Welcome to another riveting conversation at God's diamonds in the ruff.  This episode is a soul-stirring exploration of forgiveness, demonstrating that it's more about our spiritual evolution than the person being forgiven. As we navigate this discussion, Catherine shines a light on how resentment can put us in a self-made prison, blurring our unique spiritual fingerprint and giving others undue power over us.

Have you ever thought about how body language outshines words in conveying profound messages?  Michael brings this intriguing aspect to life, teaching us to understand the unvoiced expressions that say much more than uttered words. We also delve into a thought-provoking parable of death, revealing a fresh perspective on revival. Here, we learn how the spirit breathes life into the flesh, leaving us lifeless without it. Our reactions could be roadblocks to our spiritual growth, but responding with kindness can make us immune to our enemies.

As we conclude this enlightening session, we touch on prayer's pivotal role in fostering unity and paving the way for revival. Catherine & Michael leaves us with an empowering message that we are all diamonds in the rough, destined to strive for greatness and success. The journey of spiritual revival and personal success can be challenging, but with faith and persistence, we can overcome it. So, join us on this enlightening journey, and find the motivation to carve your path to spiritual revival and personal success.

The Power of Forgiveness

Speaker 1

Hello and hello , welcome back to God's diamonds in the rough . Amen , we are so excited to be with you today . Amen , we hope all is well . We hope today has been a good day for you , honey , can you say it ? And ?

Speaker 2

I'll just say , you know , every time , you know I'm just super excited about today . You know , if we're doing this thing a little bit different , today we're doing it on Zoom . You know it takes a little bit , you know , of getting used to doing things new , but God says be ready . You never , always , because you never know which way he's going to use you .

Amen , and you never know which way or which platform he's going to use you on Amen , amen .

Speaker 1

So we wanted to get everything opened up just a little bit , because we have a special guest with us on today . She should be coming into the room here in the next minute or so . Her name is Elle Edwards and she is an author of the founder of you . What is this ? You are Iyer and the Blue House . She's also a Jesus geek , amen .

So as we wait , we're gonna go ahead and pray , so that way she has plenty of time to say whatever it is that the Lord is giving her , to say what y'all think about that . We hope that's all right with you , because we're gonna go ahead and get it in .

Speaker 2

Amen , amen . Let us pray Definitely follow our Lord and our Savior , jesus Christ . We just come to you right now , welcome you into the room . We pray in the name of Jesus that your Holy Spirit with us rest in us and do us .

We pray in the name of Jesus , asking you just to have your way throughout this day , throughout this broadcast , throughout anything that you put forth in us to do . We pray in the name of Jesus , cancelling any assignment or the enemy that will be sent back into the picture where it came from .

We pray in the name of Jesus for the one that said pray for me . We pray for the ones that just do not even want to have no desire to know who you are . We even pray for the one that just don't even know how to pray . We ask that they just call out to you what must they do to be saved ? We pray in the name of Jesus again to have your way .

In Jesus Christ's Holy Name , we do pray , we say thank you and we say Amen Amen . Amen , amen , amen .

Speaker 1

She still hasn't gotten into the room yet , which is okay , but as soon as she gets in we will cue her in , amen . So let's see and y'all excuse us , from time to time you might hear here , you know , some kind of odd conversations just because we're looking at a screen , which we typically don't do Amen . But you know , as she comes in she'll be in Amen .

So while we're waiting for her , honey , got anything on your mind today ?

Speaker 2

What do I have on my mind today ?

Speaker 1

Because we've been talking about unforgiveness and forgiveness we are in in this season . We're talking about revival , amen . Revival in regard to our spirits , revival into that , you know , reaches on into recovery , and on and on , and on and on . So , you know , is that that's better ?

Speaker 2

Yeah , got me on the spot . I would definitely say that forgiveness is definitely a key to success and I'll say that because you know , if we , if we don't forgive somebody , how we can we succeed and advance in our calling ?

Speaker 1

Right , amen . Forgiveness is more for you . Yeah , absolutely it's so . It is more for you , and if you don't forgive them , then you wind up putting yourself in the prison . This is what I've learned over the years , even in the last two episodes , or last three episodes .

That we've done is that you know it's really for you , more than anything else it is for you , and you know , if you allow people to get the best of you , then those people will have you , mm-hmm , they will have a hold in you , mm-hmm , realize it if , whether you realize it or not , mm-hmm , they will have a hold on you and you know , even when you put

it like that , not only would it have a hold on you and it might looks like you know that they got a thumb over you . Yeah .

Speaker 2

And you know it's almost like when they get that thumb over you is distorting your fingerprint Because you think about

Letting Go of Unforgiveness and Embracing Revival

a fingerprint . For example , okay , if you take your thumb and you put it on something that makes a carbon copy of it or a visual picture of it , but I commit back behind you and I put my finger print over top of it .

It's gonna be too intertwined and you cannot distinguish whose print is whose , because it's gotta be worked out and pulled this out and extract this and extract that , and it takes a lot of work to extract one fingerprint off of another .

Speaker 1

Yeah , now wait , there's something . Mm , that's a word , that's absolutely a word . Because because that fingerprint is about your mark , you know it really is . It's about a mark that you leave behind in the earth . And if your fingerprint isn't yours , if they don't see your fingerprint , then whose identity are you carrying ?

Mm-hmm , mm , jesus , man , that's a word , ain't it ? Whose identity are you carrying ? Amen , we got to let things go as much as we wanna hold onto things , and you know , and make sure you're vindicated and all of that , you're hurting yourself more than you're hurting anybody else , anybody else . Amen , amen . We're just waiting .

We're waiting for Miss Edwards , and I don't even know if she's gonna get on this show , this episode in particular , but she might not get on . This one might be another one , but you know , I just like this , the way that this conversation is going , amen .

We've had a guest on Audrey but Dutton , excuse me and she shared her story with us in regard to , you know , coming out of darkness and into the light and how . You know how dark and how deep that pit can get .

Speaker 2

Yeah , I mean I would definitely say you know , when I heard you know her testimony of how God and what God had brought us through you know , it makes me realize that , look , it does not matter how dark your season is or how dark the path that you go down , god can still shine a light on it and he can use any situation , whether it be for any darkness ,

to bring light to not only you but bring light to other people .

Because you know , when we go through things in life like what she went through , you know people can say , you know , oh that you know I'm good with how I am , but at the reality of it is no , you're not , you're not okay when you're walking around in darkness and you walk in so much darkness that you end up wound up , hurting yourself or hurting somebody

else . You know it takes a toll , it does . And just imagine you know we have a saying that you know when you walk and just picture in your mind when you walking in a dark room , if you don't turn the light on and you go into an unfamiliar room , now I tell her , tim , you gonna hit something your toe and it's gonna hurt . Yeah .

Speaker 1

And you know , even with that same , with that same , on that same line , you know , if you are in a dark room and all of a sudden somebody flips a light on it , it oftentimes it hurts your eyes Because where you are in that moment it's unrecognizable .

Because you know , when we first wake up , or especially if we wake up suddenly , you know and we're like , oh , all of a sudden the light hits us . It's like you gotta focus in on where you are . You gotta you know , you gotta kinda look around like wait , where am I ?

You know what I mean and that's what it means , that's what it looks like when you know , when you're in a dark room and somebody flips a light on all of a sudden , it's like what you know what I mean , and and and and you know that's . That really is a picture of revival , because you was in darkness and now you can see all of a sudden .

And that can be unnerving , sometimes it can throw you off , it can be off balance and you just kinda gotta , you gotta get I don't wanna say comfortable , I don't wanna use that word comfortable , but you gotta . It's almost like you gotta reposition yourself . Yeah , you got to reposition yourself for where you're going next .

Because once you can see , you can re navigate , you can rethink the path that you're on . And that is the beauty in revival is that in revival you have an opportunity to start again . Because you say revive , you know you get to start all over again . What was dead is now brought to life , amen . So the choice is really up to you .

The choice is up to you .

Speaker 2

And just to reiterate on something you just said and it you know , we got to understand too . You don't even have to be in a dark room and turn the light on and get blinded . You can be in already the bright room and step in a room that's even more brighter , and your eyes got to adjust .

If you just take for a minute , you look and go into your house and you're sitting in your living room and it's in the wintertime and it's snow on the ground and it can be bright outside , but the moment you open that front door it's even brighter . And we got to understand that .

Sometimes , you know , when we step into a new era of our life or a new growth in our life , that's just like equivalent to opening that front door and seeing the snow . And we have to , we have to readjust our eyes to the course that God is about to take us on .

Speaker 1

Next , yeah , absolutely yeah . So you know what it boils down to is that it's about you and him . Amen , it's about you and him . And you have to start somewhere . Amen , you've got to start somewhere .

And when you're dealing with unforgiveness , when you realize that you know that forgiveness is for you , that's like walking into a brand new door , brand new season , a brand new opportunity to start again .

Because you know , the reality is that we all get hurt somewhere in life and you know we can allow that hurt to hold us down or we can allow that hurt to push us forward . Because even when you hurt , you got to find out why did that hurt me ? You know what I mean . What was you know ?

It's an opportunity for you to turn to him not to them , but to him and say why did that have to happen to me ? You know what I mean so well . Sometimes what happened to me wasn't for me , it was so that you'll have a testimony for somebody in your future . Amen , it ain't always about us , wouldn't you agree , michael ?

Speaker 2

I would definitely agree because , you know , if you think back to our very first episode , very first season , you know we were coming out of Ecclesiastes 3 , which is a time and a purpose for everything under the sun , and we had to realize that sometimes we had to go through things to bring the light to somebody else that's not saved , that's going through things

in life that they don't know where to turn to . They had to see because most people you know they have and I'll use this term loosely you know they had the spirit of Thomas . He does not believe it until he can see the hose in Jesus' hands or be able to thrust his hand into his heart .

See , some people , they want to actually have to actually see the things that's going on . So sometimes God has to use you so they can see .

Speaker 1

Sometimes , if you don't , if you got to see it , sometimes you might just miss it . You know what I mean . Sometimes people are waiting for . They're waiting for you apologize . They're waiting for you . I need them to tell me sorry in order for me to get past it . Well , what if they never tell you sorry ? Are you never going to get past it ?

That's the reality in unforgiveness . If you don't decide to let it go , it can totally consume you . It can consume you , Amen . And this is what is wrong . This is a big problem in the body of Christ . We're supposed to be . We're supposed to be . Look , what did Jesus do on the cross ? He said , Father , forgive them , for they know not what they do .

We ought to be that . This is our attitude , this is supposed to be our mindset Forgive them , for they know not what they do . But we in the church , we're holding on to things , to grudges , we're holding on to people's mistakes , we're holding on to what they said to me , what they did to me .

And because we're holding on to it , the church can't really do what we have been mandated to do . You know what I mean , honey ? I mean we've been mandated to be the image and walk in the likeness of him . This is what we're supposed to be doing , but we are not . Simply because we we look at ourselves first before we look at him .

Speaker 2

And you know , and nine times a ten , you know , that's that lives up with us Exalt .

Speaker 1

To a degree . I guess you could look at it like that , but I mean , self-exaltation is real , really more about you know , lifting yourself up higher . You know what I mean ?

I what I'm really talking about is just the fact that you know , we are so busy looking at what they did to me and looking at what they said about me that we can't see what Jesus says about us and who we are , because , at the end of the day , really doesn't matter what they said to us , doesn't really matter what they did to us , but what did Jesus do

for us ? Because the same thing that they said to us and the same thing that they did to us , we did it to him at some point in our life and he forgave us . So we gotta learn how to forgive one another .

And another big person that we need to learn how to forgive is to forgive our self , because we are imperfect people trying to live before people who are imperfect . But God says that you are perfect before him In his eyes , like we are perfect , amen . This is why we have to renew our minds so that we can see what he sees .

Speaker 2

Jesus come on somebody Something you said earlier . You know . The forgiveness is definitely for you , because if you can't forgive yourself , how can you forgive others Absolutely ? It has to start with you . You have to be , you have to be humble enough to forgive yourself Absolutely , because if you don't forgive yourself , how can somebody else take you Right ?

If you walking around with guilt and shame of your past and you walking around with your head hung down low , do you think somebody actually gonna walk up and say , hey , hey , let's talk about something , right ? They not , because your body language is going to speak out what your heart is really feeling .

Speaker 1

Right Amen Absolutely .

Speaker 2

Your body language can actually bring more darkness than your words .

Speaker 1

Yeah , your body language can speak before you even open up your mouth . Yeah , yeah , Cause if you pissed off and you mad you're most you ain't even gonna approach them . I ain't , they ain't gonna approach you . You know what I mean . But if you have a humble spirit and you're trying to figure out why what's wrong , you know what I mean .

If you have an art against your brother , he says go and don't even think about coming to me before you go to them . He's serious about this and he's serious about how we live as his sons and his daughters . Amen . We think it's about people when we think about .

Think it's about this , that and the other , but it's really about the fact that you know the only way that we reach the loss is if we find our savior , and it's more than just going to church , it's more than just , you know , doing all of the right things , Because all of that can become religious .

It's about us really finding out who he is , Because when we find out who he is , we find out who we are Amen , we find out who we are and then , when we find out who we are , then we see how small , how little the things that we as people in our flesh make major , how little and how really insignificant it is . You know what I'm saying , I mean .

I mean and it's so funny especially I also speak to married people , For married people , you know , especially the ones like me and Michael , we've been married for we're going .

It's coming up on nine years and I sit back and if I sit here and calculate it , every mistake he made , every mistake that I made , I mean if we didn't choose to let it go , I mean we're at the mistakes and the failures will be greater than the years that we've been married , 365 days for nine years almost .

That's a lot of mistakes that you can make , but you got to choose to let it go .

Speaker 2

And you know , just elaborating on that . You know , if you holding down grudges and counting okay , she did this , she did that , she did that , or vice versa , he did this and he did that and he did that how can you enjoy the manner of woman that God has put in your life if you count in flaws , okay .

So if you want to count flaws , let's do this thing . Have Jesus on the back , on the side , right there , sitting and counting every time that you did things wrong .

Speaker 1

Yeah .

Speaker 2

Amen

Body Language and Kindness

. And you know , and something else I say earlier , and I just call it a word on this , is you know , when we talk about the body language , it speaks more than words . Okay , use this example for a minute . Okay , when something is dead , other animals smell it before you do .

That's why you see so many buzzards flying around and you be like , well , I know the presence of the buzzard means something's dead , but I don't smell it . See , your body language is just like that . People can see your body language before the stink comes .

Speaker 1

Right now . Yeah , I like how the fact you just used to . You know the that that parable with you know dead because of where we are in the season . We're talking about revival . Look , this is a reality . It's you know , death . Flesh is death . This is what we have to understand .

This is a hurdle that , as believers , we need to realize is that the flesh is dead , and when we are operating in the flesh , we are operating in death . We're operating in what is that ? We're operating in something that has no life , so that flesh won't bring forth life . Do you understand ? Yes , we , god has given us .

He's wrapped up us , wrapped us up in flesh , but when he says , what is it ? Our father , who are in heaven , hallowed be thy name . Thy kingdom , come of thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven . Yes , we are wrapped up in flesh , but we have the ability , because we've been made in his image and after his likeness .

We have the ability to learn about heaven , allow it to become a part of who we are and bring heaven into this earth . Amen , so we don't have to operate in lifelessness , because this is what flesh is it is lifeless without the spirit . Jesus , come on , hear me . He took his breath and he put it into dirt .

When we leave this earth , when we die , the body goes back to dirt , the body goes back to dust . Without life , without the spirit , without your breath , the body cannot function . Jesus , come on somebody . Your flesh cannot function without your heartbeat .

Speaker 2

And you know , even even stepping a little bit further than that , okay , somebody , and just speaking about this for a minute , you know that it's not even a physical death , because we can have the life , but we're just existing in it . That's why he used the parable of the life , the death and the resurrection .

See , the resurrection is the new way in his sight , mm-hmm . So we are stopped living or just existing , and those things have to die off . There would be to be resurrected with them .

Speaker 1

Yeah , I mean wow , I mean that's deep . That's deep for me , cuz you know we , we , Cuz all of that boils down to this also , feelings . We are so easily led by how we feel and and look . When you don't do that , it takes people like what ?

When you're not led by your feelings , they really don't want nothing to do with you because , because you're moving off , outside of what they did to you , you're moving outside of what they said about you . You're moving outside of , or moving outside of , what you Logically in in the world , from a worldly perspective . You supposed to be mad at me .

If I'm mad at you , you supposed to be mad at me . Don't say nothing to me , don't say one word , don't even look at me . This is a world's perspective . But when you don't do that and you know that they got an audience , you know they mad at you and you still look at them and smile . They really don't . It makes them even matter .

When you can move outside of the boundaries , you can move outside of what is expected in regard to a worldly view , amen . When you're moving in the spirit and you're smiling at them , anyhow , you're still hugging on them , you're still loving on them , you're still there . Anyway . You're still not fighting your . You know You're concerned , you're praying for them .

You're doing this , doesn't it ? it makes them want to run like hell You're they run like hell the opposite , the opposite direction because they thinking you're supposed to be fighting With me , you're not adding any fuel to the fire .

So therefore , I don't want nothing to do with you Because I got this against you and therefore , look , if I continue to strive with you and I ignore and I don't give the enemy power , then that means that this fuel that I got , this rage I have against you , it can't survive .

I Wanted to survive , I wanted that , I want to be , I want to vindicate you , I want to fight you , I want to do this and I want , but I can't because you're being nice to me . I can't because you're you're , you're you , because You're not acting the way that I am . So I can't come at you and be validated by it . You know what I mean .

People want to just reason to come at you , but if you don't give them a reason , then they can't continue to go on with how they feel and and . So , rather than them staying , they'll leave . Come on somebody , they will leave quicker than they will to stay and you know it's a saying .

Speaker 2

It's a saying you know Kill them with kindness , jesus . Because you know , when you kill him with kindness , you make the enemy mishapable .

And I knew this for myself because I'm dealing with something at work I had an issue with well , I wouldn't say an issue , because it just rolled off my tongue , rolled off my back , but had somebody say something to me and I usually walk up to them and I give them a fist bump or whatever . Every time I see them when I go to work .

And I went one time and they looked me like what are you doing ? What do you think you're doing ? Give me a fist bump . I said forget it . Where's my shoulders off ? Walk right on past them , spoke to somebody else and this has been going on for the last couple of weeks , if not a month , and you know this person over here speaks to me .

Now , every time I walk past they walk back , going down the other floor . And you know , when you kill them with kindness and you don't stoop to their level and add fuel to the fire , eventually the fire will be put out , yeah .

Speaker 1

That way . There's something . Look y'all , god just gave us a show today because what we had intended , it just didn't happen . Amen , look , what we got to know is that our plans ain't always his Hallelujah . So you know , just be flexible . To him , amen , and follow him , because this was not our plan at all .

We intended on this young lady being here , but God obviously had another plan . So , miss Elle , she will be here . It's just God's timing , not ours . Hallelujah . So , amen , receive this show as really the leading of the Lord . Amen , michael and Catherine had nothing to do with it . We just was a part of

Prayer and Encouragement for Podcast Success

the plan . Jesus , come on somebody . So let's go ahead and let's pray . Father , we thank you so much for your grace and your mercy . Thank you , god , so much for who you are . Thank you so much for allowing us another opportunity to be able to be a witness and be a blessing to you . Father , continue to perfect this show .

Not this show , god , but this podcast , god . Pray , lord , that you would draw . Those who need it , need this word . They need us , god , they need you , god . Use us all to your glory , god , as we go forth in your name to do what you have called us to do . We bless every ear , we bless every heart .

Father , bless , bless , bless as you see fit , all around the world , lord , that all would see the diamond in us , god , that we can see the diamond in you , that we can see it in us . Thank you , god , for your grace again and your mercy . We bless your name . We pray this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus Christ .

We do pray Amen , amen and hallelujah , amen , y'all being encouraged , amen , hallelujah . And , like I said , we are going to get this young lady here . It's just a matter of time . So y'all be prayerful , be mindful , y'all keep on striding with us as we go forth , in the name of the Lord , honey .

Speaker 2

Hey , and come a little bit closer to the camera . Let me tell you something that enemies do not want you to know you are a diamond in the rock .

Speaker 1

Amen . Hallelujah to God , be the glory .
