The Habs didn't have a great week! In 3 games played the Habs won NONE of them, but at least they made it look convincing! For the most part... Since that game against Ottawa? Ouch. However, we did get to see Owen Beck make his debut as a Hab! Coming up from the OHL to dress in the bleu blanc et rouge.
Well, well, WELL. The Habs played two games since the last time we recorded. With one furious game against the Panthers with plenty of questionable calls on the ice by the officials and then something of a shocker against the Leafs where the Laval Canadiens took the win in overtime! That, and plenty of other talk about the Habs, especially about Caufield!
Well! The Habs seem to be turning it around! And whether or not you are on Team Tank that might be the best of news! Since our last recording the Habs have gone 3-1 against some unlikely opponents, especially with only playing 11 forwards for a handful of games! We talk about the recent successes, the ceremony before the game against the Predators, injury updates, Kent Hughes mid-season presser, and how utterly dumb the Flyers and Ivan Provorov are.

Happy New Year! Unfortunately, it is not all that happy for the Habs at the moment as they go 0-2 to extend their losing streak to 6, and their winless streak to 7! Habs manage to pick up 5 out of 8 points which definitely has a certain demographic of Habs fans STEAMING. Regardless of that, the top line of Caufield-Suzuki-Dach continues to impress in mighty ways. So we have the Habs, more about Musk, and a LOT about the US midterms! The regular season is finally here! We finally get to see what the Martin St-Louis era has in store for us, as well as seeing all of the lads develop! There are a lot of new faces, and a lot of uncertainty, but as the Habs have already showed us in a young season, they will not be taking anything sitting down. And that's a wrap on a regrettably awful preseason! But, as MSL said himself, the preseason is a stress test, and now we all eagerly await the start of the regular season on Wednesday! As the name implies, training camp is FINALLY underway! The Habs invited an eye popping 74 players to their camp which includes 9 goalies. We could not record at our usual time, so we also talk a little about the preseason games so far, and how expectations for Slafkovsky are, uh, WAY out of touch.

The worst kept secret in Habs hockey is now out in the open, Nick Suzuki has been named Captain! This coming during the mythical Habs Golf Day which has a history of naming the leadership group among the players. Also, there is big news regarding Price, and a couple of contracts, and much more! Like those atrocious ads, BLEGH.
Uh oh! Some technical problems on Dave's end meant that people will be able to see more of his recording space! A lot of golf happened this week. Veronica weighs in on the Monahan trade, and on the women's hockey side of things Montreal has a team! The Montreal Force!

The Free Agency Frenzy has officially started! The Habs are having cap troubles, but despite this have signed a number of depth players as well as kept one of the surprises from last season! The biggest news of the past week may be the trade of Jeff Petry and Ryan Poehling to Pittsburgh for Michael Matheson. Given the news, it's obvious that Veronica was not able to record tonight.
