Timmy Gatling shares the heart-breaking account of being kicked out of the group he formed and restarting his career as a songwriter, producer and recording his own solo album. Timmy also talks about his recent conversations with Teddy Riley and Aaron Hall, and the prospective of reforming Guy after more than 30 years. Timmy Gatling is a Songwriter, Producer, Singer, Record Label executive and the co-founder of the RnB group Guy and New Jack Swing.
He joined Halftime Chat to share the story of how Guy came together, how they created each song on the album, and what led to him leaving Guy just as the album was about to be released. We also get to hear about his relationship with Teddy Riley, Aaron Hall and Damion Hall.
