E1600: Adding DVswitch to Allstar and Enabling Echolink

Well, do what you gotta do, man, do what you gotta do. So OBS didn't up to so used to be. So I live stream in ten EIGHTYP as most people do, but I record my videos in four K and OBS used to. And so you have scenes inside of OBS, right, So I have a live streaming scene, I have a shopping video scene, I have a record. I had a couple of different recording scenes. And it used to be when you would change the scene if they didn't match

Oh wow, it's way better.

Yeah, on that gigaparts live stream is like fifty to fifty five percent of the CPU the whole time. So yeah, so I guess the I guess for whatever reason, restream and or YouTube doesn't really like to streaming four K, which is okay, yeah, yeah, the the area right there, right yeah, and and and if you live stream, I have to go back and look and see if this

And I saw those steps you sent me a week or so ago, and I haven't done that yet, but if there's a way to get around that where you can create a custom script or something, then that's probably what we'll do. But I but you can download dv switch and you can put in some parameters and you can connect directly through your four G five G connection to all to this all Star server or any all Star server that has it enabled. So that's what we're going to enable tonight.

And just saw the buddy's clear there. There is dB switch server, which is what it's on your node, and then uh, you have dv switch Mobile, which is an app for the phone.

You don't need.

Dv switch Server to use dv switch Mobile. dB switch server is basically there for binding or i'm sorry, bridging other modes, and it's it's where a lot of people get confused. So it's not necessary to have dB switch server on your node to use your phone to connect to your node with dB switch mobile.

F YI, if I ever wanted to enable a dm R connection.

Correct, you could that's what we would use all Star link bridge, or you could do a dm all I'm sorry, an all Star link.

There's our folks that are out there that are doing it with d Star, But to do it right with d Star you've got to buy some oh g some amb their their voice license. Oh oh yes, it's an actual piece of hardware. One for transmitter. Once receiving it incodes, decodes correctly for d.

And quite frankly, I don't remember my echo link number.

There's three kind of node numbers you can get. Okay, it's your call sign, and that's the one that works with the app. You can get a dash L that works with a simplex link, and then you get a dash R that works on a repeater. That's how echo Link classifies their node numbers.

If I remember correctly, we set this one up as dash L because this is technically not a repeat right, it's headless.
