The following is a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. Blowing out of the backfield, flowing down the sidelines. He's hanging with the Boys, presented by Windstuff where Flavor gets its wings. Now your hosts Nate Newton, Kurt Daniels, Jesse Holly, and Shannon Gross. Taco Tuesday, did you see your boy Taco? CHARLTI get a strip sack last night, rip sack Tuesday night. Okay, one talk child got last night a strip saying I don't know
what's going on with our audio computer. Eighty five different times? It right? Professional, professional? But some days some days? Is me? Chris? Be right? Are we just ran game today? It was just a right game. And after all that, Chris said he's got to reset. Jesse's live you because, oh man, I don't know what's going on anyway, how you guys do Welcome to Welcome to the s WBC Mortgage living room here in Frisco, Texas. There we go, let's reset. Oh okay, Kurt, how are you are you good today?
Good Man? I'm doing fine, doing fine. How are you? I'm great? Nate you there, I'm good man. I'm good. Watched you great games last night. I have some good football, Jesse. We had yeah, okay, okay, we can hear you. We can hear you, but I don't think that anybody else can. So Chris is resetting you. So let's let's yeah, man, this is a disaster. Taco tart has a strip sack. You know it's gonna be a crazy day the next day of work. Oh, fellas, let's while we wait on Jesse.
What'd you have for dinner last night? Nate? Oh, man, steak, Man, like a che bone steak and you know, salad and fry. Yeah. Man, my wife, you know she cook a couple of steaks other day. You know we hit it had the chee bone and you know, you know part of that. Man, And you m oh, good at me, Shanna, maybe working man the run game. I'm gonna stop the run game. Leave that. I'm stop a Kurt. You're good. What do
you have for dinner? I'm good? What did I? I had some some pasta actually a little afraid of sauce pastas. Pretty nice, pretty nice. I didn't I didn't dive into the two football games last night. I was kind of flipping around back and forth. With the baseball playoffs, So I didn't I need to get caught up on the taco Charlton plays highlights. Mmm mmmmmm, Nate, what what is it? What is it that a guy can cannot be? I see wing stop there, Nate, that's a nice looking poster.
That's a nice looking poster. What is it where a guy appreciated? A guy can not fit into a couple of a couple of teams or the schemes or whatever, and then can go somewhere else and find success. Is there is there a rhyme reason into it? Or did some guys just fit better with certain cultures? Okay? What it is a lot of times sometimes guys have to mature and then some guys have to have to see
how true professionals run their locker room. How they're not They're not worried about how they dress and how they look. They're worried about can you make a sack and make a play. That's the culture of the locker room. The coaches will tell you what they expect, the players know what they expect from you, and you come in and you do your job. Sometimes it's maturity on a player, But a lot of times that is the culture of
your locker room. You gotta remember, just three years ago, everybody was talking about how bad the Kansas City Chiefs defense was. But the last few years they're one of the best situational defenses in the league. And they get they play tight ball now. So Taco know his job. He know that he gonna If Kansas sending let Taco go, he won't play again because they've been brother, you went where you you If you failed, it has to be on you. So that fellas, I would like to love
you on that. Nate, go ahead and welcome, Welcome back to the show, Jesse Holley, Ladies and gentlemen, Jesse Hall back on the show. Go ahead, Jesse. He finally we finally got him off the porch. Yeah, got me off the porch. And Nate, I second, I second what you say, Nate, And I applied that same logic to one Earl Thomas.
When you go to an organization and a culture like the Baltimore Ravens, who had for at least for the last ten twelve years, has been renowned and known for their culture, for their presence, for their defense, for everything good to come out of that organization from leadership on down to the locker room and when they let you go, when they cut you and eat the money and just say, you know what, We're gonna eat whatever money we owe you.
But you can't be in this culture. That right there is a telltale signed to a bunch of teams in the league. If you can't make it there in that culture and that defense, with that type of leadership, maybe maybe we shouldn't touch you. Maybe maybe. And this is why you don't see Earl Thomas getting workouts, So you want to bring them here to Dallas. And I get people saying, people are saying, you know, fter culture and f the locker room and f all this and forget
all this. It's all about getting on the field. But I'm telling you it's things like that when you see organization like the Baltimore Ravens and what they mean and what they bring and how they're builting, how they run their system, and they say, you know what, dude, you don't fit here with us. Despite whatever you may be, this isn't the place for you. And that's why you probably see a guy like Earl Thomas still sitting at home on the couch watching games like us on Sunday.
So here's saying that this team doesn't have the culture. Hell, no, say is that a work in progress? That can that be? Uh? That doesn't sound like an easy change, an easy overnight fix. It's not Coultures never, coultures never. It didn't happen overnight, and you can't fix it overnight. It's gonna take some time for it for it to evolve. And you know the great Troy ait Man, he was on one of the stations locally here. He was talking about what he saw. Defensively,
he said it just the effort. Wasn't there a lot of hero ball? And I just tell you that's a culture that has been long formed over time and you still see it spilling over in the game today. And so again, it didn't take It didn't happen overnight, and you ain't changing it overnight. And I don't care what coach you bring in here. You can bring in Jesus Christ himself, and I know he turned water into wine like this, and I know that he's trust me. This
is what this group. Even Jesus gonna need about three days. He gonna need a couple of days. He gonna need a couple of days to get this thing right, can see more run orienting? Who that Jesus? Oh, Jesus, has he? Hell? Mary? You know he passed first. He thought blesses left and right. Baby, he thought them blesses left and right. He rang, he ranged them blesses down on everybody. He passed first naked.
I'm gonna tell you something, Fellas And on a serious note, Uh, when you don't have your star players performing, what do you expect from the other guys? You know, we we don't have our star players performing, and we only have one. That's the Marcus Lawrence. All the other stuff don't don't. Don't do that. So Lawrence Lawrence had a quote came out yesterday. He said, it's not my job to worry about scheme or worry about where the next man is going.
I already have a hard enough job myself. It's all about just attacking, and I don't feel like we're doing that all as a unit. Now I get what he's saying. He has to get it, He has to get himself right for it. He has to do his job. But as a leader on this team, shouldn't he be worried about his teammates and Ray Lewis. Would Ray Lewis have said that, I wouldn't think so what laj said that late? Nah? Nah? What? What?
What The problem is here is he has the line up and through his leadership of performance, then the rest will speak for itself. Great players don't worry about systems. Great players are the system. And we've paid him to be a great player and he's not dominating. So yes, now he's worried about whether he's lined up right or wrong. That shouldn't matter. If you're a freak and we're playing you, pinn you like a freak. Number Number ninety five went on.
You know he stayed predominantly on our right tackle, but he moved around just a little bit. He has that are about him that you have to know where he's at. That they're double teaming me. No they're not. But I can see you right now shooting the wrong gap and getting washed down and the guy's breaking outside running for twenty five yards. So you have to fix you first. I said it yesterday and I said again to day. I'm gonna say it all week. Each player has to
take upon himself to do his job. If his extra film work that will help him. He has to do that. If it's extra running, Ontario, do Ontario. If it's extra run, you have to do that. I'm just being honest. I'm just being honest. I'm just being honest. Oh I love I love petty name. I love. This is my favorite name. You know. I listened to a guy yesterday said the offense,
the offense can't put the ball on the ground. I agree, But you asking our offense to play perfect if you're gonna give up over one hundred and fifty yards a game, Russian and people are gonna throw for four hundred yards a game, and more important than they're gonna get five TVs a game. They said, well, the offense putting the ball on the ground, And I say, okay, I agree with that. You're saying they got to play perfect, zero interceptions,
zero fumbles. They're like, yeah, they got to I say, well, they goes to defense, right. We've made it where our defense can do anything they want. That's why I talk with y'lding somewhere else getting striped sacks, and we got what we got done. Donet Lawrence. I mean he said yesterday too that this team was soft, or after the game he said they were soft I mean he's got to do more than that now. I mean he can't just take care of himself as a leader on this team.
What does he have to do now in the locker rooms, you gotta go up and say you're soft, play your position and get you a couple of sacks. Change the game. Game. Here's what take has to do. Okay, he has to do this, Thank you, Jess. That's what he has to do. No more lip service. We have no more room for lip service. If your feet ain't moving in the action service, I don't want to hear from you. I've heard all
of the DeMarcus Lawrence quotes and soft again. If you're calling this unit soft, you're the captain of the soft squad. You're you're the leader of the soft boys. And I'm not attacking any person individually as a man. I'm saying, there's nothing you should be talking about. Okay, you you I think about great leaders. Michael Irvin wouldn't accepted that. You. If we are having a sloppy offense, we stay at
the practice and we're getting it right. Or if I'm the leader of this defense, guess what we're doing after practice is over. Hey, guys, we're back in this film room, and we're gonna work together as a team or my leadership in this film room to figure this out. Like that's the thing I'm not talking about like team only player meetings. I'm talking about actual tangible stuff that leaders go and do. Sitting in front of the media giving
us sound bites and quotes don't do anything. And the biggest thing for a guy like Tank, wait, wait where this is when words begin to become very just loose and have no weight and have no meaning because the famous saying is the eye and this guy don't lie. So it's very tough for a guy like Tank to stand up in front of anyone when they sit in that offensive defensive meetings. And that coach got that clicker and he see he circles taking he says, Tank, what
the hell are you doing? How are you getting washed down? Or they show it, Everson Griffin, where are you going? Tristan Hill? Did he just throw you about the club? Oh my god, Jalen, are you jogging on the backside? So now you can't how can you come to me and say anything? You can't come to me and say anything because I just watched the film you've just watched. And if you're supposed to be the leader, well hell, you know the line up app and you're supposed to
have containment, Why are you going down inside? That ain't got nothing to do with effort, That ain't got nothing to do with nothing. That's just simply knowing what you're supposed to be doing. And if you're supposed to be going up the field in containment and you get washed down, you can't come talk to me. And now you have a bunch of guys who are supposed to be your leaders giving lip service and it ain't putting no action to work. So you know what that it falls on
deaf ears. It goes in one ear and out the other, because you can't come talk to me when your house ain't right. You can't come tell me about mine when yours is filthy. You can't tell me to clean up my area when you live in like Oscar the Grouch. So until these games start, until these individuals or this team, these leaders, and until these guys begin to start having solid performances and actually can sit here and say, you know what, I graded out pretty damn well this game.
Now you can come start talking to me. But you can't talk to me if if if you ain't got no sacks, you ain't got no tackles you got, mister Simmons, your great, it's about worse than mine because I'm gonna look at you as a man ago ebra, not today, not today. They already on my back. I only hit nothing from you because you're sorry too. So you can't
come talk to me if you're sorry. So if your best players are or you're supposed best players aren't performing, your highest paid players aren't performing, can a can a lower tier guy who's busting his butt? You know? Can a say a Donovan Wilson who may not be the most talented, but if he's trying hard, can he speak up? I mean, who's gonna be the leader? Is making pay? Is he making plays? I'm just saying it's just an example.
I mean, can a lower tier guys step up and be a leader if he's if he's making plays, yes, sir, yes, sir. I mean he's not gonna say a lot, but by his actions and the one or two words that he does say, you're gonna look at him and you're like, wow, this dude bawling, you know, but you can't say a lot. The locker room is a funny thing. The locker room is a funny thing. And I've learned. You know, I wasn't a top player by no means, but I wasn't a bottom player. He look and every night and then
I would say something I knew my place. I would just say something directly that one of our stars and just say something get them going. You know. Uh, this thing is so funny, man. Uh it's they're one or two plays away defensively from uh everything no, no, no, everything changing. You need an interception here, a big sack there, and things change for you and your offense get a lead and now they just maintain that lead and things change for you. And you know that's you know, that's
the patience. Yeah, we're very very critical today. It's money is Monday, and it's susy, and we're very critical. But just one or two plays if you are those guys that's seeking and trying to get those one but it can change for you. But they have a long ways to go because they keep any seals and by not lining up right, you know, and I understand at the beginning of the game, you may have had a lot of schemes, but after about eight plays, the coach probably
simplified everything, like, Wow, these guys are gashing us. Let's be very simple. Let's get everybody lined up and let's get ready to go. We're gonna get We're gonna get ready to go to break because this is depressing the hell out of me talking about how bad this defense is. And some other people had some things to say about the defense too. Troy Aitman came out and said something this morning, Jesse, you sent us a tweet by Marcus Spears talking about the defense. Coach McCarthy and Mike Nolan
both talked about the defense. We're gonna hear what they all had to say, and I want to get y'all thoughts on it as we continue to talk about the defense, and maybe we'll talk about some other things if we have time. You know what, man, for everybody on Twitter who tried to spell somebody name, I promise it is right here. I want some good football. I'd rather have great football and not be spending so great all right, pronounced Terry to Coach McCarthy and Mike Nolan. Both said
effort was not a problem. On Sunday, there's some guys in the media they watched the wrong tape over over the last couple of days. Troy Antman came out this morning and said that he would be embarrassed. You know Manniacho that used to be on Cover four. He's come out with some things. And then Jesse, you sent us a tweet that of last night that Marcus Spears former cowboy. What did he have to say? He called out the manhood of each one playing on the defense. He said, listen, fellas,
he don't give a damn about scheme. He'll give a damn about all that kind of stuff. It comes time. It comes down to you being a man and putting out everything you got for yourself and your brothers to your leftist You're right, and it was no excuse he was.
He was embarrassed as someone who's he said, to someone who's been in the defensive line meeting rooms, who's been in that culture, what they put out there was embarrassing, and they should be embarrassed, and they should and they should look around at one another to say this is crap.
You know, you can throw for four and five or six hundred yards and all of that, and ain't nobody gonna say to them because you know his footwork, it's bumping, it's running, and his talent wise, well, when a dude line up on you, grab you and your chest and pick you up and walk with you and throw you on the ground, that's physical, bro. So what are the people would call? Obviously you said it right whenever I started when I read that, Jesse, you know they watched
the wrong tape. Obviously, the coaches, all these former players are coming out and saying what they see, and they're all seeing the same thing, and then the coaches they've got to see the same thing. But are they protecting the players? Like what why would they come out in the media and say that, or is it like, hey, I got y'all's back, or what's going on behind closed doors? Yeah. Yeah. For a coach, you know, and I get it. It's your job to protect your players and protect your locker room.
And it's already bad enough that you have, you know, media people like myself and Nate and everybody else in the world who go out and we're going to be very critical of the team. So the coaches they don't they don't have to. They don't necessarily want to add fuel to the fire. They don't want they don't want to pour gasoline on an already you know, five alarm fire. So they try to say things to kind of keep,
you know, keep their player protected. But there's a couple of phrases that I want to just read off that if you ever hear a coach say this is completely bs. So. If you ever hear coach say about a player, he played with a good energy, smart player, plays extremely hard. And the new one that I added this morning is
plays with courage. If you hear coaches or gms or owners or any people use those phrases about a player who you know has stunk it up like a porter potty at the fair, those are phrases that you know, they straight telling that bull. That's straight up bull. He plays hard, plays the right way, plays extremely hard, smart player. He was courageous. That's just simple and nice ways of trying to defend my guys because they playing like Boo boo.
That's all it is. So whenever you hit those terms, just roll your eyes and know, roll your eyes and cover your nose because Boo boo is coming. It's courageous. It's courageous. Walking out on seventy five is that's not smart, and that's what that's what Nick Chubdon brought down, Like running out down seventy five ran over. Yeah, courageous. Courageous is going for tours of duty in our rack. That's courageous.
That that's what I call courageous. Courageous is a doctor in a hospital taking care of patients when they have corona or other elements that can affect the doctor and the people in the nurses that are working there, well, that's courageous. Courageous is a fireman going into a blazing,
burning building to save people. That's courageous. Being paid tens of millions of dollars to go out there to do a child's game that you are not doing well is not courageous to me and those are terms that people use to to it's it's it's putting perfume on dud. It stinks. Go ahead on court. I'm sorry. Well, we talked in the last segment about the culture being so bad and changing the culture. I mean, does it help. I realize the coaches are going to protect their players,
but does that help. I mean he's just sort of appeasing them and letting them to know it's okay whatever. I mean, maybe he should be a little tougher on him. If he's saying that public and also saying in the private that's what the problem is. Now. If he's saying that publicly but chewing him out and give ripping him a new one privately, then then maybe yes it'll work. But you if he's saying, oh, what we saw a
film was great effort. If he's saying that publicly and also saying that privately, we have major, major issues and we need to run the opposite way fast, you know it does it? Does it create a little bit more I don't know, pressure or whatever. If it's public, though, I mean, you get a guy that you know call him out a little bit with that, with that help change things a little quicker. It just spends on the
player knowing your player. It depends on it depends on I just asked this question here, you know, and I know it's simple, you know. But if I'm lining up in front of you and then back, I'm looking right at his eyes, student through you into the back ass and the full back to the tail back, and you come and straight at me, it's me and Jayden. I'm the down lineman. They moved me out the way. They run over Jayden in the back running. I mean, what, what,
what are you gonna say? Oh, nay, this all right? Next time, try hard. I don't get what you're saying. Man, it don't matter. It's the it's on the players. It's totally this game. This was not a bunch of motion like it was with the Rams. This weren't a bunch of guys moving around. This was guys lining up in two tight ends, maybe shifting one time, getting said allowing for you to set, and they took off running at you.
They were coming downhill. Now, you we've all been out with Sons and Pop Warner games where they just line up with a great running back and quarterback and they just running the run. Son, can't you see they ran the same play eight times. Fair Nat, because you're some
of the run that was running down those kids. Train was the one that was running the other kids over the other side, Nate, When Nate you weren't blocking for the all time leading Russia on the National Football League, and then you have your son who's run down on these kids. You can't relate, Nate, you are. I can't relate because we had a bad coach before we had an our return, and we've been a lot of a come downhill on nobody. Jess, I've been one in fifteen.
I'm serious. I've been one in fifteen. I've been three and thirteen. And the difference was the players. The difference was the players. When you have the players with the wheel in the drive to be the best they can be individually and collectively, you have a better team. That's that's the bottom line. That's the bottom line. Because Stone coach said, so, how many other teams around this league are they having this exact same conversation, maybe out this
exact same conversation. How many? Yeah? I mean we're so entrenched in this and we see this, and we're so engulfed in this, we think this is the only team that this is happening to you. How many teams are their fans who terrible? The whole Independent East, the Eagles, but you know, teams like the Jets, they knew they were gonna be bad. We all thought the Cowboys were going to be a contender. But don't we don't we do that? No, don't do that, don't do that. Don't
you didn't think? What what y'all have heard me say off air? Like I say every year, you're gonna get me to say the Cowboys sixteen and old by Friday. I'm gonna tell you how the Cowboys can win if they do what I say do. But I asked you, guys, and I'm saying it again on air and offair, what is it that you saw on this team to make you think there was gonna be a playoff team? And I'm at see you again. They had a new coaching staff, and they had they obviously have an offense that can
be a playoff team. Always we said that just had to be average. That always said was the defense had to be average. And they're they're okay, that's what I'm saying. We didn't know that. I'm saying that you don't care would be a contender. Everybody thought the Cowboys are going to Nobody thought the Jets were gonna be a contender. So yes, they're having those conversations. But I think it's a little different for the Cowboys because they're not where
anybody expected them to be. Well, y'all know, I'm telling you what I told you is the truth, So you can you can say everybody else, but you asked me, and I'm telling you I you have to show me. A year ago they got me. Well, nobody talking crazy. Look but me how I thought the defense is gonna be this and be that. How they how everybody was gonna be over the top. But this year here they had to show me. And I'm gonna say I said it all fair. I'm saying it don't where I've told
you guys. What do you see before this season that made you think that there was gonna be something special? Well for me, I mean I thought, I'm gonna say for me, I thought, you know, adding CD Lamb, I thought Dak was gonna take the next step. You already had a pretty good receiving corps. I did think the addition of Everson Griffin and Don Terry Poe would bring
up something on the difference. I did think those two free agent sciences were going to be huge for us in so many different ways, and it's turned out that it has been nothing but a waste of our time. Um, but I did think offensively that this team would be able to compete and go against anyone in the league. I did not think and I'm gonna say this to you as well, Nate, Yeah, I don't even think you thought this defense was going to be this bad. Oh no,
I don't think anybody thought that. Like we knew offensively, you know what we might you add CD lamb. Oh my guy, he was a number set. He was still there at seventeen. We added this prolific receiver to our We're like, okay, offensively, we got something. Now we can just get a little something from our defense. We should be I no one, no one, no one thought that this defense would be this bad. Right now, then, Terrio Pole and Everson Griffin. You heard me say, I see what,
Everson Griffins, this is something tangible. I just not have high hopes on all these I said, we get what we get. The other kid, great, we get, But I say this is tangible with Pole stopping the run. What Everson Griffins was a great run defender, anna pattern. We should have something special here, but as I saw the first game, the Rams should have told us a lot, but we choose to ignore that and say, okay, well, okay, no preseason, no this, no that, Okay, next, okay, we
barely won the Atlanta game. Okay, then Seattle, well, no preseason Okay. Now it's the fourth game. Okay, when do you saw realizing that these coaches got a hell of a battle on their hands trying to change the culture of this locker room. That's true. And if you're gonna come out every week after loss and try to find an excuse not to get better and pamper and baby and not to say nothing, okay, that you get what
you deserve. But if you can't see, that's why I say I watched the games, not just only our game, but teams that are good and say, okay, what is the difference here? And it keeps coming back to players. Players. Coach Backnoli for the Diva's a coordinator for Kansas City Chiefs. They're like, oh, great job, but they also tell you got tyrone matthis on the back end got Anthony Hitchens in the middle, and they got Chris Jones up front. Now give us out three, Kurt. Oh yeah, talent, Yeah,
we don't. We don't have the talent to be a playoff or defenses or near a playoff team. But you know, I'm saying a few pieces. Yeah, I thought we have a few pieces that will help improve us to give our offense a chance. Okay, if our offense have one turnover, we have a fifty cent chance of losing the game. If our office has suit turnovers, we lose the game. Okay,

I'm gonna make it
there Thursday, Thursday. All right, let us know if they have them in stock. All right, Kurt, what were you saying before I cut you off? I'm sorry, buddy, Oh nothing. I just think that Ny and I were kind of saying the same thing. We both thought, you know, before the scene is started. We thought they had the pieces to make a run. But as as we've seen, let me run, my run is different to yours. My run was they make a run to the playoffs. Let me ask you, yes, sir, go ahead, go ahead, Nate, No,
my run was to the playoffs. See, we haven't been to the playoffs. And in the playoffs, I mean in the playoffs, talk about the second round. I'm talking about NFC Championship. We haven't been there in so many years. How about let's make a couple of runs to the playoffs consistently and then that gives yourself a chance to build something. But to hit and miss every year that you're not going anywhere, you're not And I thought that
Ontario Poe. I honestly thought that our run wolds would be over and that would give the other guys a chance to rush the passer. But that is that's none existing at this point. Why does there seem to be a common theme with this team that every year it seems we over evaluate the talent or we we hear that they got the talent. They got the talent. Now you don't used to it was all its coach. It's fault, It's the offensive coordinator's fault, it's this person's fault. Now
you got a new coaching staff in here. This year, of all years, you've got the talent. Everybody was expecting this team to explode offensively, which they've done because they've had twas, they've been playing from two touchdowns, you know, down almost every game. But why does it seem there's a common theme that that we have the talent, or at least we're told we have the talent, and then we over evaluate and at the end of the year we're looking back and we're eight and eight again. Is
that is that every team in the league? Is that just having your hopes up? Or is that something that's singular to this team? Now, I ain't trying to be funny, but let me say this right Quilt, after the Hitches Wilson to some degree, Tacol, these were guys that were here here and players on it team. They're no longer here, ain't So everybody has players that they cut and release and all of that. But after the Hitchens and Wilson were guys that we could have resigned, we chose not to.
They don't sell jerseys, Nate. Their name is not popular. People don't know them. You can't put them on a ticket stamp, you can't put them up in the pro shop, Nate. That's the biggest the problem. We we sometimes go to this thing where we were I think they need to fight harder for those players. Yes, I'm not buying that. I think the defensive players, the defensive coach. You need to stand on the table for some of these players.
They're trying to keep their jobs. You can only you can only stand on if the table is about to break on you. You can only stand on that table for so much for players. Hell, you're trying to keep your jobs. So if you're gonna stand up and be vocal for somebody else, I'm gonna look down at you and say, uh, have you checked the defensive stats? Sir? You might want to be quiet that end of the table talking about we should keep somebody mind. Well, you
want to just put me on the street. I believe leave. Yes, I believe last year that Jason Garrett should have called his own plays. You stand on the table for what you truly believe. And I stand on the table still. And maybe he's doing it. Maybe Mike McCarty's call him, Mike McCarthy should be calling plays. He's our new head coach with a special gift. And I'm gonna stand by that,
my friend. I'm gonna stand by that. You got to give this guy every opportunity, you let him hire his own coaches set one guy, but that is the guy that controls your offense now. And then they said, well they plays. There ain't nothing wrong with the plays. The players gotta do some players got to do that. But I want to see the head coach who's an offensive coordinator call the plays. I believe that wrong, right, they're indifference.
Can I say one thing that that Mike, it's not it's to this subject, but it's not to this subject that I kind of just wanted, like a psad of Jesse. Let me ask you this honest question. Have you ever wanted to say something on this show that you didn't say? Thank you? They don't even ask me that question. I
want to say this. I want to say as a as a PSA to some of our fans, because we get into this notion of hey signed this guy, sign that guy, signed this guy, and I just want to tell people that some of the people that you want us to sign, or just free agent in general, understand that they watch the same game that you watch, and they see that this team is not a very good football team. And despite some of them wanting to be lifelong Cowboy fans and might want to be a part
of this organization. There are a lot of free agents who are not hurting for cash, not chasing the dollability anymore, are up there in age and they're looking to be with the contender. They're looking around. They're saying, I'm not signed right now, But do I want to go to a one and three team who is in complete disarray, or do I want to try and go get with the team that's four and oh three and one two and two but has some promises, some upside to actually
go deep into the playoffs. Not everybody wants to come and be a Cowboy. And before you start telling me, well he said that this was his first choice, go read the article. Go read the entire article. And the only reason certain players said this was their first choice because he just had a baby and just wants to be close to home. Not necessarily he wants to come and play for the Cowboys. So there are certain things I want people to understand when they're talking about go
sign this guy's go sign this guy. They watch the same thing we watch. And as guys who are thirty plus years old, who are veterans, former Pro bowlers, who got a bank or boatload of money, I ain't trying to go bang my head to be out of here in December. If I'm gonna go bang my head and spend time away from my family, damn, And I want to spend some time in the playoffs, deep into the playoffs in January and hopefully end up somewhere in February.
So just just be cautious of that. When you guys go out and say we should sign so, maybe so and so or every song and SO doesn't want to be a Dallas Cowboy, especially when you're not playing up to the standards which most veterans want to be a part of. Most guys don't want to be a part of a bad team. They want to go to a playoff contending team. All right, fellas, tomorrow's Wednesday. We're turning the page. We've had two days to bet, We've had two days just to correct this team, and we're gonna
move on tomorrow. We're gonna we're moving on. Hey, the tom thumb Albertson's pharmacy will arrive to stay day to fix all your We had a fact see for the Dallas Cowboys. Jess, Yeah, listen, get them here on a safe plane, have them ushered in by police escort, don't let me Hey, make sure the hotel is cleane, positive tests or nothing. We need nothing. Get them here as soon as possible, safe and sound. If you know a Giants fan, hug him and tell him thanks for coming

We get to talk about Jason Garrett all show long. You thought he was gone off this program. He's not. He'll be back offense and their defense right, our offense, their defense tomorrow. Yes, sir, okay, yes, sir. Nate looking good in that purple. Thanks for being here, Kurt, thanks
