#128 LTLT S5 EP 1: Intro to Learning To Live In Truth, Walking in God's Truth

Where there we are , talking about how our lives are intertwined , amen , aligned with the life of a diamond , amen . And how we have to endure a lot of suffering and a lot of pain in order that what comes out of it is beauty , beauty and clarity , amen .

But I want to talk to you about this brand new podcast , amen , that the lord has led me to , not so very new , uh , to those of you who follow me on facebook live amen . Now we have evolved , stretched out a little bit , into a podcast Amen . This is all about learning how to live in truth . Exactly what the name is Learning how to live in truth , amen .

This podcast will run somewhere between 20 and 30 minutes on a daily basis . Between 20 and 30 minutes on a daily basis , monday , tuesday , thursday and Friday Amen . We'll leave a Wednesday open for you to check out God's Diamonds in the Rough Amen . Hallelujah . So here we are going , book by book and verse by verse , as the Lord leads .

So it's pretty much the same lingo or language as we had on Facebook Live . But I want to ask y'all to bear with me Amen , as I follow the leading of the Lord . So , before I go any further , I always like to pray before we get into it . So , father , we thank you so much for your grace and your mercy .

Thank you , god , for allowing each and every heart that is here to be here . I pray , in the name of Jesus , that your will will be done . I pray , god , that you would grant me a supernatural understanding of your word , that I might be a light to the kingdom and a help to your people . I pray that everyone that is here is here to seek your face .

Father , have your way , have your way . We thank you . Now , father , in Jesus Christ's name , we do pray . Amen , amen and amen , hallelujah , amen . I hope again that everybody is well and ready to get into the word .

I thank God for everybody that is here , that was watching and listening , following along with me in , or rather on , facebook live , amen , so , but now that we've prayed and we have done all of that kind of giving you an idea of what will be happening here .

I just kind of wanted to really , today , focus on the word learning and just the simple fact that you know this doesn't just come like most of us want it to . Amen , we have to dig . Amen , we have to dig into the word to find out what it is he's requiring of us . Amen , absolutely a necessity , and a necessity as a believer , as a child of God .

And so you know , if you have professed to have known or know that Jesus died for you and he rose for you , you have to get into the word of God . Amen . There is no ifs ands or buts about it . Look , it ain't going to just happen overnight . It is not . We are on a journey when we give our lives to Christ . Amen .

I'm just going to surface over a few scriptures . That kind of brings home the point of learning to live in truth and its value and what the purpose is , and all of that . Amen . But 1 Corinthians I believe it's 1 Corinthians and I'm flipping over and I hope you have your Bibles , because I have my Bible in front of me , even though you can't see me .

I have my Bible in front of me and you should too as well . I believe it's and I could be . I's second corinthians , y'all excuse me . Second corinthians , chapter 5 , verse 17 . He says , therefore , if any man be in christ , he is a new creature .

And just so you know king james version , king james version , but you use whatever version uh , feed your spirit , hallelujah , uh . But I use king james version , uh , just because it requires me to uh , really uh , lean on the lean on the spirit . Yes , uh , really really lean on the spirit .

So he says in this particular verse , he says , therefore , if any man be in christ , amen . So the first part of this verse , you have to um , be able to uh , you can recognize that you're in christ , amen . This is why I said uh just a few moments ago that you have to believe .

When you believe that jesus has died for you and risen for you , what you have to know now is that you're not who you used to be . Amen , he says . He says if you be in Christ , he is a new creature . Amen , so that verifies that you are a new creature . He says old things are passed away .

So who I used to be in the path I used to follow , no longer is that a part of me because I am now new Amen . Whenever you get something new , whether when you purchase something in the store , whether it's a computer , a printer , a telephone , a TV , whatever have you , it's new . It's not what it was , it's not what you used to have , amen .

So therefore , you got to learn , amen . You got to learn how to work the product that you bought , amen . You got to find out what are the mechanics of this computer , what do these buttons mean on this printer ? Hallelujah , he says all things are passed away . He says behold , all things are become new .

So you are not who you used to be , so you don't function or think or walk the way you used to walk . Hallelujah , amen . It sounds so simple , but yet it is very much profound . It's a profound thing because so many times we think that you know that everything is just going to automatically change for us .

But you got to put something in so something else can come out . Now we read the new creature , your new creature in Christ . Now I want you to go over to Romans , chapter 12 . Go to Romans , chapter 12 . And I'm going to give you a minute to get there For those of you that are driving .

Just , you know , you listen and you know , listen and and you know , when you have the opportunity , take a listen to it again . Amen , because uh , a whole lot of times we just expect this thing to just happen overnight , but it does not . It does not happen overnight and they don't .

You know the things that tempted you and the things that uh led you astray before you got saved . You know those same things . Those same things will be there trying to draw you away from christ again . Amen , it's not , you know . Saying I believe that jesus died for me isn't like a like a , like a magical remedy that's going to change you overnight .

You have to learn about who you are , amen . So rom 12 1 . He says I beseech you , therefore , brethren , it's like beseech is like beg you , uh , begging you to understand this , this , this , this thing , he says by the mercies of God .

This ain't because you deserve it , it's not because you're good enough , he says , but because the mercy , mercy , is really um , out of the heart of the one who gives it . He says , out of the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice .

So he says you know , the least that we can do is put our bodies , move , our bodies and our minds in such a way that speaks I am a sacrifice . Jesus died for me . He says holy , acceptable . He says unto God , which is your reasonable service , amen .

So how we carry ourselves , the things that we are doing , um , how we present ourselves , it matters unto god . He says this is the least that we can do . He says and be not conformed to this world . Okay , so you know , don't allow yourself to uh , function and think and move and breathe and whatever have you the same way the world does .

He says don't conform yourself to the ways of the world . He says but be ye transformed when you change you . If you haven't familiar with a transformer , uh , when you get a , get a transformer in your hand , if you've seen the cartoon before , transformers .

They might look like a car , they car , they look like an airplane , they look like this , that and the other . But when they're ready to fight and they're ready to stand or whatever have you , their body begins to switch and transform into this whole other being , amen . He says be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind , by the renewing of your mind .

So the only way that you're going to change your thinking and you're going to change your thought patterns and things of that nature . He says you have to renew your mind , meaning you have to start again , because this is what the word re means Start again . You got to put something new in to your mind , amen , he says .

When you continually put my word in your mouth , amen , he says . Or in your mind , he says I can change your mind , amen , amen . This is why I say you cannot just go and think that you know , with a snap of a finger , my life is going to be different . It is different in a sense , sense , but your behaviors don't change if your heart doesn't change .

Oh , that's a word amen , hallelujah . Look , your behaviors don't change until your mind changes . Hallelujah , amen . And the only way that your mind can change is if something different is in your heart .

Amen . It started when you accepted the sacrifice that Jesus made for you on the cross . This is where it starts , this is just the beginning . Believing Hallelujah . I'm not quoting the scripture , I'm kind of paraphrasing . But Jesus said you know , it was so many things that I wanted to do in my hometown . I couldn't do it because people wouldn't believe Amen .

It begins with you believing . You got to believe that you're a new creature , amen In Christ and that you know he's called you , he's justified you , he's exalted you . Everything that who you were is no longer is Amen . He's like a pencil . He's scratched out your history . Amen , and um ready to start you over with a pen . Hallelujah , amen .

Your name is in the in the book of life , hallelujah , but you gotta learn how to live by his truth . Amen . The word of god is the truth . Amen . He says in that same verse of Romans , 12 , verse 2 . He says that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God . Hallelujah , amen . That lets us know when we put it in .

He will bring it out in the way that brings forth the goodness that is in him .

He will bring it out in a way that says I'm acceptable , the things that he's given me , the things that he's taught me is acceptable and in sight , these things that I put in his word of god , he threw to the world and to the people that are watching me , we breathe , or we uh , show a sign of perfection that does not come from us physically , or rather

fleshly , but in the spirit . Perfect and , last but not least , it shows the will of God . Hallelujah , amen . I want you to just think about that for a minute . Hallelujah , this is what it means to renew your mind , because once your mind is renewed again I'm going to say it again your behavior will change .

Your behavior will not change consistently meaning or continually amen , where you are continually progressing for the better , if you're not putting in the truth . Amen . And for time's sake , you know I'm not going to actually go to the scripture . But he says look , you got to build your house on the solid rock .

I'm not saying hallelujah , because in that passage of scripture I can't think off the top of my head where it is he says look , if you put your house on sand , then when the waves , the winds and waves come , when it hits that sand , the house is gonna slide with the sand . Amen .

When the water comes water can be symbolic of trials and tribulations it hits house and every time that wave hits your house it's going to be drug into the sand and into the water because it's not on a solid foundation . Hallelujah , solid foundation . He said to Peter look on this rock I will build my church . Amen , you got to be built on what is solid .

Jesus cannot be moved . Hallelujah , jesus is eternal . Come on , somebody , y'all , talk to me . Hallelujah , dude , you will not be moved by the waves , by the storms of this life , by the ups and the downs , because you better believe it , saved or not saved .

You're going to meet ups and downs because you better believe it , saved or not saved , you're going to meet ups and downs . You're gonna meet trials and tribulations . You're gonna meet the things you don't want to meet . You're gonna have things coming to your doorstep that you don't want to have to deal with . But the reality is life is life , amen .

And you gotta learn how to handle what comes at you , amen . Not through the ways that you used to when you were in your flesh , but in the spirit . Hallelujah , amen . He said if we live in the spirit , we need to walk in the spirit . Now , I know that's in Galatians y'all , but Galatians 5 . And we're going to know what the spirit requires of us .

We're going to know what the Spirit requires of us . We're going to know what is good and what is evil . We can't just know it , we have to walk in it , hallelujah . And here my goal is to equip , is equip everybody . Amen . As best as I can , coming alongside you as a coach , does so that you can win .

Hallelujah , because that's what a coach does , so that you can win . Hallelujah , because that's what a coach does . Coach gives you training . The coach gives you tools . The coach gives you the things that you need to win the game . Hallelujah . So I'm here to come alongside you to help you to learn how to live in truth . Amen .

And while I'm helping you , the is helping me . Hallelujah , because , just as we are all , you are a student . I am a student as well . Amen . And as I say on Facebook , facebook , live all the time , amen . Look , he might have chosen me to be the teacher , to be the coach , to be the pastor , to be the .

Whatever you know , whatever I'm supposed to be at that moment , I'm still a student . Amen . As long as we are children of God , we ought to be his disciples . Hallelujah . Disciples and disciples is simply this it is a student of god . Amen . And our manual , our book of study , is the word of god , hallelujah .

Just like when you go and you study the subject of chemistry , or you study the subject of of , uh , geography , you study the , the subject of history , you studied the subject of um , of , say , reading , you have a book to go along with it to give you the fundamental values , the , the ins and the outs , the nooks and the crannies .

It gives you everything to teach you about that particular subject . Well , the word of God is our manual , it is our map to this life . Amen , our spiritual journey , hallelujah , and truth be told . It is the most important book that we could ever read in our life . Amen , because it leads us to our eternal home .

Hallelujah , we all want to enter into heaven , but the truth is , don't everybody enter into heaven . And it's because they don't learn how to live in truth , amen , it's because they've decided well , my work is enough . Your work will lead you right to hell . Come on somebody , hallelujah , amen , You're trying to work your way into heaven .

Look , you won't get to know the Father . Hallelujah , and the thing that gets us into heaven is our relationship with him . Amen , you don't let nobody in your house that you don't know , amen , and leave them by themselves . Come on somebody , hallelujah , you let them and you feel like a stranger into your house .

You're gonna get to know them , amen , first before you trust them . Hallelujah , here , while we're on this earth , this is our time to get to know him , hallelujah , because , look , he already knows us , amen , and he chose to love us . Anyhow , come on somebody , y'all talk to me . Amen , oh , look y'all . Oh .

On facebook live , I'm used to saying y'all talk to me . I wait for somebody to talk to me and I'm talking to myself , but I'm talking to you . Hallelujah , amen to God , be the glory . I want this thing . I want you to feel like I'm right there in the room with you . Hallelujah , amen . This because , because this is , this is my heart , amen .

My heart is for you and me to grow together . Amen , the end of the day , you're're my brother , you're my sister in christ amen . Hallelujah , I'm not better than you , you're not better than me , nobody's better than another . Hallelujah , yeah , but we have permission . We can grow together as brothers and sisters in christ amen .

I want to y'all , I want everybody to kind of look at this scripture , this last scripture , to kind of bring us out of our topic or our introduction for today , because I'm right at my minutes here of 20 minutes almost . But in Matthew 11 , verse 28, . He says come unto me , all you that labor and are heavy laden , and I will give you rest .

He says , take my yoke upon you and learn of me . He says , for I am meek and lowly in heart , and ye shall find rest unto your souls , for my yoke is easy and my burden is light , hallelujah . That was Matthew 11 , verses 28 through 30 amen . And this particular passage has always given me hope . Hallelujah , because things are not easy in this life .

Things can be very heavy , things can be . You can become worrisome , hallelujah , fearful , and all of these things . But jesus gives us security and says I will give you rest , hallelujah , you trust in him . He says I will give you a rest . I will give you a peace that surpasses understanding . I will give you the thing that only I can give , he .

He says when you take on my yoke . He says you learn who I am . You'll learn that I am meek . Now I'm humble in heart , that I love you just as you are . Amen . He says I want you to have rest . Amen , I want you to have peace while you're here in this earth . Hallelujah , amen . He is well aware of amen .

He's well aware of our circumstances , well aware of our situation , but at the end of the day , he wants us to always , always , always turn to him , hallelujah . He says that his yoke is easy , amen , and his burden is light . Amen . The things that we face , they ain't that heavy . Amen , when we put our trust in him , Hallelujah .

So I hope and I pray that you will join me Hallelujah , every Monday , tuesday , Thursday and Friday for a brand new episode of Learning to Live in Truth podcast . Amen . This was just the introduction . What you got to look forward to as I come forth every day ? Amen , to bring you what God gives me . As I said , I'm expecting 20 to 30 minutes , amen .

Amen , and I don't want to overwhelm anybody , but I want to go forth in the will of God for this ministry , hallelujah . Whatever amount you want to sow can do that . Amen . Um , I believe it's somewhere , wherever you're listening , where you can uh , plant a seed , uh , of any amount . It will be greatly appreciated . It's definitely going back into the ministry , amen . Going into taking care of my family amen , because I do do this full time .

I do full time and I've been doing ministry full time for , like the past I believe the past four years , full time ministry , but I've been in ministry since 2010 . Amen . So , wherever the Lord leads you , it'll be always greatly appreciated . If you can't do nothing else , please pray for me . Hallelujah , amen .
