Before listening, ask a doctor if your heart is healthy enough for Dallas Cowboys football. He's hanging with the Boys, broadcasting live from Dallas Cowboys World headquarters at the Star in Frisco. Now your host, Nate Newton, Kurt Daniels, and Shannon Gross. Whoa way, what a game? What a game? Crazy? Some crazy weather weather, some crazy weather going on in Frisco. Man, pouring down rain today, about fifty nine degrees, sixty degrees. When does winter get here? It ain't, it ain't. I
don't know. Well, we've been We missed you, guys, call us fan calls all oh day long. Man, what's the number over there? Kurt? Twenty one two? There you go, Hurt two on four eight seven two twenty one two. Kurt trying to do zero work on. Wow. I thought that was your special thing you'd like to do. Wow. Man, I'm gonna tell you we had to show yesterday, and I'm sorry that nobody call you two guys. No one
let me and Kurt know. I fact, I emailed Kurt right before I went to lunch, and I said, Hey, can you do this, this and this for the show. Five minutes later, I walked outside with Derek and Nick walks up and said something about moving the other show to one thirty. I was like, what about us? He goes, Oh, y'all aren't having a show today. It was like there two for the role man, brodes Man, how was it?
It was great? Man. We covered everything. That's why I call you and say, hey, I just go straight to the phone and see what the people think. But like I told Brodess, that game was so muddled up and muddy for me, you're gonna have to be very specific, like okay on this at this time in the game, and you know this happened. And because the game to me is like a cloud because at the end of
the game, I was like, well when I lost this one? Yeah, and then all of a sudden it's like if you want, I had started erasing it out of my mind, and then all of a sudden, I see this guy Jeffy out of the nook. Doug go, I'm gonna tell you something. This quarterback for the Raiders. I promise you he's saying in his mind, what happened? You think he's just playing that over and over. I'm telling he got to be playing what happened. I've never been a part of a
game like this, I've been I've been Aaron Rodgers. You know what I'm saying. I called him when he come back with his great I've been Aaron Rodgers. I've been blown out, I've been rolled over, I've been beat down. But this game here three hundred yards, three hundred plus yards rushing but two for ten. You know what I'm saying. Quarterback through for two hundred some yards but got sacked three or four times. It's like it's no continuity in
the numbers. And watching the game, if you go to the numbers, you'd have thought we won, but then we got three hundred yards passed and looked like in two interceptions. I'm like, this game is so out of whack. For every good you see, you see a negative. But the main thing is, at the end of the day, you needed to win this game so you can have a chance next week to be in the hunt. And then this morning, I'm watching Tampa, right, I'm working on watching Tampa,
and I'm like, I hate Tampa. I hate Tampa. From now, all Tampa's on my hate. Liz, don't tease me, man, don't tease me like you're gonna play it only to give it up at the end. Come on, the worst possible thing could happened to me, Julio Jones, I needed eighteen points out of him. He crapped the bed and they won. Like it's like a double whammy. While yea, let me ask y'all this that rule fumbling out of the end zone? Is that the stupidest rule in football?
What is the point of that rule? The same point is is it a catch and no catch? The same They got to change that. The same point is it a hit? I saw in the game where a guy hit a guy down low, and and and they and they gave him a penalty just because he didn't blow the waist. It was a pass where the receiver had It was a bad pass. The receiver had to layout and you can actually see him gold about two and a half feet off the ground. You can see the guy already anticipating that he had to go low. You
can't win the games. Are getting a holding last night? This could never be holding in a million years. And they called what I'm saying, what are the rests trying to do? Secure security jobs? You got jobs, fellas. You don't have to muddle up the game. But anyway, talking about the rule though that where you fumble out of the end zone, they came, it's a turnover. But see they came up with that because some guys getting smart
where trying to fumble forward. Yeah, trying to you know, they're going for a touch now and they're trying to be cute, and so they came up with that rule. If you do something like that, it's a touchback, but you can still fumble forward and then you can recover it in the end zone. Yeah, but if it goes out of the end zone, yeah, it's a turnover. I don't understand that. Jarrett talked about it in his press conference. Yes, I did go to press. Wow did you take notes?
Where did you gather from that press? Out your notes? Leave the man a long beard. It was kind of the problem was how do you penalize it or what happens after that happens? I mean, did they get the ball on the one? They go back to twenty and then it was like Nate said, it's like guys, you guys didn't trying to chunk it into the end zone. Yeah, if it sets them up on the one, then you know, throw it on in there and yeah, good, let it rule out. Yeah, that's what it boil down to, is
there didn't what the guys trying to take advantage of it. Yeah, I think they should reset it back at the twenty. It's like a touch back for you to the twenty and then you and they'll come up with something. But let me say this, and you you I'm understand this. I'm Cowboys first, foremost, and last. So don't don't anything that makes the Cowboys successful or believe me, it's gonna be some rule changes because that happened to the Cowboys
and we won. Oh yeah. The committee comes, they're like, yeah, man, we gotta look at this rule. But if it was the Cowboys, oh that's just the rule. Live with it. Yeah, yeah, we won this time. I think Garrett's biggest thing yesterday too is just consistency in the calls, because you see sometime guy goes low and one guy didn't call it
the next next game, yeah, olden. I mean the hold is is is if a guy he just fled his arms out and you're seeing floded its arms out, and you're gonna call a holding and you haven't seen this from start to finish, you know, the kickoff returns. Stop with that punt returns has eighty five nine percent of the time. Stop. They can't hit in training camp. They can't. They're not gonna hit. Hit really in preseason and try to knock somebody out. So you never get the timing down.
You never get the speed of the game down because you never go at it. So do something that helps the game. I mean you you can literally go to sleep, or you know, if a late game like that, you can literally go to sleep because the game has already played late and all of a sudden they go, hey, they go to a review. Next thing you know, they playing the I don't woke up with the man they play. It's the third quarter. I don't went from the second quarter to the end of the second quarter to the
third quarter to miss about fifteen minutes. Wow, let's go to the phones. Tristan and Utah. What's up, Tristan, Tristan on man this Tristan Thompson. No, no, all right. I had a question regarding Jalen Smith. If you guys remember, at the beginning of the season, they said that his nerve had regenerated to what like sem and then there were reports saying that by mid season, right around week eight, week nine, they were going to do another test on
him to see what that nerve was at. And I don't remember ever seeing or report see if his nerve folly regenerated or if they did, and they just kind of wanted to keep it private so people didn't thrash on him, if you know, I mean, I mean, basically a rookie, so can't really be too hard on him. But I was just wondering, um, if you guys heard anything about how much his nerve regenerated or what the deal was on that Kurt. I haven't heard any reports
thanks how much it actually has. You know, if it's at one hundred percent or ninety percent now I would. I think the general feeling is it's just going to continue to get better, and it seems to be they like what the role he is now where he's only playing twenty snaps a game or whatever instead of forty. They like him in that role, and they like the way he's working. Yeah, and I think they have big plans for the few We talked about it last week,
and that Hitchens being a free agent. It seems like they've got They've got Jalen Smith lined up ready to roll. You talked about it. I didn't agree with I don't think they should let him go. I don't either, But that seems to be reading some of what brought Us wrote on the Dallas Cowboys. Brought Us wrote what he wrote, I'm with you, I tell you what to be. They like Jaylen Warriors headed. I'll tell you what I know.
We don't want to talk about the draft yet. Time you If you do not go get a stud linebacker in the first or the second round this year, I might quit this year. But you know what, Uh, I got people beating the table for a wide receiver. Yeah, I don't know. So it's they'll get a lot. I don't know if it be first. Oh, I think everybody
beat the table man. Everybody. Everybody's got there. And even if you want to call in about that, if you ef you want to call in about what you think the Cowboys should do at this point, because the Cowboys can win out and I don't think a Linta is gonna lose two games. They got two left. They did what this was the game I was hoping that now comes they would lose. If any of those three lose two game NFC South teams lose two games, but they
they may not. They they all play off. They play off, ready, they all they play off? Ready? Man? And then on top of that, you gotta hope uh Detroit loses too. We gotta beat Seattle, so we Kurt's already put that one in the books. Seattam said, if they beat Oakland, they're winning out standing by that. Yeah, I will stand by that. They gotta beat Seattle. Seattle got make you want to cuss how bad they got beat? Oh yeah, man, they ain't seen him look like that, man, I tell
you what. Girl went twisting on him. Bro. We we didn't even bring this up yet. We the big head dudes in the building today. Yeah, yeah, yeah, man, that's when I got in the building. Yes, he got in the building this morning around what nine thirty or so? I believe. I believe he was up here, yester yesterday. Yeah, doing some paperwork man with mister Jones and coach round a little bit. I'm sure you guys saw the pictures of him all ripped up from working out in Mexican. Mexica,
we don't have stole TMZ pictures. Not tims can get people to make them big and put their head on the right so we don't stole TM. Yeah, it'll be it'll be interesting. Uh, he'll I guess he'll be available in the media today at four o'clock. Huh, yeah, he's available. Are you gonna be a part of that or you got another story that's bigger than the sea? You know, I don't know if I'll be writing a story on Zeke.
But I mean, let let me tell you what. A dude called in yesterday and said we were doing two for the role we brought us. Man, I'd rather have Tyrone Smith and Sean Lee then Zeke back. Uh huh? What what what I said? You asked? I wanted to say if you asked Sean Lee, what Sean Lee, Tyron Tyrone, Tyrone Smith? What day they about? What you just say? That's what I wanted to ask you. But you know, I mean, I don't like to miss my call us because they are the people that keep us going. That's right.
And speaking of the real Anthony and Miami, what's up, Anthony? What's going on? Fellas? Welcome back to Nate. What's up now? What's up? Now? What's up? Now? What's up? I got a question first Jill, Yeah, I got I got a question for you first. Okay, then you can go you can rather it roll it off, okay, and we make an exception. What would you draft? We don't need for you to go into explanation. Just tell us what would you draft? First? Already it's only show Friday. When I'm
talking about my birthday. We need the big boy snacks Harrison type defensive tackle Bence Woolfolk. I say that the beard. Go ahead on, go ahead on, go ahead on. Yeah. Yeah. It was the birthday and it was my mom's birthday, so we had a great weekend. So y'all had are What did you buy your mom? Man? What did you get your mom? Huh? What did you get your mom? Get our stuff? On Christmas? My mom want money from me. My mom tells certain people to get a gift and
certain people to give up money in an envelope? Bro, why do we always get dead like that? Man? My mom was saying it, I don't need no gift. I got everything I need, don't buy nothing from my house money, but you get me money? Yeah, we just do it? What to do? What you say? So it's like that's all love, man, But that win like I told them I saw it, y'all saying what did we see? I told Beard and they'll tell you Doug now curtin them what did I say? The big boy tackle will protect
those live backers that Candary gets looking. So you okay, you're talking about the pastor get you need the end. You can get one more better end, especially if you're side to be long. You can get another end to put that precess. But until you get those tops, yes, sir, up space, yes' gonna happen. That's where it is. I'm with you, man, you need that three in this defense. Tell mom, we say married Christmas bro you but you
she ain't no kidding in me. Man. My mom the same way whether when she was the last I tw my mom as to mom what you wanted, and we love her, man, we love it, but that's what that's her. Thanks. You want that money at that envelope? Yeah, all right, thanks for the call, Anthony. Man, I'm gonna tell you something, man, my mom my mom. You know we all think our mom is the best, but you know everybody else would get a nice give. Oh this is this is so nice.
But I get my mom a give and it's like but I guess because I would give a little long song of money. But I should would have liked to have had this, And it was always more than the gil you know what. I'm just gonna say, get your bunch of money. What Uh? How was the graduation? It was good, man, get some good food down the lap. Yet let me tell you how they did it. Uh, And I didn't. I didn't eat much. Uh. They they make it where you have to be. You have they
want you to sit through every graduation. You know that the doctrines, you know, the real Uh. So they told us to be that at eleven. But my my my nephew walked at two, so we were there at eleven. So what it allowed me to do was I took pictures of everybody walking in and stuff like that, and a few of the doctor and pictures. And then uh, when he got out at twelve forty five, before I took all these pictures of the family and everything like I was, I said, hey, man, you know I have
to go, you know, before you graduate. And it looked like I was at the whole graduation. But uh, I told my brother, I said, man, I showed him. I couldn't stay for him to see him actually go across. You know, he said, don't worry aboudy. You know he got that envelope, and uh, everybody, no big on coming with coming with that Jack. Thank you, mister Jones. Anybody, anybody besides the family recognize you down there? No, no, nobody, nobody knew me, man, And that that was the great thing. Man.
You know, I'm not I'm one of those athletes that don't have a problem with just being a guy, you know, because that's what that I think, that's what that's when you can get the honest, honest person, Like when I shake a man hand or young lady's hand, I can get a honest person. I ain't got to get no fake What about the Cowboys, I don't want to know. If you like the Saints, I don't care. You know, I want to talk about your kid graduating. I want to talk about where where's the next move? You know?
So I like when you know, hey, what's your kid here? Hey? My kid is one of them doctrines. I'm like, wow, man, my nephew is just a regular guy. Is he graduated like my niece she graduated with honors? And I was mad from Florida and m you know, about four months ago and they didn't have her her her thing, so you know I wanted to be I almost screamed her like hey you know this such such such such. She graduated with arms, but I was like, no, angle, angle ahead,
Gene and Philly, what's up? Gene? Hey guys, how are you doing? Miss Gene? Miss Gene, you gotta answer the question. You gotta answer my question. You don't have to give us a reason. If you were drafting today, what would what would you draft? What position? DPA? Best player, A bad There you go, no development players, no projects. That's what Gene. Wow, what's your question to your what's your statement? Whatever? Just do your thing. Here's my question. Um, you know
I'm watching the game. First of all, I just wanted to say, welcome back, Zeke. We missed you. Yes, yes, And then my question is like, how do five receivers on the team all of a sudden can't catch the ball. Some of that have to be the quarterback? Just walk out, Harby, They all just all all of a a sudden, can't run around, can't catch the ball. You know it's gotta be some of this has gotta be the quarterback. And I'm sitting there and watching them and like I'm thinking of my head.
Doesn't he have a clock in his head where he's going one Mississippi to Mississippi Green, Mississippi. Throw the ball. I'm yelling, throw the ball, throw it away, throw it to a receiver. You're gonna get sacked. So these guys, I don't know what it is, but it's driving me crazy. So I am a Romo fan. I do have to admit that. But I know Dak is the future and tone behind us. But I didn't see this with Tony Romo.
And a lot of those receivers were on the team when Tony was there, and then you didn'tee this with Tony at this third year. I agree, at this third or fourth year you didn't see it. I agree one hundred. Once he learned a position, he knew the position, so you're gonna get Dak a chance to learn it wasn't very good with the ball, you know, sometimes he would throw it away, and that's one thing that Dak does like outstanding, right, But some of this has to be
the quarterback. And I just wanted to hear what you had to task you your own, your your own. I have nothing different to say, but I do ask the question. The same question asked is how we how do we get on the seven passes out of our receivers, you know? And uh so my question is when he does store a clean ball, don't you have to catch it? Usual were not you should catch it? So is some of the do you know what, ma'am? When when when? When
they're in the game. If it's not schematic where you know where you can see where it's where the scheme is messed up, it's it's it comes down to the players. Uh, it truly comes down to the players, ma'am. That's what confuses me. That's what I don't understand. Yeah, once the game star Yeah, and see I tell people, Uh, if I'm a stud receiver or stud running back or whatever, and it's my show, somebody has to listen to me.
Somebody's gonna have to listen to me, you know. And Uh, if I can run a certain route and I know it's there, you gotta at least try. And if I fail, then I'm shutting up. But if I don't come on now, you know, And so it's a bunch of things going to it, and then I'm not in the locker room, so I can't be um specific in what it is. Thank you great, great call, Jim, Yeah, yes, thank you, thanks for calling. Give us a call two one, four eight seven, two twenty one or two. Kirt, what do
you think that's a that's a great point. Do you think it's it's a little bit on everybody or do you think you know because she got a good point. The same guys that Romo had her on this team, daz t will Beasley. Romo had what Romo played nineteen years experience. See was he able to throw them open? This is what this is what made me laugh is for Romo first four years, everybody, everybody wanted him out of there. Everybody and uh and and and to the point where I had to stop and look at this kid.
It comes to point you're sitting now, hold on, hold on. They let me put a football on this guy. And then I realized the only reason to be winning a lot of these games because it is because this kid was keeping them in games. Yeah, he was the interception here, a bad ball here, but the only way we had to win because we didn't have a good offensive line. I mean, we did not even have a good offensive line. Yeah,
our receivers. He learned a lot with TiO. You know, That's why Tony really learned and the light came on. I think when he got with TiO. Not so much that TiO helped him, but a lot of the things that to did that was uncateteristic in what you do in offense. It taught Tony how to move around, make things happen, to look off things. It helped him grow
as a quarterback. A lot of people don't want to give Dak that opportunity to grow, you know, but said that last year when he was heard, he said, mentally, he finally is at where you know, he's he's reached the level where he comes. He knows everything, the reads, the route, all that, and then his body started breaking down. Yeah, assipation. Yeah, Dak is at that point now where he's his body he's a you know, he's yea height, but he's still learning. He's not He can't throw guys open as well as
Romo did. He can't read this field as well it did or it's quick, but he will. You know what's amazing about and this is how the league has changed. Uh and and this is what people don't know. How many times in a game, will you throw a person open? What's your guests? Me? Yeah, what's your guess? Oh, I'd probably say throwing a guy open? Eight? What's you? What's your guests? All? I don't Yeah, I'll say I'll take
the under on that. Yeah seven? Yeah? You you you really throw a guy open maybe four times a game. Because if you can't run a route and you don't understand where to be within that route, what what? What? What? Some guys are able to do, like they like the safety with uh with the smith, he saw that his job was to keep that safety over there, so he dropped back. He looked at that safety and he kept looking over there, and all of a sudden he snapped
over through the rod eighty one yards. People said, well, he threw him open. Well, he had to throw him over. I had to do was to look over they. You know a lot of times people like that's a catchphrase, run your route correct and the quarterback and how to throw you open? Nowhere last night, if you watch the game, who do your jones? You know how they threw him open? No, who do your jones? Ran down? The safety was deep,
The safety dropped back another ten yards. Who do your drove a little harder, like he was gonna take it deep safety, stay back with his ten yards coach. He just turned around him. The thirty caught the ball. Oh he threw him throw him open. But that's that sounds good and make people feel good, you know, in another couple of years to have another thing to say when like Dad's the guys on top of deads. He stays on top of deads the corner. Well, Tony can see that.
So Tony would throw more of an ali hoop, you know what I'm saying. So Dad's would come underneath and jump that's a fifth and fifthy ball. That ain't throwing Dad's open. They's just realizing where the where where the corner at. Dad's realized that. He realized, Now Dad's got to turn around. The jets to the ball quicker. But the guy behind das he just throws it over, throws it over the guy head, which throws it over deads to the outside. They ain't throwing him open. That's just
doing the correct thing. Like last night when my man Mattie Ice almost got his tight and killed. You heard the coach say that was a dumb They should penalize that the quarterback because you got that got killed, so you know, because you know I found myself. Oh he throwing open the whole whole name, you're a little smarter than that. You may throw a guy open two or three times, maybe four times a game. The other times, what makes Julio better than Daz? What makes uh Antonio
Brown better than Daz? What makes uh Fitzpatrick better than Daz? It's one thing roun talking about Dak watch out. He just passed Steve Palor for seventh on the all time clubs passing yards list, sixty six thirty one. Palor was at sixty five fifty five. Gourdi got you got him. And then the next closest guy will at least be ten thousand. Please say ten thousand. I don't know. I don't have the whole list. Yeah, the next closest guy, hope at least ten thousand, at least. This is really interesting.
Prescott rushed for thirty two yards. He became the fourth quarterback in team history UH six time overall to rush for three hundred yards in a single season. He's at three twenty and it's the first time since Troy eight men did it with three hundred and two yards in nineteen eighty nine his life? Did this kid hit him out of the run for his life as much as Troy who's ahead of him? Kurt. The next man up is Craig Morton, and he's got ten thousand, two hundred.
Thank you. Don't make it so easy, man, You got quarterbacks you passed, you know? Yeah, he hadn't exactly passed a stellar group so far. Yeah, that's what I'm good man. Man coming up? Who else? Who rounds out that list? Uh?
Morton's sixth, Meredith, Don merediths fifth, Danny White, I'm in the John Meredith gut He had seventeen thousand, Yeah, one hundred and ninety nine, Danny White's twenty one thousand, Rogers Staback twenty two thousand, seven hundred, Troy Aikman thirty two thousand, one hundred and forty two, and Tony Romo at thirty four thousand, one three. Let's go back to the phones, my old stomping grounds in Louisiana, Kevin, what's up? What's
happening with you guys? Oh man? Just trying to stay dry, Kevin? Was you born in Louisiana? Yes, sir, Yes, sir. Why you ain't got that twain like my boy up in him. Sometime you get around me at the right time, you may hear, Hey, Kevin. Kevin's from the big city of Shreeport. I'm I'm from the metroplex of West Monroe. First question for you, sir, before you give us a question of statement, One position that you would draft. I don't need the explanation.
Just one position that you would draft right now today for the Cowboys wide receiver? Speed to all right? What you got for us man? Got for us man? Malik Collins? Oh? The state guys cat. Are they using this cat to the fullest of his potential? Or is his potential not that great? I think I think it's great. I think it's great Kevin. He sacrifices for the team. He playing that one technique. Uh, he's got a broken foot, doesn't he He's got a banged up foot. Yeah, but you
know kind of the injuries. I don't use the excuse if you're on the field. I mean, you gotta play, but I think you can be out of position. Sometimes makes sacrifice and I think he's making that sacrifice and we don't heard the world about it. Where you think he'd be better suited three three. But then you got my man irving. You know, so the three I thought I thought he was more of I don't know, I'm asking. I thought other even more of a one? Is that?
But you think he's no no colins. No, Remember he was out of three last year with five sacks. You know, the end of the year, he really yeah, he started started bawling. Man, It just but the league. I tell you, man, people, you know, wow, this first place schedule, it ain't it ain't no joke. That's why I have great respect for the Patriots and Distillers every year when the last time they played the third place schedule if they well, New England Division is the third place schedule. But I'm saying
the Stellers, you know what I'm saying. That's a crazy game too, man. Yeah, yeah, and see that that I ought to tell you, man, when you coming down to the last weeks. That's why I don't if this team lose, if this team looks the weeks are so crazy. You know, three weeks ago we were sitting here like and all of us, well you are you were, you were, you were not him. I was trying to talk him out of man, this doom and gloom. Do you feel that same doom and gloom that you felt three weeks ago?
I didn't feel dooming gloomy. I had to plane ticket hole. You've been asked to playing ticket a whole ever since you got it eighteen weeks ago, one day playing Mexican music. Yeah, man's like we three though, all right, let's take a quick break. When we come back, Bobby and California will get to you. We gotta pay some bills first. Don't hang it with the boys. We were on the sideline and Beam looked at me and it was fourth and one. We were on what the forty and our own forty forty something, Yeah, and Beam looks at me, goes or we're talking about something and he pulls his earpiece out. He goes or you could just go for it right here.
I was like, it's coach Garrett. You really think he's gonna go for it on fourth in our own territory? And dude, they lined up and I was like, Oh, they're just gonna try draw them off sides. And I was like, and they went for it. I was like, Oh my god, who is calling the place? Yeah? Man, I almost believed that Jerry really did have a have a button up in that box. When that happened, I was like, man, that's not like Jason, not like him
at all. Go ahead and talk about balls. Jason's yes and football off in the quickest plays mixed with some good old fashioned ingenuity or the key to winning, not just Jason's kind of like Tommy John's horizontal quick draw fly. It's the most intuitive, simple and speedy feature that other underwear brands just don't have. Shop Exclusive Cowboys Underwear Tommy john dot com Forward slash Cowboys. I wish I wouldn't talking over that. When Kurt said that Jason's balls, I'm
gonna tell you said it's never good. I'm gonna tell you man, I'm gonna tell you see when they get down like this here. You know, I tell people, you know, forget me an analyst. I'm living and dying. You know, my my my favorite word is wow. Right Uh. I said wow so many times MS over there the broadest deal. They just look at me like he said another wow. But kid, that's what I tell everybody. Whatever says though,
I say, you say wow, and he'll say though. I've started saying wow, and I'll be like in the words in Nate wowy. It used to be really to my wife start she started saying it. I'm like, can you stop. I can't help you. That's all you say is really, gotta give me a new word? Yeah, Bobby in California, what's up? Bobby? Hey guys, Well, I'm not from Louisiana, so I don't have that twang. But I hope you can bear with me. From a guy from the central
coast of California. Hey, Bobby and Bobby Bobby, Bobby, Bobby, Bobby, Bobby. Listen, listen, We're gonna give you the short one here. Give us your position you want to draft first, and then continue on. It's it's almost a hi between receiver we need. You don't want to get one linebacker or first, what's your question? That's how you get We ain't giving you no chance, Bobby, No, no, no, go ahead at this question. Would you rather have uh, Crawford on the line or Hitchens as a linebacker? Crawford
the somebody, Tyron Crowfort, Tyron Crawford or Hitchens. I'm going with Hitchens that that's that's because Crawford gets nine million hasn't lived up to It's none of my business. I think, yeah, it is your business. You're a fan. Yeah, and that that's true. The real reason I called was, you know I watched the game last night, Yes, sir, Falcons and the Bucks, uh huh? And I really thought that Falcon defender really flopped on that t D pass that was
called back? Are you somebody give me Mike Evans? But Mike Evans, they say, and they I thought we could steal one. They got to lose two. I thought if we could steal one there, I know they'll lose one between the Saints and the Panthers. Yes, sir, but I guess what I'm asking. I think we can win these next two. I really do. I have no doubt we we as the Cowboys, can win the next two. What do you guys feel our chances are you know, we can take care of our own business. But just your
own gut feelings. And I have a question for you, Bob, I'll listen to it. No, no, no no, don't hang up very much. I have a don't hang up, don't hang up? Okay, okay, out of all of these teams, who do you feel what's the question? What's the question on these teams? That all? Right? Out of all these playoff teams, Kurt's gonna turt in the list them off? Which team do you trust the most not to screw a game up? Kurt? Okay, New
Orleans is playing Atlanta and then Tampa Bay, Carolinas. No, no no, no, no, just listen. Just the teams that are in the in the playoffs, right, okay? Just list those off and then and then Bobby, you tell us what team and then what chi mean? What team do you trust right now that will not lose, that won't lose? Which team do you think we'll lose? Okay? These are the teams in contention, the Saints, the Panthers, the Falcons, the Lions, the Seahawks, the Cowboys. Who who do you think are going to
lose to us? On Christmas Eve. Okay, I know, I believe the Lions. They have an easy last two games. They could lose. I don't trust them. I thought we could have stolen one from the Falcons last That really kicked me off when that guy flopped on that car. Yeah. Mad, But and if Falcons played the Saints in the Dome, that's right, play the Panther. I there's a possibility they could lose those two. I think the Saints they're playing to win, so I wouldn't put on them to lose.
My hope is somehow the Falcons just lose the last two. It's happened before. Okay, all right, so you're going Saints and who else to get in? Saints and Falcons? You mean you mean as far as the sixth seeds? Yeah, for us to get in Saints and Falcons, well, okay, they Well, I think the Panthers would have to lose. Who do you think? What's your teams? The Saints and Falcons out the Panthers. I'm just hoping that the Falcons. I think the Saints can beat the Falcons and the
Panthers can beat the Falcons. That's my hope. Okay, you a weekday care of business. We're in all right, all right, thank you, Bobby, thanks for the call. Thanks all right. Atlanta's got the tougher row because they do have to play both. Norm Selina, I was hoping that that Tampa could sneak up on him last night and throw him for a loop, and then we then then I knew we could have got one of those games. But now they had some chances. Yeah, all they got to was
win one of those last two games. I tell you what, out of all those those teams, give me, give me defense and a running game. So that means Carolina New Orleans two. Those are those are two. But then one of those is gonna win the division, probably on the division on the fifth weel. And then the way that the Falcons look last night, man with the running game and the running game so good, I'll tell you what,
he looked like a little beast mode out there. He was jacking dudes up, Freeman, he was running over for And he's a little dude. He's five eleven, he's five eight. That thinks what they had him list at five eight two eight five man. Yeah, he's a little bowling ball man. But hopefully he'll struggle against the Saints and the and the Panthers. What do you think? What do you guys think? Who? Who? Who do you trust right now to not blow? To not blow these last two games? To not blow them.
I mean, you can talk all day, all day long about well this team can do this, and this team's got the offense. But who who do you trust us? Yeah, to play consistent and play out these last two games. Kurt Um I would probably go with, well, it's hard any man, because all these Seeds could travel, all of them got good defenses, man, special teams with Zeke. I tell you what with Zeke coming back, do you trust the Cowboys to be able to take care of business?
I do trust the Cowboys to do it. And if you would ask me this question before this week, the Seahawks would have been my other pick because I trust Russell Wilson, I'll trust and their defense. But they got dominated at home. Man. I think the Saints are at home against the Falcons and then they play at Tampa. Bas So you got Saints and who else Saints and US in Carolina? So you got the Cowboys in Yeah. Sat thinks to win the division, Carolina to get the
wild card, and the Cowboys. What you think, Nate NFC ain't never been this good years. Oh wow, you know anybody, I'm always going to Cowboys to keep winning. But you know who keeps shocking me because I keep thinking they're gonna fall off a ledge is the Carolina Pathers. They keep shocking me, man, and they're getting back. It looks like they're getting a little bit better every week. Every week. I mean, everybody, well, they almost lost, but guess what
they won? And they did it with a nice running game, my man throwing just good enough. Uh. In defense, they're doing it just that way, man, and that that travels. And I tell people when you when you trout, when you're on the road, when you take a first round in the playoffs and you're on the road, you better have a strong defense, a run game, in a quarterback they can at least get the ball out on third downs. And if you got any type special teams make it
work up in Carolina and New Orleans both. What's gonna hurt if if the Cowboys went out, what's gonna really and don't make the playoffs? What will hurt worse worst is that they will have beaten Philly when Philly needed the game for some sort of home field in the playoffs, and so you will then know that you were the better team and in your division you beat Seattle. That it's just gonna make the season taste that hungry. That's all it's gonna do. Is gonna make you hungry. Well
you hope? Ah? No, brother, no you don't. If they win ten games and don't make the playoffs, don't you know I'll be upset as a player. I'm doing everything doing all season to make sure I'm in the same position, a better next year, or you win eleven next Yeah, because i'ma be like you know what the Rams were coming to get you. You know, I'm talking to teams that beat us. You know, Green Bay, you won't get
a second chance like you did this fast game. I just all that us started playing back in my head. You know what I'm saying. It just man, If that don't make you hungry as a player, if that turns you off, messes up with your psyche, then you you don't need to be balled. I'll tell you what's gonna piss me off is if the if Carolina gets in,
we wind up with the same record as Carolina. They get him because not only did Green Bay screw us the last three years by beating us, then they come in and they lose to the wrong team to get them in over the top of us. So they screw us twice in one year by beating us and then by letting Carolina beat them. The biggest I think, the biggest thing you can hope for with Detroit, they gotta lose one of the last two. Yeah, they play Cincinnati.
Green Bay's probably maybe gonna sit Rogers, So that game, you just gotta hope that with Cincinnati's coach this being his last year and they've already announced it that they're gonna go win one for the coach on his way out. This week, it's been very good. Ease, Jason. You're still there, Yes, sir? What's up? Man? Where you Where are you from? Calling in from South Antonio trying to stay drying hide from the bus right now? Oh man, are you uh got
some rain down there? Oh yeah, I didn't stopped for about a week now. Oh wow, we just we got it last night and it's been raining all day. Man. I hear you wait, need I gotta know what did you get for being on the all all time USFL team. You gotta have something nice in that trophy case. Nah, man, you know it was Donna Trump got us. Bro like that, Donna Trump got us. Will give the title with nothing, no hard ware to go with it, brother, I hear you, brother. Yeah. Wait,
Nate's got a question. Wait, Nate's got a question for you. Hey. The question is two of them. Uh, if you had the draft right now, what would you draft outside linebacker? We need a dog? All right? Okay? Now the next question is for Shannon oh. Out of all the teams that are in the playoff hunt, in the wildcard race, which two teams do you trust the most to win out? Rust the most to win out? And had given the bottom half Man Saints Panther, I got it, I gotta.
I don't need that refreshing. I looked at this way so many times. Yeah, not who do you not? Who do you think can win out? But who do you trust the most to not screw it up? I gotta go with my man, Cam. I can't. I can't root against super Cam, especially with the way he called out Clay Matthews for that play right that was that was nasty on that circle route when when Clay's looking you right and dead and the eye calling a wheel route. Yeah,
watch this. I mean that was that was rowdy and disrespectful. But I don't think. I don't see any of the AFC South teams losing except for the Falcons. I mean, twenty eight to three. What more do I gotta say? Yeah, you're right, so you got you got the Saints, Saints Carolina. Yeah, yeah, I got Saints. That's gonna be Carolina in the wild Card and it's gonna be the Cowboys pawing it up because the Falcons are gonna choke. All right. I think Andy Dalton's gonna pull one out the good old red rifle.
He's gonna win one for Marvin Lewis on the way out, let's hope. So let's all right, my brother, go ahead with your questions, Head on with your question. All right, my question, I gotta know, because Jeff Heath is on a role lately. Is this the good because the young boys are bawling out? Or is it because Jeff Heaths is bawling out? I think because he's learning the defense and understanding that we need him to be in the right place at the right time, and he cares. I
think I think he really cares, you know. And the way we've been getting callers blasting for you know, earlier in the season. You know, Wow, he cares though. I think that's more than anything. I think he cares about it. Yeah, the good call. Thanks for the call, Jason. Yeah, and hey, we talked about it what a week or two ago. He's definitely one of the most athletic guys on the team. You know what. Chris Jones is one of the most athletic guys on the team too, Dude, like he hauled
uh is the same way. Yeah, we got we got great athletes. Man, just need him at some other positions. Do you think do you think do you think Jeff heath is finally Is he starting to figure it out? Or is he just been in the right place at the right time getting lucky. Man. I want to believe he's figuring it out because a lot of guys, you know, and I and I and I keep my comments to myself because I do work for the Cowboys, and you know, I I tell you what I see. I'm not gonna
never lie about that. But a lot of guys I don't criticize because I don't think they cared. A lot of guys don't care enough, and he just seems like he care. Now, Like I tell people, I'll go a little bit further with a guy who's, uh, don't have the athletic ability, but I know he cares and he's gonna try to find a way. But Jeff has the athletic ability, and so things should be happening. I mean, he plays a lot more than than Jones plays. Uh yeah, look up the plays. I think he plays a lot
more than Jones plays. Came on Frasier bringing it. I tell you what, Yeah, I'm bringing it. I don't know who was more excited after the game, Jeff Heath or Cavon for for Jeff Heath, Yeah he dude. He he was screaming Jeff He's name after the game, walking up the tunnel, yelling at the NFL camera like he tweeted. He tweeted out at the goat emoji right. I mean he was still in the locker room. I don't even think they let the media in there yet and he's
tweeting it out now. I'm gonna tell you something, man, And that's what Coach Johnson and I guess coach Jarrett, guys that care, the guys that care. Man. You know a lot of times, you know, your actions don't show that you don't care the way you where you handling yourself. But you know, Jeff Heath cares you. You can see k on Phrasier he eating he enjoyed playing the way he enjoyed it. Man, you can you can tell guys enjoying it. I mean, I'm gonna tell you I love
DBS serious guys. I mean, they make plays and they'll they'll kind of you know, just but you can look on their face like it's bigger things yet to come. If we can get a we can get a consistent pass rush, you know, because they seem like they want to have fun, but they're taking it all in. And this is what I want it. This is what you know. Like I said, you'll never hear me criticize their technique because that's how you learn, you know, by actually playing.
The only thing I ever care about is lining up right. If you if you line up right, you got a chance. You got the afflictability to have a chance, and then you can work on your technique and it's still gonna be little things that wide receivers can do to you. Yeah, but they learn it and so I have no criticism for that, you know, and they give maximum effort. So what what was Jeff? He's there were seventy total defensive snaps in that game. Heath played in sixty nine to man,
he don't because he cares. Man, he cares. I mean, uh, and he'll be And let's say they don't get a safety because you don't go get a safety in the eighth round. Okay, we don't need that guy, you know. I just believe in our first four rounds, get guys that can get on the field. You know. If it ain't with ten snaps, I'm talking about the fourth round guy. I want him on the field because you can't get
better in this league. And I'm opposite on quarterbacks. I can draft a quarterback first player pick in the draft, and if I feel he's not ready to be on that field, I'm not hurting him. You may fire me, but he's not going on that field to I feel. He's got to understanding of what's going on and what he's facing. You know. But everybody else trying to go to work, put them to work, trying to go to work.

If y'all remember me, man, yeah, oh yeah, of course we remember crazy game, man, if we pulled it out.
We pulled it out. Man. I'm from Fresno, California. My cousin is David Clarks Barber, so I couldn't do that game. Hey, Nate's got a question for you, all right, what's up, buddy? Okay, And you don't have to give an explanation. But if you had to draft a position right now to day to be able to play today for the Dallas Cowboys, what position would you draft? Who? I've been thinking. I think about that a lot. You could be a first round safety, a first round real, real big you want
to get one, now, think about it. In the same I'm tired. I gotta go with a wide receiver. Okay. I'm listening to you and Broders yesterday, man, man, and were not either either there I mean either that you know, don't throw fee you right, or we're not getting open because if you get that with team Dad's over there all the time, it ain't nobody else holding ain't right, that's true. I hear you. Yeah, thank you. And we got another question for you that my man gonna ask you.
Oh yeah, with the with the teams that are in the running for the wild card spots wild card only, what which two teams do you trust the most to not screw these last two games up? Not who not who could win, win out, who could get in? But who do you trust to not screw up these last two games? The Panthers, Anther, Falcons, Falcons, Lions, Oh the Panthers really yeah, Panthers and who else? Who else are you going you gotta get too? I don't, I don't.
I don't trust the Lions. You gotta show something, right, you gotta show something before you can trust them. I don't trust the Lions. They don't play enough. What about the Cowboys with Zeken? What's what about the Cowboys getting Zeke back? Do you trust the Cowboys? Oh? God? That man? We I mean, man, man, Okay, if we didn't, man, we wouldn't need be in this position. I mean, you know it is what it is, you know, But all right, Carolina,
Carolina's question. What's your question, Curtis? Okay, I first, first of all, you asked me a question earlier this year about our young dds, and we're talking about it right now. I just want to tell out I love them. I love them, man, Thank y'all the dude for bringing it. Man. Like you said all the time, if if the coach got a younger dude, it's playing just as good as because it's an older dude. We're going with the younger dude. Yes, you can't tell me you playing just clar and Clay
boring it. Yeah, Okay, I want try to look at the stat for me. How many times last year did we give up third and long? You make long, you call long, whatever you want to call it. We didn't give it up last year, bro. We didn't give it up a lot last year? Did we did? We didn't. We didn't give it. I feel like I feel like we defend were the better defenders. Now we are better
defender year. But if we go through a whole season, we had a worse stat Now, these guys the last few weeks have done a nice job, you know, against against against average receivers, and they've done a nice job. I'm taking nothing away from. But last year we didn't play that. Right there, Kurt's clicking around and see if he can find Yeah, I could be wrong. I could be wrong, man, look look it up for him, because it seemed to me like, Hey, I just get so tired of see Clay to call. But we gotta get
out to a man. We gotta get up there and we got it all right, Curtis, we gotta go. We can't find it today, we'll show hit a spot, Kurt, I'm gonna club. Don't matter, bab we both win. In appreciate the call man. We'll talk to your Friday. Yeah, man, you find it, Kurt, Curtis. Yeah. Well, Curtis, this said third, third down and ten. The uh there's twenty plays converted. No, thirty five percent of the time the convert first downs on third and ten last last year? What about this year?
This year? Third and ten six seventeen. Oh, So Curtis was right, Curtis, blow, you were right. Almost double double Willie is effective. Wow, way to go big Dog. Well, Kurt, thanks for showing up, Sir Nate, thanks for bringing it. Douglas, thanks for doing what you do. Nate is obsessed with his Zeke doll KT thanks for pushing the buttons.
