Kyle's gonna come on as some sometime after he gets his hiker trailer, his new trailer he

a new Olcraft K one and those are rare. So what what are you guys looking for anything specific at all? For the for the deals that are upcoming or have actually started already. Honestly, go ahead, Rob, Well, I am looking for some I guess camping stuff. So I've got I've got like a backpacking tent, and I've got sleeping bags, I've got sleeping pads. I've got lots of stuff for throwing it on your back and going for a hike. But I don't have a lot of stuff for throwing
it in the car and being able to take advantage of car camping. So I am considering a larger tent and I might even might even go with a cot if I can find one of those extra larg So do you do you when you say okay, so a backpacking tent is something I don't personally own that I need to pick up. I mean I don't need it, but if I found a good deal in when I grab it. But but when you say larger ten or you want something that's that's just put in your pickup
truck and go, or what are you looking at there? Yeah, I'm uh, you know, you guys have been talking up those Gazelle tents and uh yeah, I've started looking at him. They're pretty nice. They they're pretty nice. Yeah, yeah, they're nice. Uh, that's what we'll be using next April at more Expo. Frank just bought one. I don't think he's used it yet. So Kyle and I are both used one. We each have one. We had four of those or three of them set
up at the campsite last last April. So yeah, those and I have a cotton. The reason you said cotton, I thought, oh, wait a minute, so you're looking for a bigger tent. I have a I have their T three, their three person tent, which is okay. I was curious which one you had. I had the T three and then three person intenting terms means like a person and a half with you, Robert, that means like three quarters of a person. But I mean I fit in there just fine. I mean I have no bra I have a cot,
I have a little night stand. I have my bags in the corner, a bunch of stuff over here. I have plenty of room the T three. But they have a T four and a T five. They're a little bit bigger. So but yeah, they're they're great. I really like mine. I've got their gazebo and their their T three, and I really like both of them. Well, they've got one. I think it's the T four plus that looks like it has a vestibule along with it. M that looks really slick. That's you know, and it is a little bigger.
Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about with those tents. I've got a three person backpacking tent, right, It's like a five pound backpacking tent and it's it's a digital rancher only tent. Right, there's no three people
in this right right, Yeah, I'll get you on that one. So but yeah, they've been running spe you know, I'm on their email at Gazelle Ten's, I'm on their email list, and they've been running specials since Halloween basically, So get on their email list and just keep looking at the sales they keep doing. As my suggest, if that's what you end up wanting to go with, it's really slick looking. I do have a question if you know, do you know what they mean by their gosh, what
do they call it? They've got like a special edition. It's an overlanding edition, overland edition. Yeah, so generally speaking, there's usually that means it comes in a waterproof bag instead of a non so you can like strap it to a roof rack or to a bedrack or something. There's one other thing, depending on which model that they that they sometimes included overland editions, and I think it kind of depends on which model is. Like, the
overland edition of my gazebo comes with rain flaps built in. Now you could buy the if you don't have the overland edition, you can buy the rain flaps and put them on later. But the one I got came with a waterproof bag and the rain flaps already there so that you didn't have to add anything to and it has the vestibule as well as well. The other thing
I was really impressed with is they're reasonably priced. You know, when you start looking at those high quality tents, those suckers get expensive really quick. Yes, and these look like they're quality materials, but you know, good value for the money. Yes, I agree, I agree. I mean the first time I met those we were at I was with Giga Parts at the Overland Expo East show in Virginia in twenty twenty one end of twenty twenty one, and they had a big display out there and this this this girl
that was out there. She's the sales rep and they and they had just they had like three models out there, but she would set one up in literally like sixty seconds. She's like, okay, here it is, unzipped the bag and it was done. And I'm like, okay, you've you've done this before. Obviously you know, somebody new might not do it quite that bad. But it takes less than five minutes to set the thing up. I mean they're they're they pop up really quick and they're uh and I
so I started looking at the price tags. I like, I bet these things are like fifteen hundred dollars, but no, they they're not. They're very reasonably priced in my opinion. So, yeah, what they are. I think I can almost stand up in it, right, I think they're like six or five, which is some of them are. Yeah, yeah, yes, yeah, I mean I can stand for yeah, the T four Okay, okay, I can stand up in mind. But you know, I'm I'm not I'm not that tall. But yeah, yeah, no,
it's it's it's all. It's all good. It's all good. But uh yeah it's but I do have to I do have to duck to get into it though. The little zipper on the side is the door is kind of kind of a challenge to get into, or it can be. But uh but yeah, that's that's it's. They're they're good. I like them. I like mine. I've had really good luck with it. And uh, I didn't get the Overlanded. When I bought my T three, it
was brand new. There was no such things the overland Edition. They have those now, so I just went out and bought a a proof bag for it so that I could throw it in the back of the pickup truck and not have to worry about it being waterlogged when I got to wherever I was going. So I saw they had those as an accessory. Yeah, yes, yes, correct, yep. So yeah, so I'm looking for one of those and a cot. Right. It's sleeping pads are great, but getting off the ground is yes, matter, yes, agreed, agreed.
Yeah, I just got the Amazon Special cot. I don't even remember what kind it is. It's like a twenty five dollars cod or something like that, and I've used it four or five times. It's been great every time, so I just you know, and it packs down really small. I keep it with a little camp chair and and and a little one of those
roll top tables that packs down really small. I keep those three things in my truck, and then I just when I want to go use the tent, I keep the tent at home in the garage, I just throw it in the back of the truck and I've got everything else in the truck already, So it works out works out well that way. I'm doing good. I was sitting in the deer blind this morning, so I'm not doing that good right now, but feeling it. I uh yeah, yeah, no, man, that wouldn't much move this morning. I saw some movement yesterday morning and last night, and this morning it was slow, nice, nice weather, forty six degrees this morning. That's the coldest it's been since opening weekend. I mean that's not cold really, but
that's the coldest it's been since opening weekend. So they haven't really started to move around a whole lot out here because they're all hitchhiking really every every Yes, I can't go to work in the morning or come home at night without yeah, three or four, I'm standing outside of the road waiting to jump out. Yeah, yeah, I saw one. I saw one walking down the outside the off the shoulder of the highway as I was driving home today,
packed up everything in the truck. Dogs in the back of the truck. I'm doing seventy miles an hour. Oh there's a dough right there, so yeah, I know what you got. We've got a bunch that we practically hand feed out by the barn. They come out every night for dinner. And the last few days there's been a nice six point, nice sturdy, six point, really heavy rack who's been coming out checking out the girls, and uh, you know he's he's uh, he's busy. Put it
that way. Yeah, I saw a spike chasing a dough yesterday one And I think the ruts just about to set in if it's if it's not just started. But yeah, yeah they're gonna be out chasing chasing doe is the polite way to put it here, uh right in the next over the next week or so. So if you're gonna be out there, that's the time to do it. It might have been a tweet, it might have been a direct message on Twitter, and they said that they had announced like a January fifteenth date for the D seventy five, which I never January fifteenth price yet, No, I didn't even see. I mean, the ex engineering has taken like a thirty five dollars deposit. They do that, Yeah, they do that for they did that with when the nine oh five came out.
They did that when the seven o five came out. Nothing wrong with that, but yeah, I don't Uh, somebody said January fifteenth, and I don't know where they got because whoever told me that did not. In fact, two people told me that, but neither one of them shared a link with me. So I'm not sure. And I haven't gone to look. I mean, I was hoping it would be by Christmas. I'm surprised it's not. ID the ID fifty two is micro USB rechargeable, so it already has a non proprietary charge on it. The brand new ID ID fifty that just came out, which has less features than the fifty two, it has USB C and now the new Kenwood's gonna have USBC, so I think we're gonna start seeing that more regularly.
I'm curious. I'm curious pretty soon. So I don't. I mean, I'm I mixed. I'd like to get one, I just don't know if I'm going to. So I just don't d star that much. But yeah, I don't. So My question to you boys, because I was listening, is you're all talking about tents, and I guess if you're camping with chicks, you want to sleep in a tent. But if you're all going out with man, why aren't you all sleeping in hammocks? That's Adam Adam. Uh well number one. Well okay, so basically right, So two things about that, Yes, and uh yeah it's a
parking lot, but there are trees there. But there's not trees on every camp site, so you might be a little bit where where Shane and Kyle and I camped last year, we couldn't hung it. We couldn't hung a hammock from anywhere. We would have had had to hang it between two trucks. Plus it rained one No, it rained the year before last, not last year. So and I don't I don't really like sleeping in the rain.
But I got to tell you, man, I've camped in hammocks in like sleet storms, snowstorms, rain storms, all that stuff and been fine. You just put a they called a fly tarp up over top of it. Yeah, you could do, but it's just not that much fun when you're wet and cold and trying to cook breakfast and rain's hinting you, sleet shinting to you. Well, I mean it's gonna be wet and cold if you're in a tent. Yeah, you're you cooking breakfast in the tent?
Son, I mean, what's going on? I'll be cooking breakfast outside, you know, in the rain. Well, I got a diesel. I got a diesel heater for my tent, so I'll be nice and toasty in the tent. But uh, I like to I like the security of a tent, honestly, most of these, most of these I know, Well, it's it's more secure than a hammock son, So it's security it is. But I've never had a problem in leaving stuff out at a camp, even stuff just sitting around the campsite. I've never had a problem with leaving
the stuff sitting around the camp site. So uh so, yeah, you can zip it up in the tent and you know, kind of leave it there, and it's a little bit more secure. But I mean, if somebody wants it, they're gonna get it. One way. Tell you, Once you guys go ham hammock camping, you're never You're never going to go back. Oh I've camped. I've camped in a hammock. I I've I've done hammock before and I had a hammock. Uh let's see, yeah,
I don't. I don't own a hammock currently. I would like to have a hammock and in a in the in the correct environment, I would absolutely sleep in him. If it was warm outside, I would totally sleep in a hammock. But if it's cold outside, I like the tent a little bit better. So let's talk a little bit about the coldness. Right, So when you lay on on the ground, you have your your body's on the ground. The ground's colder than you are. It's gonna suck that,
it's gonna suck the warmth out of your body. You must have heard the part about the cot, because we already we already talked. I didn't. I didn't hear the part about the cot. But you under quilts when you're cat uh yeah, yeah, if I have a sleep, I want to sleep. I have a sleeping pad on top of the cot, and the tent that I have has a floor in it. Plus you can, uh sound like you backed to practically in a hotel room. Hotel room, I
can take that difference between the overlain Yeah, camping probably. Yeah, Yeah, it's a hotel room. I can take with me anywhere I want to go. But sure, yeah, what's your tent? I missed that part. Are you talking about the Gazel's or yeah, we talked. We talked about the gazelles. Yeah, that's what Robert was asking about. So, uh, I have one now, I know, I told him. And they're like eight foot long. Yeah, and that's folded up. Man,

I don't know where you're gonna get how you're gonna get that thing from point A to point B, Frank, I really don't that Is that called a sapphire? Is that the name aim of the car? I almost put along in the tooth yet. Okay, is that is that one of those electronical vehicles or no, no, no, no, it's it's a real say. I probably have to pay a penalty in Texas for that supposed to get the credit pie on a regular BASI. No, no, see. See in Texas, you can drive whatever you want to. It's called
freedom. Son. I mean, if you want to drive it. If you want to drive a Sapphire car, you know, more power. I'm okay. I had a another car, and I bought Sapphire because I was doing forty miles one direction every day to office, so that's eighty miles round trip. And I need a fuel economy so that it makes sense for in the city. When I go visit Jason's Dearly's, I pray to God that there's no rain. Right. I have parked it next to the street several
times. You get stuck. You get stuck in the rain, even on concrete. That's right, Yeah, yeah, just about just about. So, man, I gotta tell you. So I went to Dallas, right there was about a week and a half ago, and yeah, I came back and I had I was sick as a dog. Jim can probably attest to me complaining about it all the time. And I was really surprised because I didn't think that viruses existed in Texas. But anyway, I probably got it on the plane. That was they don't. They don't. They don't
really exist down here. But all those corn Huskers out there in Nebraska where you live Ape, they don't. They just don't provide the nutrition that we get down here with all the all the brisket we eat. When he was at work, I don't know, but I'll tell you what I had. I had beef three meals in a row, because I was like, look, I'm in Texas, I'm eating beef, right, that's the thing. Hell, yeah, yeah, that's the way to do it, if you
go to hart A or ten ten fifty barbecue or any barbecue. Now, unfortunately, it was there for work, and so I got off the plane, gotten an uber, went right to the office, was there for like six hours. Then went got in an uber and went right to dinner, and then went from the dinner right to the hotel, got up early in the morning, went right back to the next meeting, and then from there straight beef McDonald's Hamburger's. Is that what you had? No, So we
got there, we ate at some barbecue place at the airport. I don't know the name of it, and I got a briskets in jalapeno sandwich, which was pretty good. And then the next and then dinner, I had a Hangar steak, which I enjoyed very much, and they promised me it was Texas beef, but there was a little bit of a language barrier between me and the server, so I don't know if it was really Exis beef.
And then the next morning at the hotel, I had a beef uh text mex burrito and enjoyed it good good, and I drank a ton of Miller Light while I was down there. And when I should say Gallons, well that's this is where they make it. Yeah, in Dallas, I wrote down, asked the factory. I'm like, whoa, yeah, it's actually it's actually it's actually in fort Worth. But yeah, I mean it's got that's another one where south of fort Worth. There's another one, but
we were talking about they called Dallas. But where we had the meeting was in Irvine, Texas. And then we were in a really tall buildings so you could see like all these metroplexes when you looked out the window. And the guy was telling me, he's like, hey man, you know Rushing Irving or Loas Colinas. It was Irving, Irving. It's not it's not Irvine. It's spelled differently than Irvine. California's Irving. Yeah, they say, but they don't. People from out of town say that. People from
Texas don't. Don't California. This gal I was talking to Irvine's Irvine. She's either she's either from Mark, California. She's come California or Arkansas, one of the two. She's not saying it. Right, it's not Irvine, it's Irving. But that's a stone throw away from me. Man, Yeah, it's right. And Jason like literally yeah, well and well the things we were close to something called Grapevine, and you're grape Vine the amateur
radio. Right, Yeah, next time I do it, I'm gonna have to you have to come out for a couple of days, a couple of days ahead, or stay a couple of days late, whichever. So yeah, yeah, bring your hammock and just sleep. Yeah, sleep in the backyard. That's right. I don't know if you could afford that, Miller lt. That's a good thing about Mary Leide. You know, you get get you get a thirty pack for about twelve bucks. You know, you

with. This is the first product. It's not gonna be all power supply they're gonna have a bunch of different I poked, and what's the next thing they're tackling because they mastered this like Apple, they released a product when it's ready, right right. I don't think there's anything I would change about this other than make a fifty apps instead of thirty apps so I can run two radios. Other than that, instead of switching. Other than yeah, it's
our off quiet though. So they call that line master shack Master because Jim was looking at rolling out the jack Master power supply.
