Episode description

There’s great discussion going on here today! Do the Cowboys need more talent around Dak Prescott? Or does the quarterback need to just be better? And if so, how does he get better? Does he need a new voice in his ear, a Dak Whisperer? His career may now be at a critical point. It’s time for the Cowboys to help him reach that next level one way or the other.

The following here's a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. Cowboys flowing out of the backfield, they flowing down the sideline. He is hanging with the Boys, presented by Wingstuff Where Flavor gets its Wings. Now your hosts, Jesse Holly, Kurt Daniels and Nate Newton. What's going on across this land? It ain't nothing. And I'm from and not just you know what I'm saying. That's how we do on a Tuesday. Man, that's a lot.

Look at the Tostitos Championship Plaza outside in front of the Fort Center where it is w E t wet, a rainy day here in DFW. You and at the headquarters of your Dallas Cowboys. I hope that you are staying safe on the roads today and we thank you again for always listening in to us. That's Nate Newton, he is Kurt Daniels, I am Jesse Holly. Together we are hanging with the boys, the sports talk equivalent of BREL.

People say it with me, y'all when we speak. And we're back here for another show that's brought to you by Wingstop. Where Flavor gets its wings. Thank you, Um, fellas, you can join us name, Yeah, glad, you can join us name. You were outside holding court, you had ever saying Bill Jones, And you know, I said some things and I don't think them fellas agree with me. You know about our quarterback. And that's all funny, that's all great.

And I believe that everybody has their opinion. And you know I got and I asked over and over and over, how do we fix that. We have to fix that. That is our quarterback. And they say, get better players around him. Yeah, okay, you're you're You're not. You're not gonna always be situated with the best players you I don't care. In this world of athletic sports that's been played on the highest level, you're not as a quarterback. You're not as the star guard of a basketball team.

You're not as a scorer or assist man in soccer. Gonna always have the best talent. But through coaching, through your organization, through put in players in place to understand who they are and what they're supposed to do, you can go far. I've seen it happen time and time again. Now when you say go far, because this is an interesting conversation, and I like this conversation. This is a really good conversation because when you say go far, what

is that? What does the ending destination look like? Because coming into this season, your not say your prediction, but your level of what this season would be for success, I am always will I will die on this hill by myself, and I have no problem doing it. The season is always a failure. The season is always a failure. If you don't bring home the trophy. I will live on that. I will die on that hill by myself. Now, there are lessons that are learned in failure, so you

can extract some good things from failure. But failure, nonetheless, that is the goal that you set out for this season. Now only did you set out for that to be your goal? Relatively speaking, you were well within your reach of getting to that goal. It wasn't as if you were outmatched, you were out like. It wasn't you. There was not some large level of discrepancy or some long some large level of talent gap between you and the team that you were actually facing to get to the goal.

So I asked you again, Nate, when you talk about can go far with what you have in your mind, because I have a different I haven't thinking that. I want to ask you that in your mind, where does that location end? See? First of all, depending on what team you're talking about, we're talking about the Dallas Cowboys. No, no, no. If you're talking about the Dallas Cowboys, yeah, that's the show Dallas cow you're talking about the Dallas Cowboys. You first of all, And I'm saying talking to fans on

a realistic basis. If you're talking super Bowl, well you seven. I guess you can make of anything as you go, because I did not see this team as a super Bowl team. But I saw it as a team that they can get to the second round and if the chips fall right, they can get maybe to the championship game, but no farther. Because number one, we still have a few pieces missing on the offense, and that was the continuity of the offensive line, which showed up in the

second half of this game. Where was our quarterback? Where he was gonna be at this at this point in time, was cdee Lamb once we actually knew that he was the guy that they were gonna be trying? How was his growth period? Now? The tight end I was never happy of it never happy with I was never happy with the tight end, but I liked it. Our running back situation. You asked me at getting of the year, is just a Super Bowl winning defense where they played

lights out. They in the biggest of games. They kind of they kind of showed up and this was a big game that just passed. But if if Michael Gallop and that's why not, next year, my expectations will be different. You got a better offensive line by maturity, you gotta see. You got Michael Gallop back. Uh Ferguson would have been a grown another year. Then you got the other kid that pulled a hamstring behind him and the shot. So I'm looking at a different deal. I'm looking at I'm

looking at a different set of athletes. And them said, now, the only thing that scares me is the defensive coordinator gonna gonna leave. But if if you telling me that the reason we didn't get far as because we didn't have enough offensive talent, that don't add up to me. So that that don't add up to me, because you can't talk Super Bowl, you can't talk NFC Championship game if you if you don't if you don't have a talent, let me let me interject, I'm gonna get We're gonna

get you into the conversation, Kurt. When I look at just the four teams that are in the game right now, Philly, since Kansas City and the nine Ers, and this is this is not me disagreeing with you. It's not me agreeing with you. This is us having an open discussion about the situation. That's that is. Philadelphia said, we saw what Jalen Hurstborg would last year. Cool, no problem, Hey, uh go get a J. Brown. Let's let's go get us. Let's go trade for see, because we drafted a bunch

of these guys and it didn't it didn't quite work. Okay, w got a J. Brown, went got guys defensively in the draft. Said we're gonna, We're gon We're gonna put this thing together. We see what we need to fix, see what we need to fix the sevens forty nine us right, They said, Okay, well we got Deebo, we got Brendon and I yuk. We got some things happening to defensively, but there's a go get Christian McCaffrey. We're gonna trade to go get Christian McCaffrey. We need that

dynamic player. We drafted George Kiltle, and we drafted Deebo Samuels, and we got some things there, but we're gonna go get I need that piece. They went and got another piece, right Kansas City says, well, we're gonna let Tyreek Hill go see you. But we believe in our dynamics so good in our quarterback in the play calling. They just said, you know, we'll get you Smith Schuster, and we're gonna get a bunch of company four three guys. We're gonna get Cadarius Tony. We're gonna get a bunch of four

three running guys. And we feel like what we do we can plug and play a lot of these guys. So they went got some talented pieces. They went and drafted Procheco out a Rutger. They went and got some other running back, Ronald Jones. I mean they went and got pieces to go around Travis Kelsey in company. And then, last but not least, the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati Bengals spent

over one hundred million dollars on the restructure. In their offer to line, say what you want about how that happens and how that stuff goes but most people Tampa Bay, they went and got Tom Brady when they wanted to

upgrade their town. We saw what the RAM did. So I'm saying is I am not on the defense of Dak Prescott, but I do think there is something to be said in today's NFL where if you're going to truly compete, And this goes back to was kind of almost an indictment on Jerry Jones Coop who came on our Flactive station probably a year ago in the office and it said I would pay you would be embarrassed and mint I would pay for to win a Super Bowl.

And all he did with this team was make this team less than by letting Themari Cooper go and not signing any free agents of significance when you had guys who you could have signed, Jarvis Landry and not Ti. I'm times saying those guys would have been a huge impact. But there were players that were out there before we got to the nitty gritty of the season that we

could have signed that could have helped us. But we pitched all in on this Odell Beckham thing that I knew what never happened, and then we settled for a guy like t Y Hilton. You gambled on Michael Gallup coming back off of ACL injury when history says, you know, talking to your boy yesterday moves Johnston. History says, unless you're Adrian Peterson, you need about a full year to come back from an ACL injury. You dropped the jail Toba in the third round. Who did not pan out

for you? Dennis Houston, who everybody rapped about in training camp, did not work out for you. James Washington, who you thought you were gonna bring in was gonna be a case, did not work out for you. So I'm saying, yes, you bring some pieces in, but you didn't bring any pieces in of significance, and you gambled on your quarterback being able to get you over the case when he's not the guy that we talked about, saying, I hear

what you're saying. So and my question I opposed to everybody, and I posed it to those two guys on the last show mix shots. So what you're saying is you gotta go out without a doubt, expecially if you're saying super Bowl, you gotta go out without a doubt. And you gotta either in free agency are through the draft, get a ready yes, sure file, Yes, wide receiver, Yes are tight end yes, Okay, because one thing, one thing that's gonna be even more is he got forty nine

million dollars coming next year. So if you don't go out and get this sure fight deal, you're gonna see more of the same. Absolutely, if I'm reading you right, I'm not sure that a lot of people, and I'm probably following this too, it are saying that Dak is what he is and they got to raise up the team around him. But it sounds like you're saying Dak can still improve. Yes you can. You think so he can want him too, or you think he can't still reach that level. No, I've always said this right here

from day one, and I'll walk you through it. When he first got here and he was throwing the ball on the field, I heard a lot of players say, it's something to this kid. So when Tony got hurt, the first guy was saying, hey, you knew Ddy just played this young guy, and let's see what happened. Then he came out and he protected the ball. Now, whether that was through scheme or whether he was just had a natural ability to protect the ball, he did that for us first two years. Then they came with this

wide receiver by committee. And the first thing I said was two things I said was you know what, they gotta get this kids some talent, because if you give him talent, he's gonna do what's necessary. And I saw right he digested. But with that, how long will it be before he can put us in the best play? So I asked that for a couple of years. Now all of a sudden will I don't know what happened

in these last and a half years where now? Uh, the aggressive the aggressive passive whatever, whatever it is, the arrogant passing. Okay, this is what you better understand. And whether you like it or not, this is what it is. When your quarterback counts for more than a third of your salary cap he better be that. He better not, you guess, and you hope he better be that, because

who can you sig? And And this is this is why having success in those early windows, the Joe Burrow window right uh, the the I mean the Niners are having success right now Mahome's windows. I mean they had in those windows because window, because you're going to jo Jayla Hurst window. Ye, you're able to spend no dollars because your star quarterback is not eating up so much

of your salary cap. The problem is, and this is why I talk about and people about windows closing, because when you get to that point, yes, when you gotta pay the guy's money, and if he's going to be your starting quarterback, forty million is no longer even that, ain't You ain't knocking on forty million dollars no more the numbers about yesterday's price. It's not today's price. It's going up. You lose the ability to now have that, to have the flexibility of signing so many different guys

in talent. So yes to your point, when your quarterback begins to have that type of uh, eating up that type of salary, you you better hope he is who you hope he is. You can. If not, you're gonna be facing this situation that we're sitting in right now. Because let let no bones about it, no bones about it. That is not in the conversation. And I and I've

I've still on that for many years. This is this and like I tell people, if you're not gonna gonna help him by number one, going out getting these players y'all talking about are having a ear. I don't care if it's Kellen Mark with a stronger r. I don't care if it's a quarterback coach with a stronger earror to help him through this right here, because six games where you have double double interceptions, you have eight, nine, ten games where you have at least one interception. No,

you have to help this kid now. You either help him about sitting him down, breaking this down, going through it, and making sure that all of these lesser talented people all of a sudden that and and if we're all here, please, I don't want to hear about how good and wide receiver is, how this guy is, and how that guy is.

Like we talked that coming into not you, but I'm talking to majority of the people, how good this guy is and how good that guy is, and how good Now we get to the end of the year and this thing explode on us and now as we need talent. No, I mean, I'm not going for that, right. You can't tell me that, bro, You can't. I know, I know

sports is fluent, but I ain't a fool there. Then there are certain reasons why I personally don't listen to what everyone has to say about sometimes wow, because I just know people just don't all the time know how to evaluate players or what they're even actually looking for. But until Dak Prescott's point, when you get to that level year seven, you get the big money, and I don't care what anyone says. They listen, they hear that hears that listens, he hears what the show says, he's

hears what how he's not in that category? Got enough ears to hear. Yeah, And if and if he ain't hearing it, it's enough folks in this circle that's bringing it back to him, bringing it right back to the dinner table, right, and he hears you're not in that category. You're not in the category of the Boroughs, the Mahomes, the Allens, that category. You're not in that Aaron Rodgers category.

And so what sometimes happens, sometimes consciously sometimes unconscious sleep, you beginning to say to yourself, in order to be in that conversation, I have to play a certain way. And I think that's a lot of it led to that, And he said it to himself like sometimes I was just getting a little bit too aggress to trying to get everything back in throwing the ball because you started wanting to be in the conversation of those other guys. This is a great conversation. This is a great conversation.

This is a fantastic conversation. Let's go to break, Let's get a let's get a drinking water. Stop, let's regroup. You're not getting food. This is not the food. No, this is hanging with the boys. Yeah, this ain't gonna get the real So let's take us go to break, let's come back, Let's continue this conversation. Kurt, we want you in this conversation. We want you, We want your thoughts and your viewpoints and this all of this. If you're not listening to this show via YouTube, keeping up

the number one show on the Dallas Cowboys Network. I got to read already, but I'm on that. This is some good stuff. This is what you come for right here. You come to here, hanging with the Rams today. Now I ain't even drafted the RAM. Now I can't wait. I can't win a blue shout out. That's my school. Let's go to well, we come right back to finish this conversation. Add to it, this is hanging with be right back. I'm Dak Prescott quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys.

As we continue to have a very very amazing discussion that started out in the hallway with Naton and a couple of others, and I'm glad that he opened up and brought it in here to us because the conversation is about Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys on if this quarterback needs more talent? Is it coaching? Is it talent? Or is he not living up to being the franchise quarterback?

Is being one of the top ten twelve quarterbacks in the National Football League, Kurt, I want to get your thoughts in here on this is the quarterback that is

thekla Raine Prescott. Is this one of the guys who said, you know what he does need more talent, or even when he had talent on the football team, when he had you know, an all Pro receiver and a'm Aar Cooper and an upcoming guy a Cede Lamb and a good offensive line in the running game and all these other things that he's had before, and it still kind of came up a little bit short in the end goal. I think Dak is a top ten quarterback in this league.

I mean, he may even be outside of the top five among quarterbacks, but he just has he not reached that level yet. The Mahomes, the Bradies, the Rogers, he hasn't reached that level yet where he can carry the talent around him, I don't think. And so to Nate's point, Well, my belief then is you've got to find a way like we saw San Francisco do. Like you mentioned, we saw the Eagles. Dude, like he said, Cowboys haven't really

done that for him. They talked about making it DAC friendly, but how much have they really sold out to do that? And so how are you going to You can restructure his trying contract, you can finagle things around him, maybe bring some more talent in. But to Nate's point, you're saying Dak himself has to get better. How do you do that? I mean, he's twenty thirty, gonna be thirty years old, he's played seven seasons. How do you change him and make him? Help him reach that next level

with the talent he has? Now, I guess this is what I ask people. This is what I ask people. You know we this is this is why. Now you see, this is what I tell people. The homernd I can come up here and raw ra folks to death. I can give you a million reasons of fantasy. But when I'm talking real people, I'm talking from a super Bowl winning standpoint. Hold hold hold on, yeah, yeah, yeah, hold on. I love when they get sassy. Hold on, let me go, Broyeah No no, no, no, I need I need to go. Uh.

This is this is what's so amazing. All you're coming from from a from a super Bowl. I've seen how three I've seen how I've seen how a team has been built. Okay, Troy Aikman would have decent years, but go back and check your records. When we got in the playoffs, Troy played well. He understood his importance and how to raise up. Now you know they don't have the talent we had, and so I'm not going there with you. But I would go to a young Tom Brady.

I would go to a young and now now we ain't talking about seven super Bowls, lady, I'm talking about a young Tom Brady when his coaches coached him, when he threw an interception when he came to the sideline and they talked about it. Back then, we had polar rois. When you're in there, slide them all the way down from the box on a wire, and then you look at the polar rois and the snapshots and you would see and you would learn, and you would be coached.

As the game go on, you you would understand the magnitude of what just happened when you threw that first interception, and we can't have the second one. See this, This is what you cannot do. You cannot begin every year with high hopes and high expectations only to end and say, well, we didn't have the talent. Who are you talking to?

Who you said? I don't understand though. What I mean, what I'm trying to say is this right here, You're either gonna help this kid and continue to coach him because it's Sarah cap HiT's too big for you to go out and for them to go out and get a star player. Can they afford it? Yes, I'm not spending your money, so you don't if you don't have the talent at the beginning of the year, don't we need to talk about that? Hey, don't we need like we did for defense? Like it's hand is enough? I mean, on,

wasn't that big kid uh Sue out there? And won't this guy you know what I'm saying, We didn't talk about that. So because I remember you were saying that. He was saying it. We're playing for next year. He was saying it, And I've already stated it wasn't Jesse. There's people on other shows you say, don't listen to the shows, but we are only one show. Yes we leave the league and and and and and in YouTube,

but you can't continue as a quarterback. As a quarterback, what you try to do during the year is you try to play well and you try to play consistent as a quarterback. When the playoffs come, you have to raise your game. Your game has to be raised by number one, by better preparation, by number two. You looking at the film and decide, Okay, when I get this, look, this is what I'm gonna do. When I get that. Look, this is what I'm gonna do. You tell your receivers,

Hey man, you need to be here. I don't care how you get there. This is where you need to be. But you cannot tell me that CD Lamb was wrong for running this route and it had a dude underneath and a dude over top and you threw it to him. You can't tell me that with cdee Lamb fault. I want you to explain that, and see I will ask any man, woman, our child. Okay, if you're not gonna get the talent, don't you think you need to have somebody in here to help this kid. That's all I'm asking.

So you need you're you're you gotta have one or the other. You want a new coach? I want to say somebody, yeah that can help him, because you don't. You don't have six games where you throw multiple multiple interceptions, and especially if you don't have a talent, you can't throw no interceptions. You got to almost play perfect, like like like we say, were asking our defense. We asked our defense to play perfect against the All Star teams Sunday,

that's not fair. We asked our defense and they almost pitched a shout out against the team. Yeah. So my question is, and the great Randy Galloway said all the time, at the end of the day, it's gonna come down to your quarterback. The four quarterbacks that are left are not making grave errors. Fellas. Now, y'all can take it

how you want. And I'm talking about winning football. I think this last weekend, every team that had an interception loss and every team that didn't want so again, but I don't I mean, and a coach, those are like, how do you coach dak to not throw it to Ceedee Lamb and he's clearly covered or you know some of these? I mean, it's you can coach. I mean you can heaven can't you. You can coach players out of becoming turnover pro And the example, Yeah, I go

to it. I go to Brian day Ball. I look at what Brian day Ball did with Josh Allen and Buffalo, where he was all the talent in the world. Was just so erratic. He was just so erratic. He just it was all over the place. Right then he comes in and all of a sudden, Now there got Buffalo going. Daniel Jones led the National Football League in turnovers, not interceptions, in turnovers, between interceptions and fumbling football. He was Numero uno in the National Football League. Do you know how

many interceptions he had this year? Five? Nice? And he played the entire season and got a team with no talent. I mean, rich blowed this up this year, gonna blow this up. Richie James and Slayton. This was the number one guy, you know, Kenny Gallady, who's making seventy it was seventy million dollars contract. Dude didn't play. They benched him. It was Richie James, it was Slayton there with some guys we didn't know, right, Five interceptions, five from a

guy who led. The only thing that changed Brian day Ball. That was the only thing to change. The team got less talent the Friday day Ball stepped in and all of a sudden, that that that changed. I look at guys like Mike McDaniels, who when when when when? When Tua was in Miami, he wasn't the saying people were saying, Didue gonna out in the league in the year. Yeah, And unfortunately the concussions came. But before that you were

talking about him being in the MVP conversation. But yeah, the last year have been the bus but this year being an NBP Cup, Sir, what changed? Yeah? Yes, he got Tyreek Hill, but got Mike m Daniels, got a coach in there that was able to take him from a place of hey, this is this is you know, I look at Matthew Stafford, all the years he had

Detroit could never get in. He has some talent to teach, that has some talent the players around him, gets with a coach to understand how to utilize his talent and the talent around him. Where's the ring? What do you think about? David Moore had a story today's tell Us Morning News about maybe it's time that Dak was uncomfortable. He's been too comfortable now Kellen Moore, like, we've you said, I mean, he's basically saying, now, I didn't, but you

know what, we came, came a former teammate. You know, they're almost peered. I think they're only like three or four years difference in age, that sort of thing. They will they won't call me and ask me either. But he almost put it, like is it McCarthy that needs to bring make him uncomfortable, whether that's him taking over and putting more pressure on him like Dab Dab or blow his name Dabel did in New York, or do they need an offensive coordinator where somebody can come in

and stir the pot a little bit there. Well, what we'll do, We'll let this simmer. We'll let it simmer. Great question. When we come back from the break, we'll answer the question. Does Dak Prescott need more pressure put on him or more attention to detail from his coaching, more something to push him from his comfort zone um from the either the head coach of the office supporting that he's currently has. We'll think about that. With a break, we'll come back. We'll have an answer for you. This

is hang with the boys. Stay right here with us. We'll be right back. Hey, Cowboys fans, ready to spice up your next watch party? Bring Yokiero guacamole and be the game day hero. We're at that junction of the season where now we could take a step back, there's no other games that we're looking at, and you go back and you recap the season, and you have to be critical of a football team who you know lost in the division around by doing some of the same things that we've seen them do year in and year out, season in and season out, and there has been no adjustment to it, a bunch of promises, a bunch of I'll never do it again, we got another one,

and a bunch of next year we'll correct it, and we find ourselves for the twenty seventh year in a row telling ourselves And that's and that's finding well with me. But the issue is the issue is, uh, you have to reach this kid somehow. Number one option, go out and over go out and spin a draft number two option.

You can't. You got a coach him. And that's the question at on the table right now for Dak Prescott is this is this a kid who after finishing year seven, this is year seven for Dak Prescott, We're pasted the whole He's learned year seven you're you're, you're in, you're you are who you are, right, And so now we begin to ask the questions that ain't from necessary to true. The kid from the Seahawks is better. Okay, okay, Gino Smith, We'll go Geno Smith. Just no. It's a perfect segue.

It's a perfect set because now we ask the question when you see guys like Geno Smith leave a situation that he was drafted with the New York Jets and bounced around for a little while, and then he finally got with a coach who understood his strengths, his weaknesses, his talents, and then they begin to work within the realms of that. And that is the question on the table right now in this segment of Dak Prescott. Does there need to be a different voice, a stronger voice.

It doesn't have to be a stronger voice, because because sometimes it's the voice that just hits home greater than you. It's I go back to the theory of when you would tell Trey right man, dude, no no no no, no, no, no, no no, and he wouldn't listen, and then there was another voice who would come in and tell try to do the same exact thing. Yeah, and it hit So is this the so who is going to be the proverbial switch that we go out and pick off the tree outside in front of the off the off the tree,

off the bush, and bring back in the house. That's going to correct the wrongs that's become of Dak Prescott. Does he need a new offensive coordinator? Can a I mean Doug Nestmeyer's contract is up and quarterbacks coach? Can he Can a new quarterbacks coach make a difference? Or does it need to come from higher up? Does it need to come from the offensive coordinator, a new offensive coordinator or McCarthy getting more easy or something? I mean,

this this the group that Jerry has created. And I say Jerry because Mike McCarthy wasn't able to come in and either be the offensive coordinator or choosing offensive coordinator. He had one in waiting for him. It was kind of almost, hey, this comes with the house. Okay, this this puppy comes along with this house. You want this house, You're taking this puppy. And so he's had to kind of almost deal in that of this has never been

my pick. I'm really on the outside looking in because I can say what I want all week but during the games and stuff worth happening. I'm not over there with Dak. Kellen Moore's over there with Dak. No smart is over there with Dak. So there needs to be a voice that is strong enough and that, um what is it? Perverberates how you said, reverberates. Reverberates through the

mind of Dak Prescott. We don't need that here, right, reverberates through the mind, body, and soul of Dak Prescott to get him to understand what it is he needs to be seen, yea, and clearly that that's whatever's being taught has fallen on deaf ears because see weekend and week out we turn things about. I'm glad we all hill understand and we're smart enough. At the beginning of the year, I think four or five games in where Cede Lamb a Dak thought Cede Lamb was gonna cross

the face of the safety. Okay, we saw that, and all normal normal football heads. Okay, all right, look confusion. Now, then we saw where the ball popped up on on on eighty five. Okay, all right, mistakes happened, what's happened? But now now let me let me get this the receiver. This is why receiver. You got me, Christ you got me. Chris is on me. This is the receiver right here. Segot standing right here, segot standing right here, and you throwing the ball. He's not covered? Is he not? Is

he covered? I'm asking you, quarterback? Yeah, okay, why would you through it? That's the question, isn't it? So I'm wrong? This guy he ain't good enough to get open. No, he's Cede Lamb and he ain't open. But you got Hilton over there running wide open. Now, don't don't don't do this. Let's don't make this hard. Get somebody in here to help this kid. Offensive coordinator. I don't know whether the offensive coordinator, whether it's a quarterbacks coach, whether

it's a new head coach. I'm saying, if you got forty nine million dollars, you're gonna get his kid next year. Don't you think you ought to help him? Now? In the other option, it could be one A or one B. Are you go out and get that great talent. So now everybody has to do cannot cover Ceedee Lamb, double cover him. You get a better tight end where he can take up that slack. So now you do it.

Either how you either way you want to do it, but we can't go through another year and at the end of the year saying we need a new coach, we need a new voice. We didn't have enough talent. Come on, man, what if come on now that that that ain't fair? What if you're forty million dollars quarterback, the guy you put all this investment in, who is you know you're building the team around, says I want the same people here I want you don't get a say you don't think you don't got to say you

don't do What if you didn't have a disgruntled quarterback? Okay, well you got Denver and you got the Cardinals. But do you think he's gonna have a say in this or should he? You got why would you pay Will McClay what? See? This is the problem. You know some quarterbacks get that say because they have earned that. Say. You got to earn the right to for somebody to come say, hey, man, how do you like this guy?

How do you like that guy? You know, because the money is too tight in today's sara, too tight for for a guy you like. That's that'd be my concern, though it is again and that maybe hasn't earned that right on the field, but he's gonna say, I have forty million dollars worth of rights here, and if I want Kellen Moore than you know you're gonna ask me who I want? What I think of this guy? What I think of that guy? I want Kellen Moore? What if? What if that's this case? Now? I don't think they're

gonna ask. I think they're gonna go out if they go out and get someone. If they go out, well, but what if that fixes problems? I'm not counting the kid out. What if he fix this problem in itself? What if he go and really get into his film work, like you said, you're gonna do. What if he do fix his own problem? You know, I think, like you said earlier, that's hard to do or but yeah, the thing is, I think even that's gonna require a coach.

Yeah that's gonna work. Like because you know, news flash, fans as as great and as talented and as amazing that we see these athletes are that we are um that Nate was and as like that was, we live to be told what to do, to be critiqued. I think, great player that you're able to take that. But everybody has a trainer, everybody has a like there's like there's not one person's out there by himself putting his workouts together.

So even if that is going to sit in the film room and correct itself, there's gonna be still gonna be the need. It's still gonna be the need of someone. And I don't even like because it's human nature and we can all be critical of ourselves, even the harshes of personal critics, but there's still this thing that's in your mind that you can watch film. You can go, yeah,

that was a bad throw. But if I get a little bit better protection, I could probably squeeze one in there, Like you need that person sitting next to you to go, No, that's a bad throw, and you should not do that again. That's a bad throw and you shouldn't. I don't care what you think it is. It's a bad throw and you should not do it again. That's the part that you need, you you, because we're always going to find a way, you figure out a way for ourselves, even

in the evaluation process of justifying some things. But again, that that is going to be needed. It's all the great ones have it, all the great ones are able to sit down with their trainers and their coaches and someone to help evaluate them from a from an unbiased perspective. And those who take on that coaching and take that that critique, that criticism are the ones who are able

to evolve and be better. Those who shy away from it and don't want any parts of it, continue to do the same things over and over and over again expect any different results. They are crazy fools and it will eventually cost you a job. Yeah. So yeah, all right, fellas, who that was good fixed? Yeah? Yeah, But one thing they gonna know from this show here today, fellas, is don't play both ends of the stick. Yeah. One thing about all of our parents, the ones that stuck with

us to thick and thin. Not my dad, Yeah, our parents, you have, you have grandmother, mother, somebody stuck somebody ever stuck with you, whatever, somebody stuck with you, whoever you want to make give that credit. Yeah, it came up. It comes a point where they ain't gonna let you ride in the middle. They're gonna make you make a decision.

Dak Is at that point, that is, at that point you either go out and sell the house to get this kid better talent around him so they can spread everything out and keep it spread out, and pray to Gods you don't run into a dan Quinn, you know, like dfour the Niners did. And are you get somebody to help him? That the voice, whatever, whoever voice it is, that he will listen to voice, because do you want to go through another year like this? Do you want

to go through another year like this? And I suggest every other show start looking at the talent in the summertime and don't give it and don't give it god like talent and to the end of the season. All right, all right, that'll do it for us. Before I want to say Happy birthday to my baby brother Joe. What's his name? Joe? What? Joe Holli? Joe Holli? How they come up with Joe? Joseph Holly?
