Life in the Gospel | Romans 9:19-26
Romans 9:26-27 wraps up Paul's answer to the unbelieving Jews as to their rejection of their Messiah. Even though they have rejected Christ, God's word is faithful and He is Just. His sovereign choice was to use Israel to bring about the Christ. It was God's prerogative to show His mercy as well as His hardening to those who would self-harden to accomplish His will. An angelic being appears to him & shares an overwhelming message about the future. Zacharius expresses doubt because of the how unusual it is but that's no excuse for doubting God. Contrast this w/the faith shown by Mary & Abraham when God shares unusual news w/them. Notice v.37 "nothing's impossible w/...
