Is Another Shutdown on the Horizon?

Once again, Congress is negotiating a short-term funding bill as the risk of a government shutdown looms. The Oct. 1 deadline is in less than two weeks, but lawmakers say that they have settled on a continuing resolution that would fund the government until mid-December,but they have yet to determine exactly which provisions will be in it.
