The following. Here's a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. Cowboys flowing out of the backfield. They flowing down the sidelines. He's hanging with the boys, presented by wing Stuff where Flavor gets its wings. Now your hosts, Jesse Holly, Kurt Daniels, and Nate Newton. What's going on across the Yeah, I love with my families in the building. That's a live look at the Tostitos Championship plans outside in front of the Ford Center.
The boys back in the town. Today's high it's seventy six degrees. Is currently about sixty six degrees. Feeling good, looking good. I just get so excited when everybody's in the building. While spen a while, Nate came bearing gifts. You are anytime you cover free stuff for us. You all right with me? You are? Ryan? I love you, guys, man, and I miss you the last few weeks. I'm not gonna complain. I asked for a hoodie, but he gave me a T shirt. Let me tell you why. Let
me tell you why. Je I wasn't even gonna buy nothing for you know, because I wasn't even gonna get myself anything because that it's high. Yeah. So I went in there. I told him, man, give me this, giveing that, and then he kind of gave me the wrong size, and I just walked out, you know, because I'm like, if if you're gonna spend come on, man, Colorado, I can see if this, but you're supposed to go down
walking now. I did go to equipment room, but I only got He gave me one hood and I you know what, I said, you know what, I need to go back, but I was it was so cold, level degree. I was trying to break up out of that. Bro. Man, we thank you so much, man, but we're a bad do better. Next time. I'll go to the equipment room. I know where to go. Yeah, okay U. He is the senior editor, Kurt Daniels. Magazine's out right now give me the magazine, Kurt, and I bet you he's been
a half b John Robinson and there all over it. Man, come on, man, Kurt right here, the senior editor of the Star, the magazine. The draft guy. This this year's draft guy. Some people are asking for your autograph for this on this graft on, this draft guy. Go get this digital copy in stores digitally. However, you, however you consume your information. Old school like it touch, lick the fingers in, touch the papers, and new school like to have it digitally. Our boy Nate is back off the road.
Three times super Bowl champion. They knew and Chris Beam got us locked down on the back. I am the below average Jesse Holly took together. We are hanging with the boys, the sports talk equivalent umbrel. People feel us when we speak. This segment is brought to you by Wingstop, where a flavor gets its wings. You want to just kind of give us a little update on how Colorado was. Let me let me tell y'all something. Let me tell y'all something right now, I went all the way to Colorado,
me and Tony Tiber. Okay, and if Colorado has the same problem the Dallas Cowboys have a lack of offensive linemen. They are looking they look at this, look at it. I went up there scouting and everything I'm looking at it. I'm sitting in there with the scouts. I'm telling them what I desire as the offensive alignment of what I look for. I come back into showing for us talking by the running back. Okay, fellas you wanted Zeke out of here, he gone. Then you overpaid Tony Pollo by
four million dollars. Now you hauling Bison Robinson. We can find another draft pick for lineman with. Two years ago, a guy lost the Super Bowl because he didn't have offensive lineman. Now this year here a quarterback. Let me step back and let my offensive line take over. And now I got to hear about if we get this kid in here, I'm gonna love it. But I am not letting this last crew that this show that went before us. I ain't calling their name. I ain't gonna
let you rest. Don't tell me how bad offensive lineman is. Don't tell me what we need to do in the next year's draft. We can fix this right now. Jesse, thank you. I love that. I like this. I like this kind of man. I hate that. But hey man, how y'all been doing? Now we're good. Let's get right into this that. I think great. I think you're a great point good, curse good, I'm good. We're all good. My question to you is are you leaving us? Dion?
Trying to pull you up there? The work brother. I tried to two days to move around on that field, and I had to sleep for two days after that. Once I got back in town. Bro, I cannot. I am disabled and it is showing badly. You understand me too. He got the segues, he got these little things. He right around on. Get you one too, Bro, it's a wait limit to that. Are you trying to leave us? Tryna, Man, I'm trying to. I'm trying to hang out with you guys. Man. I love y'all, man, And I was so hurt when
you last week? We both was it last week or two weeks ago? We ain't been together so long? Three? Yeah. It usually be Kurt running out on us, but it's been me running out on him. Wow. But man, I'm just hey, bro, what what's been happening? Talk to me? Jas. You went the wrong way to Boulder, Yes, I did. It's supposed to be eighty one degrees there tomorrow, thank you, thank you. Eleven degrees. I'm like, man, I look at him right now. The day before I was so happy
because it was it was seventy degrees. And then I got there that evening and went to bed, and I parked down the street and I came out and I couldn't even see him a vehicle, and I'm not smart enough to know that when you open the door, all the snow gonna falling. The man? Good? Why din go to Colorado? Oh? Man? Theybody thought he was going to South Florida, but he didn't go. But the boys in Colorado? That's like all of what but the Cowboys? Yeah, Yeah,
that's what it was. The Cowboys um three players reportedly brought they had brought in for their thirty visit. Those three players are all wide receivers. M Now, I know that the last show talked about a running back right with the Cowboys again? Had I've been flirting around a little bit with these receivers? Is this this is a place that you feel like the Cowboys may go, should go? We know why. I understand. I'm gonna standing on mine. I told Johnny the flexi sexy. I'm not getting off
of that. I said that before draft guys came out from Max came out. I wanted to flexi sexy. If you're gonna take anything in the first round, give me a flexi sexy tight end. How are you guys feeling with the Cowboys potentially maybe taking a receiver you don't need one. You know, just round quick, because we don't. We got Brandon Cooks. We got a growing up. What's what's our Oklahoma guy city Land? We got him and
uh and uh gall him Michael Gallup. Okay, if you're trying my later rounds going to get a wide receiver, fine, but not in the first three either. That's tober kid need to grow up and come on and do his thing. You know, if we need special team players, we can get linebackers to do that. That's just how I feel, real quick. Like. It makes you wonder if they have questions. I mean, they just got books and they got gallop.
Yet you know, if all those guys are healthy and ready to roll, you would think that's a pretty You know, there's not many top three receiving corps. You know better than that. So why are they trying to bring in a first pick wide receiver? There just playing Devil's advocate in this conversation. It's it's for the future because when you look at it, this team, most likely in the coming months will probably work out some sort of deal that will give Dak Prescott an extension that'll keep them here.
I'm just stuff. You just let me work through this now. No, I'm just I'm backing up waiting for you to get through. That's the all it is, right, that's all they go ahead on, Jess, You're on a good track for Dak. Brandon Cooks to me is a one year rental. That's just to me. I think. I think Brandon Cooks is a guy who's a one year rental and next year, whoever is the highest bidder, he'll probably go to that team.
Because Brandon cook has come to the point in time of his career where he's made a ton of money and now he's gonna start kind of almost ring chasing. Where could I go to best possibly fit that'll get me a ring? It's the days of him getting cash. He's cash he's cashed up. He's a cash cow. He's cashed up. Yeah, you're gonna get Cede Lamb his deal and Gallup already got here. And you don't know what you got there. You don't know what you gotta Gallup.
You don't know what you gotta send me. You don't know what you have in Jayleen Tolbert so and everything. Pass Cooks and Cede Lamb is still a question mark for this football team. It's a huge question mark for this football team. And with this being a passing league,
you're always looking to somehow, some way stockpile weapons too. Now, when you talk about the receivers that potentially can go what they've been looking at guys like a cooked I means they cooked a guy like Zay Flower Flower, Jalen High. They brought in the kid from TCU. I gotta office Alow from TCU a Vila. Yeah. The one thing if they're going to go wide receiver, they gotta get some size. Like I don't feel comfortable. This is just Jesse Holly.
I don't feel comfortable with a receiver room shock field with six one in below receivers. I just I just don't what because again, everything that I look at, I look at for this quarterback, the whole quarterback friendly situation. What Dak Prescott? You need to give him weapons that gives him a range of a range of window to throw. What I mean is the catch radius right, bigger the wing span, The bigger the wingspan, the bigger the catch radius.
That gives them the ability to not always have to be so precise and accurate that allow him to maybe miss wide, or miss high, or miss left or miss right, and the receivers have the wingspan, the range, the length to go out there and make those receptions. When you start getting a bunch of these small, little, shifty, quick guys, now that's timing, that's accuracy, that's precision. Not saying that he can't be those things. I'm just saying that if you give him a different look, it allows him to
be a better quarterback. Was then allows your offense to be a much better and more efficient offense when he's at the helm of it. So, so I don't know where they're going to go at this spot. If I don't get a Flexi TEXI, I'm kind of side of, yeah, don't know. If they go out and get a wide receiver, sins, you won't talk. If they go out and get a wide receiver. By six five three ten, he'll be perfect. What you think six? He said, six five, I understand
six five to six ten, six five to three ten. Yeah, well yeah, just all right, I got you. You. We do have one lineman on this football team. And then talking about moving around a little bit, we'll talk about that lineman. Who that lineman the should that lineman be a guy that they move around across that offensive line, or should he stay put when he comes back from what he comes back from, stay right here with us. We'll take our first break at the show. When we
come back, we'll talk about that lineman. Maybe Nat'll give us some more of that good Colorado energy. Maybe you got some of them gummies from Colorado. I got you that got you up and going again from that cold Okay, that too? That too? All right, this is hang with the boys. We'll be right back. I'm Dak Prescott, quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. They are Hall of Fame at throwing a party that that they do well. But um, we talked about we tease it a little bit before the break. Nate comes comes in this morning
and he is He's yelling down the hall. He's yelling down the hall like Nate is screaming. I thought he fell. I thought it was life alert. I thought I thought I fall in and I can't fell, right, Chris, We looked at the other is that Nate? I thought we thought you fell. We thought that that was it. But Nate was like, y'all bad not be talking about b Jean Robinson when we got a knee for offensive linement.
I agree, maybe biased coming from Nate could be biased coming from Nate, But I do think there is some some validity in that statement. The Cowboys looked at what they did last year. Terence still was your right tackle. Hurt during the year, rehabbing has been going well. He's worth king with due manny Weather and it's looking good. He's looking good. And this was kind of one of those things you said, all right, we now have our book ins, We've now got Tyler Smith at left tackle.
Kind of found his weather a little bit last year bouncing back and forth, and then you had Terence Steele at right tackle. That's where you kind of start. I got my book ins, get me a sinner. We know what the president is going to be he is, Yeah, he's asking if Zack Martin is going to be good? Is asking if the sun is going to come up in the moment. True. I was gonna say what I said to Chris in the text, but that wouldn't be
on appropriate. So when you look at yeah, you know, so when you look at he said, maybe we only got to really fill in one or two more spots. Well, reports have come out that the Cowboys have been looking to maybe do a little bit of musical chairs. It's been talks to Terror Still as the swing tackle or as the left guard. He's one of the best run
boxers in the game. Is this a situation where you're saying, Okay, let's put one of our best players in a position of mead or is this the Cowboys kind of almost getting in their own way with this musical chairs type situation with the offensive line. I'm going to get to you, Kurt, but it would only be right if we let a three time Super Bowl champion, six time Pro Bowl offensive lineman. Talk about the offensive line first, give us your thoughts. I just I just feel like if we walk through
still a whole career. And I said from the day when I say this kid is nothing but a right tackle, he can be excellent at right tackle, especially if this is a run team, a run first team. And even through the bad times I say this kid is a right tackle, they throw him over the left. Oh my god, they throw him this place, in that place, but he always came back to the right tackle and gave you the best he could be. Now he has an injury,
now you know. And I just hope that mister Jones em are just playing games because he's a right tackle. He is a right tackle. He's a play action pass right tackle. Run run run, pass pass, run, run, run, That's who he is. He can be dumbinant, that's where he gets his confidence from. And I hope that he's our starting right tackle. All the other stuff I don't I don't understand is when you're trying to get continuity, the offensive line is one of the last places you
are want to lose that. And then for the last two or three years, we just continue to play these musical chairs with our offensive lineman. And you know, up under the disguise of about the five best offensive linemen, where your five best, one of the best of the game is the right tackle. Why are you moving him? So you've got three quality tackles, assuming they're all healthy,
what what do you how do you handle? I'm going with the young the young rookie from last year at the left, and I'm going with Steers right as steel at the right. And that's just how it goes. Yes, you know, you don't you you you you? You know. I listen to people say when you when he's healthy. When you start saying that a bottle player, that means he's missing two thirds of the season, and and that
messages once again with the continuity of your team. You know that game now, I don't want to play I didn't want to play it last year and it came back to bite us doing the playoffs. I don't want to play it going into this year. Just get five guys, and even of you put this guy in left guard. Okay, let him stay at left guard. Yeah, I mean, whatever you do, let it be. You know, we don't want to Okay, Well, he don't want twenty five snaps. Let's put Peterson in. Oh, he don't win thirty five snaps,
Let's put ball in. That was that's disaster. Man, What do you think that? Like? Steel is an unrestricted I mean, he's a restricted free agent this year, so he's bounded. They've already gave a second round tender offer. I think, so he'll probably sign. But if he's like, man, if you guys are gonna move me to guard, I'm gonna be an unrestricted free agent next year where I can make more money as a tackle. I mean, is that gonna create some bad feelings there? The agent is always
bad feelings. The kid can love it all he want, but if the agent called him in the room, say here's twenty five meal and here's fifteen, that's an extra ten million knowledge you can do something. Agent. That is his job. That is what we pay him for to be that bad guy. So he can just cut his phone off when he leaves the next hit, Just cut his phone off and tell him that y'all talk to my agent, and he ain't got to never say nothing
to the Joneses again. I think one of the biggest things that from a fan perspective, when we talk about because fans will tell you, we'll just give me the best five moves guys around. And what you fail to realize is, and it does. It's not as blatant at times when you talk about the interior situation where like, okay, if you got to go to the fourth quarter, right, that could be blatant, right because it's like fifty yard bomb,
sixty yard bomb, touched another completion. But the things that you miss when you don't have to what Nate's point, he was talking about that continuity upfront, it's those small things that happen. It's, oh, he got pushed into Dak's s lap ball flow tide. You blame Dak, but yes, that offensive lineman got pushed in there, or you know what that first down run three yard loss. I was first and thirteen, Yet it doesn't show up that way, but you know, or that window wasn't there because Dak
had nowhere to step up it. So it's small like we see the sacks like those things are eye popping evidence of that was a bad play. The thing that we don't see what the common eye is, the small minute details of yeah, they did a tackle in switch and we didn't communicate it right, and he may not didn't get the sack, but he got around the corner a little bits. And what you have now with that quarterback is there's a there's a mental component to the quarterback.
When he knows his protection is right, he sits in there a little bit different. He's he's less antsy, he's more willing to take another tick before he tucks in, and Ronald drops his eyes to look another place. That's all those small things. When you don't have the offensive linemen in a place where you want it. From a quarterback perspective, things begin to get sped up. And when your quarterback is being sped up, I'm telling you guys, it throws off the timing like you would not believe.
And now everything is off. It's off. That's gonna be even bigger this year, right, because they're talking about the West Coast West Coast off it's more of a timing thing. It's a timing thing. And that's a great point, Kurt. It's that West Coast offense. Everything has to be in sync. It has to be a bunch of Ballerina's three hundred pound rockets. You have you have to have the rockets three hundred pound rockets where the steps in the movements are critical and in line, and when you begin to
have those gaps or those holes up front. This goes back to my point. When you're throwing two smaller receivers and Brandon Cooks is five nine and the ball is he's fast and he's going right, but it's a little bit high because that pocket wasn't as security supposed to be. Now it's a tip, and it's an interception because on the West Coast offense, what do you have shorter, quicker routes.
Ball gets tipped. That means it's not falling twenty yards down the field, it's falling in the middle of where a bunch of guys are surrounded. So if we want to eliminate those interceptions, and we want to eliminate those bad things, to Nate's point, you have to you have to get some sort of continuity up front and saying he's gonna be out right tackle, that's it. And if he get if if someone else gets hurt somewhere else, I'm not moving them. He's gonna be my left. I'm
not moving them. We'll figure out, we'll bring more guys in. Whatever we have to do. Oh man, that's so. That's so prominent. Man, what you're saying now, stop just swinging guys everywhere. Let the guys stay home and be who he can be. The better teams in this well put here. The teams that go to the second round in the playoffs, they don't do that is this is there gonna be a lot of new blocking schemes for these guys to learn. I don't know when we go to training camp. This
is what I hope what happened is. I don't care that you have less practices, but let it be the same five or six guys. We we have a practice hell practice there, and then there's two different guys missing with practice here, we have a practice there, we have three different I'm like, how do you build continuity? Then you spend the first five or six games of the
year in preseason trying to figure it out. Now, fortunate for us, every team in the league is kind of built these systems that they was used the first three or four games. But if you don't have a core like the better teams than the leagues do, man, man, do I'll say this right quickly, I can get out
of here. Do we realize how fortunately we was last year to lose our quarterback and to win three or four games that that that that was unique because the head coach stepped up, put his hands on his offense, got things running in a way, and the young guys were fresh and they believed. And so we don't we pray that gonna happen this year. But I keep going back to that. What was the most Who was the MVP of this team? It was our backup quarterback. If they give out an MVP, they should go to our
backup quarterback. I'm not I'm not joking because brother, we all sat here, me and you and we we literally like, wow, this is over. You know, we saw something about the Draft show. Hey Kyle, what's on? The Draft show? Brought us? You know? This kid saved our season? Ye. And you know, and I said this quickly, KURTI were asking, are they gonna be changes? Yeah, you got new officer line coach.
He's gonna have his own philosophy, new officer court there, they're gonna so, yes, the blocking schemes are going to change that. That new offensive line coach, he's gonna now bring in what he feels is the best practice of what he wants to do with those guys. So there will be some changes, new coach, new schemes, new positions.
That sounds like a lot. And when you combine that with guys in and guys out, guys in and guys out, and you can't find that continuity that that can be the one thing that derails you and having success up front. All right, Well, head into our final break and we're gonna act. We're gonna try to ask some of these questions. The Atlantic wrote an article about Keller Moore and how he wrote drew up a lot of and called a lot of routes that were stopping routes. Does that mean
that can't hit guys on the move? What position, coach do you think needs to have one of the best off seasons for this team to be successful? And is there any other position that needs to be addressed? Maybe inside the offensive live, but I know where you're going that needs to be addressed for this team to come out the same what I talked about the last eight years. But I'm not We'll talk about it to be through
Super Bowl contenders. Stay right here with this will be back flex sex Boys tidy, Hey, Cowboys fans ready to spice up your next watch party. Bring Yokierro guacamole and be the game day hero. The draft is what's today Today is eleven twenty No sixteen days, twenty seventh, twenty eighth. I just read the thing twenty eight, twenty eight, so seventeen days away. Draft is seventeen days away. Players are being looked at. We talked about getting to first base, second base. You get draft, you get drafted. That's kind
of a you know, you lock it in. You know, that's I'll let you know with me and you girl. It's me and you girl, round and third coming home. Strap up, you know, I mean your helmet strap the helmet up. It's gonna be a while roun. But these players that you bring in, whether you bring them in a free agency, whether you haven't you know, retained from your team, or you draft them, they have to be coached.
And that is you know, I always say a good head coach gives you a win and a half two wins a season, like the really good ones can coach you to two wins a year. The really good ones get you two wins by themselves. The calls to set up everything can get you two wins a year. What coach you name by name, But what position coach do you think needs to have an All star type yere for this team to be successful. I think coach Queen that we got a new guy defensive line coach helped
me out, Chris. He has to be very very successful because I don't think we can have the lull that we had last year when the offense kind of started falling off, which they didn't follow on much because they won twelve games, but when the things started getting raggedy, our defense started giving up a lot of chunk yardage and in the run. So our defens line coach has to have a big year, you know, to maintain that so you can take that momentum in to the playoffs.
You know, uh, offense line coach, and we almost drafted and remember and yeah the data, So I just I believe that right there, you're both interior coaches. Has to have a very very successful year because we don't look like we're going to pay attention to that in the draft. Yeah, I think the other side of the ball, we're just talking about Salari. That's right off line. Yeah, who's gonna play where what's geaming? We're gonna run and this and
that I mean that. That's like you just said, if this team ain't gonna do much the offensive line him, I'm not gonna lie guys, that's the lorry move. It just hadn't settled well on my gut. It just hadn't it. Just what a position get you? Not even that? No Pep, no, no, no, no, Colace, just you know, because it just I don't know, I don't I don't know. You don't know him. That's why it hadn't set well on my system. You don't know him. That's why that position for this team is so critical.
And the more you keep dancing around and doing things and that and things like that, because correct me from wrong. What did the coach last year? He coaches Seattle? Yeah, yeah, yeah, two years twenty one. He was out last year. Yeah, so you know, bringing guys in with a new technique, new thought process. You know what I'm saying. He likes to run, though, and he likes to run. He likes the big burly guys. Uh. Yeah. It's just the thing is, can you get five guys officersive line coach like this?
Something the guy we brought for Cincinnati that was that you should that shouldn't have never happened. But most most I was as aligned. Coaches are workers. Yeah, and the good ones are workers of technique and there they never have a moment where they're arresting when when they go special teams, they're doing something, when they running something for the defense and uh, and they don't take all three or four fire. He's doing something. And this is who coach.
He's gonna continue to work. He's gonna continue to press techniques. He's gonna continue to keep these guys moving and when they walk in the building, they'll be thinking football. And that's all you can ask for, you know, understand what your office is a coordinator want and keep these guys mind locked on that. And coaches huss and Hawk, Tony Wise, those was great offensive line coaches. But man, you hated them because it was never a moment's rest when you
walked in and building. He always they always had something for you to do, something to work on a technique, you know, And this is what I see coach Salari doing. Okay, the answer to this question is, honestly, it's a layup. It's a layup. The true answer to this question is a layup. Okay, Okay, lay it up. Then it's Mike McCarthy. Yeah, yeah, it's Mike McCarthy. Call this place. It's it's Mike McCarthy. We hope. So it's Mike. Freaky Mike, freaky, deaky, squeaky Mike.
They answer to this question, is Mike McCarthy. You are in and all intents of purposes, you're last year. Yeah, yeah, you now got rid of the kid that you didn't want to start with. It's on you. It's on you now. This is what we brought you here for. We brought you here for this very reason, sir, to the place
you Lecy gets this one year. It's a layup. If Mike McCarthy is And I do think I talked about this a lot last year with Mike McCarthy, and when people talked about, you know, his game managing and stuff like that, I truely believed that Mike at times was
lost mentally. And I say that because when you're not focused and locked in is something that you've always done at that position, like when Mike was calling place for a long time, when you're so locked in, it's it's these that your censories are so high and so all the other things matter. Now it's the system that you have. But when you took that away, it's kind of like you're trying to lock in, but there's so many other
things distracting you. You're trying to be helpful because you're not calling place and you're not coaching a position, so sometimes you find yourself trying to be helpful. You was like, oh, yeah, I forgot about the play clock. Oh yeah, I forgot about timeouts, or yeah, forgot about the challenge flag. Well y'all forgot about timeouts and down to this and you know,
oh yeah, forgot about challenge and you get lost. But when you're locked in and now your play calling is determined by down in distance, play clock, what are we looking like? How did defense? How defense look? I mean, I'm so in tune now because now I'm like, oh, our defense is balling. Well, I ain't gonna put this ball in harm's away. I'm okay with putting it. I'm gonna I'm gonna go. Oh our defense is struggling. I
don't they need a little bit more breath. I'm gonna be more run heavy, just so the fact that amount it then they can get a little bit more. Oh we we we we got a mouse in the house. Let's go attack him. Let's go because you're so locked in and everything that you do is based around based around that. But this is to me. I'll tell you though, He'll tell you he was locked in like that. You don't think, so you don't think. So here go you. You bring all that to Mic what you just brought
to the head coach, He'll be like, na, Jester's wrong there. No, I was on I was on top of it. That's why. That's why I got kill him out of here. Just the nature of the yea, yeah, you have to be more like yeah, no, I tell like Jim man, Uh, I was mad at coach for a couple I'm like, man, you ain't finning. Call the plays, show kill him what to do, show him how to uh set things up? Why do you? Why are you running this place? So
this here, who's the mouse in the house? Like Jess said, And I'm like, godly, coach, you you you're depriving us of your wisdom and that that that bothered me for a long time. It's when you because when you was first and freaky Mike. I want to forget a freaky Mike. They didn't get you know, but you know. But when he stepped up last year and say, hey, we're gonna talk with kell him kill him about since he's going she's called to help this young man, you know, be
a better play caller. And I and I thank you because you didn't let this team falter, you know. And and man, and that didn't happen a couple of years ago. You didn't fight hard enough for this kid. Coach didn't, I felt, didn't fight hard enough to keep US afloat. And he did. He fought to keep US afloat. And like I said, the MVP man, they can give it to whoever they want, but that young guy, man Rush Cooper,
he that's the MVC. I'm serious, Man, I want to answer this last question before we get out of here, because that's that's it's it's the article from the Atlantic.
No no, no, no, no no. It's an article from the Atlantic, and it talked about that Kelly Moore called too many routes where wide receivers weren't moving stick routes options not option rout stick routes, Harvey's curl routes, explaining when it all came where receivers at the end of the route kind of was always in the stationary position. And you know, Kurt Poe is a question, is this because that Dak Prescott can't hit receivers on the move,
And yeah, I don't think so, Kurt. I think the offense that Keller Moore learned under that's the that's the offense that that Jason Garrett um Lena Han offense is an offense. And we talked. I put it last year. The biggest problem to me was that offense one requires you to have a dominant ex receiver. Your Michael Irvin's, your Des Bryant's, your Miles Austen's, those type of players that are in that offense. That numbers offense. The biggest
thing was that there was no answer too. What teams just started saying that Dak Prescott was, will go zone. We'll go zone, and when they stop, we'll move. We'll make you have to read through it and by the time you get to the guy that you want to get to, we're there. And you saw the Niners kind of do that to two years in a row. Actually, just just eat it alive, and while you may make some completions, eventually they'll they'll see the formation and they'll
go the next time I'm jumping in. And I think that was more of of where Kellen Moore and Dak Prescott's relationship kind of hurt him. Hurt Dak Prescott because you were throwing man beating routes into teams that were playing your zone. Doesn't work that way. You gotta have zone beating routes from when teams are playing your zone. You gotta have man beating routes when teams are playing use a man and it's the mouse game and figuring
out when they're gonna do it. The Cowboys became so predictable, and they've been predictable in that offense for a very long time. The problem before was when you had Michael Urgan, when you had des Bryant, when you had Amari Cooper. They were so more so, so, so much more superior in their ability to defeat the guys and to give you options because sometimes it's like, you know, there is no there is no defense for the right type of offense or the right type of passing the offense. Des
Bryant would eliminate the role in Tony Romo, oh vice versa. Yes, you know, Amari Cooper was so good at the line of scrimmage and his precision that he would he would he would find. You know, it reminds me of to play against the Browns. Right that bangate post one, that that that fifth outside step right one, two three four, that fifth when that fifth foot hits that thing gotta be humming. And it was like two ships passing in
the night. Balls already complete touchdown. Yes, anything outside of that fifth step being hitting that ball being released, that's the precision that you have to have to beat that kind of thing. And I think over time Kellen called a lot of those zone, those man beating routes in zone. It was the reason that that that kind of thing didn't really didn't really work. When the safety is back and you're supposed to cut it walks up and you go behind him. Hey, hey man, it's good to have
came back together. Many thank you for our shirts from Colorado. Thank you man. I'm surprised y'all colleges, y'all want something from an I wanted to hoodie that shat. Yeah.
