they can see what they can do with him. And I just worry when you started doing a contract of that nature, the money that you that this guy's gonna command, it's gonna make other dudes weren't their money a little sooner? You know, this is the nature of the beast. And back in the day when I played, you know, when you was locked in it wasn't a whole lot of guarantee money. You kind of had to just sit there and you know, and take it. But now these guys,

ain't these guys a little different than us, ain't they? No? Not not in this hey man, just my fifth year, you ain't offer me nothing. Oh man, it ain't gonna be nothing nice for that. You guys think different now. And most of these guys who used to be a holdout, yeah, now they do the hold in. Yeah. Well, they actually come to the facility and sit in during the meeting. But it is at times for the Cowboys. It's when they play these inferior teams, they sometimes played down to the level of competition. Do

you have any fear of that happening. Because remember I was the one that came in here on leading up to the Thanksgiving game and I was like, oh, this should be an absolute blowout. It should be forty points, it should be no no, no, no, no no, no, no, no no no. And I'm sitting there at halftime like, boy was our own. Yeah, there's gonna be a blowout. And here we are, the Cowboys are losing at a halftime of this New York Football Giants game. It was ugly first half. I was upset. I told you guys,

I was. I was. I was out of character upset. So these we're talking about, these next three games. You talk Colts, Texans, Jaguars, all inferior in comparison to who the Cowboys are, and I think this is this is to me, this should all be prep oration to the twenty fourth of December. These next three weeks should be preparation from the twenty fourth of December when you take on the Philadelphia Eagles. When you say that, are you talking about let's try this place, if it works, let's

do that, or is it more yeah? Yeah, Like you should be able to come out here and try stuff. You should be able to come out here right in the realm of who you are. Yeah, you know on that let's get some live looks. And I'm not just saying that, like let's get some live look say that, let's set him the like live and in the game, because I think you should be so far ahead in the lead or it's in the confidence of who you're

playing that. I mean, the Coats are the most sacked teams in the Matt Ryan is an old rigginy statue. Not ten interceptions and outside of Jonathan Taylor, yeah, Michael Pittman. But if you if you come out and you get up ten to twelve, fourteen points and the team and they got to make Matt Ryan pass the ball, we should it should be a sack party. Yeah, it really should. Yeah, And I think these next three weeks it should be.

You know, if you want to try more, see a little bit more Deryn Bland playing dB, if you want to see some Kelvin Joseph playing dB, like all the things that may maybe get see what Jabril Coxon Damon cart looked like together in the game. You should be able to try a multitude of things heading into these next three weeks. Who mature enough do they have enough veteran players to go out and try to set that tempo. Yes, I want to say yes, and again because of the

team that they're playing, no one fears. I'm not fearful enough of anybody like oh boy, like to pick on Jabril Cox or to pick on you know, uh, Kelvin Joseph like that. I think Michael Pittman is a really good He's so he is a really good receiver. But other than and that, this next three weeks should be in preparation, putting things together, getting some live looks and some looks something that you may be working on in practice in lieu of your showdown with the division leading

Philadelphia Eagles on the twenty four. I'm not saying look past them, but handle business and then be done. This is a time where you give guys rests and get still sick. Do you say, okay, we're gonna let you rest and get over this illness. That's the maturitypart I'm talking about. Be strong enough memory. You know, that's what coach Johnson challenge us. We see you see the race. You know you know that it's going to be a difficult task to catch fitly because you know you need

them to lose. Dude, you don't catch them, but you go that that that's what you're looking at. You look at We ran through a lot of teams expectingly when we knew the East was tough like where we played in when I played and we knew the Giants was still the pinnacle of our deal. We used to run through teams getting to them. We used to. And that's what I'm saying. Are they immature enough to know that we still led by this path, by this run game,

we still led by this defense. Let's handle our business, the twenty two major guys, that's handle our business. And then they started sprinkling these guys like Jesse saying as the game go on with little to no drop off because you beat these guys, are you mentally and physically enough to do that? And Bron, I'm telling you, I don't want to. I don't want to be like we did last year saying yeah they're winning, but yeah, they just beat them. You know, Start with the pre snap penalties.

I mean a lot of them, a lot of them. You can't handle wants to ball the snap. Start with the pre snap penalties and do just do your job, man and man I'm excited. Man, we should Man, is there a big risk though, that they're looking past these three games? They are looking at Oh no, you can't, you can't. You can't, man, you can't. But but that's you know, I'll be looking through these dudes to But see, that's autter we had established, that's we had established ourselves.

You know, I had never heard and I'm not Michael urban uh Emmed. I used to listening to d on them. I used to be over there because I came from We were losing when I first got here, and I used to be sitting there, I'm telling and I was sending the guys over there in the studio. I'm like, when we had a three game winning streak, when we finally got good, and one time we had a three game winning streak and I hadn't even realized it. And more important, when somebody said, hey, man, win a three

game winning streak. That was hard to believe coming from three and thirteen and one and fifteen. That's hard. J You know how hard it is to win. And that's what I tell people. So when you start winning, your attitude should be, Man, we gotta get this next one. We gotta get this next one, then when you become elite. When we became elite, I kind of finally figured it out our second year after we won that first Super Bowl that we were elite, but we knew we needed

to beat the Giants. So everything was we ran through everybody trying to get through the to the Giants. That's how they should be looking at that. They should be like, man, we're gonna run through everybody. And I ain't saying the score gonna always be pretty, But what I am saying is we wanna be sending it halftime, like can you leave a plan like this? You know you can? You wow? Two interceptions? You know the penalties I love tackle. I'm serious.

You don't want to be saying that. And what you also want to see to me is you want to see those things get cleaned up. You want to see the penalties, yes, decrease. You want to see this thing that you've been looking at all your along, that you want to see continue to increase. Right, the third down conversion that has jumped up, so Dak Prescott's come back. You know you want to say I can't. I can't let me jes man, your hair looking good? Thank you, brother,

I mean, it looks so good. People's got a little oil and they got the shine. Like, is you sweating? Yeah, yeah, I gotta. I'm going to the barber when I'm done here. Okay, you're gonna be even sweet. You were talking about how they need to produce penalties, and I had to question there reminds me of question I had McCarthy talked the other day about how they worked on cadence because they're having so many pre snap penalties. To me, that seems so difficult because you know, Dak is trying to switch things up to keep the defense off guard and

that sort of thing. When it comes to that, does he have like five cadences that he's gonna use or is it every time out? There could be something different, or quarterbacks a slick d day. So how does it Lineman sap track of when you when you talk about cadence right, and you hear it in the game sometime, you know, Patrick mahomes White eighty why and so what you what ends up happening is you begin to understand

the rhythmic sound of your quarterbacks cadence right. So if it's on one, it's White eighty why eighty, you know, and you kind of figure out how that's gonna come. If it's on two, White eighty White eighties said, So you pick up that rhythmic sound and they usually quarterbacks usually keep it the same. It's it's if you may hold that White eighties said, or set So that part of the Rigman thing. That is what you have to kind of figure out and learn for a receiver. And

I learned this from Michael Irvin. It was the rigmant cadence is sound travels right. So for Nate, he is closer to the quarterback, so he kind of hears the hut quicker than I hear it. So when the quarterback goes said hut hut hu hu hu hut, by the time it gets out there to me, they've already been unmoving, right, So that's the part of just understanding your cadence and

your quarterback rhythmic tone that and he does it. So it's it's just getting back to that and and that sometimes when he's looking at the at the defense, they may start moving and he may hold that said a little bit longer now that the lineman is like, oh, so that can happen in that because he looking at oh, they're moving, I might want to go back easy, easy, easy, easy and change the protection or changed the play stuff

like that. So that seems so difficult. But the thing, the thing, and this is what it's hurting now us I think is it took me a long time. And you know, and I ain't shamed to say it's what we didn't do that here. We would say hard count on two, you know, and I knew that he was gonna in that second that first hut it was gonna be hard. Hut hut. Well when I got to the Carolina pound of hard too, was when they said on two it was gonna be hard, and they're gonna go

on three. I didn't pick that up. He would going up the line, said green thirty nine, Green thirty nine, and it's a hard too, He'll say, hut hut, huck. You know it was on It was really a hard too, whereas with us it was a hard to forget. It was the first hut like it was too. It was it was a hut hut. Yeah, but it was here when I was here, it was it was a hard too. It was on the first hut, not the second hut. But when I got to Carolina, the second hut was the heart and it was a third one, and I

jumped every time. The dude looked at me like, man, how did you make all these Pro Bowls? The hard count is like this, Nate, And he sat down and told me, and I never jumped again. So he may say I'm gonna do hard one, and no matter what else he does, once he hits that hard one, you know, the next one, the next yeah. Yeah, And that's that's what I was in Carolina. Yeah, you know. And see I'm telling you, I'm with you. Just some quarterbacks get so good and they demand that they office the line

pay attention. They don't play they you know, Trout would never get upset into the game, but if you probably demanded it more in practice, I would probably be would probably been better, but I'm telling me he would. Some quarterbacks walk to that line and just be talking green for the nine. They'd be looking green nine, like Jess saying, then all of a sudden, you go to easing up. Oh check check check check check. Now you start all over. But me when my dog seven them been like, okay,

I think they win easily if they if they're able to score consistently on offense, um, if they struggle a little bit, they're inconsistent on offense, and if they allow Indianapolis to get

their running game going, that could be. That could be one of those those where they left him get the idea that they can hang in there and actually win the game. That's true. I think if there's one position that Mica Parson has flawed at, actually play a linebacker, what really you don't have lost his No, No, I'm agreeing with you. Not lost.

This is that natural instinct. You know, I'm serious, you don't. Yeah, he has some instincts coming from that. Your your field of vision is so much different coming from linebackers, from an end to a linebacker. Your peripheral and everything that instinctively, you don't always keep that. You gotta play with that and keep playing with that. So you got chair play with that and keep playing with that. You gotta keep

it right right. But no from Michael Parson, I think and this is not please guys, I'm not taking a shout out of Michael Parson, but I'm just saying, when you think about playing these the one thing that these next three games will present is Jonathan Taylor Pierce AT's end. Yeah, three teams that are going to try to run the football. That's the only way that they'll be able to truly compete in is try to run the football. And we

saw when when when Michael Parsons went back to linebacker. Verse, Um, I'm trying to blank green Bay. That didn't bowl well for the Cowboys defensively, and so I don't. I don't think Micah Parsons should go back to that full time linebacker position to stop the run. I think he's become

more suitable as that rush defensive end. And if there's one, like I said, there's one position where he's he struggles as when he plays full time linebacker, it's a lot that he has to kind of get through, and those guys up front may not be as clean as they need to be. So guards and tackles are getting up on them, and centers are getting up on him. They duce blocking to him and all that kind of stuff. They get caught the traffic and the wave and all

that kind of stuff. So if dan Clue dan Quin learned anything from that Green Bay game, it was if I'm gonna play Mica at linebacker to quote unquote stop the run, then I need to mix it in and not let him be at linebacker all day long. Yeah, definitely. But it sounds like they'll have Anthony Barr back right right, and that's Damon Clark kid. It's kind of shown up, so it seemed like it against screen bay. They had to put him there. They just didn't have much depth

going on. So maybe they're at a point now or I agree they don't. You know, he's not the same guard when he's only a linebacker. So all right, Chris, who got on the phone. We got our boy Anthony in Miami. Anthony in Miami, what's up, play boy? What's up about? Dudes? I'm man, look at after he's just won, y'all gaein win. Defensive defensively, you know, hey, how about you turning back and look

for the ball? You know, like all those things. So discipline and then being accountable like no one you know and my my brother's keeper. That's the one thing about especially defensively in football. Offensively, one guy can do something wrong and you still have a ton of success. Defensively, one guy does something wrong and it's it's to the house. Yeah, it can be real bad. So you know, you gotta be accountable to your brothers and then consistently do it

from start to finish. The biggest problem that at that right there, doing it from start to finish. All right, Chris who we got on the phone. Let me show you what I can do. Is just such a team element that I think if if Jonathan Taylor was in his prime and Zeke was in his pro then maybe, But I think Zeke I do. I would think Zeke has mature to a point He's like I'm not my prime anymore, Like I'm really here to do what the team needs me to do and just be a team player, you know. Um. I think Tony Pollard is still trying to find his kind of like you know post like, hey, I'm here. You know I'm

one of the best backs in the league. And for Jonathan Taylor, I think a lot of for him is he knows that he's one of the best backs in the league. He's suffered from offensive lineman being not as good anymore and the quarterback play not being as good anymore. And injuries for him. But like when you when you're both in your prime, I think you kind of, you know, look across the field like what's up. But I mean

those are the problem. And you know what's so sad about the running back is nobody goes in the draft trying to protect you. Like the kid in Cincinnati, they like, we signed in lineman. We don't care what happened Saturday, whether they're good or not. We sat we're gonna help this kid, you know, k c kid, hold on eh, we just gave him on. God, we drafted somebody to help him. But the running back, who's great, Well, I gotta figure it out. To figure it out here, you know,
