Before listening, ask a doctor if your heart is healthy enough for Dallas Cowboys football. He's hanging with the Boys, broadcasting live from Dallas Cowboys World headquarters at the Star in Frisco. Now your host Nate Newton, Kurt Daniels, and Shannon Gross. Hello, there we go. Here you go man, Thank you, Douglas. Thank you. Been trying to shut me down for three months and he finally did it. Try how you guys do it? You know you got my homie up in here. I know level today. I know

it's Thursday. As promised. Yesterday, we delivered a guest, and not only a guest. Anthony Brown in the studio today gives a hand clap. Yea. How you doing man, I'm good. I'm gonna good. Yeah, you're doing good. How's life? That's great, man, I can't complain. Yeah. Yeah, you're looking You're looking good. You're feeling good and good. You know we're two on one.

You know. Well, I'm gonna let Kurt and Nate ask you a football question and then we're gonna get to know you as a person, because that's what the fans really want to know. So I'm gonna let them get football out of the way, So you guys go. You know, I really don't have any man good. I saw you got through training camp. We got a little bit nicked up. I saw this past game. You drew a good beat on Fitzgerald. Man. I mean, yeah, yeah, forget that. I

ain't talking about the Rod. I'm talking about you drew a stud and you played your game and they had to make a perfect throw for that to happen. So how are you feeling, man? And forget football, just how are you feeling with your body? Like, how you feel being in that starting role right now? Just tell us about that. I'm just I'm enjoying it, to be honest, because last year I was a rookie, everything was coming fast. Now my second year, I know what the spect you know,

everything just coming and slowed down for me. So I'm just enjoying everything from the on the field to off the field, everything, the fans. Everything. Yeah, you're this is your second year, but you're you're kind of an old man veteran back there now, got all them kids back there with You've been able to kind of help them out for them the ropes. Yeah, I talked to him, you know, try to get him my point is from when I was a regular last year and then you know,

we still got our land on Nolan. The veterans in the room, they still get an input too. What's one of what's one of the things that you learned last year that you're able to tell them, Hey, this is something that it took me a while to learn, and you kind of give them a head start with Man, this NFL every week. You got to come with it. So yeah, in college, man, if you if you even thank you covering the guy, he's still gonna throw it. Biggest.

That's the biggest thing. Speaking speaking to college, tell us where you where you grew up, where you went to high school, how you got recruited, what colleges recruited you? Originally from Tampa, Florida. You know when the Hillsborough House School, um, the Florida Boys in here eight one three. Right after my junior year, Purdue gave me a scholarship and I committed on the spot after my junior season and I stuck with it after my senior year. So that's how

I ended up in Indiana from Florida. What was your sunny Florida? You're living a nice life down there and you gotta go to Purdue Indiana. What kind of adjustment was that? Big adjust man that my first time seeing snow, my first time, first time on the plane, first time on the camp, college campus, was first time for everything. So it was a great experience. You know, my mom, she loved school. So that was the big reason why I committed there and stayed there. Any homestick calls, Mom

was like, no, you're not coming home. I wasn't because I had I was on the mission, so I knew what the big picture of how old were you? Like was it high school? Junior high whenever you realize like, okay, like I can do this and I'm a little bit better than everybody, and I can maybe make a career out of this. I felt like that since mom on sophomore year in high school because on my freshman yard,

I didn't really play. I didn't play a lot. So but when I when I started getting on the field my sophomore year in high school, I felt like I was one of the top guys in the um Hillsburg area. But I was getting overlooked because my team he wasn't as good anything, and that just the way stuff happens. Then I ran a track also, and I ran some good track time, so that attracted some scouts also, But those track times talk to us now, I want to

know about that. Okay, I ran a hundred. My PR was a ten five flat two hundred twenty one six, and then I ran I was in the four by one. We dropped the baton instead. That hurt you, that it hurt bad. What positions you played in high school? Everything? Yeah? Yeah, I don't know if you guys know he scored fifteen touchdowns as a run as a senior now a running back, Any idea, any thoughts of what she stuck with Oviens? Hey, that's a gread. That's a great question, man. I don't know.

I always feel like when I get the ball in my hand, I could make something happen. But you know, NFL need to be man. Wow, the go ahead and ask question now. So you're preparing now for the rams, y'all face some nice receivers. Man? Uh? Is that a thing where you play the slot if Scandrick's not there? But if he, you know, do y'all switch that in and out? Or you just gonna be outside as long as scandrids healthy. I mean the first couple of weeks it was like that, but now it's changed because now

we got um Xavier. He gonna come in and play nickel for Thendrews to go down, okay, and I'll just stay outside because we're so thin that corner as it is, so I would just stay outside. Then we would bring a safety and to play nickel. Right, So that's our playing right now. We talked a little bit before we went on there. They switched you back and forth between right and left. Is there a big difference? Are you stronger on one side or the other. I mean what,

there's no big difference. It's just you just gotta understand when you want to outside, that's the hot side because the quarterback he's looking that way off rip when you come out of drop, but the right side he's that's his backside. That's the only different. But it's no different from the way I play my technique, and really it's the same footwork out, all that kind of stuff. Same thing. So you're kind of a kind of a quiet guy off the field. People are say I'm quiet. I mean,

I'm quiet certain times. I got to know the person I feel like spots, Yeah, let me let me ask you this question real quick, like, uh, and you probably equal, you probably feel equal. But do you like that one on one coverage or you like more of a zone coverage? You don't want to reveal that. I don't really care to be honest. I mean, yeah, man, the man zones, I don't get a lot of picks. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Yeah, yeah, I don't get a lot

of pits. Man to man. Great too, So I mean, start what you're in when you gotta pick against the Giants this year it was zone zone. Yeah, last year too, and that was against the Giants. Also like playing them. I guess you talk trash on the field at all. I don't talk. I'm talking to les. Somebody say something to me. It's too much energy, too much, man, I was the same way. I ain't talking. Brother. You know, I'm gonna let I'm gonna move you first, go see what's up. I'm with you on that. Wow, So go

ahead on going on Beard. I mean, it's show homie too. Can I ask you what he likes to do? It is downtown when you know going down already if you get my one question out of the way, hand out of it, get ready, wife, girlfriend told you told you it was coming or playing the field? Who who? What do you like to do currently in this situation? I have a girlfriend, right, actually the mother of my child. Also, I mean the wife could come down the line. Okay,

all right, cool, you heard it here first. Yeah, I'm staying out the way. Now she might be listening on. Nobody listens to this show. You're fine, there's like eighteen people that listen. So am I here? What do you What do you do off the field? What do you like to What are your hobbies? Man? I'm a football junkie. Man, just I watch NFL network? Do you yeah? Watch FAM and then I hate with my son. Um, go to the movies. I love the movies and I love music.

So I just listen to music. What kind of music? Into? Mostly hip hop, rap, R like R and B two though, switch it up, you know, switch up the vibe and um, you know, I just like I like to hang out. But I stayed to myself and my family most of the time. Do you watch Do you watch your Thursday night football, Monday night football? When you watch all that? So you just all in all football, all the all in the football, you know. Um, I'm all in the I like reality shows too on TV, which one Love

and hip hop, um Blacking? What else come on Baller's Power all stuff like that of Hey, your favorite movies? Man, what type movies you like? Oh Man, I like I like commed. I love Commed. I'm like Money Talk, Rush Hours on Fridays. What else like the Presidents? Like old school comedy like the nineties Differ Coming to America? Yeah, I love that? Oh Man, Trading places that? Yeah, man, I was watching that the other night. Man, Uh so

so homie. I mean, how often do you get back to the crib man and shared shared this love with the family? Man? Not much? Man, Yeah, I went last off season. I went home for about a week. Yeah, but it goes so fast, so it be like I'm nearing them gone be so fast. So I mean, I'm kind of used to Dallas now, so this home now, but Tampa will always be home. R and um. You know, I try to go back as much as I can. I see what I'm doing about with this year because

I ain't gonna where last year. Okay, you know Nate did a little stint in Tampa. Huh yeah Tampa? Yeah, man, I know Healsborough kind of pretty good. But I'm telling you, man, I watched him. Now, I don't say much, you know, because I you know, I'll be cheering for him, and uh, I think I jinked him so hardest. Just it's preseason, because you know, every day I'm like, what are my whole boy doing? Away? The stinging though? He over us

standing up on the sideline like I jin stiff. I was just telling him how I saw you on the timeline other day. I was just watching I was talking about you. Yeah, man, so wow, brother, that just now, map out your day, man, I mean map out how you how you go about today, how you handle that. It's a normal, normal routine day. I wake up, say about what six thirty, get over here, um, try to get some breakfast in, go to meetings and everything, and

go to practice. Then we get out of practice, I don't do lift for whatever left recovery, goes back to meeting. Then when I leave, you know, I go home, try to watch film for about an hour and then just play with my son or whatever. Okay, it's on a weekday, just a weekday, just play with my son, umn watch TV. By that time, it's already about eight nine o'clock. So it's about time. So what's time you bed down? Man? Don't you gotta go earlier? Different? Man, it's different. It's

different every night. Okay, Like it's not like I'm just saying, okay, it's this time I need to be Okay, it's just whenever I happened to fall asleep, right, but it's um it'd be around about ten thirty, ten, third, eleven o'clock. Okay, No, but they don't change every day. How old your son one? One years old? What's his name? Man? Junior? Yeah, around Junior? A handful handful? Man. You know, he's just always moving. He's not talking yet, but he's making noises like blah

blah blat. It's crazy. Wow, it's crazy. So who you hang out with, man, when you have that time to hang out with your team? Yeah, I can't go to anybody I hang out with. You know, I played the game in Terrence. We'd like to play Man a lot. I hang out with Tapper Orlando all the dbs. I played Dad's and Man too all the time. Hey, man, tell tap Big News to keep your head up, man, because I know he was in act with this pad. We a tap man I'm in his corner. I'm loving

on some tap man. We love talk to him. Yeah, man, keep his head up, keep pushing him. Ate. Nate's been on the taper and Malique trains. Yeah man, I'm loving him. Man, my whole class we all had together. Yeah yeah, but uh so, what's up with the with the with the dance you do on whenever you get an interception or a big I've been stap man. That's just my that's some new thing. I'm trying to set the trend. You know, something different at gorilla Gorilla thing, No sho missed it.

Maybe you should demonstrate real quick. Go yeah, hey, you got it. Let just try to get your trouble yet. I gotta be trouble. I gotta be in the mood to get Okay, you gotta get that I and T first, right, okay? Anything? Oh oh good? Tackle anything? Yes, and that shows some strength, that shows yeah. Yeah. Sorry, but somebody asked you one time with animal you would be or something like that, and you settle silver back because like you that's it.

That's kind of it's not really a dance, it's more of like a yeah, I'm telling you man, the silver back is Wow. Yeah, yeah, you ain't the only one to think that way. Brand I'd be in my cribs from Time of White, like what you think about I'm a silver Back. I'm thank you by Yeah. Who's who's the better Madden playing play? Between you dads and Terrence? Oh? Oh man, Terrence probably the best one right now, but you're coming at him. Huh Yeah. I beat das Terrence

beat me. So I mean it's just a little triangle. So you name me your team? Man on what? Man? Yeah? Ilay with the Falcons? Okay, you Cowboys because Dad's always played the Cowboys and I hate playing cowboys against cowboys, right, so I pick a different team. So I just did with the Falcons. You know what. Let me ask you this, how realistic is that game? As far as like schemes and coverages can you? Is it really? Is it realist? It's pretty much. It's pretty much like the same way

in real life. It's just a couple of It's a video game, so it's gonna be somethings different, But for the most part, is it's real. Who was your team growing up? Dude? I was a Bucks fan, you know, number one defense when I was coming up and as I got older, I just started liking players. I just started liking players, and I just watched any game. You know, it could be the Browns. I don't gonna watching whatever game, come on, it's just kind of cool. And Bucks won

the Super Bowl. Marion they only was a part of that. Now you're playing for I talked about him beside you. I talked to them about it all the time. Man, and they still give me, give me problems about it because I still watched some of the videos from that and they were like, why are you still watching that so long ago? But that's just I love football, so I watched it. Man. Cool. Yeah, you got a nickname on the team, speaking of Marionelli. Not a real nickname,

not a real ab. Some people call me Tony Brown. I got a little just brown ab. Yeah, don't matter. So that we we out just talking and the people gonna recognize you after Brown, but not Tony Brown. You know, nobody will know Tony Brown. Okay, I just own a couple of people. Okay, all right, Okay, cool, because I don't want to say that today, right, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, well, man, we know you gotta go eat, go get a lift on, go talk to the other

The package posted up. I said, okay, cool, trying to tell you something. Yeah, oh man, those things are nice. Thank you again. Tell me John for hooking me up. Man. I had a couple of people from sponsorship that listened to the show

yesterday and they were like, that was awesome. I was like, well, you we we talk about it like that every single show. Yeah, man, what you think about ab Nate? You know, you know he he you know a lot of times, you know, when I'm watching the game, you know, you know, they had a touchdown throwing on him and and he like thinking, I'm coming at him. Nah, bro, I understand the difficulty and the degree of what this dude had to do

to get that ball to that guy, you know. And so uh that's one thing about players, they know, we know, you know what. But he was like looking at me like man nate for to get me. Ah, he's one of our better corners. Yeah all he lacking like the rest of his experience. Yeah, yeah, all, he lacking his experience. And I could have told him what he's overcome from last year if we got inside of twenty or inside of ten. He liked to peek in that backfield. This

year here I noticed he ain't doing that. He playing the man, you know. So he's growing in that aspect, doing his job. Yeah, here doing his job. And I tell people that when you're dealing with guys that are willing to learn, and like you said off air, repeat what you said off air about guys who Yeah, it always it's interesting to me, like there's and this is

I guess with any job. Whenever some guys are away from football, like they at night or on weekends or whatever, and they don't have to study film and they don't have to you know, be in the meeting room. Some guys, you know, they just want to get away from football. They don't keep up with the rest of the league. They don't keep up with what's going on. They don't watch college football. And then there's some guys that are you hear about people being gym rats. Yeah, there's some

guys that are just football rats. They're football junkies. And like he said, he watches Thursday night football, he watches Monday night football. He's just me too, you know. But there's certain guys that are like that. And some guys when they you know, just like you at your job. Like some guys, whenever you're away from work, you don't want to have anything to do with work. And some people are they love it so much that's all they want to do at working at home, you know that way.

Do you watch football when you work? Not as much? Not like the like him, not not not you know, now, I will watch a game, you know, because it seems like once you start winning, it seemed like you and you gotta stay on top of everything. So I will watch games, but you know, just being deep into it, man, so special or something come on about you know this was Cowboys, especially about the Cowboys I watching. But other

than that, you know, I'm always impressed too. You see these guys on on the field and you just think they're crazy, spitting nails. And he comes into a nice, quiet, professional guy. Great to sit down and talk with him. It's good to get to know these guys off the field soon. Yeah, And I think that's you know, that's what we try to do, is we ask a little foot bit of football because we want to know. But you know, a lot of people don't know how they

are off the field. You have a family, do you have? You know, he's got a one year old son, and like, what do you like to do? Music? Move, you know, old school comedies, Like I thought he would be too young to know what America And then Nate's gonna find out about that love life? Yeah, yeah, I got yeah, I gotta find out. Man. I start prepping the guys when we walk over. Now. I'm just gonna let you know ahead of time, Nate is gonna ask you this, so figure out what the right answer is for you

before you get in there. Yeah, are you married a girlfriend or both? Yeah? Yeah, it's just when these guys and you know, and that's why I find myself apologizing for my error for all football players because eighty five to nine percent of our league, there's a bunch of great guys, and then you got the guys like me

who wasn't so great, knucklehead type guys. And in society base all of the players off of the one or two incidents and saying the NFL want to do something it ain't but ten guys that's wrecking this whole league? Is you that narrow minded? You know what I'm saying. So when I see a guy like him who's trying to do the right thing, who's trying to live as close to good as he can, you know, that's why. You know, I've met him before, We met him a

rap before, we had him on the show before. So I wasn't gonna get too deep into football because I know how much you love it. So I wanted to let people get to know my homie. You know, he just good down earth people, And you think about it, like everybody we had on the show during training camp, every one of them was a good guy. Cavan does all that stuff off the field, ye hear about you know Tapper. You know who would have known that. You know,

he's taking care of his brothers and sisters. Yeah, and his background. And you know there's Wayne big Swain. Man, he had this family down here. Man. Yeah, man, you know, And I don't know if it's correct to say that, butmir had a great spiritual talk, you know, about God and living right and you just when father, that's when I'm like, wow, man, you know, and then all of a sudden you hear a bad something, and then you can turn on the radio all over the world, Oh man,

what's the Nfl're gonna do? Well? Out of fifteen hundred players, and about eighty of us is bad. You know, really, yeah, that's that's better than a real life ratio, Thank you, man. And I always say that, you know, a locker room, no matter what sport is, it's a microcosm of society. Not everybody is gonna be this ideal person. You know, you're gonna have people that have troubles. You're gonna have that's real life. It's life. But for the most part,

most of these guys they're very good guys. Yeah, man, delp deal. We'll have our few potential Hall of famers and All Pro and all decade team guys come up out of these mixtures of guys. But basically a lot of these a guy go ride right off into the sunset and you anothere here nothing about them in the media. Now they someonem can be millionails. Some of them would

be just normal guys that work every day. Yeah. And the cool thing about a locker room, like you know, for people that that don't know especially what's gone on over the last week or two and and and all this stuff, is it is a it is a brotherhood, and you know, you wind up having conversations, you know, whether it's football locker room and baseball locker room or whatever.

It's so it's so diverse, and people are from so many different backgrounds, more backgrounds, privileged backgrounds, different parts of the country, different hell now, different parts of the world. You wind up having conversations and become a more light then better person because you are a part of sports

here his locker rooms. You know, you hear about the So that's why we didn't talk about a lot of what's been going on on this show is because to me, it's like, that's this much of what's going on in sports and football, and that's what everybody's focusing on, Like all the good that that's around the NFL and around sports and around locker rooms and around teammates, and you choose to focus on that, it just it blows me away and people get so worked up over it, and

it's to me, it's bs so because guess what what my dad told me this statement, And I know forgot. I was a young guy and I thing was round the Nixon era, you know, four things went bad for him. I like, Dad, what do you think about this president? I'm trying to be, you know, smart, because I don't heard somebody to say it. What do you think about the president? And he's a son? He looked round the face. Seriously, son, he's I think one day, I think the best president

gonna be when not us out to work? Because every president, so I was a little kid, I started working. I was twelve years old, and I've been working through every president. So you know what, as long as I got to go to work, the president is just a president. I looked at him out and so now I realized President Obama, President Reagan, President Bush. When you work, whether you paid a lot of taxes, a little bit of taxes, do

you still had to go to work every day? After president can stop me from working, he is the best in the work. Then you're in. Oh man, I'm all in. He can't do no wrong. As long as I got to go to work. I don't care to care about but the president do. As long as we don't kill each other. Yep, yep, that's all I care about. Well, defense, since we had Anthony Brown here, we talked about the uh the Cowboys offense yesterday against Man. The more you think about it, I'll tell you what, how do you

I don't feel about this? Before we get into this, I went back and listen to the I went back and listen to the show on the way home or anything on the radio. I was like, I had to go to I had to go to the store, right, some groceries, and and on the way home, I listened

to our show and I just zoned out. When Nate started talking about like like all the players they have a team, and I was like, uh, I don't feel real good about this game, Like I do not feel good about this game, Like I am worried if if their offense jumps out to a two score lead, I'm worried about putting that game solely in Dak's hands to try to come back and win that game based off of what how he's kind of performed and how the running games kind of struggled a little bit this season.

What what is this? What is this? Howboys defense? What do they need to do to slow down this high powered offense? One thing that has been overlooked and Coach Gruden John Gruden announcer, he brought this up and and as the game went on, this mister gofftin do this a lot. But if Malee Collins Empire can stay with the pocket pushing. He is a quarterback that in his subconscious mind he's been so good over the years. Do

he think he can just continue to back up? If he continue to back up, Vincent Mayowa and our guy Demark will kill him. But if I'm serious, if they can get out to him early and get him solb consciously, because you know he has to think climb the pocket, climbing the pocket where it's a natural deal for our guy. He'll climb the pocket and don't even be thinking about it.

It's not natural for him him yet. So if we can get get around them feet, you know, and mess up and storm motion, then we can get this guy to think they're they're only three games removed from four and twelve. He played with nine games last year and in the head coach wasn't about him. Jeff Sean McVeigh is about him, so he's continued to talking to him into my heye, make sure you read this. Make sure he's continued coaching this kid. But he's still young. He's

still young. Now the offensive line is better, but he's still young. So we can get our deepen's line in his lap and get him to thinking he can see this is the NFL. Like my man just said, they're gonna throw it. Even if you think cover, well, you know what this NFL. We're gonna keep rushing. Even if you think you you are free. It's somebody can hit you anytime because he a pure pocket passer mobility at all.

He's this kid. I'm gonna tell you something. He's he was the number one pick and this is the this is what I like to tell people. It was the reason he was a number one pick. He showed to have close to everything that was needed. He got enough athletic ability to move around. He's not as small as folks thing. He's got the arm to make all the throws. You saw that through he threw the Sammy Watkins with Sammy Watkins man, and he he threw it where nobody

else could get it. Sammy Watkins made a great is that the one where he was back off man? And see, wow, I hate him that right there. That was awesome. When he was in college, they compared him to Aaron Rodgers. They thought that was the closest NFL comparison. I don't know if he's that nimble and mobile, but you went some stats on him. Yeah, yeah, break break us off, break us off proper like carry a little bit though, don't see. I'm just glad that didn't like you got nervous.

I don't know if you did your hair like that or you pulled it like that. Both golf Right now, he's like fifth in passer rating one eighteen. Wait did you just say he's like fifth or is he fit? Okay? I was looking at a different category. Fifth he's fifth and passer rating. That's in the whole NFL of it. Actually, no, he's fourth, because oh my god, where are we going with? He was? He was like fit four. He's throwing five touchdowns to just one interception. Okay, um, forty two percent

of his passes have gone first downs. That is also fifth's his rating. His rating is one eighteen point two. That's what I just said. I did. I wouldn't listen. I was laughing and laughing atually. How you are he's completing seventy percent of his passes. I mean, he's he's played very well. And you know what, and you know what makes him super? You know what? Take him in over the top. It's tied Gurley. Yes, you know what took back over the top last week? You zeke in

the offensive line. The offensive line is noticeably better. So now we have to play flip the field. Whoever can flip the field, whoever Palmer's punting the best, whoever's defense that's keeping the other offense behind the chains. We want to keep them in third and long. We want them to be in second and long. If we can get him to jump a couple of times, we want him be first and fifteen. We won't stress on him at every point. We never want him to get totally comfortable.

You know, how is uh, how do you think girls gonna factor into this game? He's gonna do everything he had. He had five catches for thirty nine yards. He rushed for about one hundred and twenty something on what twenty three twenty four carries, so two touchdowns, but he fumbles. He's got he's gotten so comfortable now so you can get him. You can knock that ball out of his hand. He ain't running that with great, great ball security. Yeah. Wow, Yeah,

he ain't running with great ball security. So he needs some Timmy Johns. Yeah, man, see that thought. Take over Curt control and take over Kurt. He's running the light. He's also leading the league in and carries, so I mean they're Yeah, how do you know how many he got all together? Kurt? If sixty three carries total, he's averaging twenty one a game. Yeah, so how do you combat that? What? What are the Cowboys d What do

they need to do? Stack the box? The run? Uh? First, first, you you see if if they can run on your front seven, because I think uh out front seven is going to get better, uh due to the fact they understand the gap control. Now, how to penetrate, how to run, running their gaps under control, even to the point where it's a thin line between being a pass rusher and being an excellent run defender. But the way the markets Lawrence playing now that defensive tackle all the office attackle

is always going to be paying for the past. Even when he is a run situation, he's gonna be looking at going to a quick pass right, So that that guy's always gonna be nervous because he's a disrupt He goes in and out. Shout out by the way to d Law. They named him a defensive player of the week yesterday, of the month today, Wow, yeah defense NFC defensive player of the month. So ball out, d Law,

ball out. And so what we need more than anything, it's for our two three technique and our one technie Stephen, Pya and Malik. They can't be moved this week. They cannot be moved. Fire hydrants. Yeah, they got, they got, they got, they got. They got to disrupt, They got to eat up blockers. They gotta make these guys, they got to make the guard in the center give them all their attention. That way our linebackers can run free. Their center got hurt last game too, Johnson, Yeah, he

didn't practice yesterday. You know what's what's you got the latest? Uh? Yeah report yesterday he's at he did not practice. He's got a hit problem. Two of their wide receivers, to Vaughan Austin and Sammy Watkins are dealing with concussion. So they who question question it was limited though, right? Yeah? Yeah. The other Malcolm Brown running back, Well, no, he's battling the home streaming. He ham streaming. He practiced, LaMarcus joining

their safety's the other one that's did not practice. He's battling a hamstream We need for him to miss the game. Who's that Joiner? Atlanta coach now Atlanta coach, who was the coordinating and who's the head coach for San Francisco told Gruten this was one of the best slot guys he's seen. He comes all the way from safety and covers Cole Beasley. We don't need him playing, No, we don't want him playing. What's the Cowboys injury report? Uh A Woozier limited the Hams this today or from yes

from yes yesterday? Carol concussion limited? Um sounded like in Garrett's press conference yesterday that neither one we're doing a whole lot um Hitchens. He was back in practice, yes, admitted that's good news bad news. Sean Lee was out with a hamstring and this was all I think. This was a walk through yesterday. So yeah, practice was and full. But hopefully they're just kind of resting him. Hopefully it's not too serious. Somebody else was out, Pier was Outnee's

they're just kind of baby sitting. I'm gonna tell you something, man, you know you played three games not an offensive coordinator. Got a good look at who he think. Chad Green is who he thinks Uh, Lele Collins is he He's gonna have certain plays that he's gonna start trying to put into effect. Uh, this is gonna be where we've been saying. Lyle, you got my league Lyall, you got Jason Pierre Paul Lyle, you got von Miller, Lyle, Jess Green, you got ar Donald who that could be? I could

get a mountain man. You got Michael Brockers. Hey, president, you got both of them too. Yeah, and we don't want to get you college. You got Robert Quinn. So we went from two teams with nice secondaries to a team even though they've been ran on that if you go back, computer guy here, mister, let's Kurt go back. I think they still give up yours Russian, but they want to put you in a bad, bad way. They

want to put you behind them chains. Speaking of Russian, does it bother you that really the only team you played that you can probably even name a running back that we face, Like, who's the running back for the Giants? Who's the running back for the Cardinals? Right? Whatever the time is it? C J. Anderson blew them up? Right, Girly is just good? No, no, no better, no, no, no, Early is another levels it's Girly, it's uh our guy, and then uh maybe one other guy where he got hurt,

and then there's then there're c Jannas. Okay, see, so this is elite. What makes CJ elite is because they run a special offense that he that he can excel in. You know, as a group, they've only averaged ninety five yards a game, but right that this last game Girly went off, he had one hundred and twenty or whatever the show Girley went off. Man. But their defense, they're giving up one hundred and thirty nine yards us. Yeah, they get you can. Yeah, you get rush on them, man,

you see, but we got to get into zone. Now, what's gonna score thirty nine points? But yeah for not to score thirty nineple But but what what scares you is when you have that type of elite talent, because they got like eighty five out of out of fifty three guys, fifty fifty eight of them his first round pigs, you know. So, but when you had that type of scary talent, you don't want it to jail on you. You don't want that talent to come together on you.

You know, you don't want Michael Brockers to start feeling real cons back that one technique. You don't want Aaron Donald say, man, I'm I'm feeling this. You know. You don't want Quinn and say, man, you know I got only two sacks. I need three or four? Man, I see I see d law over that I'm going to get. You don't want them to start thinking like, you know, we need to come together today, right, you know, and stand tall and lock arms and Neil, I understand up,

just roll over. Let us we want division division within the Raikes said you said something that you've you've hinted at before on the show, I tore the microphone up, so don't don't worry about it. They'll come in and fix thatgether, Yeah, Page, this thing's got to be nice to Douglas. I think I gotta put back together. But you mentioned this before on the show. You said we

need that guy to miss the game. I've always been kind of like, give it, let everybody start, let's see where we're at, and let us beat you with everybody full strength. You're kind of like, take god, can miss miss a game. Let him miss a game against tam This right here. When we won our first Super Bowl, I think we played against like four or five backups. Huh. I ain't never heard nobody saying, hey, I don't know y'all played four or five backups. Uh. During the preseason.

I want you to get all the work you can get. Like you know, you heard me say, well, he's going against uh, the great pass rushing for the for the Raiders. I'm like, man, yeah, man, I want to see this. This is give him a good test what he has to prepare for during the season when count Yeah, yeah, when it don't count, you know. And so but when the season starts, you think I can't play. I don't care. I'm serious. It's all about winning, bro, especially early in

the season. You know, you don't need your confidence knocked, you need it built. And so you you you, you get you win, you stack up the wins. The teams that are undefeated right now has a better chance. And you check the percentages then and this is obvious. Okay, this is very obvious. What I'm gonna say. The teams that are undefeated, which is only two, they have a much greater chance than the New York Giants, who was only three. Don't you agree? Yeah? Who's undefeated? Atlanta and

uh Kansas City? Yeah, the only two undefeated. Yeah, look at the standing. This is the fastest team Andrew Reid has ever had. He's never had a team of wide receivers, running backs that in defensive backs have been this fast. He got a fast team, Chiefs. Yes, and guess what, but we gotta play him? Is that? Is that doing that November nineteenth stretching old? I think that's when it starts. Yeah,

it starts Nate. Nate forgets a lot of stuff, but he has he has remembered November ninth, who were playing? I forgot who we play. It starts right there. What you got, Kurt? What'd you say? Nothing? That's what I shut up. I always say, Wow. That's when you one backup. Zim Is you're too busy yapping. Let's take our final break of the day and when we come back, we'll let Kurt talk on. All right, Kurt Daniels, Hello, Nate Newton, Shannon Gross, Douglas doing whatever Douglas does in the closet when you're gonna get him some underwear for the closet. I don't know, I gotta I think that's Derek's fault. I think Derek turned that list in and left Douglas

off on purpose. I'll find us a little accidentally on purpose. Accidentally on purpose, I'll find out. I'll find out for sure. So let's talk about what these teams need to do to win noon game Sunday. By the way, one of the I don't have a lot of noon games this year. Most of them are afternoon or night. I love it. Take advantage of that. You like noon games? Oh yes, what Nate? When you played what was your favorite? Did

you like noon? Afternoon? Night? I like noon games. I find out that you was a loser, so I went to I saw like three five. So if you're playing at noon, if you played in Neon, I mean you ain't too good. You're not getting anybody. When you got like six noon games, you'd be like wow, I wouldn't want to be Cleveland playing every week noon. Yeah. So you know you you and then when you get real good, you you'd be like, yeah, Monday night, yeah, year, Yeah,

we're bringing it man. Yeah, as long as you went in a cold state, you know, as long as you just oh my god, man at nighttime in a cold state, was there any difference as far as how you prepared if you if you played at night, I'm sure you get bored during the day sitting around way Yeah, but you know what you you, you know who you are, and you know what you're feeling to play. Yeah, you know, I think Monday night games against NFC East opponents, you know,

they they they kept it real. We kept it real. Yeah, mess you this. Well, we're on the subject super Bowls. You know, you don't play till there's a two week build up, right right, and you don't play until nighttime. Is the anticipation on game day? Is it just like you're so amped and so nervous. Yeah, but you know, most coaches have called other coaches and they know how to do that. They know how to you know, that

first week, you know, you're just working on you. In that second week, you know, you you started putting in the your opponent, you know, and you stay as close to your routine, your normal routine as you can you know, And that's what the best coaches doing the league. You stay close to your routine. You don't, you don't feel

off of your routine. Man. So the first week is kind of like, okay, get all the knledge of the way, like an off week doing doing like you know, these guys being off during the week, you know during the season, same way. You just handled it like that. You have a couple of days of practice and you put in a put in just a touch of a few things. If they got something real special about them, you just talk about it, h do a little scheming on that.

But you don't you don't press the players because you don't want them locked in and peeking it on Thursday, yeah, you know, because the game is just to a week from that Sunday us So you know, so and the people locked in week of the game, you probably you try to stay as clear normal practice time and normal schedule and routine is yeah. Yeah, And because the NFL

gonna poke, they know it is anywhere. We got media day and we need Troy this day and we need him and this that's like, man, if y'all ever feel like going call me out of use a FaceTime, Yeah, man, all right, what do the Cowboys? Kurt will start with you. The Cowboys win if I think we talked about it earlier. But I think our interior guys two guards Frederick Martin and Chaz Green, have to handle rockers and if they handle them, game over, the rushing attack will work better.

So you're saying no sacks. Are you just saying get a push up front to where Yeah, they just gotta control them. They gotta be able to create holes for for the running game and keep them out of the pocket. Keep I'm gonna get a little more specific, get specific, build off of that. All right, I'm gonna say the Cowboys win if they rushed for over one hundred and twenty yards combined and hold Girley under a hundred. I think that's the winning combination to one hundred and a

little bit over win. Let's just do that. Yeah, First, let's say first first team combined rushing to one hundred and twenty yards wins the game. When you said specific, I was expecting one hundred and eighteen yards one hundred. The first team to one hundred and twenty three yards combined wins the game. But I'm just saying if the Cowboys win. Yes, that'll do it. Yep, Nate, what do you got The Cowboys win if it's if they rush the ball, you know, twenty five or more times. You know,

I think I think they can. I think they can win, because that's telling me that, uh, they're staying ahead of the chains either even our ahead of the chains. You know. Uh you now, by the same token, if if we thought over forty five times, I know we're ben't lost. So I mean we ain't running the ball at all. But that's another story. Go ahead on. I'm just you know, I just thought I thought that in there, you know.

All right, Well, Nate, we'll stay with you. The Rams win if if if the quarterback as uh golfer or that golf golf, if he if he has three touchdowns, we through three passing touchdowns because that mean a running game is often running and he's feeling comfortable. He don't throw three touchdown passing because I think we'll keep my end zone rushing. I don't know if we can keep my indone passing. But if he's yeah, like you said, if he's passing that much, the running game is clicking. Yeah,

that's what I'm saying. But we were stopping. We're a good red zone team when a versus the run. We have a history of that. But you know, but I don't know what our young secondary do. They're still learning. They sit in that learning mode, Kurt. The Rams win if well, it's again the interior. They control the line of scrimmage. I mean it's kind of that way with every game, but they got more so this one. Yeah, more so. I agree with you, Kurt, I agree. I agree with you, man. I saw what he was going

with it side I stayed away from that. You have it all. You know. I'm gonna say the Rams when if they hold Zeke under seventy five yards rushing, because that means Dak's gotta beat you with his arm. And I haven't seen it yet this year from Dak where he could carry this team and the Rams offense from what I've said, who carried us last week? Well? Yeah, you you saying the defense carried us. I think the defense in Dak did carry us. Both kind of carried us.

But I don't know if they can keep up with this Rams offense. From what I've seen, the Rams can put up points really quick, and that sounds so weird to even yes, and scared of the rams and that they can put points up quick. But I don't know if we can match him point for point if the running game Wade Phillips gonna have these boys ready, you know, everybody like coaches like to kick it like I know it's just enough. Come on, man, is he too far?

Is he too far removed from this team to have any insight into have kind of an hasive master film? His advantages that he know how to he know how to work film. You know, so whether he's been here two years ago, a year ago, or five years ago, he looks at film, at film, tell hims everything he needs to know. He's got what's scary And I'll repeat this, what's scary for the offensively and defensively. You tell me a team take the quarterback out of it, take Jered

Garf out of it. You tell me a team that you put any other quarterback with this team with Sean McVeagh as their head coaching offensive coordinator. Man, this is a coordinator's dream. Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods, Todd Gurley, a young revamped offensive line brother this Tavon Tavon aust They don't even know how to use him. They don't even

know that. I'm serious. They don't even know he went from being a focal port last year because he had blind because he got blind in speed to now can you imagine three wives and we got That's what I'm saying. If golf connected early on a couple of these pattered our young guys, you know, our deepen's line got to

be bringing it bro run wise and pass wise. It can't be just killing them on it because because you got girly m I mean, did you tell me if if if you was out getting, you was out hiring guys? Coaches needed somebody, they say, I got a young quarterback and golf Jared golfing man. Look at the weapons. Yeah, come on, now, who's there? Tight end? Now? Is it cook?

Still don't they tightened tight end? But he's a throw in Tyler Higby Okay, Higby is And then when he's thought the cup or golf or yeah, this dude here, that's the cold bes the dog and he bigging stronger. I'm telling you now there you know they've scored forty points twice, but it came against the Colts, who are awful. In the forty nine ers aren't that good either, right we I hope we all over planning, and you know,

I hope we all over planning. They crush him, but just in case, you just in case you, you know, do like do like oh do like Bammad and Vanderbilt. Yeah, no doubt, we're running for bambla brak bammo. Fifty two points later, scream, Yeah, who did the Rams play? Week two? They played the Redskins and lost twenty seven twenty See,

they still scored. They scored twenty points, right, and they probably left some points out there and golf through the interception there at the end, right, Yeah, I think he threw an interception right there at the end. So you know what I'm saying is they scared no more. It ain't We're not the old r We're we're they're not the arrogant Rams defense that that's what it used to be. That I'm Aaron Donald, I'm I'm I'm Michael Brock, I'm i'm i'm I'm Quinn. We're gonna get ours. They didn't

care what the offense got. But not even as a team. Bro they understand the team concept that was good impersonating was that we're gonna get ours. Yeah, not the Rams, dude, that what pat Win said. They're not the greatest show on turf. The MS. Yeah, a different team, for sure, they are. All right, we're almost out of time, but before we go, let's let's keep the game going. Let's let's play a little over. This is Nate's favorite game. This is one way I always lose. Okay, so far,

we're only three weeks in. Can you believe after this week I only got one point. We are a quarter of the way after this weekend done with the NFL regular season? Is that not? Nuts? It is one quarter of the way will be gone after this week. And I didn't realize that. Hell, are buy weeks in? Two weeks? Like I need to make some plans, like if I'm gonna get out of town, but it's I'll give us a segment. It's Texas, O you get back twenty eight and counting. Now, I'm glad if we don't do this same.

All right, let's go, let's go all right over under Zeke rushing yards eighty Kurt over It better be over this week, over over over. I'm gonna go over just because if not, I think they lose. All right, over under rushing yards Todd Gurley, Nate over under. You say what one rushing yards? Undre? We need him under, okay, Kurt, Oh boy, I'm gonna say over Jesus shoot out with Kurt. I'm gonna go over as well. Jared Goff passing yards three hundred over under, Kurt, I need him under. Made

on think a little under. You know what I like about Nate. He doesn't play the game to win. He plays the game for the Cowboys to win, Like I need him to do this so we win, like what they're gonna do. It's what he's right, It's what he needs him to do. Nate's going with his heart all right, golf over under three hundred yards, Kurt, you're under, Nate, You're under. I'm gonna go under as well. DeMarcus Lawrence sacks one and a half, Nate, I need him be over, Bro.

Nate's going over that record? Well now he'll be under, but I need him to go over if he gets multiple sacks? Is that a record tighter record? Didn't you? One other guy's done it four games and I can't remember who is. Yeah, it's either Green or Gas not because he's one of only three guys to do it for three games in a row. So one of those guys did it four. Yeah, but he leads the league with six and a half sacks. Yeah, So Kurt over under one and a half, I'll say one. I think

they're gonna have to pay more attention to him. I'll give him one sunder. I'm gonna go under two If Dlaw gets golf, golf is not gonna feel good afterward. And the last one, let's get Bryce Butler in the mix. Okay, Kurt over under three and a half catches Oh um, whatever you pick, I'm picking the opposite because we pick the exact same. So I need him to go over. It needs him to go over. I'm gonna say under. He'll get three under and I'm gonna go over. All right,

That way we have at least one that's different. All right, Well, tomorrow we will have Brian brought us to kick the show off. The first fifteen minutes. We get to pick his brain on some uh a lot of a lot of interesting matchups this week that we can ask brought us about. So we'll all bring one one matchup we want to know about and see what brought us to seeing on the film. We'll also take a look ahead

at the game with brought us. We'll take some fan calls, we'll go around the NFC East Yes, and we'll get our score predictions out to you, our listeners. So tomorrow plan on calling in. We'll have at least half half to show that you'll be able to call in. Kurt, thanks for showing up. Thank you, Nate, thank you for bringing it, thank you, thank you special guest Anthony Brown, uh Douglas, thank you for whatever you do. Sure Kent, thanks for pushing the buttons. We will be back tomorrow.

I'm hanging with the boys. This has been a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club f
