#129 LTLT S5 EP 2: Exploring 1 John and God's Boundless Love

So let's go with me , y'all go with me , in a word of prayer . Father , we thank you so much for your grace and your mercy . Thank you again , god , father , for just allowing us to come together one more time to get into your word . I pray for everyone that is here . I pray that we would all have a mind and a heart to seek your face , god .

I pray that you would just have your way . God , use me to your glory and I pray for everyone that is listening . Pray the blessings of the lord be upon them as well that their desire would be to please you .

I pray , god , that you would draw us all closer to you through your word and that you would grant us a supernatural understanding , opening up , opening up our eyes and our ears , that we might be able to hear and see what it is that you're saying to us father , we love you so much , so very grateful , so thankful .

We pray this prayer in the mighty name of jesus christ . We do pray amen , amen and amen , hallelujah . So so we are back one more day , so glad again to be here with you . Amen . I had given a rundown on the last time we were together on how things would actually go . Hear God and make sure that this is the direction he would have me to go , amen .

And so , as I told you on the last episode , please bear with me as I kind of filter through what to do , what not to do , so you might hear , you might have a couple of changes here and there , but , as I , as I said before , in a sense this is uncharted territory in regard to trying to do this in a way that is cost effective .

It is a , I wouldn't say a weight , but it would be a blessing to you . Amen , because I don't ever want to overload anybody with a lot of I don't want to say mumbo jumbo , but I just want to make sure that while I'm here , I'm effective and being a blessing to everyone that has an ear to hear .

But I do believe that the order is going to be changed just a little bit . I believe I'm just going to end up , versus having that break in the middle of Monday , thursday . I'm sorry , monday , tuesday , thursday , friday . I think we're gonna , since I'm I'm going to .

I was gonna do a separate , a whole separate podcast for just learning to live in truth , but , uh , we want to make sure that you get the best of the best , so we're going to , as I had said previously during the Facebook Live , we're going to bring them together with God's Diamond in the Rough podcast .

I think I'm going to end up changing the name of God's Diamond in the Rough podcast to God's Diamond Network , so that way , when you come on to our network because I mean , we could very well get have another podcast that's intertwined with this Amen , but we're going to have Learning to Live in Truth .

I believe I'm going to say three to four days of the week , amen , but they're going to go right in a row . And then the last day of the week is going to say three to four days of the week , amen , but they're going to go right in a row .

And then the last day of the week is going to be Friday and it's going to be an episode for God's Diamond in the Rough , because we have gotten into a stride where we have a guest on pretty much every episode , amen .

And so I just believe that , strategically , god will have the right person at the right time to really speak to what we've learned through the week . On Friday , um , and how . And I just know , because God , he , doesn't do anything by accident and he does everything .

Everything's on purpose , on purpose , for purpose , and so I just believe that he will bring it together how he want to . Um , firm believer , just follow him and he'll do the rest . Amen , and this is absolutely what I'm doing . So now we can move on into the lesson for today . Amen , um .

And the time is probably going to be shortened to about 10 to 15 minutes . Amen , because of the way that we're doing this , it's going to be a hit and miss type of time One shot , one , two punch , hello somebody . Amen . And so we're going to start with 1 John as we go into this journey . 1 John , all the way in the back of your Bible .

Amen , this journey First , john , all the way in the back of your Bible . Amen , because I am just a firm believer that this particular book speaks to the heart of men and women everywhere . It kind of reminds us of who we are , whose we are and how much he really loves us , and what's the word I'm looking for . He don't hold no punches .

I guess you could say he really lays it out there in a way where you know we really can take inventory of our life and really where we're going , where we've been . Amen . And so I'm excited as we go into this 1 John 1 . And today we'll focus on 1 John 1 , verse 1 through 4 .

If I had to give it a title , it would be know that the witness and the testimonies , uh , that come from the disciples are from the heart . Amen , that's . That's a title or subject , a matter of a matter that I'm going to kind of read the scripture and then give my take on it and hope that you're blessed by it . Hallelujah , hallelujah .

So , uh , first john , chapter one , verse one , says that which was from the beginning , which we have heard , which we have seen with our eyes , which we have looked upon and our hands have handled , of the word of life . He says for the life was manifested and we have seen it . The life was manifested and we have seen it .

The life was manifested and we have seen it . Okay , if you are believing writing in your Bible , I would definitely underline in verse 2 , the life was manifested which we have . The life was manifested which we have seen . It . This is and bear witness and show unto you that eternal life , which was with the father , was manifested unto us .

He says for which , or they said oh . He says for which we have seen and heard , declare we unto you that ye also may have fellowship with us , on the line with us .

I believe that this , this in these first four , first four verses , um , particularly that last verse where he says your joy might , may be full , like the disciples aren't here because they're trying to prove something . Amen , they're there , they're here and they're talking to us as the Spirit has prompted them , so that we can be full of joy .

Amen , because the reality is , with so many things that we deal with on a day-to-day basis , we wonder . Some folk can wonder you know , is God really for me or against me ? Hallelujah , but what the disciples do here , is they what he does ? Or Disciple John ?

He just basically says to us you know everything that has been , that is in the word , from the beginning to where we are now . This is true , he says , because we've seen it . We know that it's true . We saw it with our own eyes . He said for the life was manifested , that we have seen it . The life that was manifested is Jesus himself .

Amen , because in the beginning he tells us what . Let's look at it real quick . Look at regular , the gospel of john , he says because I believe that this is the same writer as the one who wrote first john amen . He says hold on , get into it , get into it quickly . He says in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God .

When you move over to verse 14 , the gospel according to John , verse 14 , he says and the word was made flesh , the word was made flesh . Who else could be made flesh outside of Jesus ? He says and dwelt among us . He says and we behold his glory and the glory as of the only begotten , of the Father , full of grace and truth , amen .

So he says look , we have witnessed the man , the son of God , the man servant Jesus . He said . This is why he says and we bear witness , showing to you that eternal life , and I'm going to leave you with that passage of scripture . I want you to take a moment and think about how you have seen jesus show up in your life , amen .

Think about how life was before you met jesus . Amen . Think about the fact that you know your ladder has been better than your beginning . Amen . The reality and truth be told is you are a witness , just as Jesus or John is witnessing to us about the life of Jesus and all that they saw and they experienced as they walked with Jesus .

He wants us to take a moment and really realize and understand . Look , the witness and the testimonies that you bear witness of in your heart . Amen , you take that and you share it with someone else so that they can be full with the same joy that you have .

We have to know that this is the reason why these people , these men of God who wrote this word , why they were even led to write , because we know in in first Timothy I think it's first Timothy or second Timothy he says the word is been and it's inspired by that of God , meaning that God prompted them to go forth in the manner and the way that they did .

As they wrote the Bible from the beginning to the end , these men and women of God experienced things that they wanted or the Spirit wanted us to have part in . Amen , he wanted us to be a part of it from generation to generation , hallelujah .

We have to know that God is for us and not against us , and so , therefore , we choose to walk full of joys , we choose to have peace , we choose to look up and not look down , knowing again that God is for us and not against us . Amen . I hope that you will come back with me on tomorrow .

Amen , as we come forth with the next passage , which will be well , I know verse 5 and fairly often more often than none I typically will break down passages of scriptures and turn it into a whole . It'll turn into a whole topic , amen .

So you just make sure that you join me on tomorrow and we'll pick up at verse 5 verse 5 and see where the spirit takes us . Amen .

So , father , we thank you again for your grace and mercy . Thank you , god , for this , this word on today . I pray , god , the blessings of the Lord will be upon your people . I pray that each one will meditate on what they've heard and be able to take something from it . I pray , god , that you will continue to do a work in us that only you can .
