Music historian John Lynskey is a guest on the Goldmine Podcast to thoroughly describe Gregg and Duane Allman's path to the Allman Brothers Band with the release of four early recordings — The Allman Joys, Hour Glass and the 31st of February. We'll sample some of these early songs (including a breathtaking version of "Melissa") and also discuss the upcoming release of a live concert recording in Erie, PA in the 2000s — “the best show no one’s ever heard” — and the Trouble No More collection to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Allman Brothers Band.
