Hey Sox fans. It's been 10 yrs. since the Sox gave John Danks a ridiculous 5 yr./$65M contract extension. Danks did not live up to the contract and the Sox parted ways at the beginning of 2016. We explore the ramifications of that deal and why it has possibly scarred the Sox from spending premium money on pitching. Also, do the Danks extension ghosts doom a potential Giolito deal?
