I honestly hope you get back everything you lost. Cyrus, your family, time, even your mom. I'm sure she's out there somewhere missing you, too. Meter's running. 23rd Avenue Northwest and Ballard, please. Katie, wait! Just let her go, Brindley. She's right. It has to end sometime. You'll never get rude of her anyway. Focus on getting to Juno and finding Cyrus and...
This is for people who have already listened to all of 6 Minutes and are caught up on Out of Time. For those episodes, there will be spoilers. There are kids in this world who are different. Special. They fell through a portal and got lost in the 80s. And now their time is running out.
Hello, it is Jess Fisher. I'm here with series creators Chris Terry and David Kreisman. Today we'll be talking about the 19th episode of Season 4 of 6 Minutes, out of the pages of Holiday's origin story. With us today, we have superfan Felix. Hey. Hey, Felix. Hello. Felix. Hey. Okay, Felix had an amazing audition. You told us a really cool story about...
your name. If you want to share, you totally can. If you don't want to share, we can cut this part and keep moving on. How do you feel? Yeah, so... I was listening to Six Minutes. Badger was like automatically my favorite character because he's awesome and we love Badger. And then I also started listening to Becoming Mother Nature and Cupid and the Reaper. And so when I was like picking a name for myself.
I was like, Badger's my favorite character, but no one's going to take me seriously if I'm called Badger. So Ryan Shanahan plays Felix. And I like that name. So I went with Felix. I love the name Felix and getting that email made me so happy. That's so cool. Felix is such a great name, but so you're a six minute super fan. How long have you been listening? I started listening around like COVID.
and then i was listening to remy's life and then i listened to remy's life six minutes and mars patel and then after like i had finished all those i just like stopped listening until last december i think It was, I'm like, oh, I remember. There was this show that I really liked. So I started listening to it. And then about halfway through my re-listen of season two, there were ads for Out of Time. And I'm like, oh, my God, they're making a third season? Brinley? And then I...
forgot how big of a character Brintley was. And I'm like, I remember her, but like, ooh. Then you realize there was a rewind show with your three favorite people. Yeah. It's a whole universe. So you've been with us for like five years. Yeah. Wow. With a little break in the middle. Yeah. I've listened maybe... 50 times. I have completely lost count. I love it. So do you just love Badger or do you feel like Badger? I feel like Badger. Except for the running part.
I wish I could copy and paste his personality into me. How do you feel about the jump when Badger goes from 12-year-old to 18-year-old? I was listening and at the end, there's sometimes like the actors or Jess is like, oh, you've listened to this episode. Let's go. There's rewind. Right. And it was like, hi, I'm Ryan Shanahan and I play Badger. And I'm like.
No, you don't. No, you don't. No, you might be Ryan Shanahan's dad. We like to say, though, even though he's now a man, there's some young Ryan Shanahan there in his voice still. Oh, yeah. The character is still the same. Yeah, exactly. What's tea-ing? What's cooking? What's cooking? What is cooking? Dave, you go first. What's cooking?
Well, I mean, today, you guys will hear this later, but our thoughts are with everybody in LA and the horrible fires going on right now. I have a lot of friends out there. Including our Jess. Thinking good thoughts and hoping for the best. Yes, including Jess. Yes. Which, honestly, I'm coping with humor. It's not great. It's really, really scary. Today is a particularly bad day. It was bad yesterday, but it's even worse today.
Yeah. Listeners are not listening on today. And today in our universe is January 8th, which is a really horrible day. Luckily, I do have Wi-Fi and I do have power, which I am very, very lucky to have. And that could literally cut out. in the middle of this recording. We were on the fence about recording today because of my power and Wi-Fi situation. But as long as we have it, we'll use it. A rewind with just Dave and I would be an unfortunate episode.
People would be like, this really doesn't work. It really takes all three of us people. It really does. It would be like 11 and a half minutes long. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, it's so... I mean, from yesterday to today, like, it just was like, oh, yeah, there's a wildfire. It happens all the time. And now there's the Eaton Fire. And I've reached out to all my friends to let them know they can come to me because I'm in a relatively safe area.
We have our go bags ready to go. We know where we will go. But it's just a lot. It's a lot emotionally to deal with, honestly. But go bags. So, listeners. I don't think these natural disasters are going away anytime soon. So I think it's good to be educated and prepared on. on go bags and what you need to do in these sorts of situations, evacuate, whatnot. So there's a lot of information on go bags. Feel free to look them up.
I have all the essentials and also like a card game. Like Disney or Kana. Just be like, if I have to go somewhere, at least I'm going to play a game, I guess. Do you know who I think has go bags? Who has go bags? Jimmy and the Badge. Jimmy and the Badge, definitely. I think we've heard their go bags. What's the unessential item in each of their go bags? Plastic sunglasses. Plastic sunglasses. Sure. Fake badges, yeah. Like in Blues Brothers. Do they have the big fake nose on them too?
Yes. Disguises. Yes. Yeah. Something they can play their theme song to make sure. Yeah. Maybe like an old school boombox. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. Well, Jessica, I hope you stay safe and I hope every, you know, it's- Yeah, I'll keep updating everybody in general. And Felix, I'll let you know how everything goes. Have you experienced any major natural disasters? Not really. I don't think. But you've had some big snowstorms. Yes. Big snowstorms. Yeah. Well.
It stinks. Yeah. Anyway, we have some really fun mailbags. Yeah, let's hear them. Let's do it. From Eymar, I believe that is how their name is pronounced, in Six Minutes, Season 4, Episode 15. Holiday says something to Casey about Brindley having an 80s hairstyle. My question is, does Brindley actually have the 80s hairstyle? I'm going to say maybe.
I would imagine that for performing during the concert that she definitely teased her hair a lot. I think that she and Katie both probably had big hair for that performance. Maybe even wearing neon sort of outfits. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Goomy bracelets. I could see Brindley, like, if she's in an environment where the style is different, she's going to figure it out and do that. Like, she's not going to be not fashionable wherever she is. It's easy to imagine her using, like, three cans of...
Hairspray. Yeah, yeah, I agree. Okay, great. Here's another great one from Corey. I'm loving Spoon 4, but I'm genuinely concerned for what's coming. There have been a lot of twists in the first 16 episodes. I just want to know, what is coming next? Because if we get this many kind of answers in the beginning... I want to know what's coming next. I can't take it.
Because if we get this many kind of answers in the beginning, what is coming? Cue the crickets. It reminds me of in Smoot where Dr. Solstice says, everything you think you know, you don't know, or something along those lines. I feel like we're being lured into a false sense of security of what we think we know, and then everything will be...
twisted and our jaws will hit the floor. So I'm totally excited for what's coming next. Corey, peace, love and oboes. Don't worry. Nothing's going to happen. We're done. We're done. I think we just go back and like, that's enough for the season. I was like, I pitched, I was like, you know.
This is unusual, but I think we should pack all of our twists into the first 15 episodes and then just coast the rest of the way. Just coast the rest of the way. Yeah, exactly. Exactly, yeah. I have a bunch of unanswerables, real quick ones I want to go through. Just real fast because there's just so many. And by the way, so many people are shipping Casey and Penn.
I know. It's like, it's everywhere. I've been getting that too. Yeah, it's everywhere. They are fun. You know, it's interesting because originally when we thought, when we conceived of Penn, he was a lot younger. And even I think his voice, I think Judah's voice was sounded pretty young, but now, you know, Judah's I think 17 or something like that. So now it certainly seems like they are age appropriate.
I think they are age appropriate. Maybe he's like a year younger than her or something. I think that's right. I'm just going to run through these because, you know, we have a lot to get to. And that first one goes back to Iowa Chapman. Dave, you ready? I'm ready. I'm assuming it's what happened to Iowa's foot. It's never really explained. Or do you explain it? I can't remember. She was just born with some sort of a situation with her foot.
Yep. By the way, Jess, there is people here discussing in very long, long detailed messages to us on Apple podcasts about, you know, when we had our, when we had our discussion about free will. So people are discussing free will. I love that the youths are really digging in. Oh, that's Free Willy.
Free will, yeah, yeah. Not free willy, free will. Oh, free willy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's really, really fun. We're having the philosophical debate in Apple comments. I love it. Free wine. And Jessica, here's another one just for you. This is for Jess.
This is from RGYTV. I heard you singing Wicked lyrics in Rewind, so I was wondering if you liked Wicked, what's your favorite song? Mine's Defying Gravity. And what did you think of the movie? I loved the movie. I thought it was great. I didn't like the color balancing. But that's because I'm a snob. There's a lot of that out there. Snobs? Well, people who don't like the color bouncing, yeah. Oh, okay.
Yes. Yes, us. But my favorite song is No Good Deed. You'll hear that one in the second movie. That is so good. Is that your favorite, Felix? Yeah, either that or Defying Gravity. Or Dancing Through Life. Dancing Through Life is really good. That was fun, too. Dancing Through Life is so great. I like For Good. I think that that one's a killer, too. We haven't heard that one yet. Here's a really good question. In season one and two of Rewind...
In the listing and podcast, it goes from one to 205. But in season three, it goes 300 to 375. And then in four, it goes 401 to four, you know. And so. Oh, I get that. Yeah. Okay. So they're probably wondering why. It doesn't start with 101, which I think would have been confusing in the very beginning. But do we want to, Dave, you want to explain how the numbers work? Yeah. I mean, internally when we...
When we do shows, we do it by season. So it'll be the first 10, you know, season one would be one, one Oh one, one Oh two, one Oh three. Season four is four Oh one, four Oh two, four Oh three.
On six minutes, we just started, you know, with one through, first of all, we had no idea how long it was going to go. And we didn't really think there were going to be seasons. We didn't know we were going to be here four seasons later. We certainly did not. And we certainly didn't know there were going to be seasons.
We thought we'd just go until we stopped. Yeah. But when we picked up again to kind of differentiate, then we started with 301 because it kind of made sense that that was the third season. Really, season two was kind of something we figured out afterwards, too, because we didn't think we were stopping at...
a season one and a season two, we kind of broke that. Or like when we got to a hundred, we were like, eh, let's just call this season two. Yeah. So then we were kind of scrambling from there. It's a little confusing. I agree. Yeah. But yeah, that's right. You know, some things, sometimes they turned out to be more successful than you expect and they go longer than, you know, when are we on? What are we on?
How many years ago did we start? I think we actually started in 2018. That's, you know, a cute six, seven years. Did you say it's a cute six? Yeah. I like that. Brief, a cute, yeah. Great. I think we should take a little break. We should take a break. All right. Hi there! Jumping into your feed to give you a huge thank you. Whether you've signed up for a subscription, used our free educator resources, or simply told your family or friends about our shows, you're making a huge difference.
And now we're on a mission to get to know you better. Right now, we're running a listener survey to make sure we're bringing you ads and partnerships that you actually like. Just imagine, what if you heard ads that you didn't want to skip? What have you heard about stuff that you use or want to use or that you never knew about but that could be a total help? So.
Help us out by going to gcmshows.com slash survey and taking a super quick survey to tell us more about yourself and what you like. Once again, that's gcmshows.com slash survey. Thank you. Boy, that was a long break. You're selling a lot of stuff, Jess. I really am. Yeah, you are. Always be closing. Always be closing. Always be closing. ABC. Did you guys get that one? I did. No, I was saying.
That's funny. Our listeners love Glengarry Glen Ross. Exactly. Yeah. All of our listeners are huge fans of Glengarry Glen Ross. And really the whole oeuvre of David Mamet. Felix, would you actually do us a huge favor and ask Ivan if he can come say hello? Yes. Ivan, hello, are you here? Hello, Felix. He came in through the ceiling this time. Did you see him, Jess? He came in through the ceiling.
That was actually a little creepy with all the arms happening. It was like a spider. I like to mix it up. You know how it goes. Especially when we're doing two shows in a week. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah, that's true. I need to entertain myself. That's true. How are you, Ivan? What's happening? What have you been doing the last two days?
Oh, I've just been sitting here waiting for you to ask me to come on your show. Okay. Oh, well. I just sit and wait. You know what you'd be really good at? You'd be really good at knitting. Oh, yeah, that's true. That is true. I could make 70 sweaters at once.
Hmm, this could be a side gig for me. All right, yeah, Ivan, tell us. Episode 419. What happened? Episode 419. Katie and Brindley arrive in Seattle, and Katie says a hasty goodbye on her way to see her parents. Brindley tries to let it go, but decides to follow her.
She stops to watch Katie going up to the house, but when the door opens, it's not Katie's mom. Cyrus gets a glimpse at the reality of Angel's life inside Whittier Corp, and Angel warns him not to make a deal with Dr. Whittier. Dr. Whittier arrives to kick Handel out and introduces Cyrus. To Adelaide. Again, I wish I didn't. I should have just listened to the episode before I looked at the outline because I was just scrolling and I was like, oh, Adelaide. Adelaide.
I guess she's going to show up. I guess so. That was really, really, really exciting. That was fun. Yeah, how does it feel, Felix, to know that you're the only person that knows that in the fan base? Insane. Yeah? Yeah. Are you part of any of the communities or anything? On, like, Wattpad, yeah. Yeah. And so they don't know what you know? No. Are you taunting them? Are you taunting them?
No, I actually haven't, like, updated my thing in a while. Are there people on Wattpad that have been on Rewind before? I don't know. Oh, yeah, definitely. Definitely, yeah. Like a select group. Chris has a follow-up. What's Wattpad? What's Wattpad? Exactly. Wattpad is notorious for, like...
For the writers to be so dedicated that it doesn't matter what happens to them, they'll keep writing. Literally, like there was a there was a fan fiction, like a, you know, Harry Styles fan fiction where it went, you know, it's. I stopped posting weekly for like a couple months. And then the person responded and they were like, oh, sorry, I was in jail. I'm back. It's like Wattpad writers are known to be the most dedicated writers in the world. That's cool.
Well, yeah. Did we sit? Is Ivan still here? Did he go? Ivan, you still here? Oh, Ivan's just listening. He likes to hear about Wattpad. He's always here listening. You know that. Oh, okay. Okay, cool. Yeah. Wattpad. But now I'm leaving. Okay. Peace out. Peace out. Bye. Peace out. All right. You know how this works. We're going to go through the lines of dialogue and you get to choose your favorite. Yeah. Sound good? All right. Here we go. Katie, audio drama moment.
Welcome to the Seattle Tacoma International Airport. Now exiting the Seattle Tacoma International Airport. On behalf of the entire SeaTac staff, we extend a warm welcome to all passengers arriving at our terminal today. And a fun... So audio drama. That is audio drama. Or soap operas. Exactly. Brynn, nice singing with you. But I didn't know you'd bolt off the plane and hop in a couch.
without so much as a nice singing with you. Was it, though? I was trying to help kidnap you at the time. Brynn, later, Alaska. Nice. And we got guard. How about you open the door for me so I can see for myself? Of course. Go right in. I want to know what it feels like. To be...
influenced by Angel. Because it feels, it doesn't feel that aggressive. It just feels sort of like, uh, oh yeah, that's what I actually wanted to say in the first place. Yeah, these aren't the droids you're looking for. It's exactly the same thing. Yeah, well, you know, like I've talked to people who've been hypnotized in like...
hypnosis shows, you know, and they would say like, well, I know I'm not a chicken, but it just feels so much easier to just be a chicken. Really? Yeah. So they know what's going on. Yeah. Like there's part of their mind that knows what's happening.
But it just feels much easier. It's like the barriers are broken to do what the hypnotist is telling you to do. Wow. That's how I heard it described. Don't they say, too, that they pick people that want to be hypnotized? If you don't want to be hypnotized, you won't be hypnotized.
Yeah, a lot of times they'll bring – because I've seen them a few times. They used to come to our college and stuff, and they'd bring up 10 people, and they could sort of tell who was more susceptible to it. Right. Wow. Their arms stay up or something. That's weird. Wow. It's weird. It's weird. Brain's weird. We got taxi. Mom, you want to go see your granny? Yes, maybe. Not yet. Can we just wait here for now? Suit yourself, but the meter's running.
I recognize that voice. Have you used him before? Yeah. Have you used him before? I think that he was on Fourth and Inches. Yeah. It sounds like that. Yeah. Brynn, she goes up the walkway. She's headed up the walkway. Oh, no. She stopped. Is she crying? Huh. She does have a heart. Go on, Katie. You can do it. A little play by play. Loved it. Angel from me.
I came to deliver a message. From who? From me. I'm listening. I love their, like, sibling kind of, like, ugh, I hate you! Yeah. Cyrus experiments on children. How'd you sleep, Cyrus? Oh, just great. Who wouldn't enjoy sleeping where you conduct experiments on children? Dr. Whittier really is the worst because he's like, he's all friendly and here's your soda and everything. But then he's making him sleep in this horrible, scary nursery. There was an extra bed.
Yes. Oh, I'm sorry. Is that where they put you? Yes. Because I ordered them to. There's a Holiday Inn just like next door. Yes, I told them to put you at the Holiday Inn. It was a bit of a mix-up. Yeah, exactly. You'd be in the presidential suite. Well, Felix, what do you think? So where are we going? You get to choose. It's all up to you. Where are we going? Oh, this is hard. It sounds easier when you're just listening, doesn't it? I know. When you're listening, you're like, yeah, whatever.
Probably either up the walkway or the from me. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. I agree with that. I would say from me would be my... Yeah, I like from me. Okay. From me, all right, let's build a trophy. From me. Let's build a trophy, I gotta measure it. Oh, very cool. I need one of those. We lost ours and it's been really annoying. You have no idea how big or small things are?
It's very, I don't know why. It's pretty often where it's like, I want to know. Every year I get like 15 of them for Christmas. And they all disappear within like a month. Why do people give you 15 tape measures? Because they know that I'm always looking for. Lucas, my son, steals tape measures and takes them and does stuff and builds things, and then they never show up again. I'm always looking for a tape measure. Tape measures and nail clippers. Those both disappear. Yep. Oh, really? Yep.
So, Felix, what's the world's greatest category? Just a question. Just a quick question. Oh, well, there's only one that could possibly be in the running. And that would be best sound design. Yeah. Oh, boy. That was amazing. Really good. Really good job. Sure. We got airport. Welcome to the Seattle Tacoma International Airport. Now exiting the Seattle Tacoma International Airport. So good.
Taxi. Where to, kid? Hi. Do you accept Deutschmarks as a form of payment? Where to, kid? Yeah, where to, kid? Boots. Is the prisoner inside? Those are good boots. Those are good boots. Car. Here you go. 23rd Avenue Northwest. Which house? I feel like there was a lot of cars in fourth and inches. Because I was listening and I was like, oh yeah, cars. Typically one of the things I always do in a car when they're driving is throw in a couple of signal. The blinkers. The blinkers, yeah.
That does the magic. They're just driving in circles. Driving in circles, exactly. The blinkers are the audio drama version of a green screen behind them. Door. What did he do to you? Not to me. To my sister. Angel. Meep. Yep. Angel. Well, Felice, what do you think? This might be a little easier. It's a short list, but you know. It's a short list. Yeah. Probably the door, because like...
Before the door actually opened, there was like a buzzing in the background that was like annoying, but really cool. And then there's the beep and the door. Oh, that's awesome. I was like the timing of that moment was cool. The dialogue and him entering. It was good. It's always good when you can give it to a door. It's good. It's always good. Footsteps and a door.
The old standbys. Old standbys. So true. Old standbys. Okay, Jess, you lead. By the way, I have an exciting announcement to make. Oh, wait. Jess was literally taking a breath. Sorry. By the way. Remember, about 10 episodes ago, I mentioned that there was a special sound effect that was coming up that we had to talk about. And I wrote myself a note and placed it by my computer. Okay, what is it? It's an episode 2420. We're almost there. Okay. Okay. Oh, next episode.
The very next episode. You're all going to be so disappointed because it's not that great. But the note is staring me in the face. I'm so excited about some things that only Dave and I know that are coming up that I can't wait to see Jess's reaction. Just for me. They aren't twists, though, because as we established earlier, there are no more twists. Yeah, they're all done. As we've been told, there will be no more twists.
Yeah, when Brinley saw her grandma-type figure, it was like, oh, she just needed a new eyeglass prescription. And that's what the plot thing is. Oh, no, it's her. Okay. Got it. Jess, you want to go fast or slow? Fast. Okay, ready? Callback. Oh, you always do the good callback. Callback. Yeah, it's really good. It wasn't as good. I have to say last week was our best. It's going to be hard to beat.
Last week was really good. Yeah. What do you think, Felix? The best bit of the entire show, right? Yeah. Yeah. I was going to say, I feel like we need Dave to have a good bit. We need to make a good bit for Dave because, Chris, you've got the sound design and then we have the category. It's got to be something. Hey, listen. We make our own bits. I'm trying not to be insulted by the fact that you don't think I have any good bits.
That's what I said. We make our own bits. I mean, there is the Ivan wanting to murder all of humanity bit. That's true. That's Ivan. That's not your bit. That's true. That has nothing to do with me. Yeah. That's true. That has nothing to do with me. Right. It's like the people that are watching the Superman trailer and keep saying like, why do they keep showing that?
Mild-mannered reporter, Clark Kent. Exactly. What does he have to do with any of this? Yeah. Why is that guy even in the show? Why is that guy even in the show? I know. Why this mild-mannered reporter? All right. So we only have two. We got two. Yeah. You ready? All right. So Felix, it's a good, it's an easy decision. You got 50-50 chance. Well, maybe it's hard. Okay. All right. The nursery.
You gave yourself up, remember? Didn't expect they'd stick me in the nursery. Do you know what that place is like? I do, actually. Oh. You've been here at Whittier Corp? A long time? Just about as long as I can remember. You think? So does anybody remember? I know we talked about this, Dave, in the edit. We're never actually in the nursery. We just hear it talked about.
We were there. No, we, someone was locked in there. Casey was there. Casey was locked in there. Right, right, right, right. Yeah, it was super creepy. We heard like weird nursing music. No, no, no, no. No, that's what I mean. In this group. Oh, yeah, yeah. We don't hear it here. We talked about it. And what I really, we talked. I think briefly in the edit about do we need to be in there because it was one of the creepiest six moments. Six moments. Six moments. Six moments.
Of all time, I think. Like when we put the classical music going. And we could hear her through the door, I think. We were like on the other side of the door. We could hear her yelling. Yeah. And I remember when we put that in way back, we're like, is this too scary?
It was pretty scary. Nah, we'll just write some cannibals into another show. And there was a moment I thought about, because as I was listening to this episode and thinking about the nursery, I thought I'm watching that Apple show Silo. And there's a moment where she... The character's walking in this sort of like basement thing and she starts to hear Moon River being played from like a way in the distance. And it's that exact thing. When you have this sort of like...
quiet song played in a really dark place. It's like so scary. There was a thing going around the other day. I don't know if you saw it, Jess. Someone was in the back of an Uber and they played Uptown Girl, the Billy Joel song. Just listen to it.
And they said, you know, this really freaked me out. There's something sinister about this song. People are like, what are you talking about? And then they're like, I think that this generation is so attuned to like oldies being played in horror movies and scenes that whenever you hear like...
A cheery oldie. It instantly makes you think something bad's going to happen. I haven't seen that. That's funny. I love it. Adelaide. Here's the second one. What? Cyrus, I'd like to introduce you to someone very dear to me. Hello there. Holiday? Who's Holiday? My name is Adelaide.
i listened to it as like as soon as like when you sent me the things i listened to it as soon as i got the email and then i listened to it again during school and then even though i knew it was coming i still was like freaking out yeah and my friend was like are you okay and i'm like yeah
All good. I'm fine. Did you have to explain the story that wouldn't make any sense to your friend who hasn't listened probably? Right, right. See, Adelaide was a girl, and she got sick, and her dad tried to make a robot to replace her. But he couldn't make the robots, so then he made mutants. Right. Anyway. I have so many questions. I just have so many questions. And that's all. Anyway, which of the two are your favorite?
Probably the Adelaide one. I figured that was good. Yeah, I figured that was good. Yeah. I think that might win another category, too. Yeah. Should we take a break and see if we're selling, I don't know, robots? Yeah, that's a great idea. And we're back. Wasn't robots. Nope. Shucks. Shucks. Good deals in the new year on robots. Exactly. Yeah. What's next, Jess?
Favorite moment. Favorite moment. Oh, also, who's the voice actor for Adelaide? Oh, yeah, her voice is awesome. It's Val. I thought it might be. She's changing it a little bit. Yeah, she's trying to sound young. Yeah. Oh, that explains why they sounded the same. Yeah. Angel uses her power. I'm not at liberty to say. How about you open the door for me so I can see for myself? Go right in. Yeah. I love it. Brinley-Cady taxi confrontation. In or out, ladies. Later.
She's still avoiding her feelings. She is. Brinley's play-by-play. So weird. I remember her house being gray, not yellow. She must have had it painted. Oh, look! See that girl getting out of the cab? She lives there. Only she was taken away ten years ago. Taken, like, kidnapped?
Kinda, sorta. But she's safe now, and she's finally home. And the coolest part? My grandma isn't expecting her, so it's a surprise reunion. Isn't that so awesome? There she goes! She's headed up the walkway. Oh no. She stopped. Is she crying? Huh, she does have a heart. Go on, Katie. You can do it. She did it! My grandma's about to open the door and see her for the first time after all these years. Ooh, the door's opening.
I can't see my grandma, can you? Oh, here she comes! She's stepping onto the porch. She's... She's... Wait! Who the heck is that? You know, my kids have really been into, Lucas has been getting really back into Doofus Mertz. Oh, yeah. Phineas and Ferb. Phineas and Ferb. And there are moments where... Phineas and Ferb were the sister sounds a lot like Brindley. Yes. Candace. Yeah. Yeah. As he was watching it, I was like, wow, this is like that moment. Busting my brother. Mom.
Exactly. I love that show. It's a very good show. It's a very good show. Okay, we heard Adelaide. Let's hear it one more time because it's worth it. Cyrus meets Adelaide. Cyrus, I'd like to introduce you to someone very dear to me. Hello there. Holiday? Who's Holiday? My name is Adelaide. I like that here at the very end. How do you imagine Adelaide dressed, Jess?
Actually, for some reason, I imagine her in like a school uniform. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. That's exactly how I was pictured. Why? I don't know. I don't know. Well, I think because her dad is Dr. Whittier, so it feels like she's going to a private school, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like nothing but the best for Adelaide, right? Yeah. Yeah. Juno Academy. She's got like, you know, her hair is like perfectly back and she's got a bow in it. Yeah. Well, what's your favorite of those four?
Obviously Adelaide, but we did that for the last category, so probably the play-by-play. Yeah, the play-by-play is good. Yeah, I love the play-by-play, and I love the cab driver getting into it. This is the best part of his day. Something interesting. Yeah, totally. What do we got? We got MVP. Yeah. I think Brinley. It's a good episode for Brinley. I think it's a great episode for Katie. Cab driver is great. What do you think, Felix?
Yeah, oh gosh, this is hard. I'm thinking either Brinley or Adelaide. Yeah, it could be Adelaide. Yeah, it could be Adelaide, right? That's true. Because her presence is very on top of everything. Can somebody take it with just like a minor little, like a little few sentences like that? Two lines? Yeah. I think so.
That would be a record. I think I'd like to do that. I think that'd be really awesome. I don't think we've ever done anything like that before. Well, maybe when we gave it to Carl had more lines. Yeah, Carl had a few. And Carl's impact, you know. Yeah. All right. Is everybody in for Adelaide? Yeah. All right. Yay, Adelaide. Good job. Nice, nice. Jess, you got some notes. Yes. Well, it's just my unanswerable questions. Okay.
So my first unanswerable question, yeah, I have two. Does Whittier want to prevent Adelaide's death? And if he does, how would he know about it? Great. There you go. And my second question is, who the heck is that? Oh, who's in the house? At the door. I was just doing Renly's line. Who the heck is that? Ah, right, right, right, right.
I literally cannot think of who that could possibly be. Mm-hmm. Yeah. No idea. Earlier in one of the earlier rerun episodes, you all mentioned that, like, you're going to be recording with somebody who wasn't on season three. I think. And off the top of my head, the only person I could think of was Dr. Z. Dr. Z. Wow. Good thinking. It is possible we were talking about Adelaide, though. I can't remember.
Okay, spoiler. Well, how's it a spoiler? I'm kidding. I'm just saying something. I do like the Dr. Z. That's smart. Yeah, that is smart. That is smart. Felix, were you excited to listen to, like, go back? And, like, first of all, how many episodes did you have to listen to to get caught up, like, to be able to? Three. So you're three episodes ahead of everybody else. That's amazing.
That's so sick. Don't sell your knowledge. Don't sell your knowledge. Don't sell your money on the black market for that. Don't do like a Twitter leak. Yeah, we've had people offered like thousands and thousands and thousands of shmeckles for that. Of shmeckles, yeah. Who's the guy from Willy Wonka that offers all the money for... Oh, yeah. That's his name. Really creepy dude. Yeah. I do not know. But...
Felix, do you have any more questions or thoughts or feelings before we... I had one and then it was like went away. Oh. It just disappeared and floated away from you. It happens all the time to me. Yeah. Oh, wait, I remember it. I might have emailed it to you, Jess. I can't remember. But when Dr. Whittier gets killed, you can hear him in the background. Like you can hear him recording his will and you can hear him saying, this is Dr. John Paul Whittier.
Mmm. Dave. Interesting. Hmm. Huh. Crickets? Somebody messed that up, huh? You know it's always a good distraction. I appreciate that. That old, like... Everybody knows that Jude's a nickname for John. Yeah, everybody does that. Yeah, only in certain parts of England. That does give me pause about the will. You don't remember my favorite actor, John Law? It makes me curious about the will, more curious about the recorded will and if that will come into play at all.
Well, Felix, thank you so much. Thank you so much. Thank you for being such an awesome super fan. And I'm so glad you could join us on the show. Your sound is awesome.
