul's leaving tomorrow. This is his last day in town. So I was like, let's get him on the show and we'll talk about the dam in the game and all that stuff. So let me get to the story. Okay, So Mom goes to goes to the casino in Vicksburg. She's about an hour either from
Freeport or Vicksburg. She goes to Casino vicks Burg, Mississippi, which is on the Mississippi River. That's where the casino. Yeah, you know where that's at. Yeah. And she's there and she goes into the sports book because they now have a sports book at the at the Boat casinos, and they've never had one before, so she had never been to a sports book. So she was gonna go and she was gonna put a little money on the Cowboys
to win. And she's standing there and she's staying in the sports book and she's looking at all the numbers running around everything, and she's trying to figure out what a parley is, and a guy standing next to her is wearing a Cowboys shirt and a Cowboys ball cap, and she starts talking to him about what a parley is and he starts explaining what the point spreads are and she's like, no, no, no, I know what the point spreads are. And she and Mom already thinks that
we're like worldwide. She thinks that everybody that's a Cowboys a fan in the world listens to this show. So she told her It turns to the guy, She's like, you're a Cowboys fan. Do you listen to Hanging with the Boys? And he goes, actually I do, and she goes, I'm mama gross and he's like, oh, no way. He's like, He's like, are you kidding me? A celebrity. So now Mom really thinks that every single Cowboy fan she calls me.
I'm at the game yesterday. She calls me. She never calls them game day because she knows I'm running around like crazy. I'm like, oh God, Mom's calling. Something's wrong. So I picked the phone and she I tell you a story, and I'm like, okay. She tells me that story and I just died laughing. I was like, that's so awesome. Yeah, awesome, gross gross, So Paul, yes, tell us.
First off, I just want to give our players a huge shout out from when you were here last week because they're they're filming a deal for Bank of America with you featuring some of our different fans. And we left the studio and the open locker room was going on when we were here last week, and we went over and I was going to introduce you. You wanted to meet Tyrone Crawford and the Human Law because those are two of your favorite guys right now. So I was gonna go grab Tyrone and bring him out and
introduce you to him. Well, Zeke was in the weight room working out. Yeah, that was a surprise and good conversation from ten fifteen. Yeah, he stopped and just sat there like shot the breeze with you for Chris Chriss. He was walking by it. I just said, all right, seek you're doing and he's like, what's that noise? What's that accent? Yeah? Looked at me like what Yeah? And then who else did you meet? You met Byron Jones, Jeff swim Layton Layton. Yeah, he's a big boy man.
He has a big guy like actually farst like he plays lame back guys in sick. He's master, he's tall, he's long, six foot four, six foot five. You don't like it old school. I like it, like it looks cool. He need to get a horse call if yeah, even moral school, yeah, whether he has may have to use it all the things. So yeah, he's he's getting, he's growing, he's growing mentally. You know, he's he's he. I think the more he knows, like jay L a couple of
you with last year. Notice when Jayla will make a tack, it will all be off to the side. He will barely make the talk. Now he's hitting dude straight on. When you start knowing what to do, he's running through it. I can't remember when exactly a drink the game it was, but it was inside running for the Jags and you see Jalen just coming off the state and just it must have knocked him up a bit three yards and
yeah it was brilliant. Ye. So yeah, shout out to our guys because I thought that was really cool that they all kind of hung out with you and talk to you and you didn't even need me there. You were just holding court. So but you got to meet Tyrone.
He got Antoine followed you on Instagram. Yeah, and I was ever in Scotland, hit up on and he's like cool Paul hanging out with Antoine would in the off side of the I'm trying remember what was something there when I was in the Obviously I wasn't sate light, so I was in the sate lane before the game, and and the DLA with the Drows not tw see me wearing my colt and he just came over and just came at high five, so he annoyancement. Yeah, pre game, that's cool man, cool story. And I checked this out
right here we was. I asked the question and we got we got part of this answer. And then all callers listen to this question. I get the feeling from a few out of locals that they just don't believe what happened this past game happened. A lot of people say they're trying to wait the next week. Me, I'm a little more optimistic. I think that maybe they can't score forty points, but I know they can score twenty four points. Yeah, and I know our defense good enough
to hold. So I mean, was this a little bit over the top. Four you did it scare you to the point where you like, did they score all the points in one basket? You know? So, I mean you're having more to add to that so we can give it the curtain again. Yeah, I mean I'm feeling a lot more optimistice and that's next am a freaching just cardio on the way how we were playing there, then
we should easily when lately you said four points seems good? Yeah, well you think I think it's showed that well, like Zeke said after the game, you know, we showed we can do it. Now we have we need to do it. Yeah, And I think that's where they are. I mean, they've they've obviously got the firepower where they can put up a lot of points. Can they be consistent now and do that weekend? We can't do it on the road, you know, That's why I see it. Can they do
it away from home? But yeah, they're it looks scary good yesterday? Yeah, it's great, Nate. Is there something too from a player's perspective talking about scoring and talking about getting the offensive clicking and talking about we just need to execute, but then actually going and doing it and seeing that, hey, we put up forty points. Mentally does that Does that have an effect on it? It does, you know. But the thing is you also shown that when you go on the row, like you you mentally shit.
Now it's like our offense almost like he's just go go living in mud or something. So I mean, can you can you get enough momentum, enough belief and enough continuity they say, okay, we're going on the road. Okay, I think playing against the checks and as good as that defense was up front to our offensive line learned a lot, battled through a lot. And I think when they came to Jacksonville, who's got I think a good line, but not I don't think they had a talent expecially
and Merciless and Clowney and Watts. I don't think Jacksonville had those three guys. I mean, they got guys that's comparable that can get there at certain times in the game, but not like and so I think they they they they blocked better. It was cleaner for them, and uh, and that's that's where you really need your offensive defense line when you go on the road and to somebody back yard. I think the skill position players can survive, but that's where you really need to have a good
offensive defense line where you go on the road. Yeah, and I know we say this every week, but this, this game coming up, this is a big game, man, if you can if you can put it's a division game, and you can put back to back wins together, ain't go on the road and break that cycle? Yep, and put two wins together heading into the bye week and then you get healthy. I mean, this is a this could be a huge game Sunday. Yeah, for a whole
lot of reason. Yeah, when you got the whole NFC, Kurt, look up, look up the NFC, go up under the NFL, and then pull up just NFC and see what they give you, just how the whole conference is. Because a lot of times you can get with the how the whole conference is lined up by winning and losing. But if you can't, what's that say, Bucks firing their defensive coordinator ye wow, oh yeah yeah, but they've been grumbling by him for two weeks. Yeah, yeah, they've been grumbling
by for two weeks. I just think, man, he went from one of the hottest things ten years ago to Atlanta's coach to fire. Yeah. From Devin's quantity to fire. So yeah, Cowboys are tied for seventh in the conference right now, but only two teams in the conference, the Rams and the Saints, have more than three wins, so it's pretty tough. Rams are six and oh, Saints four and one, Redskins Bears and Panthers, and the Vikings or Redskins Bears Panthers are three two and oh Vikings are
three two and one. And you've got the Seahawks, Cowboys and Eagles at three and three. I'm telling you, man, and you got beat by the Panthers in Seattle. Seattle. Yeah, but you haven't lost anything in the East. Ship, you haven't lost anything in the East. Yeah. If you can just win your East games, you end right. And so everth' gonna split, i'nna split nothing. Gotta gotta take it. Get the East taken care of because you lost against to
what afc uh? North? Is that? The North? Is that the Washington just beat the Panthers and we lost to the Panthers. Yeah, Hibreakers break already, go to Washington. Yeah, let's go to phones Antoine and DC. What's up? Man? Hello, Hi Twine, Hey, Hello, my name is Philip. I'm from France. Where to go, Douglas, Hey, Phillip, what's up? Brother? I am Philips from France. Yes you are? Yeah? How are you doing? All right? How are you doing? Okay? It's great to have a fella European up on the stage.
And I hope he's doing well. And I hope he enjoyed his strip on in two dollars. Yeah, he won in one right now. We questioned whether we're gonna let him come back. Uh, I just wanted to say one word. Yeah, what's that word? Sir? All fancies that? Okay? And uh, you know what? The play calling reminds me a lot of uh the Jim Jim Garrett era as a leoc Okay, and that's great. Go back to the basics, as he always says, go back to the basics, sir, Yes, sir, so, uh,
thanks for ticking my call. I have a great date and uh tick care yes, sir, thank you phil I, like I said, worldwide, man worldwide. Now, now I got a question, Douglas, how did you mess that up? I tell you, these uh buttons that you push to put people on hold, yeah, um, they're doing some strange things to me. I guess I think it seems so we went from Antoine and DC to Philip in France. Is the ambassador Ball? Is that ambassador from France? Are we
sure Douglas is a drinking back. I think he's under the weather. He had a good to get out and change the tire this one, and so I'm a little discombobulated. You don't know, did you hit your face on the wheel well on the spare tire? No? No, everything's good, right? But yeah? Uh, anyway, I hope Antoine calls back. Yeah. I kind of like this game though. I like you mixing it up. Well. I mean, when somebody from Rulance is the Surprise can call Roulette, that's kind of cool.
I keep saying this is this is just not not just Americas team, this is the world Steam. I keep saying that. Yeah, man, you fame example. Yeah yeah a Doug, what are your thoughts on what the Cowboys do yesterday? Offensively, Doug, I'm answering a call. What's what's going on? Okay, hang on, I'll be right back. What's your thoughts? My brother? Man? I we've I think we've been saying this the first five, first six weeks. Give me another week, Yeah, another week,
another week. What I hope this is what I hope. I hope that it's just taking this team a little bit to figure it out in jail because they didn't play in preseason. You got a whole new mess of wide receivers. Gallops. Starting to look like he's got a little something to get him, huh, get him more involved. Rico caught a ball yesterday. Man, you and you can just tell that dude has not played football very long by the way he just the way he got tackled
didn't even look right. But I'm hoping that that they're just taking a little time to jail and figure this thing out, and that you you, this can be a building block to start going forward. We know the defense is solid. You got you got a top ten to be top five defense. If you can just get this offense what you say, execute, think like a mule and just like a third bread je bad thing. Try to keep straight it is. He's been so full of at
this this this this season. This Originally mule was good. Yeah, mule is good in a certain situations, But you don't think like you will want to take that mule atmosphere on the road. Hey, check this out. Okay, these are the things that I asked that I've told us Friday, we were forty one percent on third downs. We had seventy two offensive plays, we had two forty one percent on third and we've been what like twenty seven percent and we rand seventy two plays. Uh, we thirty eight
minutes in fifty seconds. If we go on the road and have this the seventy the seven to seventeen forty one percent on third down and we can get up around seventy plays, we can win this game. Especially if we get thirty two minutes, we can win this game because that means we're scoring seven. The majord of the time, we get into the red zone six six times and we score seven two and do the rest with field goals.
I want to have a problem because I think every time we can do thirty two thirty two minutes or more, and especially we can do a majard at that time like we did against them, Like we did the majord of that time, we had thirty two plays to their sixteen in the first half. I think we had that mean we had more time on the field than them. So now our defense stays fresh nineteen forty to nineteen. Wow, So that means that means what was our third downs in that in that uh in the first half of Yeah,
because it was killing them. Yeah, And see this is what this is where we win games even if we are not leading, if we down by seven or down by three, and we got that stat there, those stats that he just mentioned. It don't bother me because I know, I offered our defense is gonna be fresh and Zeke gonna get stronger. Yeah, and now we can take the game at the end. We can take the game part of it too, though they I'm like in Houston where they settled for field goals, this time they got in
the end zone. Yeah, they got an end zone. But but more importantly, if we would we had at the end of the game against whose we had fifty two plays. That mean we ran twenty something plays in the first half. We we would we were like one for I don't know how many on third down. That does not Yeah, take I promise we It couldn't have been much. So our defense is struggling. I mean, even though they stopping
them down there on the five. This we hear that our defense on the game of forty seven plays and they were stopping them in the middle of the field. First, I know they I know they're better. I know they're better than offensive, They are better than than Jacksonville. But this is what you want to see. You want to see us being able to get off the field. They punt and we get the ball on the thirty. We get the ball on the forty two. You know, now you ain't got but sixty yards to go. Your offense
is fresh. One big play and you threatening them. You got them back on the hills. It's all about the field position and being able to get that one big play. Cole Beasley got to yesterday. Would I think of eighteen nineteen yard catch gallop opening game up with a big, big catch. You know what I'm saying. When you throw teams back on the hills, man, you don't know whether they run running the passing, Yeah, and then you know they hit Zeke. You know he just calculating, just cutting
them like a knife. Man. Did he look to you you mentioned that he was. He looked the kind of the kind of special yesterday he literally kind of special. Yes, what was that on them? And the kids? You pull it up? And he even said Zeke even said in the in the locker room post game that he had a couple of nagging injuries that had been bothering him, but but he didn't. I guess they didn't flare up or he didn't he didn't get hit on him. Yeah. Yah.
First half against the Texans, we were in twenty seven plays, they were in thirty four. We converted thirty three percent of our third days. That ain't gonna get it. Man, Where you gotta be forty year higher. You want to be like thirty five to forty if if you're gonna be at that sixty over sixty eight, you know you want to you want to make there. The only way we could could dominate their defense is stress him, get
short fields, and that happened. You know. We we hit him with some big plays early that that stresses them and they and they was arrogant enough to think that, hey we stayed man, and uh, you know we we you know, but we were smart. Coach Lanahan was smart and saying, okay, cold Bees. Pattern couldn't stop cold Bees when he was here, right, See if I'm being honest now, not trying to pick up mister Patticks, but let's see get stop him now, and like I said, his line
played just a little bit better than they had been playing. Yeah, and so it was nice, man, it was nice. And and and I'll say this with no reservation. When we got seventeen points, Jacksonville defense was not the same defense because our our our confidence went up here and Jacksonville just kind of leveled off and they was just playing. And that's what happened when you score touchdowns early instead
of kids. Yeah, and then they looked over at borders when you saw Bordles, Man, what did you think early in the game Blake Bortles stuff was named, I just didn't look excuse me, just an he literally is aware. It didn't literally he was in the game at all. Yeah, I'm serious. I mean he would he would do something mud a team will fair. He's just gonna get his hat, put it all right, like I see Tom Brady doing it.
But it just looks as he just walked on and she's like for the ball and I'm done for today. Yeah yeah, you're like, wow, like literally just didn't care. Yeah, I'll tell you what we care, and we care about you, Jerry. But hanging there, man, We're gonna be right back. We gotta pay some bills and then we'll be back to take calls. Slash Football Back to hanging with the Boars, SPE's is always a big part of what we do. He's a mismatched player in there and made a lot of big plays for us. As the game were on, he started getting a lot of attention from them, you know, whether it's the nickel or the safety or the linebacker coming towards him. So he's that kind of
a player. He typically wins in one on one situations. He's just a hard guy to guard and very quarterback friendly. So, uh, certainly a big part of what we're doing. Bess guy that we just always had a good connection. Um a guy that just played quarterback back in the day, so he has a great feel for for coverages and man and man and knowing how to get open. We knew we're gonna have some opportunities against these guys, and he
went out there and and did a great job. We did a great job game planning all week long for that, and he was excited, talked about it all week long how he was gonna have a big week. So it's great for him to come out here and do that. You know, Jason get something stuck in the throw, He got a little boys, gotta lie, Why are you dogging on that? Who was that that was Jason j first. Okay, so it was two different people. Yeah, I realized he did. I thought it was Jason Man Kurt Nate paying attention.
I'm not sure you should have one, Jason. I think Nate's throwing shade. I think you need to mark that drop. Did you just hear Nate? You did that? Jason? Did that? Just sound like Jason boys? He satellite a little Zeke. What's up, Kirk? Talk about the drawers? Yeah? Man, I don't know. I feel like you know Paul's want Oh yeah, Paul here, No, no, no, you got one job on

I promise I won't make any negative comments and you kind
of want to get make this off. Don't get him, don't get him mad, we won. No, I actually it's more of a statement and I'll you guys can tell me if I'm off face or not. You know, over and above what the defense did yesterday, I thought the huge bright spot was Dak's decision making um not just with his passes, but in the types of runs that he did. We saw him run more to the outside, close to the out of bounds where he couldn't get hit by a lot of people or couldn't take a
really vicious hit. And as the game progressed, especially with him getting those runs early, his confidence level seemed to go through the roof and he was throwing balls and areas we haven't seen him thrown before. And for me at least, I thought that was the biggest fright spot of the game and what really turned that offense around. Which think, Nate, what about what? Oh Nate's tuned out? Jerry n No, I didn't tune him out. I'm agreeing about I'm agreeing. No, I'm agreeing with it. Just DA's
no with Jared. So I mean, go ahead on, Jerry, I'm gonna continue on. You sound good. No, that was it. I just I just that's I think that's you know, moving forward, That's what I think we need to see this coaching find ways to just build his confidence early, and none of them does what I'm saying. Hey, Jerry, let me ask you this, sweet Yeah, you got a problem with him running that many times because it looked like they were probably what four or five designed runs
and he ran the ball. How many times you run the ball your state kurtis eighty two yards? Yeah, do you have a problem with him running that much? I don't have a problem with him running it because I think for the offense to be successful, he's going to have to do that when things break down and everybody's covered. The only thing that I you know, the only caveat I have on that is that he do what he
did yesterday. He tries to avoid the middle of the field and taking those big shots like we see, you know, Deshaun Watson, Guys like that taken when they're running up the middle, and he's got to protect himself, which I think he did a great job of yesterday. Yeah, thanks for the college Jerry, appreciate it. I was sure. I sent you the stats earlier. The team is Cowboys are five and oh. When he rushes at least seven times haven't lost. And when he rushes at least six times,
they're eight and two. So I need to get him out more. I think what they planned yesterday and all those weren't playing runs. But he's got to use his legs at this point in his career to make this offense work. Why don't they run him more? I was just a bay that same question. That's a good question against Carolina. He didn't run until later. He was later
when Jalen almost took his head off to see. The thing about it is, uh, And that's why I was trying to tell people Friday, like, it don't seem like get bothers. Then when Blake Borders run, I mean that's just I'm serious, you know. And he can throw the ball. I mean he'll test that when he's get when he's on his own. Yeah, they don't mind a lot when um My man for the Carolina, but uh, we really don't. The other teams don't have backups either. But that's something
I was gonna say. If I would have told you before that game started yesterday that Cooper Rush was gonna be in the game. With a little over three minutes left in the fourth quarter. You that thought Dak was an hospital with you, No, no, no, but three minutes it was. We don't either got beat the down. We don't beat somebody. Let's go back the phones, real, Anthony, Miami, what's up man, that's what's going on? What's up? Man? Y'all know how I do it? Man, pop baby today,
press a positivity. That's all I'm bringing. Man, good, all your dad caters, all your dad caters. Once again, I'm not gonna get off this bandwagon because I've been seeing it from day one, and I'm not talking nobody in that studio. I'm talking about these so called fans on all these sites criticizing them. No matter what he does, he was wide open, he missed him. He throw the two testdowns, run one test. That don't matter. He dropping downs don't matter. You better be glad you got a
quarterback with the moxie. If you look up the word maxie, this guy happening right? Am I wrong? Hey? Let me get on somebody in that studio though, and might recall Fridays these pits. Hey, mama, mama, I love you, baby, I love you. I love about l Wright, about our cowboys. But Kurt, Yeah, I've been waiting for some point. Lindy, come on now, believe in your team and lest somebody else get it. But I love you all, boys. I'm gonna talk to y'all. Take me Anthony. Hey, man, we're
gonna have you calling out Kurt. Get him. Oh yeah, you know I was wrong. I'm glad I was wrong. Hey, y'all take it every time I tell it's right here. I just can't take losing. Man. I am not a very good loser. Now. When I'm playing my wife and pac Man, you know, she beats me out of fifteen. It takes me like twenty times. She didn't win the twenty games fault and I I when I win that one, you gonna let her know. She'd be so man, Brothers like,
I don't want a super Bowl. If I don't want a super Bowl from that point on, I really don't play good at that because I just be thinking about my one victory. And that's how I own with the Cowboy. I just cannot take it, man. I just I don't get mad at people like I used to. Yeah, you know, a long time, guys, we just hold it. You know all week, you know I wanted to hold it for the next week. Paul. Yes, when you watch the Cowboys and they lose, does it just ruin your whole week?
Do you hold on to it that long? Pretty much? So, like I go and they work Monday morning and I'm just like, I'm staying up late to watch the day and I'm waiting. I'm just like, what time do you normally say if it's a three o'clock game here, that it's nine there, so it gets over around midnight or one about one o'clock midnight and they want to clock
in the morning. So for our our game when we play Tennessee in a couple of weeks, Monday night game, Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna train, stay up, I'm gonna they off work the next day just to stay up and watch the Cowboys because it'll be what seven seven thirty here, so that would be one thirty there, one for it would be a one for. Yeah, and I'll put one finished to at five am or something. Wow, And you watch every game pretty much, that's a that's a dedication, man,
do that? Hell no, No, it's a lot of caffeine, that's for sure. Yeah. Man, that's so cool. And you know what, man, what you gonna do, Kurt? You? I asked my man, by what are he gonna do? What's you gonna do? Is you watched the Cowboys that late? Oh sure? Oh yeah, I don't believe I No, I ain't. I got it. I gotta fit, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, well I don't think we can prove it so true. Hey, you know what, we went to the Stars game Saturday night and watched him score four old in one period,
came back from three zero to win five. Right. Yeah, this season, so we saw the Cowboys hang forty on Jacksonville and the Stars score four goals in one period. Calls invited back, Yeah, he's invited back back. Yeah, Because I was actually trying to what do the fee lost this game? I was like, if it came up in the Texas, we've lost him. I saw him gonna coming back, get a game back and take but not on the show Woody and New Brothels. How's that river is it getting?
Is it getting in full? Hey guys, um man, it's it's looking good. Janyon legs almost full. I'm actually a whitewater raft guide. So when you guys, uh, when the water comes up, y'all come on down and I'll put you on the river and take you on a thrill of your life. Nice man. Where is that new Bronfels where Bronthels New Bronthels right on the Guadeloupe River, coming out of the hill country, right in between San Antonio
and Austin, almost midpoint. Oh yeah, yeah, Because I'm like, man, I'm thinking he's talking about another state or something like this sounds like he's right here in takes You know what that sounds Marcus? Right, yeah, that sounds like that would be a good kicked cancer ass trip road trip. So when Kirk gets done with treatment, we need to come down there and go to rafting trip. You got big enough to hold me? Yeah? You ain't got one big. I decide that because you meet at the end. I
hate water to the business. Now we're gonna get you down. May come on now? Hey what do you are? You old enough to remember the diving pig at Aquarina Springs? Oh yeah, oh yeah, I went where sings that opened up by Austin that's in St. Marcus and my wife. He's like, man, for a guy that don't like water, he should you know, I'm about that bath you know what I'm saying about. You know, Nick, we might have to we might have to get your custom sized life jacket.
But besides that, we'll get you down. I promise you, all right, okay if you say so. Well, hey man, this is my first time to call in. I always listen to you guys. I'm kind of a cow is Johnckie. I work. I'm a photographer and I work from home and I love sitting here doing my post production and listen to you guys talk. I've been a lifelong Cowboys fan. I'm gripping the Soto. Um. I got a few things
to say. Number One, I'm a huge Spurs fan, and I love Greg Popovitch and Becky Hammond and the whole story of what they're doing that Tim Duncan, the whole deal. It's because of their high character. And the kids of this San Antonio area in Austin area have these high character guys and look up to and it seems like that's the direction that the Dallas Cowboys are moving over
the last few years. And you know, I've got a baller for a daughter to plays volleyball and she, man, I tell her, I don't care if you win or lose. Did you did you learn something? You know? Did you did you come away from this better as a person because of it? And and if you, you know, if you don't come, if you come away and you learn something, you basically turn failure upside down because it's really not even failure anymore. And I just feel like that's what
this team is doing. They're so young, they're so athletic. I mean, they're young. We've got to keep that in mind. We've got to keep supporting them. Jason Garrett is an intelligent human being and he knows what he's doing. He's got his guy's backs. They have his backs, and I just I just want these guys to keep keep balling like they are. They're just gonna keep getting better. Man. And those linebackers are you're kidding me? I mean, they're so young, you know. So the other thing is that, Nate,
I'd love to hear your perspective. I remember watching you guys back in the day and the way Troy got rid of that ball. Man was like and I know it might have been you guys up there, you know, beast mode on the on the line, but but man, he would step back like the's two and three step drops if I remember right, and tell them if I'm wrong. But you get that ball out of his hands so fast and so accurate and so and look up, he was just like a like a mechanic, guys, like the
perfect mechanics and everything. And I just I wonder if you know Dad's a ball there's no doubt. I agree with the last callers, like he's a baller. And you can't teach that. You know, that's that just you're born with that or something. I mean, his mom mama gave it to him. That whole story is fantastic. But but you know, he's a baller. And Kenny, he learned the mechanics to do that quick of a drop And is that how much is the line involved in that? And
I'd love to hear all y'all's opinion on that. I'd like to call back in a few more times to chat with you guys to keep it doing. What y'all doing is just getting better and better. And really appreciate you and y'all have a great afternoon. Thanks what he
Thanks for calling, Thanks for listening about it. As long as you're gonna get Woody because you're the first time called the three step drop stuff is easy because that basically, when the quarterback do a three step drop, he basement on his own because if you don't let that ball go mos off his mindment, it's a clock in the head and it's a certain way them guys gonna rush when they see it's a three step drops. So if you hold that ball, you kind of left yourself out
to drive. So it's a little different on the five and a seven. But how do you coach? How do you coach that? Is there? Can you can you set a stop watch and say, oh, yeah, that's what I'm saying. When you you you you you when you learn the protections and what and what drops coming off those protections and all was setting you are you know, even if you don't want to be someone block like it's a seven,
I'm gonna block like it's a seven. The ball out so quick, you know, and then you just learned and you know, hey, and sometimes you know you look back and hey, that ball supposed to be gone. I'm sorry you got hit in the coach, Hey it is that's what the coach. You don't saying, Hey, man, you're supposed to get rid of that. Well, let's take another quick break and when we come back, we'll talk more football

The one just have been the corner? Yeah no, no, not yet be looch before if we leave anime, what are you doing? The rest of the day, We're pretty much just packing up my bike. Take this damn rain back to Scotland. We're sick of this. We got enough yet, so we we get we too much rain anyway. So what's the
weather like in Scotland? Right? So in Scotland, funny enough, the weather this summer has been probably one of the best sumers we've ever had. I'm talking about well talking about in the high nineties. It was at one point, so it gets up into the nineties. How how cold does it get? Oh, I can get really cold and Celsius like, I don't know how you do it in fan hype, but in Celsius that it can be like
up to minus twelve. So oh that's really cool. Yeah, it was back in February we had that Russian snowstorm, like talking about ten inches of snow and it was. Yeah, it was. The whole country is on a stand still. Pretty much all public transport was shut off, couldn't get to work, had to work from home. People were paned buying, buying bread and milk. How long were you stuck in your house? Two days? Pretty much? Would you do? Or what's from home? And just play some photo James just
to not to some nothing got him. Well, one of your fellow Europeans was at the game yesterday, Dragar, Yes, how did How did that play out? On TV? They made it a big deal because that was the craziest scene I have ever seen pre game in my life. There's been. One of the crazier scenes was when they had pretty much the whole LA Clippers team was out on the field pregame. So you had like DeAndre Jordan, Chris Paul, all those guys because there were so many of them and they were so tall. But this was
absolutely nuts. Everybody wanted to take a picture with him. Everybody wanted to shake his hand. The players are coming over while they're trying to run drills. I mean it all hell was breaking. It's late, but dracar I was in charge of what he wanted it too. Yeah, it was crazy. It was insane. Uh. He probably had he had a video guy photography for it. Looked like his his managers major and this front of his teammates is Rollonas was there? Yeah? Is there about six or seven
guys with him? Man, I didn't want to be that guy. Should have I didn't want to be that guy I was from meeting you from him, and I just kind of was waiting for the kind of I know, I got a little bit of a man crush on him, so I was just kind of like, you know, looking at him and just oh, man, he looks even cooler
in person than he does on TV. But I I just didn't do it, man, although one of the security guards at the game did tell me I look like his his uh brother Carl McGregor is what he called me, calling me Carl Carl all day long? Do you really like to hit people? So? Yeah, so he was out there doing something with his whiskey. Us. Yeah, Paul and I actually had some of his whiskey last night after the game to celebrate. We did what the name of it,
Proper twelve. It's actually really good. It's I would compare it to uh Jamison, but it's actually a little bit smoother than James, Smoother and a lot more sweeter. Yeah, Scottish whiskey. Then, I guess nice Irish as I was supposed to. Yeah. So but that was cool man seeing him, and then the poor but the poor guy you can tell he's never picked a football up. My god, that that video clip at him throwing the football. Yeah, he actually went on his Instagram and just actually like tainting
the mica of himself. It's like what showing you what a real quarter? But it does and shows you what he does this, like he growed on from the very fattest part of the ball and then throw yeah. Shut yeah, he got all of his weight behind it. It was quite comical. So you should have, you know, criticized him and told him out what to do. No, suld I find the whole one, that's find the whole, cized him, Kurt, saying in person, So I can I feel like I
can hold my own with pretty much anybody? Yeah, that's one guy. Don't think I would miss with especially a left hand. Yeah, and he's in my weight class too, he's about one fifty five, so I would probably cut down to like one forty five maybe one thirty five. Would you believe I used to pay out one? I could have made one sun it before? Really? Yeah, bike me there, what do you weigh now about? Really? What do you think you could cut cut down too? Nate?
I've been down as boots about about two thirty. Yeah, what's well, how big? What's the biggest you've ever gotten for elever? You were four pons? Is that when you were playing doing off season? What was your playing weight? Three twenty do you gained almost one hundred pounds in the off season? Wow, that's unreal And how long did it take you to lose it? And it was Hodge to Nestle. I can't get over that. Four hundred and eleven partons. That's a lot of biscuits. It's a bad heart, bro, Yeah,
it's a heart attack. Weight down, man, Well, fellas, it's been fun, that's been fun. This is some fun show. Winning is fun. Yes, let's do it again. Let's yeah, let's put two of these to get man. You know how it is so amazing how things how fast things change. Our quarterback learned how to play football again. The offense is moving the ball, cold beat about it off according
right super Bowl. But when you mentioned cool beastly, I'd what I'd want to meet him the day before the game he mentioned mansions like I'm gonna get the ball a walk. I net that. Wow. They actually said at the meet and greet, Oh yeah, you went to a meet and greet on Saturday, didn't you? Who'd you meet? You met Cole and met Coole, Makeford goll up on Bryce Butler. Yeah, Bryce was cool, it was really They're all good dudes. Those are some good dudes, you know.
Bryce Butler father played, Uh Bobby Butler was the first round pick for the alant of facts. I think probably didn't eighty one or something defensive back what he Yeah? Yeah, first round people Johnson's era was it was good? Was he? Oh? He was nice? Yeah. I want to say about eighty three. I haven't. I just can't figure out what the hell they're doing with Bryce. He didn't even dress yesterday. Yeah. Yeah, he was on the sale late. He was on the sale land, but he was. He was hoppy late, like
helping the receivers over the rights. I just don't know why they brought him back. And he's been in on one snap something like three games. So well, we'll see what the point is. Well, Kurt, thanks for showing up, Sir yep Nate, thanks for bringing it as always. Paul, good seeing you, man. I'm a mission with all. Buddy, thanks for hot Man the other guys for sure, amazing trip home. Sure you can come back anytime now that we won. Yeah, all right, Douglas, thanks for doing what
you do. Kat, thanks for figuring everything out back there and letting us go live. Presley, thank you for helping out and we will be back tomorrow and hang with the boys. This has been a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys fo
