May 10 - May 16: D&C 49-50 “That Which Is of God Is Light”

This week Daniel and Fili discuss the lessons and principles that can be learned from the interactions with those of the Shaker faith in 1831, including the example of Leman Copley and the rebuke by Parley P. Pratt. They also discuss the challenges of identifying true revelation and the counterfeits of the adversary as described in Section 50. They discuss the unnecessary and misaligned actions of the saints in the early church and how we must be vigilant to not fall victim to many of the same tendencies today.
