Yeah, I did a I set up a live stream this morning, and I told it on the app. I did it on my laptop, and I told it on the app that I was going to do it mobile. But when I went to the mobile app to choose that live stream, it said it wasn't available. So ah, but wait, at some point I was live oh am, I yeah, what do you know? So the All Star node died pretty much right when we got here. Good, okay, pretty much
right when we got here. We had it all in the truck all day the last two days, and it pretty much died when we got to boot up. I don't know why. So I texted Kyle this morning. He's my all star Admin Elmer. He is an all star. He is an all star. Kyle is an all star. He really is. And and the theory is that the the SD card went bad. That they tend to do that sometimes if you plug him up and down a lot. And I have another SD card with me, but I don't have an Ethernet cable with
me, so I can't access the Raspberry Pie. So Kyle's bringing me an Ethernet cable. We're going to check it out tonight. Wait a minute, we are you putting just Rasbian on it? Uh? No, him vo ip is is its own. It's got it's its own script that has him. He built into rasbian. Okay. So yeah, because when you first boot up Rasbian, it should just like if it doesn't see an Internet after a while, it should just broadcast its own up addressed yah be able to
see his WiFi that way. Yeah, it's it's h Yeah, it doesn't do that. Um, it doesn't connect to Wi Fi. It doesn't broadcast in an accident, give me talking computers. So it's um yeah, probably going it's probably um, but just the SD cards just because the powers of power to the Raspberry Pie. Yeah, but nothing else seems like it's working. I was messing with. I had one Raspberry Pie dedicated to um that
emulation station so you can play like old video games. Yeah, dude, I had an itch and to play Super Mario World like a week ago. Yeah. So I'm going through like all my SD cards. I'm like, I know it's on here somewhere somewhere, couldn't find because I had one that was just like I had all the games on it and everything. Couldn't find it. So I'm going through all my SD cards and like nothing was working. So I had to remember how to put games on it, and it
still wouldn't work. So I didn't get to play games. Ah'll kind of because the Super Mario World's freaking awesome. Yep, yep, I agree, I agree. What can you do? Yeah, so it's been kind of a morning of disappointments. Now, the weather is fantastic. I can't complain about the weather. A little cold, yeah, Mike, think Mike, things is a little cold. It's chilly. I wouldn't call it cold, but the All Star Node I couldn't get it to work when we got here
last night. The battery it was plugged into died fine, so we plugged into another battery, couldn't get to boot back up. So I guess it's just one twoson when it was plugged in a Little Geek when we were driving, right, but not after we Yeah, not after we got here, So I unplugged it from Little Geek when we're moving stuff. So it's probably my fault. Okay, it got shot unplugging it and replugging it. And they say that, They say if you don't shut it down properly, which
nobody does that because you'd have to log into it every time. How are you going to do that? Yeah, you'd have to. You'd have to ssh into the thing each time you want to shut it down and go in and send it at a command. Nobody got time. Nobody got time for that. So now this is another reason I want to get a Sherry note
installed permanently in the truck so it's there all the time. I was pretty sweet being able to drive down the street and yeah, like it's it's analog so it sounds good, right, I mean it's still over the internet. Yeah, like DMR or if you know any of the other ones. But it's sound like I was using my five dollar boath. No. Yeah, it works with a five dollar boat that's a great thing about All Stars. Yeah, it just works with any radio. Yeah, so it was nice.
So we we talked on All Star the whole way here. Talked to a bunch of you guys in All Star. And there's a bunch of people connected all Star right now, and I'm actually connected. I disconnected it now, but I got the DV switch program connected compliments of November eight. Papa Charlie. He's got his system connected in So if you go to hand Radio two dot com forward slash all Star, that pulls up my Superman page and there's like twenty twenty five people on there right now. And when we end
this stream, I will be back on there. I'm not on there right now because I'm using the phone to stream instead, but uh yeah, yeah, that's where that is. And so I get So we get here. Last night, we set up camp and everything. We kind of pull everything out and unpack all our crap. This morning, I get up and I put the starlinks them all together. There's no starlink Zenia. There's no Starley
coverage in Zenia at all. You pull up the nap and it's like it's like there's a little circle of coverage to the to like the northeast of Zenia. Zenia is here, and Dayton's like I think over here and Dayton's covered, but Zenia is not covered, and I'm like, crap. So no starlink at all. So like, as far as travels go, we're when when you and I have been camping, Yes, I think we're owing three now for the starlink. H it doesn't work here. It didn't work at
Montisano. It doesn't work there. It didn't work at the Grand Canyon. Both Montisano and the Grand Canyon. It didn't work because of the trees. But yes, that's correct. Yeah, yes, I don't care what the reason is. It didn't work. Yeah, here we got we got blue skies and Barfie Burgers here and it's still at working. So, m what can you do? But so I finally updated my uh my my cell phone plan, so I now have unlimited data. I was on this really really
old grandfather clause. So I'm probably gonna stream something. Uh either I might stream tomorrow just here if people are hanging out. Um no, and I'm thinking i'll maybe i'll stream like the outfield the flea market on Friday. I don't know, but I'm paying for it, so I might as well do something. Last year I streamed. Um. I think I did the indoor stuff on Friday and the flea market on Saturday, and that worked out well, so I'll probably do that again. I'll just pick a time, uh

I just I don't like this kind of rapper I like. I like the Maduro's and the more full bodied ones. How is the weather there to transmit? So that's a great question. I'm glad you asked that I have. I brought my eight one eight with me and I set up and antenna last night. I have. You can see the the green hole
behind right here, that's my MFJ forty three foot mask. I've got the pack tenna hooked up to it right now. I had it. I had the K six r K n fed hooked up to it earlier. Solid s nine noise floor on receive. I'm looking actually uh nine plus right, there's a there's a power, there's a telephone power right there. There's a transformer right there. So yeah, that probly doesn't help. But there's gonna this place is gonna be literal with RVs by the time Friday gets here. So
there's gonna be all kinds of RFI here. It's gonna be terrible. I did make one contact on sideband last night to a med out in California. He was doing a poda and you were on five watts, yeah, five watts with the eight one eight. I brought my amplifier, my little MXP fifty amplifier, but I don't have an extra connector to hook the coax up to it. So I've got I've got that I just brought. I didn't get it because you said you said that there the antenna was only handled twenty
wats. Well that well, I have to pack ten up now so we can. But regardless, there's an S nine noise floor, so we can't hear anybody. I'm on ft eight and even ft eight from every band twenty seventeen, fifteen, twelve and ten like I'm sitting on twenty that and there's still there's not a lot of activities, so I don't know if there's a solar flare or what. But I don't know, you know, I really don't care. Sitting at the Green County Fairgrounds. The weather out of here
is beautiful. It's it's if it stays like this through the weekend, we're going to be golden. It's not going to stay like this through the weekend. It's supposed to be like this today and tomorrow, and then it's supposed to rain a little bit Friday and Saturday mornings. Yeah, but I think it's limited to just the morning, so hopefully it clears up in the afternoon. I don't know so, but those of you arriving today should have some
really nice weather tonight and tomorrow. Yea, it is chilly at night though we had the heat on. Yeah, and up until about twenty minutes if I still had my hoodie on. So but I don't want anything to do with the cold. I didn't see it. I didn't think it was think it was that cold. It's cold shorts or jeans weather. I haven't put on shorts yet. I'm wearing tactical sweatpants right now. It's only going to be in the mid seventies at the high. It's not gonna be hot like
tonight's gonna be in the forties, I think is a low. So it's it ain't like last year. Was I get in the eighties, it was it was pretty comfortable, But yeah, this year is a bit cooler. So definitely bring a hoodie, you know, bring a sweatshirt or something, Bring some pants, some shoes and socks. Prepare to not be hot.
Yep, yep, it's definitely warmer. At home than it is right here, and it had I not checked the weather before I left um because I was just thinking, all right, it's it'll be like every time I've been here it's been hot. I checked the weather and it's like loads of fifties. I'm like, oh, hell, now I'm bringing my hoodie and a pair of pants. There was one year years ago when it was at hera that I forgot to bring any cold weather clothes and I bought him vention sweatshirt
in the in the flea market because it was so cold. I was like, I gotta do that, so I gotta go buy it. I got it. And last year I came by and I went to go buy a T shirt on uh was it Saturday morning or Friday morning? It was early I think it was Saturday morning. First thing I went to go buy a T shirt and they were sold out everything but small. Because my buddy, yeah, well I'm not. But my buddy David, when he's like I
can't make it this year, go buy me a T shirt. I said sure, And I went over there and I'm like, you guys are sold out? Did you print? Oh no, we printed the same amount. And I'm like I don't think that's true. Hopefully they printed more this year. I'm gonna go buy a T shirt first thing this year because I didn't get one last year. But that is I got it. I got an embroidered hat the first year I was here. What was that twenty nineteen when we all came out here. Yeah, and the hat is like so big
it just looks goofy. So I never wear it. I don't. I don't really wear hats that much though. Yeah. I keep getting though. Every time I cut you go to hand face, you get a hat, right, Yeah? No, I got an Icom hat. I don't even know how I did that. They were handing those out last year, were they? Yeah? No, because I think I just got it. Oh damnication. Maybe well they don't know. They were handing out care packages last year. And I got an icomb hat last year. But I wonder I
have known it somehow. I have an icon hat, and then I don't know. I have like a million hats now. Shane says, they're they're any good breweries up here. Yeah, we went to a brewery years ago. Of course, we'll have a troll pub on Saturday night, will have local drafts there from local brewery, so you'll be able to sample more than just one brewery by going to troll Pub. So that's that's that's my plan. But there's a brewery right here in Zenia too, Yeah, there is.
I think we went there last year. It's called like Devil Something I feel. I think we went there last year. It might have been in twenty nineteen. I don't remember. But everything closes early. We got here, we were ready for dinner at like nine thirty or ten, and like everything is closed. Devil Wind Brewing. That's it, Devil Wind Brewing. Okay, yeah, that's right. Yeah, I remember that place. I'm pretty sure we stopped in there last year. I don't remember now, it

It took us all the way north through Oklahoma into the Droplin area, came through Joplin, through um Saint Louis, and then through Indianapolis and then up that direction, so we bypassed Cincinnati completely. Driven up through Cincinnati in the past. Usually I'll take I forty, I thirty through Little Rock and then I forty and through Memphis across the Mississippi. That's the way I'd normally go. But for whatever reason, it's
uh, it took me a different route this time. So I'm okay with not having to drive through Cincinnati. Yeah. Yeah. I seventy is always under construction and is always a traffic jam. First flight lands at twelve in Columbus. For who Shane twelve today or twelve tomorrow we talk about you're talking about tomorrow. I think, I mean he has a second flight. I think he's try and stand by because he's an airline employee, so I think he's gonna try to get on that one. I seventy was fine. You
know, we had a fairly uneventful drive the whole time. Not a single traffic jam, not a single traffic jam. No. There was a couple of places along the interstates where they closed the right lane or closed the left lane, but there was so few traffic everybody just kind of merged over and it went on through. So we had even in Indianapolis. We drove through in an appolis at through a little after five o'clock, where you think would
be the harder rush hour. Nothing, it was fined on through. We didn't have any trouble getting a goal, so other than they just the long ass drive. But you know, I have five flights lined up. Lol. my seventy three at the at the camp side. Any battery depends on what you're trying to do with it. I mean I did for the longest time when I when when kind of Poda first started taking off and I was doing podas, I was using my eight ninety one and a ten amp hour battery, And that was when you'd have to call CQ for an hour just to get ten contacts. I'm only running sixty nine percent power, but still that's I've got three battery boxes with me. My Giga parts box with the twenty four am hower, and my other two boxes both have fifty
amp hour batteries. So go bigger, go home. And then if you augment it with solar, you know, we've both got solar panels out right now, solar panels out. I've got it. I've got a thirty am bio eno hooked up to my pan it over there, I've got I've got a thirty amp my battery box, because a thirty amp bio eno in it here powering my my eight one eight one eight on on transmit on FT eight
five wads puts out pulls like two amps. Power in eight went eight for for a hundred lifetimes, and then I and then I got one hundred and twenty white solar panel on the ground. So we're good. know how that is, but last year it was okay. Haven't tested it yet today, so I don't know. But outside it's fine. We're live streaming on four G right now, five G.
