Most SEO agencies cannot keep a client. Do you know why? It's because they can't get results. So they lock you in with long term contracts so they can keep getting your money even though they aren't getting you to the top of the search engines. Long term contracts are always a scam. If you're not at the top of the search engines, your SEO agency is wasting your time and your money. This episode will talk about other common SEO scams, and explain how scammer agencies stay in business.

A look at the history of SEO. When we understand why SEO has changed the way it has, we understand how it may change in the future; when we understand how it will change in the future, we can futureproof our SEO efforts (this is why our clients have been at the top of the search engines for years). And, we'll talk again about how the disavow tool doesn't really do anything, and share a bit about AI, too!
"Guest posting" and "link outreach" are popular methods of getting backlinks, but they can be very dangerous. This episode explains why you shouldn't rely on them, and how to do it like a real SEO agency instead.
Everyone thinks it's awesome. Are they right? Here are things no one told you about running an SEO agency. 1) You get lumped in with scammers (because most SEO agencies and consultants are scammers). 2) You will do a lot of educating. 3) Everyone wants to "pick your brain." 4) It can be pretty expensive to get started 5) Clients get mad after algorithm updates. 6) You need to be good at sales, or hire salesmen.
This episode talks about why SEO myths exist, such as "content is king," and why the search engines want you to believe these myths. We also give an example specifically showing that content does not matter when determining rank, and we talk about how to rank a website for any keywords you want, including keywords that do not even appear on the site (because content doesn't matter). We also talk about if there will ever be a day when content actually is king.
I share with you 4 things that I experienced while running my SEO agency. 1) A colleague bought 80 copies of an "SEO gurus" book to get an hour of consulting. Guess what the "guru" told him? 2) Something you need to look for when hiring an SEO person. 3) Watch as I struggle to explain to a different colleague that all SEO (excluding local) is exactly the same. 4) Learn how local SEO used to work, and hear how we got a client to the top of the search engines for local keywords.
Some backlink providers offer one time payments, or lifetime backlinks (pay once and the backlinks stay online forever). This is always a scam. There is literally no such thing as a lifetime backlink and they are 100% lying to you and scamming you. In fact, most of these "lifetime backlinks" stay online for less than one year. At best, you will get a small benefit and then it will disappear. At worst, your site will get a penalty. Learn the details about why in this episode.
Most SEO agencies and consultants are scammers. Here are six of the most common SEO scams, and how to identify them: 1) Actually doing nothing 2) Guaranteed results 3) Listing clients, and lying about who clients are 4) Fake case studies 5) Saying linkbuilding is worthless 6) Claiming to be Google certified in SEOThis is just the beginning of our discussion of SEO scams.

You just bought a bunch of authoritative domains and are ready to host them. Make sure you do it correctly or you will get deindexed. In this episode we discuss the best way to do it, why IP address is important, why you need to avoid things like "SEO hosting," and the best way to choose hosts that won't rip you off.
If you want to rank your clients' websites, you need to build their authority. Literally 99% of people do this wrong. The only reliable way to build authority is by running your own portfolio of authoritative domains that you control. This is how my SEO agency has kept our clients at the top of page 1 for the last 10+ years. This is the reason other SEO agencies hire us to build backlinks for their clients. As we mentioned in episode 1, there are very few people in the world who actually do SEO....
In this episode we look at 3 types of SEO penalties: keyword stuffing, overoptimization, and spammy backlinks. We talk about how to identify them, how to prevent them, and how to recover from them. We will also talk about negative SEO, and discuss a case study where it happened to one of my clients, and how we recovered from it.
