The problem of suffering is universal, yet rarely discussed in church. When Jesus was on earth one of the primary aspects of his ministry was healing. Not only that, but he also taught his disciples to do the same thing. In addition, he told them, to teach new converts to heal the sick, so healing is a major part of our ministry. Life is filled with many distractions; the fear of man, the practical things of life or simply feeling overwhelmed. The trouble is, if we're not careful, all of those things can take us away from "the fear of the Lord". It's a funny one: every Christian believes God wants to bless his children, but nobody agrees what that blessing looks like! Team is super important. Jesus chose not to do everything himself by having disciples. The Apostle Paul had an expectation that church wouldn't be a one man roadshow. We're all on a journey in life, but the most important journey to go on is moving from orphanhood to sonship. This begins at salvation of course, but there are many Christians today living with less than Jesus paid for. Though they are positionally a child of God, they tragically don't live that way.
