Yesterday, it was announced that Donald Trump was being indicted by a Manhattan Grand Jury. No doubt, this move is raw political prosecution against the former president. It appears he is being used as a convenient scapegoat to normalize the idea of criminal persecution of political opponents. Trump could very well win on appeal but the damage, which carries national repercussions, might already have been done. We need to ask ourselves if this legal maneuver will help heal our nation or will it create greater division.
