Prepping for the Nuclear Apocalypse

When the nuclear apocalypse happens, grammar is obviously not going to be the foremost thing on everyone’s mind—so NOW is the time to get prepared. My advice is simple. Consider the word nuclear. Notice how it’s spelled: N-U-C-L-E-A-R. Nu-Clear. Not, and I repeat, absolutely not, Nu-Cular. This is one relatively rare instance of a word in English being spelled exactly like it sounds—and yet, it’s abused all the time. So, when you’re scavenging for supplies ten years from now among the dystopian rubble of some former Meijer grocery store, you can stare dramatically at the horizon and sigh about the good old days before the nuclear apocalypse.
