Skin of Evil

This week the crew of the Enterprise find themselves on a mission to save some of their own. Counselor Troi and Ensign Ben crash lands onto a desolate planet and upon beaming down the away team find their path to her blocked by a malevolent entity who wants to use them to escape that place. This entity wants to make everyone it encounters feel pain and sadness and therefore continuingly to play games with the away team and mentally torments Troi. In time, he succeeds in causing the worst pain of all. Will the away team be able to save Troi? Will we meet, quite possibly, the most unlikeable Chief Engineer? Will Riker take a ink bath?
