Celebrating Pride

In this episode, Jeremiah and E discuss Celebrating Pride in he month of June.  Pride is about authenticity and being proud to be oneself.  It is a celebration of life and community and it is inclusive.  Pride is also a protest of the status quo.  We approached this conversation seeking to make sense of how the broader world orients towards the LGBTQ+ community and celebrations of Pride, and the work that is left to be done.  Pride is a gift to everyone.

• tolerance - apathetic, dismissive, ignores dignity
• acceptance - equitable, mutually respectful, the right to take up space
• celebration - relationship oriented, encouraging, communal
