Okay, I had to fight off three guys, plush, you had to fight off here, to fight off three guys that were agreeing with him in the first segment, and then he made you walk all the way down here to defend yourself and down the stairs, and you're like, okay, yeah, okay, maybe I made that up. was and as a receiver, what that dynamics like. So they're they're coming down to the last place you know of the game. Now, now mind you receivers were divas right right right? We hold on. I'm gonna a little bit too much. You got a little too much differ your chip over there with that right right right, And so Amari begins to tell the story, said, yeah, we're calling you know, uh double left or double right, which means being the ex receiver, he's on the opposite side

of what they call us. So they called double left, he's on the right. They called ub right. He's on the left. And so as they're calling it and they call the play, he's on the single receiver side. He knows I'm probably gonna get one on coverage. But in the huddle, Ceedee Lamb is trying to get Coop a little bit confused, like, and you called double right right, like I'm supposed to go over there. He's like no, no, no, and kudos a Coop for not for not falling for this.

It was like, no, no, no no, I called double left, which means he sent you know, Amari to the I mean Amark to the other side. And so they get it. Is that a Cooper rush call or is that like the receiver's call. No, no, no no, that's a Cooper rush call. Like he called the formation. Information is double right. That's what the formation is. To make sure and so Ceedee Lamb is now in the huddle and he's saying like, hey, man,

let me get this one. And he's like, ye, hands right, He's like nah, hell he know, like this coming to me. And that it happens so much guys like let let me get this, let me get this. You're like, man, hell no, you're not getting this one. So that happens a lot. That happens a lot. That happens a lot.

But it's just so fun to see the dynamic of those guys of being able to and if you go back and you watch and I don't know if this is when it has happened, and you go back and watch, the overhead camera is showing and you see CD laugh in the huddle like I'm gonna find the clip. I'm gonna go back and find a TV copy. And you see CD Lamb laugh in a huddle and you're like, oh, it's like nineteen this is this is it's a tight game.

The clock is running down. But for them to have that kind of composure and having that much fun in a huddle in a critical situation with your backup quarterback and your left tackle out that the shows you this is a different. This is a different ball ball team, and that confidence by both of them like okay, I want the ball, like not just your number one guy,

right like Cooper Amari. He came in because he was on the sidelines of that handr and he made us like I'm getting back in switch some cases in the past where he han't always done that. So that was nice. He heard he trained up camp whispers. I'm telling you, and see when you got twenty million dollars that you're finna get paid and you hearing these whispers and you ain't just solid the man and everybody's the perception has

changed a little bit. Now he touches you a little bit inside and he's heard the whispers and he's like, you know what her to know her? I still bro he is. And I'm telling you that red zone I talked. But the culture of this football and I know Mike doesn't call plays and all that kind of stuff, but the culture of this football team has changed. This is a football team that is destined for something great. And you gotta give credit to the CEO who was orchestrating this thing on a day to day basis, and that's Mike McCarthy. Yes, Kellen is doing a great job. And I always say that a coach or coaches should be able to win you one or two games. I think

they did that yesterday. I think they did that. And I was impressed that even coming into a game with the backup quarterback who has zero career starts, only had three passing attempts in a real football game, Kellen Moore didn't change up much. You saw them going five wide, they had the Hulk package where they had Lyle Collins

and Connor Williams in the backfield. I mean that shows you that there was a level of preparation that went throughout the week that they were saying, we're gonna do everything we can to give this this kid an opportunity to win this football game. And when you're get in the red zone and you go five wide, like that's some dark type stuff right there. Kevin Moore said that we're gonna lose this game. We're gonna lose this game

because we went down out our way. We're not gonna lose this game trying to do something else that we're not accustomed to doing. So shout out to all those coaches who were able to put together a game plan to go out and get a victory on the road in a hostile environment against a decent football team. What's your backup quarterback? Who is your game ball? Well, I liked the idea of McCarthy. I mean, I thought that

last Minnesota drive he called that time. Come on, Come on, come on, Kurt, tell him, tell him about my boy and this class off the field. He wanted to make sure they were on the field. Yes, he wanted the time for his offense. So, I mean, I thought that was and just so the fans, No, this ain't Mike not the only guy who have kind of coaching blunders.

Zim who's been a long time football coach in this league, called back to back timeouts and took it from a third and sixteen to a third and eleven that Zeke converted and got fifteen yards on it. Had he not called back to back time out, the reftion that never granted him. So I don't want to hear about the refs cheating us because the reftion that never granted him a second time out. But though they did, they said, well we gave it to you to lay a game

on y'all and gave the Cowboys five yards. Yeah, because that would have been a field goal. We might have been overtip. Thing might have been different, but Zeke picked up fifteen yards on that play. So talk about clock management and poor decisions. Zim, who's been a long, long, long, long long time coach in this league, called it back to back time out and cost his team five yards and they converted. Clarity. Clarity, man, I would give Parsons one two. I mean, his best game of the year,

that's the obvious answer. His best game of the year. I'm gonna, man, I'm gonna give it to Randy Gregory. I just think he's got this energy in this like he sacks when you need. Yeah, he's and he's violent, and he's quick, and he's and I think his energy is contagious. Like on on game day when he's having fun, he's joking with the refs like when are you guys gonna throw a flag on them? And they asked him, like for what he was like they finally threw one.

He was like for that, you know, Like he's he's having fun, but he's I mean, just watching him at field level, he's so damn fast man and he changes he changes lanes and like I mean, Michael Parsons obviously, is the another time for freaky Mike. Freaky Mike When when greg Freaky Mike. When when Randy Gregory got that um that that penalty at the end of the game, watch him. He walked back up to him, go back and watching Mike. He walked up to him and he

basically calmed him. He said, you okay, we're gonna need you, gonna make another play. It wasn't like what are you doing, no, no, no, no no no. It was more so like, calm down, go make another play. We're gonna need you my boy. Y'all gonna stop playing with my boy, Freaky Mike man. And then and then in that Saint before that, when the kid jumped outsides on the punt Bradley and I,

he got on him. He wasn't clap in your hand and I ain't trying to be funny when they'll clap your hands when it was gonna be okay, you don't do that. He got on him. So when I saw him handle Gregory, he was firm with him, calming him down. But he had that look like okay, we don't need this. But what you did wasn't you know? It was so so calm down. What I like is Kellen with an end. If I'm right, Yeah, you got with an end. You go. You're doing something that this guy Kurt don't like. Keep

Kurt Daniels, Jesse Holly, Nate Newton And before we get back into the last segment, I know, we we We've had a lot of fun with Jabril Cox on the show the last several weeks, and it just sucks to see somebody that's an up and coming young guy to have an injury. Not sure what it is. It was reported as a nice brain right after the game,

immediately after you Yeah, now there's they're kind of waiting. Yeah, so hopefully he's okay, man, young man CARTHI he has a press conference four I think, so I'm very fun out then, but right, yeah, all right, what next? What do you want to do? You know what? Victory Monday, Let's have Kurt's corner. Kurt, take it away. We are Yeah. I wanted to ask you guys about defensively. They were giving up some chunk plays early on, but a loud one one touchdown and overall had a lot of pressure.

I mean, is that is that by design they're doing that? Is that just players plan? I mean, you like what you're saying from this defense. In that regard, I think the defense have been but don't break defense. It's not a shut you down, shut you out, dominate you tight defense. I think it's it's been but don't break. They're still missing some pieces they had, Like this defense has good players.

It has a great player here and there. There's some young players, there's a there's this cornucopia of a mixture on this defense, and you're trying to still mesh and molded all together to kind of truly figure out what it is. And I think one of the things that they've been able to do because they found themselves on the receiving end of their offense being able to put up a lot of points. And so it's almost like, listen, guys, we just don't we just can't give up a whole

bunch of points. So I think this defense has become a lot what we talked about in at the beginning of the year. I don't need to be top ten, I don't need to be number one, I don't need to be top five. I need to be middle of the road. And the ball is bouncing the way of this defense in years pass Like in years past, the Amari Cooper type thing would have happened the opposite way. It would have been an interception. In years past, the the Anthony Brown getting beat on a double move, he

would have hit him in stride. In years past, the the the tip that Schultz and Connor Williams were like bottling, the round would have landed in the arms of the you know what I'm like, So a lot of stuff that would have happened against the Cowboys are happening for the Cowboys now. And Randy Gregor is coming up with timely sacks, and you know, we know what Diggs were doing up to that game last night coming up with timely interception. So things have just been been going well.

This defensition happens, Huh. It's weird how that happens, where one year it just seems like the ball bounces the other way, and yeah, you're so good teams. I learned that with Jim. Good teams, good things happen a lot of times. It's just weird when you're a good team with a lot of a lot of things happen your way. Because I remember when I first got to the Cops, like all of these plays, I haven't seen them before

nightmarish ways because it was happening us, you know. So one common thing that comes up on our cross talk show on Wednesday nights when we have the alumni players on it. One thing Nat, and I don't know if you've noticed it almost every week in the conversation because now we're talking about this is a good team, they're

going to the playoffs. One common theme is all those guys I always say, to get to the super Bowl and win the Super Bowl, you gotta get lucky, yes, all the way, Like every team that's won the Super Bowl, there's been luck involved on the road to the playoffs. And I think finally you gotta you're seeing a good

enough team that they can overcome the bad stuff. Used to the bad stuff just happened and it killed you, Like now you can overcome it, and then the good stuff stands out more so, did anybody check out how your coach Jimmy Johnson through Everson Walls under the bus in the in the peak, in the no, I didn't hear.

You didn't hear that? They were talking about the Lions had just got blown out by the Eagles and they and they were talking about how like it's like one of the things that I hate is how you just got blown out. But here you are on the field

wanting to exchange jersey with other people. And Jimmy goes when I first took over with the Cowboys, we were one and eight, we had just lost, and he said everything he said he said, Everson Walls was was yucking it up and laughing with somebody know what's called him that coach? You know, we ain't going to the playoffs. And it was like that was the culture that he had come into at that time when it was all about losing. So he here he is, we we're in

the game and we're trying to win the game. We're losing and Everson Walls and chucking it up, you know, on the field. He was like that just drove me crazy. I was like, dang coach. Through Everson Walls and I tweeted Cup. I said, Dann Cup, why why coach threw in the buss like that? He just like he just liked the tweet, but he never wonded back to it, but he caught it. That was Jimmy. Man. I remember that we was walking up when the old Cardinals they

used to be in the other stadium. We was walking off the field, man and uh, I can't think of the great Roy Roy Jones or somebody anyway, he just called a great pass and uh, him and Everson met at the field was walking off with Jimmy saw that and boy, him and Ever just went at it. I'm like, oh boy, they ever be alone. I'm just like wow. Jimmy looked at me here like hey, I ain't even to get you know, collateral damage, you know what I'm saying.

But you know, I mentioned that to mention, like, like again, the culture of this team and Shannon, you have a unique opportunity because you guys do the sounds of the sideline and you guys do other kind of stuff and and this team is it's different. Like I've heard sounds of the sidelines before and I'm like kind of looked at like shut up, like y'all just I don't even mean that, you know, but this group, man, it's it's it's little stuff like Amari Cooper, like it was like

his personality is budding. He's been even like five years. A week we didn't get a paragraph from him, and now he's like, you know, he's talking, he's making jokes. Uh. You know, I love to hear Michael Parsons because he set stuff and he's just like he sets stuff way beyond his years for a guy who's a rookie. You hear the old lineman. They jump on some of the shows on the networks, you know, around Dallas, and you hear them talking about just how tight knit this group is.

It's just something specially, this group is a fun group. They're loving playing football, and you know, at this rate you talk about Super Bowl contenders. I'm not saying that they're the favorite, but I'm saying there in that conversation, you want to know, I recognized after this game that this team is having fun. You know how Zack Martin had on a pair of dunks last night after the game.

Zach usually wears like beat up old true boy tennis shoes and doesn't he had a pair of Jordan's on after the game Nike dunk I think it was high Tops and I was just like, wow, probably compliments of his quarterback. I said, yeah, probably so. And I was like, what's up with this? He goes, you know, I just you know, figured out, you know, quit being wearing old, dirty, rugged tennis shoes. I was like, you're getting in the shoe game, man, and he was like, yeah, you know.

I mean even he Zach's having fun, you know. And it's just and something that was interesting. We were talking before the game when we found out Dak was hurt, like, who's gonna break down the pregame huddle? And you start thinking about it, You're like, well, it's not gonna be Mica because he's a rookie. They're not gonna let him do it. And then is it gonna be Randy? He's not really a raw raw in your face Gallet it

was jay Ron curse JK. He's he's got tea what he's a wild man, dude, He's he's something else on games off the field or out there on the field on the like hyping everybody up, yelling before the game, screaming during the game, like bouncing around and just like the energy, and just like the attitude. He's got attitude like he he's like psycho Like he's like, yeah, I want that guy on my team. But you see just how much I'm not taking shots. I'm really not taking shots.

But you see how how much usually before you take a shot, I'm not taking a shot. No disrespect the Newton size of disrespect. But look at the way this defense is playing. It ain't no names, ain't no ain't no t shirts, ain't no hats. They just showing up to work every single day. And that's what football is. And when you start doing all this other we this, we'd all like, like, that's fake. You're trying. You're you're you're that's fake. You're trying to make something to throw

us off that you ain't really that good. You want us to believe. It's smoking Merris, Because the dudes who come to work and put in the work, I don't need to have a teacher to say who we are. You see it, You see it out there. Most of the dudes who've got nicknames, they didn't get theirself the nickname. Somebody else gave him the nickname because they've seen the work they put in and this defense man, these guys are just Watkins, Bohannah, JK Big, Hamilton, Droves, Jordan Lewis.

Guys are just showing up weekend and week out. They'd a nice tackle on the sideline to keep that guy in from Jordan the game. At the end of the game, Jordan, I want to say this, my friend, thank you for just doing your job and not trying to do nothing more. They're just doing your job. That is so big. People, you understand what I'm talking about. When you just Kurt you do. You do it all the time. You go back into the hold up there in the off You

just do your job, and it's important. Brush Shannon may not think so, but I no, but you craik out great work. You're going to do your job. You craik out great work. You taking shots everybody he can't handle success. Man, you got you. You have three super Bowls. Man, you you're not handling. That's why they ain't let me talking a lot. That's why they ain't give me my own stand before the super Bowl. They I tried. After the first super Bowl, I saw how it went. I think, okay,

we can get to another super Bowl. If we ever do, I want my own person to stand. That's what I told Richard Rich you know, like you know, you don't never know if you get back to the to the next year, were back on, Like, rich we get off the plane. I know they're gonna call me, right, Yeah, we got off the plane. Michael Urban, Troy m it, Charles Hayley, we need you to get off the bus first. I'm like Rich. They they didn't call me Rich. Fix this all right, fellas Kurt. It's always fun after victory.
