Episode description

How does Jesus’ admonition to “judge not” apply to church discipline? When should we apply church discipline- and how- and why? And what do you do when you have a personal conflict with another Christian? You’ll find all that out today on the Cross References Podcast.

NOTE: This is essentially a Part 2 to last week’s episode, even though it covers a somewhat different topic. This episode is mostly focused on church discipline. I highly recommend listening to the previous episode first, because while church discipline should be carried out when necessary, we must always search our own hearts and lives before judging someone else’s actions. Keep Matthew 7 in the back of your mind before enacting I Corinthians 5.

5:35 - What is church discipline? (I Corinthians 5)

12:55 - Why do you need to do church discipline?

15:15 - When do you need to do church discipline?

25:35 - Having high standards for volunteers

32:00 - What to do when you have personal conflicts (Matthew 18)

48:45 - recapping today's lesson
