Man, but when you when you look back, this is easily besides the Giants. And I don't count the Giants as a real game. That was a fantasy game. It almost wrecked our season as we thought it was so good to different crushness.

Do you do you do you think that this defense played its best or will you think this would be more of what to come? Or you think it's all downhill here? Oh? I don't think it's downhill I think hopefully they'll get better, hopefully they'll keep improving. But I think this is who they are. I mean, when if they're healthy, they got all their parts out there on

the field. I think we're in for a good ride with these guys because I keep thinking, I'm like they except for and that deal with Hell, I don't even count except for that coming out in the half and they had that drive and scored. They handed it to them. And I'm saying to myself, is this who they are? Can? Can can they improve on what they did to this team? To Kansas City Chiefs? Are U was that just like

Denver when Denver played us? Right? That just Denver having are the offense having did that again, and so that just put me a just gave me a big dilemma. You know, I said, let me ask the guys this tomorrow. You know, I'm not one hundred percent. I think the offense is what it is. This is a good this is a top five offensive league. The defense give me one more game. Like I I think they're better than where they were, right, I think they probably outplayed themselves

this last game. But if you go on the road, because defense, the defense travels what I'm trying, defense travels. You go to Atlanta, even though they're really clicking and they're a little hurt, but if you go on the road, that place is gonna be hostile. Man, it's gonna be loud. If you go on the road four and for right, they need to win, they need to win, and backs against the wall and you play up, You play even decent there, you play a solid game. I think this

defense is. And what made me ask that question was, I'm looking at Atlanta. They jumped ten old on Carolina and kinkling them, went to shutting them down, punishing, and they overcame. Two turnovers early in the game by Stewart. He had two fumbles for the Panthers. And so I'm saying to myself, when I see the Caroline of Panthers every year, that's their bread and butter, regardless of even when they even when their defense isn't good, it's good, right.

And so I'm saying to myself, Cam played one of his most complete games because he went back to the old Cam. I mean, he was throwing it, he was running it. The kid McCaffrey more than held his own because Stuart twice so they started trusting in the Rookula and he more than held his own. Now, I didn't get to finished watching the game, but I'm saying to myself, we played that style of game against case that I see Panthers play every week. And I'm saying, man, is

this us for real? What do you what do you think? You know? What? A lot of you want to say, as a lot of factors go into that, But I'm quite sure the Casey came in here ready to show people we you know, we're back and at least offensively. And it didn't happen, man, except for two plays. You take away those two plays, you know, and I'm not a big if this and that you know, you know that out one hundred and fifty yards. Oh it was

a seventy three. I ain't that guy, but you take away those two plays and and we gave it to him. They handed them there behind bro yep and uh. And I'm saying to myself, do we realize our defense went from against the forty nine ers shaky against the red Skins still shaky even though we won, to shedding out a good shedding out a good A good offense, I mean, more than better than average offense. Yeah, that's why I'm saying,

give me, give me one more game. You know, the offense they started looking good against Green Bay and then they went to saying France, so what it's saying Fran Then you played Washington and I'm like, okay, we'll know what this offense is. Against Kansas City, that's a pretty decent defense. I think, now you know what they are. Give me one give me one more for this defense. And then I'm buying in. Yeah, I'm canceling, Mexico. What's you mean? Don't don't do that. But me, I enjoy

good football. You know, nothing pleases me more when I see a good battle, nothing, you know, and nothing pleases me more. I mean I'm fifty five, so he's getting to that point so soon if you six. So when you see a good solid football game in today's fantasy league, college you see college foot I mean it's it's hard pressed to see a good college game that's around thirty points unless where everybody's physical, hitting, making plays, you know,

And uh, that's what that was. I mean our defense told literally told him, you know what you gotta You gotta nine to ten yard drive, and you scored seven. Let's see you do it again. Let's see you. Let's see you do it because we ain't giving him the big play. So let's see you be methodical, Let's see you execute, Let's see you not make a mistake. Do it again. And they couldn't. Let us down on that one place. But I've been watching this dude. He's talking stuff about the fans and Bandwagon fans now, so that means he's buying in. He's getting a guy hyped, talking about like we're going somewhere. So don't jump on it now, you know what I'm saying. Man,

that's what I'm talking about. I'm loving that because about see something that's got a whole ze. Man, They've got a premier Channis called Stephen A. Smith. Uh, how do you think he's a captain this year for the

first time? How do you think he's doing with these young guys. I don't I don't get that close, you know, I don't get that close. Uh. I just just as long as you don't take the fire of them, you know, and uh so and the carne thing. The coach is gonna let him do that. So captains are who they are, man. And it comes a point where you you know, Sean Lee is the is vocal and more important. He plays weekend and week out. You know where he you know where you can find him in the film room, on

the football field, to in the weight room. Tell you a story about Sean Lee. I was up here one I think it was a I want to say a Friday afternoon, and had some had some people in town. Was kind of showing them around the Star. Everybody's gone, you know, Friday night. It's like roaches when the lights come on. Gone And I'm walking around and nobody's here.

And walked by one of the room, one of the team many rooms and I and I started to walk in and I noticed that something's up on the video board, Shawn Lee and there by himself with the lights out, watching film on a late one Friday afternoon. I was like, dude, only got in the building crazy. And then and then to talk about Scandrick. He that's how he's doing with the young guys. Um I can't remember what game it was after, but we were flying back and he was

talking to h might have been Nick. It was somebody sitting in the seat behind me. And he supports these young guys like he wants to see him on the field. He I think he's he's taking kind of a mentor role to where he's kind of looking at it as like it's kind of his job to help them, almost take his job, like he wants them to be better. So,

you know. And then Kurt, you've been you've been talking about Sean Lee and how they've played, you know together, best games they put together is when Sewn Lee's on the field and he's healthy with the David Irving, with a Jalen Smith and with an Anthony Hitchins, which by the way, might be on our show tomorrow, Anthony Richards. I'll tell you what man Old sayin is you free, you free your mind and something to father, you know, And and I can't I don't want to cuss, so

but you can cuss it is. We won't tell anybody. This dude just makes it where and Ken Nort used to be the same way. Ken Nort used to be reading them formations, you know, I leve leve ball right bout and here you just start naming off plays. You know the percentages of what can happen in man when you can free your mind. And that that a follow, bro, I mean, and that means you can run. And like I tell people, I say, when you got a front four that's playing the way this front four has been playing last three or four games, Sean leif coming down hill right, that's ugly when you when you when you don't have to go book one or two steps to your left for right, or maybe you just take one shuffle step to your right and you go straight on an angle to where you got to be. That that right there, man that puts him a split second even faster. The only guy that's probably faster to

the ball. And I watched him, watched him last night, I watched him this morning. Is Luke Kinkley. Oh Jesus man, I'm tell him. When he came out of Boston College, I kept up with this dude, and I wanted us to get him so bad because when you got a guy that moves like him and Sean Lee move, I mean, no wasted steps, you know, and they know where they're

going and they take it. But this is the one thing I don't like for young people to see about Sean Lee is they'll see him with Shan Lee, what made you come off this receiving going to another well, he'll tell him and all of a sudden they think that's them that ain't you? Right? You can't take a calculated risk like Sean Lee because he is that guy that when you flip on them, when you flip on the lights, trying to go in there and see if it's an extra jock hanging out like he did. It's

not what I was doing. Not what I was doing. I was being a good a good guess. Anyway, he's there. Yeah, I mean, let me ask you, let me ask you this about Sean Lee. Curtis. We know you're on the phone. you what play. He can give you a high percentage. John Lee's that guy on the defense right, he can give a high percentage of how much does that help the young guys When he can say, give some kind of signal whether it's gonna be a run or he's like I said, he'll say, you know, like I write. And that's when that's when Zeke has got a fullback in front of him. He's behind the fullback, I right, tight end to the right side, and you know, maybe

you've got somebody emotion. He got emotion motion slot man motion motion off to you, to you to your left. Then he'll start, uh, watch watch the draw, watch this and watch that, watch the screen, watch the role back, watch the jets. He'll give you two or three plays every every snap to be to be weary of, you know, and as as much as you wanted to believe how hard it was with all these multiple formations with Andy

and the Reids. Give you Sean Lee looking at said, Okay, when they're in this formation, this is how many times they've given it the track Kelsey, and then in this formation, this is how many times they've given it to Hunt. He's putting it in his mind like coach can talk whatever he wants I'm gonna read my keys because it's three guys getting the ball right see. And and that was simple for him because it was simple for me. But to a young guy, you oh, the guards going

over here. Now you take off running over here. But there it's like another guard going back, you know. And then if you to stay over that first guard you ran over. Hunt. Yeah, with the ball.
