Episode description

Half the worlds GDP is reliant on nature, but how can we appreciate it if we don't know it's worth?

We were privileged to talk to Paula DiPerna, a renowned expert and leader in environmental strategy and carbon markets. Paula is a Special Advisor at the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), which is the leading organisation on global company environmental disclosure. She was also instrumental in establishing the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), the world's first cap-and-trade system, covering six greenhouse gases.

Paula recently wrote a book, 'Pricing the Priceless' exploring how science, policy and capital can transform how we value natural assets.

We got Paula's insights on various areas:

- Science, Policy and Capital to solve the climate crisis

- Working with famous oceanographer Jacques Yves-Costeau and international climate agreements

- Dissecting carbon markets and how they work

- A preview of her new book!
