Hey, before we get started, be sure to head over to ham Radio two dot com forward slash email dash sign up to join my email list of over nineteen thousand subscribers, where I like to send emails about upcoming events, upcoming shopping deals, keep you updated with all the stuff going on with my videos. Once that list reaches twenty thousand, I will be doing a giveaway of another HF Radio sign up today and thank you for the support. This

is the brand new Explorer backpack from Gigabarts. This is Generation two, version two, and these are currently being shipped on a slow boat from China, so they're unfortunately not going to make it here until after Orlando Haamcation. However, they did order I think it was twenty five or fifty something like that, a small number on a faster shipping method so that they would arrive by Orlando Haamcation.

So some of these bags will be available for Landohamcation, which is just coming up in a few days from the time this video will post. Now here's something unique about this. There's actually gonna be two or three versions of this bag. You might notice that this bag is black and it has red stitching. Those are the hamm Radio two point oh version of this bag. They're gonna have one hundred of these bags in a waterproof type material that is made to be much more waterproof than

this five hundred denier that this bag is. And then they're gonna have some regular bags like this. They're gonna have some bags with black stitching that are not the ham Radio two point oh version. So there's gonna be a couple of different versions of this bag and those are gonna be available on my website link that I will leave in the description blow and a few of

them will be at Orlando Hamcations. So we're gonna do another video once we get there, but I wanted to go through this and show you everything that it has. This is a very neat backpack. It is the regular Explore but expanded. So let's go brought it into the Hamshack to get a little bit different angle on it. Here close up, of course, it's got this zipper in the front here that goes down to the bottom Molly on the front panel here again red stitching signifies the

brand of bag. There are the version of this bag that is the Ham Radio two point zero official version. It's got Molly on the side panel here. Water bottle holder is this would be the right side of the bag if you're wearing it. Expandable water bottle holder right there on the other side it has same thing basically molly water bottle holder on the top. Try to get that as best as I can. It's got a pocket on the top here, and I put this in here,

so it's got velcro on the inside of it. So you can get these velcrow different types of pouches and holders and whatnot. Alf of Amazon. This is just off of Amazon. Of course, all the Explorer bags that they make for the original Explorer backpack will fit in here just fine. But those are all like a khaki color, and I wanted something that was a little bit black and went with that one to be on the top there. Now, let me open this up. So on the flap that

opens up right there. This is the outside flap. It's got three pockets. This mesh pocket here, it's got a solid pocket there and a kind of shallow right there, and then it's got a deeper pocket right here. No velcro here, obviously, but there's velcrow all inside the bag. Move it over like that velcrow here you can put your laptop case, your IC seventy three hundred mount, the FTDX or FT seven ft nine ninety one ft eight

ninety one. All the different Explore bag mounts that are that Gigabarts has options for will go on here because it's just the regular velcro again. I got these small pouches off of Amazon just to show that they're actually much more universal than that. So you can use this as a pin holder right here, hold some pins, maybe a pocket knife right there, just all kinds of versatile stuff. The side here has the mesh pockets. This mesh pocket right opens up all the way similar to the last

Explorer backpack. And then this one on the other side. Try not to knock everything off. My desk has dual pockets, one here on the bottom and one here on the top, so as you're wearing the backpack, this would be the right side. This is the right side here with the full pocket, and then the left side has these half

pockets on it, so some cool options there. And this is just taller this way from this is a deeper inside pocket than what was on the original Explorer backpack, so the bag is bigger overall, and unlike the original one, it will set up by itself on the top. Here show you that real quick now, while you can save five percent on everything in the Explorer line from Gigabarts.

Today's video is actually sponsored by Mezzi and Plony Coacs, which if you're gonna get one of these Explorer backpacks, you're probably gonna want to keep some coacts in it and some sort of and I recommend Mezzi and plom This is the Poda fifty in their customized bag that they have for it. Use this at field Day just about a week ago, and I will have this with me when I go to Orlando. Also for the PoTA event,

the PoTA meetup that they're doing. You can save a ten percent discount with the coupon code of HR two cables on everything Mezzi and Ploni at the link in the description Blobe. Thank you too, M and p Coax who should be at Orlando. I'm pretty sure they're going to be at Orlando, So go see them at Orlando if you happen to stop by. If you happen to see this video, first, thank them for supporting him. Radio two point zero. That's the bag sitting up by itself

with nothing in it. And again this direction here. It's how it's much deeper this way. The old exploor bag was probably like, I don't know, maybe two thirds of this size something like that. And you can get a lot of stuff in that old explorer bag. But this one here is even bigger. Now. One difference. I said at the beginning, this was a prototype bag. So the load leveling straps that are on this bag will be included in the production run, but this waste strap will not.

This will not be included in the production one. They figured out that it was just gonna be too hard to do this. These these waist straps in the various sizes because they would have to order multiple sizes to fit multiple people. While the backpack with just the straps and the uh, the load leveling or load balancing or whatever these are called, I can never remember what those are called. These pull it pulls the bag up higher on your shoulder, so it's not writing on your back

as much. But in order to have that, those will be on there, but the but the waist strap will not. So just a little blurb on that there. But this is cool here, it's got the the snap here in between the two shoulder straps. It's got an extra a pocket here and an a little strap there. You can put a radio there and ht something like that. Maybe it maybe even you might even be able to put your smartphone on there, depend on what size smartphone you have,

so different things like that. But this is a very cool addition to the Explorer line of these backpacks. And this is what it looks like when you're wearing it the back there, walking along like this. This is a little bit high right here, but I think that if I was to pull these leveling straps down and kind of pull the bag up like that, that wouldn't be so high. It's possible that this is actually you can adjust. I think you can adjust that. You might be able

to adjust that. I'm not sure, and it might not be in the exact same place on the production bag either. But it's not bad where it is. It doesn't feel like it's choking me. But there's nothing in the bag right now either, So bag's pretty much empty except for those empty pouches I put in. But look for me at the Orlando ham cation, I will be wearing this bag. You're welcome to stop me and say, hey, can I

see that? Sure, you can Gigaparts will have the production run of these bags there, especially the waterproof version, the waterproof ham Radio two point zero version, and the other versions that they have of this bag. They will have all of those well, they'll have a sample run of them there. Like I said, I think they have about

five hundred of these coming in total. I think there's one hundred of the waterproof version and the other four hundred or the version of this five hundred denier I'm pretty sure it's five It might be a thousand denier, but I think it's five hundred dener that this bag is, and they will have those on the website very soon. You can order from the website pre order before they come in, or you can if you get there early enough, you can pick one of the waterproof versions up at

Orlando Ham Cation of twenty twenty five. Special shout out to Gigaparts, thank you for allowing me to help design this backpack. You can save a five percent discount on this bag and all the Explore items at the page which I will link in the description below. The coupon code is KC five HWB to save five percent on all the Explore items seventy three guys, come find me at Orlando ham Cation. I hope to see there
