guess you ain't going to Mexico. Now you're like, oh, oh no, I ain't canceling the flight yet, but things are looking up. Did you pay for the insurance just in case you have to change the flight? No? Because the thing is well, it's on Southwest, so if I have to change it, I can do it for free. So I actually haven't. I haven't book to flight yet. I do. three flights, man. I tell you what. Even though it was the forty nine ers, it's hard to beat a team like that in the NFL. Who they whipped them? Man? You know they did. They gave me my wishes? What's what were those? Go on the road? Defensively play solid. I prefer dominant special teams play solid, and I mean that by not Jeff, by not hurting your team, are getting the turn over and offensively run the ball. That you hear me? People like me you saying that we's

the truth of the teams that does that wins? Well, they say all three phases of the game. Well yeah, but you have to own the road. You have to be a little more dominant. What travels better than anything? Defense? They Oh my god, I'm learning. You teach him? Man. Wow, it only took seven weeks, but I learned something finally on the show. Wow, Hey Kurt, how you feel? Man? Good? Was it easier? Did you? Did you go to the game? No? No, Why do the game recap and stuff from here? Man?

I was pulling double duty. I didn't get a cell signal on the field, so every single time I would get some pictures and I would go run back in the tunnel to put something out, something good would happen. So I had a bad day photography wise, and I had a bad day social media wise. And I didn't even get to watch a whole lot of the game because I was back and forth so much. What let's start with you, Kurt. What what jumped out at you

that looked different this week? Didn't have I think the offense against forty nine ers, but it's it's clicking and starting to click. I mean, I think we saw the zeke. We've been waiting to see you in some way. That seventy two yards run down on the pass down the sideline. I mean that was go back and watch that. And if you say, and this is what you should remember is he broke, got a good block from Martin the president. Then when he broke, it was four or five guys

he got. He got even with him, They had good angles on him. He just stopped and ran right by me and when he broke to the outside, I swung around. I wonder what was scared of him that second year? Yeah, all me, I swung around and I was blocked and I couldn't see what happened. All of a sudden that a gun eye camera both okay, and all of a sudden you hear the crowd and I'm like, oh, okay, he must got seven eight yards. All of a sudden, here he comes about four or five dudes. Forty nine

is right behind him trying to catch up. He just yeah, man, wow, oh man, that was big. Anything else, Kurt, that just grabbed y'at man that you like? Well, I mean I thought the defense held their own. Um. Having Sean Lee out there and Anthony Hitchings I think made a big difference. Um. I mean they kind of made him one dimensional defensive line too. Yeah. Yeah, they put a lot of pressure on him and they had they made him one dimensional, which always, as you said, always helps. Um. But that

was nice. I mean that's something you hope they can build on. Yeah, what'd you see with Sean Lee and Hitchings back in there? Wood? Let me let me tell you what I saw that really made me feel good. I heard him more on the radio. They stopped us on the first drive. Come back our boy Cavan phrase, you get that ball out. Then then Woods get to you know, I'm like these our guys have been on the show. I'm like wow, wow. And then we go and score. Then our defense come back and get them

off the field again. Then our defense came back and we scored and it's fourteens up and now here they come again. Mark's Lawrence man did what he did. And see plays like that, stuff like that when you're on the road. What did our offense have to do with that? That was special teams in defense, and our offense benefited and in turn, our offense took us the rest of

the way. And that's what I try to tell people is on the road, you have to have some similars or defense, especially earlier, to try to set a tone. And they tried to set a tone by giving up, but didn't they give us the ball first. They deferred. They wanted to come, and so they said, our defense, it's gonna stop their offense. They trying to build momentum anyway they can, and we took it away from them. Yep. And we talked before you don't really have any playmakers

on the defensive side of the ball. But this game, you know, d Laws turned into a playmaker. Yes, David Irving's starting to turn into a play Yes, he's playing to play with some consistency. And if you play consistent, just his body type demand that he'll make plays. Even his just batting down balls, right, his body type is going to say, you know, wow, Tyron Crawford starting to look like he feels a little bit better. Guess yeah, yes, and Tim was dropped out at you balls, man, I

liked seeing even though and I was. This was the other part of that is now it looks like you might start having some playmakers on special teams. But those special teams guys are some of the young guys we've

been talking about playing in the secondary. You could get one of them to figure it out and step up and be around the ball and fly around the ball and calls turnovers, and you know you got a solid defense if you just get one of these guys to step up and really get after it and see, you know, unlike the Giants game, you know where I just like, you know what, I know, it's too earlier in the season. These guys has had success now as a young group led by shun Lee and Hitchens. Now you can see

through the competition. I mean, Heath didn't tackle well, you know, he missed a few tackles. But it's it'll get better because now they're letting, letting these other guys play a little bit, you know, so defensive line, the rotation, I think it's set. All they gotta do now is make sure you're in the proper gap. Rush from the where you're supposed to rush, from deep run, defense where you're supposed to be at. If you where you're supposed to be at, you can make some things happen. You will

get better and better. You won't get worse and worse. Now, granted, we're gonna play two or three nice offenses, but these kids and these other gentlemen ain't gonna get I think they'll get better. Now, they're gonna get smashed, but they're gonna get better. Tell you what else I like. It wasn't a big part of the game, and it was kind of in mop up duty. But Rod Smith, you've been saying all year that one run he had that

was nice. But somebody came with some logic man that blew me away on that right there, the beard, because I got some names for you. What it would you like to be called? Whatever you want to sweetheart, bab No, I'm not doing all that. I'm not telling me John little sexy. You could be big sexy. I'll be a little se Look at what wis, y'all? Was he? But this is somebody. I heard a guy on radio and

it was it made so much sense. We cannot make Rod at this time the number two running back because he does at least sixteen special teams plays a game. So if he didn't number two guy, you gotta take Let's say, say something happened to Zeke for a minute, and I ain't something suspension I'm talking about. Just say something happened and he had to come out of the game,

you know, and he is our feature back. Man. What you do with the special team plays because as much as we like to, I hate special teams as the world and special teams is one of the phases. Well guess what, Trump's that a regular position on the regular details office teams. So you know that's something to think about. Yeah, you know what, young guy gonna step up, you know, because let's say, you know some happened to Zeke, So Aftermars is the next guy. My man ain't playing McFadden

he did it all year, you know. And I don't care what nobody to say. Unless you're coming back from injury, you just ain't the same guy. Unless you just a beast workout guy. When you ain't playing, you know, you spend four days a week just you know, hitting it hard as you can to kind of simulate some type of game. Have you Have you heard anything on why McFadden hasn't seen the field once? No, no, no, and stuff like that. I don't try to figure out, you know. Now,

I try to figure out why Charleston one plan. I'll try to figure out what happened to Tap before he got things that were guys UH should be playing well. I have to trust and the coaches on McFadden that they feel best suited with Mars. Now we may we may see the breakaway ability of McFadden well, but for some reason they want Mars he he fits better as

the second running back. I don't argue with that, but I will argue when it's a young guy draft pick and we and we had in the position that he's at his not doing that Mars wasn't doing it, I'd be like, hey, man, what the world? Right? You know what? What? So Dementre Moore was inactive this week, so that means Taco, we've been ben some mayle wires were really freedom up. Yeah. Okay,

who did I say dem? Yeah? Yeah, you're right now about But I think what made him really have to get on the fields when they did bens because I'm gonna tell you something that he played. Could played thirty seven, which is fifty Who is that great a man? Played? What thirty two? Uh? Jalen? Yeah? And and what that's about forty eight? Yeah? So everything fell in place this week and we would have one or two games a

year when I played. When we say, man, this team got the perfect ingredients to everything to solve everyone in our problems. And that's what the forty nines was. They was they had the perfect ingredients that we've been mixing in the pot and they and they served all out. Uh you know what we needed to work on. So we need to work on our run run defense. We need to get out of the past a little bit better, you know, we need to get from turnovers. They served

all purposes, five sacks, by five different guys. Yeah, it was nice, yea very nice. I thought Staley might give him. Look, I mean that sack Lawrence had he stayed. He dubbed

tapped in. He dubbed a tapped in. Man. What's that mean when when you came and you you you know you gotta put his hands out there dump but tapped him and and ran buying man, and then you know your boy during the game, And I asked brought us about it because because I asked him to scout Charles Charging did a nice spin move and was spending sack the quarterback and fell on the ground and he threw a forty five yard pass to the kid from Texas. Uh, I can't think of a good one. Good one. Yeah,

could have got there. He got there, he said, he brought us, said he had him, man, but he just he fell on the grounds like his feet got too big. But is he is he getting better? Is he making He said that the effort was there. And see that's what I saw coming out of training camp. His effort every week was there. And that's what you kept him

and said, his effort is there. Now I'll used to learning techniques, learning techniques, you know, your effort is there, but I guess his effort fell off, you know, right for the training camp was over. You heard about him in training it was like he did this right and did this right. Yeah, he could never quite get it all together. Yeah, that's where he's trying to get two now and take all those little elements, all that technique.

He spent too much. Start with all that spending. It's NFL and you said it might a defensive end sometimes it takes a year. Man sikes a year. But he has to be planning. Yeah, you don't want him not planning. He has to be like, you know, thirty snaps, twenty five snaps a game. That's that's good, that's good, you know, but five fifteen Oh nah nah? What what was the snap count on Hitchens and yeah, um Lee oh Hitchens and Lee Um Jalen you said played about forty eight percent. Yeah,

that did. The line is pretty even. I mean Irving played thirty six snaps, Charlton thirty seven, us Ash played twenty seven snaps an active all year, you know, um Sean Lee played forty nine snaps, which is seventy four percent. And where did Hitchings go? Because Hitchens led the team with tackles. Hitchens uh forty one snaps for sixty two percent. Okay, and he led the team with tackles with about Wilson? Did he did he see well? Damiel Wilson eighteen snaps?

Got a sack on one of those eighteen Yeah. Wow, I guess they were he comes out on their nicola. Yeah. So uh Um Hitchins had eight tackles, Byron Jones had five, and your place kicker Jeff Heath had six. I think that's as excited as the team got the whole day was whenever he made that. I think so when he made that extra point a shock and all there and

they were amazed. So yeah, So for those of you that didn't watch the game, Uh, Dan Bailey hurt his but I think they're seeing his groin and uh, that's one of those things that you can't mess with. That that's a that's a soft tissue injury that if you you gotta let it completely heal or it's gonna keep coming back. It's almost like it's like a hamstring if you try to push it too hard and you kind of need your groin area if you're gonna kick a football all cross the body sideways and side foot or

whatever they called it. So they had to put in our backup kicker, which is Jeff Heath. So I didn't even know Bailey was hurt until they're up twenty to three and they're going for two, and I'm like, wait a minute, Yeah, nobody knew does the Does the the sheet say when it's twenty to three you go for two. I'm like, that doesn't make a lot of sense. They should be kicking the extra point. And then I walked by the bench and I saw Dan was sitting on the trainer table and I was like, oh oh, and

then uh yep. Then the next extra point was so he was what two for three on extra point when when you think about it, you say, oh, it's just an extra point. That's a what thirty five yard field goal is what that is? And he made two or three. It was funny. Jason Witton was on a local radio station here just a little bit ago, and he said,

they didn't even know they scored that touchdown. They all started looking at what's happening to so backs like we're going for two and Jason was like, we didn't have any idea why we're going for two. You know, he was like, am I missing something here? And it turned out that's when they didn't found out Bailey couldn't go. And I heard that Heath said after the game was one little kind of short kick that he kicked like to the numbers at about the five yard line. They

were like, did you try to do that? And he was like, no, I was just kicking it as far as I could. I didn't know what direction it was going in. So y'all, look you look, they got to bring a kicker in this week and look at him, right, Yeah, man, they're gonna bring two or three m and then the last guy, some Hall of Hill or somebody. We had a guy in training camp Hill. You know yet it last the Aussie. Yeah, I would think he's got to be one of the guys. Yeah. Wow, hopefully with Dan

won't be out too long. That's a he's so key, he's such a you know, you know what you got with him? We got risk, he we got Kansas City, we got I'm in a dilemma tonight, beat goes on and on. I mean, I need some help. Oh just let watch the game, enjoy it. Well, here's the here's the problems beat him. Here's the week, here's the problem. Eagles Redskins tonight on Monday night football. I have my night all mapped out. I'm going to the gym after where it was going to get a little run in

I think they got the defensive guys in there they want and who's trying to show progress and we don't know

what the defense is. I'm just saying they got the guys in there that they want in there, you know, you know Barn a few of the young secondary guys being healthy, you know, so I'm I'm ready, Man's let's see where we go from here. When you when they deactivate guys like Benson Mayo, he's he's been contributing on defense, and then dementtre Moore, they you know, as soon as he was available, he's been active every game that since

he came back from suspension. Or there's certain teams that they'll deactivate certain guys because of the way they match up, or is it something else, yeah whatever, every nine. Just the matchups, just the matchups are key injury. If you got injuries at safe the corner of special guys cause special teams, you can't. You don't want to come up short on those numbers. So you know, that's that's mainly

that it's who reasons right there. You know. Yeah, speaking of deactivated, we finally got to see the Red Rocket in action. That the first time we've had a Ginger quarterback playing a game since coach Garrett. Cooper Rush got to see the field yesterday afternoon. So not only was Kellen Moore inactive yesterday, which I'm sure he was happy, He's like, great, finally someone gets to go in and do mop up duty. Yeah, and it's Cooper Rush is

active for the game. You think, Nate, they saw something where they knew they might have a chance to put

him in. Or is that just the way that the game played out that they were that far ahead just the game away of the game played out, because normally is starting quarterback in that whole group just take all the snaps in the pro game, but that right there, it just that was the right time to do it and get you know, get him some snaps, and you know, and Jason pretty good about that, you know, trying to give guys a shot, you know, and leave me now here.

He gonna give him a speech after the game. They're going in muck it up on you know. You remember you well, watch you every play as a competition, you know, hey, man's mop up. Leave it alone. But hey, you better if you if you plan on having a future, you better play as hard as you can play, right, So that just was that just hey, we're far enough ahead. We don't want to get Dak hurt. Or was it more a little bit of bowl? I want to see what we got in this give a bowl? Yeah, you

know you don't want to get Dak hurt. I mean we don't care if we don't never see him. That mean Dak's playing well, doing good. So if we never see him, that's good. But you always want to give him a little something, some type of reward or taste of a taste of a little bit of reward. Nobody like the pure leaf tea. You know, you don't want to drink too much. Sip here and there, it's good for you. Speaking of playing well, Dak was sixteen of twenty five for two hundred and thirty four yards, three

touchdowns and one hundred and thirty four rating. You know, you would have thought he threw three hundred yards away. We spent after the seventy two yards. Zeke, You know you like if you're like man, but you don't do for three hundred yards and head right, this is normal. Two thirty four, two fifty. You know what I'm saying. He did what he had to do. Yeah, and that's

what he did last year. He didn't really have any like dominating games, but when you looked at most of his games on paper, it was like, good grief, Like how long was it throw to with? It was an eighteen yard touchdown pass? All you people don't think that kid can throw that passed? I don't show you something. Yeah, that was perfect man on the money. Wow, ind S Francy was throwing Dad's man. It was nice, man, it was it was nice. You know. So, Kurt, what are

you looking at over there? I was just looking at the various numbers here. It's it's uh, you know, share your various numbers. I mean, I'm looking at the various numbers. Okay, vary us a little bit. That's Kurt's way of Sandy's daydreaming. Yea, well, what numbers are you looking at? Kurt? I was just you got me to think about the last three games. We talked about Dak and I mean this offense, and

we talked earlier about how much it's rolling. I mean the offense in the last three games is averaging four hundred forty nine, four hundred and fifty yards a game and averaging over thirty points number thirty points a game. I mean this, it's clicking now. And part of that is a run game coming on, and part of that is just Dak doing Dad. Wait a minute, Kurt, wait, why was that like pulling teeth for you? That is

actually some good information? And and you go, well, just looking at the various numbers, and you were just gonna leave it at that until Nate like was like, what are you looking at? And that's some good info and you just sat on it. You're like, help, just numbers. It wasn't really what we were talking about. And I was trying to figure out how I was going to slip it in. It's called a change of pace. I shouldn't worry about that. We bounced around all over the place.

And that's what's great about this show is there's no scraps. Just start throwing random stuff out. You shouldn't the stats guy. You bring one thing to this show, Oh my god, two things? Really? Yeah, don't change man. Anybody could do that. Nate, you could do that. We could let Douglas. Oh my God, that's how easy that is. Letting Nate do it next time. That was so funny though. That was so funny man. Wow, But it's not like it wasn't it was like, good, Yeah,

you know, I'm not over here screwing around. That's why I asked you all you're looking at because I'm just making sure because sometimes I feel like you just looking at YouTube or Facebook or it's just amazing, man that this kid does what he does. Man. And like I said, oh, fardred yards a game and in doing this, played a half against Green Bay, played a half against UH the Cardinals, played a half against UH the Rams. We never we never put a full when like we did yesterday and

put a full game together. You know, you had you lows, but it was always somebody making her play. Always funy. What was our first down? Our average run on first downs? You know, because it had to be nice, it had to be nice, and it just it just amazes me, you know. And I'm the first to say, yeah, it

against the forty nine ers. But unlike the Giants game, where you knew real quick the Giants just ain't got it Giants, but we knew from watching film that the forty nines was gonna try to play their harts out. But I tell you, I don't know who I told us. I say before the game, two things can happen. Gonna happen to the forty nine ers and they're like, what is I say, They're either gonna take a big side

and say we're home and they're gonna whoop us. Are they gonna take a big side and say we're home and they're gonna get blue out? I said, because they're young and they don't know how to stay in the middle of the road. They don't know that we were almost there, you know, and they took the big l wow. And then when they when when the Mars Martins did what he did, it was it just it just starts snowballing on. At that point, it was twenty to three, is under a minute left and a half. They're on

the five yard line. Did you get a little word? I mean the previous games Cowboys are given up points right before the half, and that kind of started to shift the momentum. I felt different about this game. You know. Broadest even checked me last said, Man, if Cowboys continue this one game where they got to continue to do what they're doing because they, unlike the other two teams, Green Bay has a superstar. The Rams have studs on defense, so they could equal our force with their force, and

they did it. This team is young. They've made great adjustments in the last five games that they've lost, but they ain't faced this offensive line. They ain't faced this running back. You know, we are different than the other teams. Even the Red Skins don't have what we have our offensively. I was getting a little nervous just because they were at that point, they were running the ball pretty good. You're thinking, man, just don't give up those points again

right before the half. We don't want any kind of We don't want to give them any hope of momentum. Unfortunately, Lawrence came through with that that that kind of slammed the door on them. Yeah. I don't know if it's because I was so occupied with running around like crazy or what, but I'd never looking for angelottos for what looking for angelottos? What's that mexicotlay? I thought she. I wasn't sure what you said, though, either you're supposed to be listening back there. I brag on you and I

try to get you to talking. You're not even listening. Man. What you eat back the small oatmeal cookies? But I thought, I'm just not sure what you said. If angelattas there we go tacos. I thought the morning nine Ers Stadium was supposed to be like this technological marble and you couldn't get sick it is and yes it's not. They do have a deck up there where they grow their own food and serve it to like sweetholder members. That's me. That's a green that ain't gotten into. They don't help

yourself self. I don't. I don't understand it. A Wi Fi week just like the team did, like I am you yeah, come home? Yeah? So I never felt what do you think about the charges? But a fourth straight not that bad? I told y'all at the beginning of the year, watch out you did. But then also like the third weekend, I was like their trash stick with your So where's the deck that they grow stuff? I don't know. I didn't see it, but uh, like a

farmer's market up on itself. Fish I had the stadiums, only they only let like a certain group of season ticket holders eat the food that's grown there. So I don't I don't really know. Do they grow things you need a prescription in California to consume? Now Douglas is interested? Sure about that, Douglas. I'm just care I don't understand Douglas. Understand Douglas many. I'd be like, man, let Douglas talk it is. Sometimes he just go off on the deep end. Well,

Yeah, by that time, we know who the Charges is and we'll about to know who the Redskins in. When do you know what the Cowboys are? After the next two games, after the Redskins and then and then the Chief City. Yeah, you better be who you are. It be you ben, I be thinking about who you are. You better know

who you are, you know. So yeah, we'll know here. And because after Kansas City, you saw a little bit of niceness in Green Bay and you closed it out this week showing people that Hey, you know, I'd tell people defense is situation situation all the time more than any and it's know the situation on defense, know that situation, you know. And we had we like last year, we didn't make the big plays, but we were three and out. Okay, we ain't go getting no turnover, we ain't gonna getting

And then the end of the day, they was giving up on about twenty points a game or twenty one points a game. That's the only thing that counts the scoreboard, right, Yeah, I think this Sunday could go a long way because of the three teams they're beating are really bad teams. And the three they lost two or decent decent yeah one one, well one was really good and the Packers for Rogers got hurt and he might be the real deal. But this Sunday, again, this is a you know, division game.
