Brussels’ new tone signals focus on investment phase of Green Deal

When European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen stood before EU lawmakers and successfully made the case for a second term, she struck a different tone on the Green Deal, her signature climate initiative that included regulations on shipping. The shift means the effort is still alive but moves into an investment and implementation phase.
