改編自安徒生童話。海底世界有許多人魚們，他們成年時才能上陸地瞧瞧。年紀最小的小美人魚最著迷地面的世界，每天迫不及待時間到來。上岸那天一見鐘情船上的王子，並且拯救了發生船難的他，卻因為不能被發現身份而讓另一位女孩替代。小美人魚回到海中後，與海底女巫用聲音交換了能走路的雙腿，上岸後王子卻不記得她。
