The following is a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. Flowing out of the backfield ex floading down the sidelines. He's Hanging with the Boys, presented by Windstuff where flavor gets its wings. Now, your hosts Nate Newton, Kurt Daniels, Jesse Holley, and Shannon Gross live from the s WBC Mortgage living Room at Frisco, Texas. Y'all wanted it. All we've heard for the last six years is the predicted play calling. We know what's coming.

Guess what y'all got it now, y'all gotta live with it. We went for it on fourth down when you could have gone for the tie. How do you feel about it? Now? Cowboys fan? You wanted this. You gotta big dose of it last night? How do you feel to day? Nate knew how you feeling? You were wrong? Jesse, you were wrong, Kurt, you were wrong. I was wrong. They lost? They lost? You know what I figured out? Shannon? What know what I figured out? Each year you get closer to Mexico.

I mean it was last week we heard about tampling and I used get your reservations. Now, all of a sudden. You blay it everybody. It's just one game, Shannon. Get back on the ship, Baby, get back on the ship. Driving kept off of I haven't jumped yet, but I'm I'm yeah, I know you're close. I'm disappointed. Why should shading my phone? Well, I can see that text? Where did y'all see the TEXTI sunt yeah, okay, yeah yeah, Jesse? Wait, why are you so quiet? You might not working? What's

going on? I'm I'm football flashed. Stop stop that he's been sitting here for five minutes while we giveing bad to say that statement. You're gonna make a T shirt of that, Thank you, man. I am so I'm so disappointed. Um My enthusiasm from my boy Freaky Mike was so high, and we came out yesterday and we were flat, we were dull vanilla, We got big boyed, we we got we got little bro. We got bullied on both sides of the ball and especially in the interior line. And

it was something that I did not expect. And so I'm trying to stay positive. I'm going to stay positive and I'm going to say that this this game was a culmination of Week one slash preseason game three, because now they can go back and watch film today and tomorrow or whenever and have some realistic looks from someone other than themselves, you see, because what happens is when

those live bullets get flying. See. It ain't like practice where guys, you know, they run by you and tag you out, Oh I got you, or guys stop on the play or give up on the play, or you know, consequences don't truly matter. It's when you get those live bullets and things start really happening. When you when you got to you know, when it's not Antoine Woods across from you and it's the two time defensive player of the year, that's when to get a little bit different.

You know when it when it's when when the coverages are changing rapidly and swiftly and you haven't seen certain stuff, that's when it gets a little bit different. So I'm I'm gonna try to stay as positive as I possibly can.

But this was, this was this was disappointing. I'm not gonna argue with you today, Nate he Jesse And it to be a little more specific, you know, the reason you know I'm kind of smiling is because all those things are still in place that me, you and the rest of the guys have talked about leading up to this. UH lost last night. What was more disappointing, and I'm being a little more specific, was we went first now, first down, first down, and if we went into the

second or third downs, we failed. We failed miserably. We didn't control the clock. We talked about tempo all this off season, all the last we talked about tempo and to to see the Rams come in and we talked about he's a play action pass quarterback, this kid for the Rams, and he had this opportunity to offer the run.

I would have to boot out, to boot out to get his receivers going to UH and to see that right there, was kind of disappointed because now I'm looking at don Terry O Pole, I'm looking at Tyron Crawford, I'm looking at young Tristian Hill uh in the young Gallamar and said, wow, we deserve better. You have to. They could have changed the game because your outside guys were playing lightside. Your outside guys was was getting up field, getting penetration. The d Laws that the Alden Smiths, they were,

they were getting up field. Ever, some grant uh Griffin had a play in the backfield, so that was disappointed. And then switching over to the office line, our centers and guards and players, whether as they should have young Terren is still a game day decision. Boom, he's in there, he's handing his own but once again we go first down first. Now, all of a sudden, Aaron Donald's show up, All of a sudden, Michael Broncos show up, And that

was our inside guys, you know, getting penetration. You know, we saw a lot of times, but we think Dak was clear. But they go back and show a replay. Here's Aaron Donald's hit him in the chest. Here's Aaron Donald's waving his hand in his face. Here's Bronco's coming off getting to lay hit. Those things can be very irritating to a quarterback that can't get back and sentence.

We didn't have any long plays except the one late in the game where the illegal interference call that they called there late in the game, so we didn't establish a rhythm there. It's just been a little more spartecar. I'm just laughing at your jest because you know you thought, just because you talked to Mike McCarthy six months ago, on the little conference called you and Him boys, You and freaking Michael boys. A lot of questions. I got a lot of questions. What are you? What do you

want to tackle? First? The lines, the plate calling, the decision, what what? What direction we're going here? Don't you all jump out at once? Good lord? I mean Mexico almost cussed on the show. I thought Kurt was taken over the host and dude, he's where do you? Where do you want to go? You go where you want to go?

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, No, let's go. One question I have is the Cowboys came in with sort they had supposed to have this Monton defensive line, and it seemed like the Rams and a lot of ways were able to negate that with those quick short passes. You know, a red ware. Seventy percent of golf's passing yards actually came after the catch, whereas you know, Dak. It didn't seem like the Cowboys tried to negate. They knew the Rams are gonna have a tough patch Friish, they knew

Aaron don what's gonna be tough. It didn't seem like they tried to overcome that or scheme it to get out of that quite like the Rams did. Is that? Did you guys see that? Or I'll go first, Yeah, I go first, Jesse. As you as you saw the game, you saw how quickly they was using Woods with the quick outside screens screens and look quick ghosts whatever they call them screens, and they got them involved real quick.

They negated the pass rushed there early in the game, but which I thought the Cowboys are gonna do and the other way they did that. It's about running, uh, Malcolm Brown just straight up into the middle of your line and that that negated that pass rush for the Dallas Cowboys. And like I say, well we didn't stop that, and they getting out quick to cut into into Robert Woods. I mean five yard out, five yard out, quick off the line, go go stepping back. They did a lot

of multiple things. But as the game processed on, as they went to matriculating them seventy five yards when I opened and drive, you started seeing more and more that run up the middle, and that keeps everybody at home. That makes everybody has to play on this. It's Jess, you want to elaborate on that. I think for the Cowboys, um offensively, the thing that they did not do was

we were. We were sitting ducks. You know, I saw stat that fourteen percent of the National Football League, Uh, most of the teams use fourteen percent of motion, some sort of motion or shift in their games. The Cowboys four percent of the time. So we were just sitting ducks. We didn't shift, we didn't use much motion. We didn't give a lot of change or direction. If you saw what the Rams did early on on their side of the ball offensively, they booted, they they they got they

got golf out of the pocket. They they missdirection. They got us on our heels. And when you when you have a lot of those boots and mixed directions, what that does is that it makes that pass for us have to hesitate for just a second just to see which direction you're going, and then it has to be your changing direction. It goes from vision to mind, from mind to body, defeat to move, and that's just enough time that you need as a quarterback to get an edge or a blocker to get an edge on someone

else and for that route to develop. For the Cowboys, for the most part, we just lined up and went straight ahead and there was no misdirection. There were there weren't anything that was getting those guys off their kilter a little bit. And when you have when you have a prolific player like Aaron Donald, Leonard Floyd and Brockers and such, you have to do. You cannot just think you're gonna just bowl up. This dude was a two

time defensive player of the year. You don't become the two time defensive player of the year by magic, by by by happenstance. You gotta do something to get this guy off off his off his off his game. You can't just allow this guy that to continue to keep coming forward at you. And I think that was the

kind of the difference between the two. You saw one team use you know, use misdirection, use bunch formation, use burst formation, use orbit motions, a lot of different things to dictate what the defense was in for them to show their hand earlier than they wanted to, but also not allow those guys who wanted to rush up the field for the quarterback to just come up the field.

They use it in many different ways. And again, if it can make you, if it can make you hesitate for just a second, you you will now allow your blockers to gain an advantage on them. We didn't do much of that. We try to just line up and go forward, and we weren't good enough in that bottle to do so. Jesse, Jessee, Isn't it the same? This is the same thing we've been We've been talking about for the last two to three act like, when't your guy, when your guy freakye, Mike's supposed to fix all this?

When't we seeing all this crazy stuff in training camp, all this misdirection and overloaded formations and all what happened? What happened? I think it will happen. Uh. I have no I have no answers why they didn't have a lot of motion. As you saw a lot of teams yesterday. As you watch games all day, you know, continue that motion.

You see it in the league now. Everybody's banking on the fact that if you get enough motion, especially early in the game, that you can get somebody to blow coverage other line up room and get your advantage and maybe hit you a big play or a touchdown. I don't know why the Cowboys didn't indulge in that, but I tell it right here. They could emotion all they wanted, but them them three guys in the middle of our offense and the three guys in the middle of our defense.

You know, you can motion all you want, uh, Them guys ain't going away. Them guys got got to play better than be strong. They have to. And thank god, Aaron Donald's ain't there for two places right now. He's in for two places. He's in with the Los Angeles Rams and he's in matt So that's the only two players how to work about it. Now you can see him in the playoffs. You know, maybe later, but now

y'all heard him face teams strong up the middle. I mean it's gonna be a problem for the Cowboys all year, Yes sir, yes, sir, because Philadelphia got a horse and Washington got two up. Well, I'm timing up in the middle, but I'm tuming up in the middle. See because I believe this right here, Jesse, and I believe this, Kurt, that if these three guys in the middle of have I always preached it. My job is twofold. It is when I'm pass blocking, is to make sure this guy

don't get a quick escape for penetration. And if I can push him out just a little bit, it widens it out and he gives my tackle as a chance to dance and to run these guys around so my quarterback can step up into lanes. That's what that was not able to do a step up into lanes and get into that second and third read and really look at it. So when you can't do that right there, do the fact have Aaron Donald Brockers coming up the middle of the way they were, you know, and leaking

off and hitting your quarterback. There's no chance take our first break, fellas, maybe, so take our first break when we come back. Kurt's got more questions and we're going to figure out how do we fix this thing and what what went right? Did did anything go right? Or are we excited about anything? Okay out, yes, sir? You know what, man, what go ahead on? I'm sorry, Shannon, I'm sorry, go ahead on. You was rolling though you was rolling. Go ahead on, Shannon, you

were rolling, go ahead on. I'm done. I'm done, I'm done going. Hey, I no, I'm just saying. Uh. While I was off our, Chris, being my producer, intelligent guy putting these shows together, said, uh, man, Shannon got me. He said, yeah, he's he ain't abandoned ship yet, but he got on like two life jackets. So I tell you, I tell you that one game. Come on, man, it's but it's the same thing we've been this. It's the same thing as last year. Like you come out flat,

you start flat. You you know this team, you know who you're up against. You know what they're gonna do. You know that Michael Brockers, you know that Aaron Donald are going to dominate the offensive line. One thing I will say is they they actually help what's that young guy's name, steal that Aaron Steel? He played Okay, they gave him some help, which is something you wouldn't have

seen last year or two years ago. So hey, that was a positive but you finally, it took you a whole half to start to figure this team out, and you knew what this team was about. They didn't have any information on what you were doing. We haven't been able to show any of these clips on social media because we've got this is our only then we come out. But then we come out and gets the rut of it. We know who we're playing, We have the book on

who we're playing. They don't have the book on us, and we look we look like we did last year. Look I'm not I'm not jumping ships. I'm just I guess out. My expectations were way too high for this season, and I really thought I was going to see something that I was going to step back and go, Wow, this is different. And I really nothing jumped out to me in this game other than you look like you might have some ballhawks on this team. Looks like turnovers

maybe a thing this year. But other than that, it took you a half to get to get going, and once you got it going, it was too late and you couldn't catch back up. So I guess I'm just disappointed, and I was probably expecting too much. The loss, the loss, the loss, the loss. What we have been hoping is that we can jump out with a win and to get off on the right foot. But it's only one loss. And I would like to see the jestments that coach

make offensively, defensively and and and everything. I'm gonna talk about in the next few days, you know. And too bad we can't have the fans or Mitch Gross your mother come on and talk about it. Is The truly disappointing thing for me is the way I interior of both lines played, and I was selling you guys off. Aaron Jess can speak to it about it because he had the fourteen percent breakdown of the motions of the

other teams, and we don't own it four percent. But what's so funny is if you go back and watch the film, it's like Layton Vaneresh and the young Jalen Heads were spinning. You know, they didn't know where these guys are going and they were a step behind. And uh, it's just too bad because you know you want big things, but it's only one game. And I so as I slept on it last and I cast you myself, I could see Jesse sitting there thinking of a big word to use the blow us away. I could see Kurt

with a thousand questions, you know what I'm saying. I can see you Shannon already to switch your ticket, you know, to Mexico. But it's okay. I'll ride this thing out. I ride this thing out. Jesse, those bad words anymore. I think there was. I think there were some encouraging things. I guess I am just you know, I think we all are like, you know, we got some new some new talent, We've got a new you know, a new coaching staff. We're gonna go We're gonna go blow some

people out of the water, a new attitude. Baby. And I know we started off and I listened. I it's like you said, it's one game. I think they're so positive to take away from this game. I was just I was hoping that this thing looked completely different, and so far it doesn't look completely different. So, Jesse, you've been really quiet on this show. Are you that he's thinking of another crazy word? No, I'm listening. I'm listening to Uh, to Nate, I'm listening to you. I'm listening

to Kurt. I've been listening to the fans all last night. Um, you know, and I know it's a long season, but this is this is the this is the feeling that I have. You ever tell someone about how great a restaurant is, or how great a movie is, or how great a u a food is or something like that, and then they go and the experience is terrible and then you don't have anything to say, like, you know, it's just like or or they go and they find hair or bugs in their food and you're like, white,

what that happened? And so as much as I've been pumping up Freaky Mike since since before January, and I've been the you know, the president of the Freaky Mike fan Club, it came out last night that it was. It was. And I still think there's hope. I do still think there's hope, but it was it looked a lot like it looked it looked a lot like ten years ago, like it looked like the last ten years.

And and that's frustrating. And that's so disappointing because you know, Mike McCarthy talked about, you know, the analytics part of things and how he was going to be more analytical and do more things like that, and and we saw none of that. We saw none of that. And the

thing that disappointed me the very most. The two things that disappointed me the very most the lack of just creativity, like the lack of creativity when you have that many weapons, you have far too many weapons, far too many weapons to be vanilla. I'm sorry. You gotta be you. You gotta be Sherbert swirled, Neapolitan. You gotta be something else. You gotta be a mixture of all these roles. Can't

be vanilla butter pecan. You gotta be Rocky roll. You gotta be what, what's the what's the you know, the turtle, whatever that is. You gotta be all. You can't just be vanilla. And then the lack of physicalness that we played with, I mean that was mind boggling. Where they were just moving us and pushing us around like we were like we were the little brothers. And that, that, to me, was was was shocking. I did not think coming into this game that we would be bullied. We

were bullied. We need we should we should go down to the NFL office and fall a complaint because bullying is totally unacceptable. There should be a Bullying is totally unacceptable. And the Los Angeles Rams they little brought us, They little brought us and bullied us around for four freaking quarters. You know what I hear, For the first time in a year that we've been doing this show together, I hear, Jesse is hurt. This is personal, Like, yes, it is.

This is personal for me. This is personal for me, and and and you know, and and I and I to Tony's point earlier, we have to say this, you know. And I said last week that Dak has come into this great leadership role for this football team. And that's great.

That's great. You can say the right things, you can do the right things in the locker room, you can do the right things on the offseason, and you can have all the great interviews, and you can have social awareness and mental awareness and that all of that is fantastic. It is. But at the end of the day, at the end of the day, you have to be spectacular on Sunday. You have to be better than the best on Sunday. You have to be game changing on Sunday.

You have to be setting yourself apart on Sunday when all else around you was going wrong. If you want to be in the conversation with those breezes and Rogers and Wilson's and you and Mahomes and you want to get paid in that category. These is those type of games where you're within one score that you have to

say I got it. When you're within that closive range, there should be a level of when Aaron Rodgers gets the ball and they're down six, they're down four, they're down seven, and there's forty five seconds left, those that are fans of the Packers and those that are folds of the Packers, they fear that man. They fear that he's gonna take this ball and live in the field and get a touchdown. The same thing for Tom Brady,

the same thing for Drew Brees. I don't know if we there's hope, there's this level of man, I hope that comes to on this one. But when Aaron Rodgers has it, there's more of a belief. There's a belief that he's gonna get it done, opposed to a hope that he can get it done. And I think that's what we I didn't believe last night on that last drive that Dak was going to take us down the field and score, or to put us in the field

goal range. I didn't. I did not. I did not sit back in on my couch and go here you go, let's go. We've seen this show before. When Aaron Rodgers under the under center and that situation happens, you believe that this is you know what, He's about to score. This team is about to get a field goal range, and we're about to get more football. Tom Brady, Drew Brees,

those kind of quarterbacks, Russell Wilson. It's in those moments when you have the opportunity to set yourself apart to make the one or two players that need to be made. And I'm not putting all this on Dak Prescott, but I'm saying to be in that elite category, you have to overcome everything else. Bad play, bad coaching, especially when you've been put you when you've been putting the position to go and do that, you gotta do it. Sounds like the worries about the coaching, you think that could

maybe be fixed. But I'm hearing a lot of talk about players not being good enough and that could be a long term problem for the season. Well, the thing is, and I'm not gonna speak on Dak right now, but I am gonna speak on guys that have done this before, done Terry Opole, that is unaccepted. Tyrone Crawford, I give you a game or two to get yourself back going. We got Trisian Hill who got in and gave great effort, but we need more than that. We neique execution and plays.

If the middle of your defense is not playing, even on the on the other line side of the line of screaming, your linebackers don't stand a chance your safety when you bring him in the boxet. You know what I'm saying, Darren Thompson, did he play? Yeah? I had ten tackles. Yeah, okay, we're at twenty yards down. Yeah,

well how much? How much? How much did the and I don't know, I'm asking as wanting to ask a player or whatever, but the interior defensive line, how much were they affected by losing vander esh I don't know, because, like Jesse said, and I'm telling you man, if you we didn't they came out and said, you know, hey, fellas, we got Malcolm Brown, number thirty four, what was his number? Malcolm Brown. We're gonna run him straight slam into the middle of y'all. Then we're gonna then we ain't gonna

try to change your pace. We're gonna go get cam Acres, line him up and run him slapped down the middle of y'all. That right there, that's a player problem. I told you guys this last week. Yeah, just because we changed just because we changed coaches, the Rams remember what they did to us in the playoffs a few years ago, and they and they and they came back to say, wait a second, A lot of the guys that they had then they got, Now, yeah, some changes here and there,

but I'm gonna check. I'm gonna check and seed due to them what we did to them before and they did. I mean, my goodness, Uh you know, Jalen Smith, I mean you moved over to a position where you're now the free flowing, running, attack, running hit guy. The there is no excuses for Jalen Smith. And he is not what we saw it not there dame, his ability to

change directions, his ability to fight all blocks. I kind of see why he took that first money that they threw at him a couple of years ago, because maybe he knew something that that we're now finding out that he just may not be as good as we think he is. And it's showing, you know, Layton vander Esh. I know it was the collar bone, but it's still in that neck area. You know. We keep getting told that, you know, these guys are gonna be all right, even

though they have suffered injuries their entire career. You're the belief that a guy for the most part, and there's some exception to the rule, but the belief that a guy who has suffered a lot of different injuries his entire career is all of a sudden going to come to the league, this league where it's it's ten times bigger, stronger fashion than where you come from, and all of a sudden not be injury prone. I find out hard to believe. And we're seeing it again. We same thing

we took. We took a chance on Sean Lee. Ladies and gentlemen, it's that time again for tailgating with the outer box boys. Same thing with Jaylen Smith, same thing with Layton Vanderesh. And now we're getting ready to pay the price for it because we we we we kind of mortgaged our middle defensive future on Layton Vanderesh and Jaylen Smith. And Layton will be out for six to eight weeks and now Jaylen Smith, who just hasn't lived up to the hype, will be out there trying to

chase guys down and it doesn't look good. We'll cover guys. It looks like most of their yardage was actually picked up going around the right end, going at DeMarcus Lawrence, and he didn't have any pressures. He had one tackle. I mean, this is this is supposed to be your lead dog on that line, and seems like they more or less negated him. What did you think of his play on there? I mean we're talking about the interior line,

but I don't know if that ended much better. I'd say, lays right here if you want to say this right and he's being kind of selfish in me, I just found it hard to believe. Like I said, I didn't react, but when I went to bed last night, Fellas, I'm thinking about things, and I said this in my heart and Jesse has said it for a lot of times. How a guy played in five years be the leader of your team in one game and all the Smith I went to bed and they all man, I thought

about that. I'm like, this dude got a sack. He made some other hits behind the line, of scrimmage tackles eleven. I said, this dude ain't played in five years. That That is what I find hard to believe is that here we have some guys that should be playing at a higher level and this is one game. And like I said, I don't want them. I don't. You know, I ain't gonna let Shannon, you know, free fall me fifty thousand feet about a plane. I'm not gonna do that,

you know. But I find it hard to believe that you didn't have the proper energy and the will and the gumption to big I'm with you, just to big boy, if you want to run at me, if you want to run if I'm Donetario Pole and I'm Tyrone Crawford and I'm saying, okay, you ain't you want to run at me. It ain't happening. You cannot move me. You may run around me outside of me, but right here you ain't coming. And they punished us. Bro. Look at go and look at the seventy five yards opening drive.

Go look at it that way. Layton heard his show that because he was one on one and I told you, guys, I say, I want to see Layton bring it downhill one on one with a back that ain't caring about it, and he had that same thing on right before the touchdown. He went in there and threw his shoulder and Brown put it rat on his shoulder. And shortly after, let's take our last break. And when we come back, were there any positives and our very old Kurt Daniels strikes again,

Yes he does. Ladies and gentlemen, It's that time again for tailgating with the Auterbox boys. Autterbox the company that builds wildly overproductive phone cases, the one and only, but cases are just the start. Auterbox is the official outfit are of tailgating. If they can keep my phone safe,

dooming cheering up to Jesse. Need to bring him some cookies and some cake and some flowers and some balloons. All right, let's get spilled on. Speaking of cookies and flowers and balloons. Yes, happy birthday, Mama, Holly. Today's Holly Happy Yesterday. Yesterday was my big brother's birthday. Today is my mom's birthday. So mom, man, Wow, Wow your middle son, your favorite son, the one who takes care of you. Wow, patches something on the back. Jesse Happy started out about mom,

and I turned out to be about you. Happy birthday, Mom. I love you. I've been happy birthday, miss Holly. Wow. All right, well, well after that that uplifting, cheerful news, we can only get into Kurt Daniels. How do you feel about yourself? I know he finally did you finally did him in. You've been hitting around round with it for no, no, no, no, no. The man the point, The man is snake bit. He gets Jason Whitton out of here. He finally get us to start. He's the

breakout season and he goes down in the game. Blake Jarwin out for on a non contact route. Yeah, a season. How do you feel? Curtains crowd film off for man. I wanted a big year out of him. I'm really looking forward to seeing him play. Had a nice catch early on. I mean, this could be a huge blow for the Cowboys, I think because you know, when you got Dalton Schultz who dropped two yeah, I dropped yeah,

and you know bil Dozer Dozer. I think they were really planning on using you know, Blake up at the middle and those. You know, it's just disappointing. I feel bad he's out. Why man, why why are you smiling? If? Yeah? Carl so bad? Hey, I tell you right here, man. Uh, you know, I like how Ceedee Lamb competed. I like how Michael Gallup competed, Like how Amari late in the game was trying to get heels. Uh. You know, Zeke, I mean I hate to say this, you know, you know,

mute Kurt Danis. I hate Zeke was doing this thing. We saw, we saw a touch of Tony Poller. I mean, I like how that, how that played out, and uh and so along with a little added emotion for Jesse, you know, just get him, get him, get him horny again, you know a little bit of motion. Uh. I just it's just one game, man. And they as bad as they I felt, they played interiorly on both sides of the defense around the word is consistentent. We talked about it Friday, and I talked about it on all my

shows that I was a part. The word is consist to see, can you get a rhythm and be consistent enough offensively so you can come up with twenty five or more points per game. You you're gonna have to do that, and then our defense can play timely situational ball and we can come up with some wins here. It's just kind of I was just kind of real hype when I saw Feeling falls to Washington and then all of a sudden we fall to to to the round. I'm like, wow, I mean, so now Washington leads the

division and god bid the Giants win. The ninety of this thing gonna be upside down. I'm starting out again. I'm telling you, tell you what I know. I agree with you n on consistency. We got to have more of that. Yeah, man, we ain't consistent. We don't have a rhythm yet. You got to have more consistently and just don't look more consistent like the way we used to look. Yeah, you see, Jesse, hey shut up and see I've noticed Jesse put you know. You know what

I say? Man, though that Mickey Mouse jump lips on his hat, show us on your hat Man, that Mickey Mouse offense. Yeah, I see it. I think we got so much more to give Shannon, I do it. I'm with you, Nate. I like it all the things that you said. I like digs. I think digs digs looks. I like the potential there. Cheetos showed that he can catch a ball if it hits him in the chest, So I like that. I like I like CD in

the return game. I think I saw a stat where his twenty yard pump return in his first game was five more yards in their longest pump return all of last season. So I think he got some potential there. Um. You know, I just think they they gotta like like you guys said, they gotta they gotta execute, they gotta get consistent. They can't get pushed around in the middle. It's time to play big boy ball. I think you

got the tools. I think you saw where, Hey, everybody can contribute on offense, everybody, you know, everybody has the potential. And then I think the defense, you know, the front, the front line has to get it together. I like the look. I like the way the back. And let me ask you that we know Aaron Donald's a beast, so we know that offensive interior was going to have a hard time. But what was is the Rams offensive a terror that good that our defensive line should have

struggled like that? They just with them. It was that it was the scheme in which the Rams would about it. They they didn't spend much time with having Jared Goff sit in the pocket and let our rush get after him. They moved They moved him a lot. They did a lot of play action in misdirection. And again, play action misdirection. What that does to a defensive front, It just freezes you for a second. And Nate, you can follow up

on this. But as a as an offensive lineman, if I get you, if I get you leaning to one side and I know that we're coming back the other way. When you come back, I'm sitting right on top of you. Now, now you gotta fight over top of me. And by that time my quarterback the ball is out. A lot of their early routes, I think, I think I think golf only had maybe one or two plays that went longer than twelve yards. Yeah, everything was they were nickel and diamonds all the way down the field. On the

misdirection boom boo, boo boo boo. Before you know it was adding up five here, eight here, ten here, nine here seven here, and before you know, you look up and they're scoring touchdowns. So the biggest thing for for us it wasn't that they did something as far as you know, man handle us. They got us moving in directions and we were out of position. We were out of position, and we didn't they Jared Golf wasn't a statue. But we can just tee off on him. They moved him.

They got some as play, accstion passes, all of that stuff. Just it freezes that defensive front just a little bit. All right, fellas, we got one minute left. It's Monday, it's we lost. The Cowboys lost yesterday. I want to leave this show on a positive note. Let's go around the horn. Everybody give us one positive thing that we can leave the fans with today. I'll start it. You got fifteen more games. Everything can happen. Kurt. I like

the rookies. I like that even still, I thought and held his own considering where he's come from, and Lamb and Diggs act that could be the real deal. Nate consistency, Jesse. This team has an opportunity to watch film and get better. You gotta you cannot watch this film and not be critical and make changes. So I think changes will be coming off this film, and change LA will pay for it. Changes, changes in consistency. All right, fellas, it was fun. Tomorrow

we'll talk about it some more. Then Wednesday. At Thursday we'll get ready for the Falcons, and then we'll have Freaky Friday. I don't know what's gonna happen there, but we're gonna have it. So enjoyed it. Thank you, good hanging out with you, Chris Bean. Thanks for keeping Should I be watching the newspaper? Should I be watching the newspaper for for you and Jesse? Because y'all got me worried? Oh no, I'm good, my brother, this game they don't

get me down. Football fast last baby, stop stop, all right, thanks for tuning in. We will be back tomorrow, same time, same place. On Hanging with the Boys flat. This has been a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club
