He was an abolitionist and activist a politician and educator and a diplomat also pioneer Ward winner African-American golfers Hall of Fame June 2009 go go golf baby.... This golf course was named after John Mercer Langston the first African-American elected to public office in the United States of America he was educated at Oberlin college in Ohio received bastards master's degree he was denied admission to the law school he started independently under an attorney and became the first African-American admitted to the Ohio bar in 1854 but you see all that when you get here come on down go go golf baby big Nate I'm out of here
