Episode description

Discomfort is a part of everyday life that we often shun. Learn to embrace and seek discomfort to transform your life.

My guest on this episode is no stranger to discomfort and actively lives in his discomfort zone.

Matt Royka is the founder of InnerStrength. He has a BA in psychology and a Masters in Exercise Science and many certifications including A.C.E, N.S.C.A, A.H.F.P.

What's more, Matt is a Tai Chi Instructor and a Commercial Hot Air Balloon pilot who has competed in marathons, triathlons, and multi-day adventure races.  He trains clients from pre-teen up to 98 years old and everything in between!

In this episode, Matt and I chat about mindset, his approach to fear, and navigating personal tragedies, including:

  • Loss of his son
  • His struggle with muscular dystrophy
  • Once the mind is shaped by a new idea, it never regains the same shape
  • Give into the discomfort. You realize how fun and different and cool it can be.
  • Leap and the net will appear
  • Set an intention for one thing you want to accomplish each day
  • The main reason to work out is for the mental benefits

Also, Matt shares an UNBELIEVABLE story about mindset. I can't wait for you to hear. Join me for this inspiring conversation with Matt Royka!
