I did a video a while back about the best handheld hts for ham Radio in twenty twenty four, my pick of the top ones. We're going to talk about some of those and some assessories for those right now. Well that's because it's changed. I'll share that up here somewhere, and I went through Amazon and tried to find pretty much everything. They're not all on Amazon, and the ones that are on Amazon are probably a little bit higher price than what you can get them for elsewhere, especially like this one right here, this Yazoo, which is four

point fifty nine sold directly by Yazoo on Amazon. You can get it cheaper than that at like RNL or main trading company, Gigaparts. This Bridge Comm Systems. This is the bridgecom puts their stuff on Amazon. So this any tone eight seven eight UB two plus is the same price here that it is on the bridgecom website. Some of these Btex and walks on radios are the same price, but typically the Japanese, the Yazu Icon Kinwood radios are a little bit higher priced if you can even find

them right now. I can't find the Icon or the Kenwood radio that we spoke about in that last video here but I will share this link blow which is the best down heeld Ham rating for twenty twenty four. I'm probably gonna add more as time goes on. I got about seventeen items in this list that we're going to talk about that relate that are accessories and relate to those radios. Okay, so these are the accessories that I found. Again. These are all for the fourteen radios we talked about. I'm gonna start down here at

the Botom because is the first one I found. I was searching Amazon for the ID fifty two and I couldn't find the ID fifty two or the fifty two plus the new one, any of those at all. But there is a screen protector for it, clear touch crystal screen protector for twelve ninety five. If you tend to carry your radio and your belt and rub up agains

stuff like I do, and sometimes scratch your screen. I scratched the screen on my D seventy four, my kid with D seventy four a few months after I got it, and I was kind of mad at myself for that. But put a screen protector on it. That's a thing right there. These are Lito mounts. I actually got this from an email from Lido Radio dot com. Jim with Leto mounts. He's at all the big hamfests. This is a seat bolt mount for the YAZUFTM five hundred and all FtM radios ft eight ninety one series as well.

You've got the head of the radio remotely mounted up there at the top, and then you've got a microphone holder right beneath it. I've seen some guys that will put a speaker beneath that. Right there, you can put an additional accessory on that, so you can get it mounted to your seat the passenger seat bolt and it comes up next to your console and your vehicle and you mount the radio under the seat or in the

trunk or somewhere remotely like that. But Leto Radio sells their stuff on Amazon, and this is absolutely a great accessory if you're going to be mounting a mobile radio in your car. Forty five dollars for that today, and again these prices will fluctuate. This is an Icon handheld microphone is actually okay, So this is visit the Icon Store. So this is what you want to look at. Here's one indication it's not always accurate, but here's one indication

of if this is authentic or not. Okay, this is being sold by the Icon Store, and if you click there, you can go to the Icon website, the Icom store on Amazon. A bunch of LTE radios there, so you know it's authentic if it's coming directly from Icom, even though you're buying it on Amazon. So there's a speaker microphone for various models. I think that'll fit most of your ID the fifty one, fifty two to fifty two plus. I think that's pretty much what it is. It's an

HM one to eighty six. Check your owner's Manual of your radio to see if that will interface. It looks like a Kenwood K connector down there at the bottom, but it's the one that's there. The pins are closer together, so it's not exactly the same spacing. This one right here is for as a rapid charger for Icom radios. Now this is not name brand, This is not Icon. Okay, it comes from I Freak Tech store IFR eq Tech,

So yeah, that's not from Icon and B Leary. We talked about this on the live stream last week with

Last Weekend with Ray Novac. Sometimes if you get aftermarket products batteries, assessories, antennas, they may not seat properly and may not be completely waterproof, like the ID fifty two plus is a waterproof radio, but if you put an aftermarket battery on it, it may not seal properly to the back of the connectors, the connectors that have a rubber seal around them, And they can tell that because those connectors will start to get corroded at for a

while because they're not being properly covered. So just be be leary of that. There's some Icon batteries out there that are kind of expensive. There are Yazu and Kinwood batteries that are kind of expensive as well. Just be aware that if you get something that's cheaper on Amazon, it may or may not fit properly. Amazon's really good about returns, so try it out when you get it. If it doesn't fit, return it, and if if it does, then great, keep using it, but make sure it doesn't

ruin your radio. Also, so these next few things. This I Freak Tech makes that base station or that base charger desktop charger. There's a BP three oh seven battery that is the extended battery. It's actually on sale right now for thirty four dollars, lowest price than thirty days eight percent off. This is this is the battery for the ID fifty one, two and seven oh five series radios if it'll fit. You know, all those batteries are interchangeable.

This is the extended battery for that, thirty three hundred and fifty milliamp hours for that. Now, again this is not an Icon battery, but it's about one hundred dollars cheaper in an Icon battery. So just be aware that if something happens when you put an aftermarket battery on the radio, it may not be covered under warranty, So just heads up on that. This is the regular battery here, twenty two hundred million hours there. Honestly, for only another

five dollars you can get the larger battery. That's what I would go with now, this right and those are all by the I Freak tech and thing. One thing you can always check see like this one right here is one hundred and thirty eight ratings at four stars, four star average four point two out of five stars, So you can always check the ratings on that stuff too. If it's some kind of a piece of equipment that's got one or two ratings on it and maybe one of them is not so good, maybe stay away from

those I try not to. I try not to find those and put those in these lists. This is a belt clip replacement for the Yazu VX six R, maybe a couple other models as well. Let's talk about that right there, to fit on an FT seventy or FT two seventy. It says, but that Yazoo VX six R has that non movable kind of belt clip. It's not even really it's just kind of like a like a hardened piece of plastic there that doesn't move at all. It's really hard to get on and off of your belt.

I don't that's one of the I love that radio, but that belt clip really needs to go. This is a replacement for that. We talked about that radio on My Best of This is a screen protector for the D seventy five D seventy four from Kenwood that's in the list here. UH speaker microphone for any Tone. Now, this is sold by the any Tone Store, So this is an authentic any Tone speaker microphone. You can go to their store and check out their stuff there, so

that's good to know. There's the original thirty one hundred million emp hour battery for any Tone. Now. This one here does not have USB C on it right there, because I looked it doesn't have USBC. I got my USBC battery for my any Tone radios from eBay when they were brand new. I'm told now that bridgecomb is selling everything they sell. All of their eight seven eight radios come with the USBC battery. I looked for the

USBC battery on here and I found one. Although it is by another company right here, v V Muckson or something like that, thirty eight ninety nine USBC battery. It is the thirty one hundred million emp hour battery for the any Tone radio. So there's that right there. We've got a this is Bridge Comm Systems again, battery eliminator for the vehicle. This is cool. Here this VTech bluetooth

speaker MIC. This will bluetooth. This right here is a charging cable, so it's it's actually a wireless speaker MIC. You charge it up with the battery inside of it via USB C and it will bluetooth to your gmris pro and UV pro radio, so that you have a wireless microphone. That's kind of neat. I just got one of those UV Pro radio has been tinkering with it for the last couple of weeks. I really really enjoyed

that radio so far. It's got some cool features when you connect it via Bluetooth to your phone and use the app. So maybe I'll pick one of these up. Also, sixty bucks for that Bluetooth wireless microphone a little steep, but okay, if you have the need for it, there you go. Now, this is really cool. This for this set, for the same set of radios. This is an APRS

K one pro Multifunction Audio Interface cable. This will add APRS to a non APRS radio like your b Tech radios or maybe even some other analog radios that you want to use APRS four. So that might be worth a video by itself right there, because I would like to try to set that up and see if I can get that to work. Maybe I'll grab that thirty five dollars for that. Okay, there's a b Tech that's a b Tech speaker microphone that again I'm pretty sure it's branded b Tech, so it'll work with all of

your balfank Tech radios. That is the standard KINWOODK connector, so if you've got another brand, it'll probably work just as fine. But that is I put that one in there. This is fun right here. I found this and I didn't know this existed, honestly. This is an extended battery for your It's made by b Tech, but it's for the UV five R series form factor radios. So the UV five x three from b Tech. Is that Triband radio that I mentioned in my Best Hts of twenty

twenty four A. This is that. I've got this battery on my five x three and had it there for maybe three years, maybe longer that I'm not sure. But the one I have is not USBC. You have to put it in the charging cradle. It fits perfectly in the regular five x three or UV five R charging cradle, the desktop cradle. This one has USBC on it, and I'm like, oh, they've got a USBC version of that now, so I'm gonna have to grab this for my five x three, which I still carry with me. It's a

great radio. I really like the tryband feature on that the two twenty radio. I talked about that a little bit in the in the video the original video, and also on that five x three, and also on my thh three fifty from ty T. I have this Nagoya NA three twenty a try band antenna. This is a little bit longer of an antenna then you're used to carrying around on an HT. Probably it's seventeen point seven inches, it says right there, but it full tryband two meters

to twenty and four forty. So if you enjoy using three bands on your tryband radio without having to switch out antenna's, this one is good here. I'd really somebody mentioned in one of the comments of the last video that they wish Signal Stick made a tryband antenna, and I do too. I talked to Richard about that. I think it was at Hamvenchon and they said that they're doing some testing on some stuff, so we'll see that

hopefully soon. So that's the seventeen items that I found when I was searching for those fourteen top radios top HT radios that I did a video about a couple of weeks ago, and again I made a whole list with the radios that I could find on Amazon, and then I started finding these assessories and I'm like, you know, some of this stuff is pretty neat the five x three battery, the Nagoya antenna, a couple of the icon batteries that are not authentic but should work just fine.

You know, use them at your own peril, Use them at your own risk and whatnot, because they might void your warranty.
