#136 LTLT S5 EP 9: Reaping Divine Blessings by Focusing on Faith

Amen , hallelujah , the lord , lay the heavy in my spirit on yesterday to make sure I tell you to say thank you , amen . No matter how you feel , no matter the circumstances or whatever have you just say thank you , hallelujah , because somebody didn't see this day . Amen , so again , I hope you said thank you .

If you didn't take a moment right now Say thank you . Thank you , father , hallelujah . Matter of fact , let's go ahead and pray . Hallelujah , father , we thank you so much for your grace and your mercy . Thank you , god , for allowing us this day and this time to be able to just have a conversation that is all about you . God , speak words of life to us .

God , use me to your glory . Father , I pray for everyone that is here that they bring everything before you in your name . Father , we love you so much , so much and so much . Again , god , have your way here . We pray this prayer in the mighty , matchless name of Jesus Christ . We do pray . Amen , amen and amen , amen , hallelujah , hallelujah .

So we left off yesterday at verse 14 . And I actually think I went through half the verse of 15 . So I told you , I promised you I would pick back up at 15 just so that we can have , um , a fullness of this particular verse .

Amen , um , because you know I'm just , I don't like to have tell , do things , amen , especially when I'm dealing with the word of god , amen , and you just never know where somebody else is . So this is why I'm a firm believer . You know we can't half step when we're dealing with the word of God , dealing with anything . Amen , half stepping don't work .

Amen , because you just never know who God is sending in your path , sending your way , that you know they need the full impact of him .

Amen , because that's another thing we got to remember is that you know when we have stepped and doing things , you know just just enough to say that we did it , that you , that , that you know it's somebody that's coming behind you or coming in your path that needs the fullness of God . Amen . They need to see , uh . God through you , amen .

He's made us in his image and after his likeness , amen . And so he isn't already ordained for us to look like him , he's already ordained for us to do things the way that he would do it . Amen , are you half stepping ? Come on somebody , that's a question .

Hallelujah , because there's a whole lot of folk doing stuff for God and ain't doing it to the fullest capacity they are able . Yeah , that's a word , right , amen , like ouch amen . Come on somebody , look . But you know , it must be said amen , it must be said .

We have to do things for God as if we were doing it for ourself for God , as if we were doing it for ourselves . Amen , because us and ourselves , we want the best , don't we , hallelujah ? We want the best all the time . Amen . We don't want a little bit , we want a lot , we want more than enough . Hallelujah , amen . And . But that's the reality .

We always reap what we sow . Amen . You ain't getting nothing back . It's probably because you ain't putting nothing in it . Come on somebody , hallelujah , amen , and then you know we serve God . They don't necessarily give us back in the same way , in the same manner , in the same way that we gave it Hallelujah . What do I mean ? Well , I sold $15 here here .

I'm expecting to get my $15 back the same way . Well , you might have sold that $15 , but he might not want to give it to you in the same way that you sold it . He might want to give you , uh , a brand new car for that $15 . You sold , uh , two years ago . Come on , I'm just saying Hallelujah , because this is the type of God that we serve .

Hallelujah , amen . He gives us in return what we do for him , with windows of heaven opening up More than what we have room to be able to stand . Jesus , hallelujah , that is the word I'm just saying . Hallelujah , amen . I'm sitting in my studio , all by myself . Amen . You think it's a crowd of people in here . Hallelujah , but I love the Lord , amen .

I love what he's called me to do . Amen . I love that I have been privileged to be able to be on this mic and be able to help help you . See the light , be the light . Amen , because I look your girl go through sometime . But I'm going to tell you what . At the end of the day , I know that God is for me , hallelujah .

I know that he's called me to do the work that I'm doing , amen . And so you know , even though I might not see what I want to see , amen . In regard to reward , I know that he , he's taking care of it , amen . I know I'm being rewarded for some things that I did five years ago Amen , four years ago , amen , 10 years ago .

I know that he's rewarded me in his own way . Hallelujah , amen . How he rewards me , that's not my concern , amen . My concern ought to be to do the will of the lord . That's what your concern ought to be , amen . So we got our introduction out the way . Hallelujah , amen the Lord . He is ready . Amen . He's using me . Right , right To God .

Be the glory , amen . Let's come on to the scriptures Amen . Verse 15, . He says love , not the world , neither the things that are in the world . He said if any man loved the world , the love of the father is not in him . Amen . Old , the love of the father is not in him . Amen .

And that just aligns just so perfectly with , uh , what has already been foresaid about the fact that I have nothing to do with how he rewards me . Amen . Folk cross their arms , get mad , because god ain't gave them the thing that they're asking them for , whether it's a house , a car , money , whatever have you ? Amen . They cross their arms .

They get mad at god , amen . But the reality is , look , if you're concerned , more concerned about having the things of this world than having a relationship with him , then he says the father is not in . You , come on somebody . See , we need to be concerned with making sure that our character is in line with the character of God , amen .

That we need to be concerned about , uh , being content in whatever condition we are in . Amen . Those are the things that are , are , are , um , godly and holy amen .

Being concerned with the things that we can't see in this earthen vessel , hallelujah , knowing that the things that we do see , the things that we are able to have materially , those are extra , hallelujah , those ain't things we gotta have . Amen To God . Be the glory for that . That he's given us enough .

He's given us enough where we can survive , with or without things , amen . And you know where we can survive , with or without things . Amen . And you know , unfortunately , we can survive with or without people as well , hallelujah , because he has allowed for us to have seasons of people in our lives

. Amen , that they're there in your life for a little while and then they go on somewhere else , amen . Same as things , material things , that he allows us to have these things for a little while and then you know that thing expires , that thing leaves your life , amen . And you got to be okay with it leaving .

Amen , because if you're not okay with it leaving or them leaving , then they have become your God . Come on somebody , talk to me , hallelujah . We got to be real careful , because things and people can become gods before our God in heaven , amen . And we got to make sure that we keep things in perspective . Hallelujah .

We got to get to a place where we can live . We can live beyond the things that we have and the people that are in and in or not in our lives . Amen . We got to be able to pick up our cross and follow him wherever it takes us . Amen . Willing to leave all things behind script , describe , money , influence , all of it .

Willing to leave it all behind to follow him . Hallelujah . Those are the ones that God uses in a mighty , mighty way , because they're willing to leave it all behind for his glory . They're willing to leave it all behind because , look , I have all that I need and everything that I need is in him . Come on somebody , hallelujah . Jesus , that is a word .

Oh , my god , my god , my god , hallelujah . Look , verse 16 . He says for all that is in the world , the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the father but is of the world . Amen , that's a whole conversation , right ? Amen , that's a whole conversation .

I'm gonna do my best try to hit all three real quick in the next five minutes . Amen , because it's just looking like we only gonna get these two verses today . Amen , and that's okay . Amen , because we got to learn not to be rushing through the word of god and be more concerned about getting understanding out of the word of god . Amen to god .

Be the glory Y'all excuse me , that's my phone . Okay , so he says For all that is in the world , the lust of the flesh , the lust of the flesh , what is that In a quick , for a quick understanding , it's like lusting , is like a temporary feeling . Amen , I want it for the moment . Uh , once it's out of my sight , I ain't thinking about it .

No more thinking about it . Her , him , whatever . It's lust , it only lasts , but last , but for a moment . Okay , amen , that is a quick picture of lust . So he says . He says . He says for all that is in the world , this is what is in the world , these are the things that our flesh are drawn to , he says .

The first thing , it is that of the flesh , the things that we are drawn to in our flesh . Some of of us are drawn to . Some folks are drawn to um , some particular drug , somebody . Somebody else might be drawn to um , um , alcohol , okay , somebody else might be drawn to pornography . These are things that are fleshy .

Uh , they make me feel good , and and and and , things that nature . Do you understand what I'm saying ? Hallelujah , look . He says the lust of the flesh . Then he says the lust of the eyes . These are the what I see immediately oh man , he look good . Oh gosh , he's fine , oh , she is just .

Oh , you know the lust , the eye , like I see what I want in the moment and after it's gone I don't even think about it anymore . Okay , how many times do we see the ? You know the , the latest cell phone that's got all of these things that you can do on it , and just cause , you know it's the newest , I gotta have it .

Or um , um , you know I got to have the latest this , that or the other , because it's the newest , it's got this , it's got that . Amen . How many times do we ? Oh , I see that number and I'm going to do whatever I got to do to get that number . You understand what I'm saying . You know some folk .

They chasing after money Millions and millions of dollars and they're willing to do anything they got to do to get it . The lust of the eyes Amen , we got to be careful . Look what's the last one he said . And the pride of life ? Okay , I'm right , and can't nobody prove me wrong . Okay , I do what I want to do . Can't nobody tell me what to do .

I say what I want to say and I ain't even going to apologize about it . You heard me . I don't care . I could care less about them . I could care less about that . You know what I mean . The pride of life I , you know I am this , and can't nobody tell me that I'm not . Can't nobody tell me nothing . This is pride . The Bible says pride becomes .

Pride comes before a fall . Okay , amen , you can get so arrogant . Where you know you , you shut off any kind of direction , any kind of um , mentorship , anything that would try to uh , lead you in the right way because you've gone the wrong way . This is what you this , this . When you get filled with pride , this is what happens .

You turn away from what is right and and continue on a path that gets darker and darker . And the thing about being on a path that gets darker and darker is you cannot see what is ahead of you . Amen , amen . And eventually , when you turn around to look behind you , you see nothing but darkness , so you can't see what's coming at you .

So think about the scripture pride comment before a fall . If you are in total darkness , it's like being blind . You have no , no idea what is two feet from you . You can't see what's ahead of you . He can't see what's around you . Only way you know it's it , it that it's there . It's because you already have been impacted by it . You've fallen .

Amen , hallelujah . So these are the things that are in the world . I hope that gave enough visual understanding so you can be able to discern whether or not you are chasing after the things of this world or you're chasing after the father in the ways of our father .

This helps us to be able to discern whether or not we are in the father or outside of the father . Hallelujah . Something to think about , right ? Well , you got a couple of days to think about it , amen . And when we come back on monday , I believe it is we're gonna pick up at verse 17 , because friday is God's diamond in the rough .

Amen , you're going to get a interview with someone that Michael and I maybe even just me have interviewed over the last year . Amen , they're going to come with their story . They're going to come with what they have , what God has given them for the world and for you . Amen , hallelujah . So let's go ahead and pray .

Father , we thank you so much again for your grace and your mercy . Thank you , god , for allowing us to stay in this time , father , to be in your word and receive what it is you wanted to give us .

I pray for everyone , and I just pray , god , that they will be drawn to you , that they would continually be perfected by you , they will continue to put their heart and their trust in you . Father , we love you so much and so very grateful for who you are and who we are in you . Father , I thank you again . Thank you , god , for using me in the way that

you have . I pray for everyone that is here that the blessings of the Lord will be upon each and every one of us as we continue to go forth in your name . We pray this prayer in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ . We do pray Amen , amen and amen Y'all .
