Episode description

This week, I wanted to talk about something I think so many people struggle with after graduation, during their first jobs, or honestly at any point in their 20s: how to actually figure out what you want to do with your life.

I talk about why I think we spend so much time obsessing over what could be or what could've been instead of paying attention to the things already right in front of us that are trying to point us somewhere. The projects that excite you. The conversations you actually look forward to. The things that come naturally to you that you keep dismissing.

I also talk about the idea of finding your "through line" and how the experiences, jobs, interests, and moments in your life eventually start connecting in ways you can't fully understand yet.

In this episode, I talk about:

  • How to figure out what you actually want to do
  • Why you can't connect the dots looking forward
  • What your first job is really teaching you
  • How to stop comparing your path to everyone else's
  • Why curiosity matters more than certainty
  • How to use what's already in front of you to start building a life that actually feels right for you

If you've been feeling lost, stuck, overwhelmed, behind, or unsure of what direction your life is supposed to go in, I really hope this episode helps.
