It's not a story. And we look at the Bible as this is a story that happened to somebody else, but it's for us as well. That's right. So we have to realize. It's a living word. And that it works for us just like it did the people that it was written about. You can use the word of God. It's not just a written word, it's a living word. And that you can take this word and then you can apply it to your life or apply it to your situation or apply it to your sickness or apply it to whatever.
And God will act on your faith. God promises in Joel 2, 28, to pour out his Spirit on all humanity. Welcome to Global Outpouring where we contend for that promise outpouring. But thanks for joining us today. You're welcome. You know, before we get going on some of those stories, would you tell us your impressions of convention? Oh, they were life-changing. Yes. Yes, and not only that, but many nations opened up to me. Yes. From the convention. Oh, I would say at least 11 nations opened up. And one of the last ones that really opened just before COVID hit and all of this stuff was in the Philippines with Zinni Paklip.
And I came across the auditorium, and I didn't even know she knew who I was. And she come across there and she said, hi, Shirley Smith, come bring Joshua Generation and get the harvest in the Philippines. She said, we've been in a place of warfare for a long time. And now then we have a space of grace that we can get the harvest.
And so that year in January, this happened in June when she invited me, but in January, I said to the Lord in my private time, I said, Lord, I don't mind doing what you've called me to do. And I feel like sometimes you pick on me, but because I was born a warrior and I've always been a warrior, and sometimes I feel like you ride me like a white horse. And now that's just kind of the way I talk to the Lord.
And I'm not saying that I have to have this, but it would just be nice if I could see some of the harvest sometimes, because I plow and I plow and I war and I war, and somebody else comes in and gets the harvest. It would just be nice one time if you would let me have some of the harvest. And that's what she was asking me to do was to come and get the harvest. And you did have a harvest there. Oh, incredible harvest that same year.
And it was confirmed prophetically during the convention when I had just asked the Lord for it. And he said, what you've been asking for, I'm gonna give it to you. You've been asking for the harvest, I'm gonna give it to you. So that's an experience that built your faith, isn't it? Oh, yes, yes, it did. And what we did really was a faith builder when we got there because like she said, they had a space of grace because it had been a warfare area. And so I don't ever move without confirmations.
I don't care where I'm invited. And if I don't get two to three confirmations, I'm to go, I just postpone it. I always wait on that. Out of the mouth of two or three witnesses, let the truth be established. I learned it from Papa Hagen years ago and I built my life on that, on the scriptures, two and three scriptures that the Lord quickened, not just something I read, but something the Lord quickened to my spirit man that I knew this was for me. So that came to me that year.
And I knew what she was saying was timely. And when we went, it was amazing. Well, give us a quick overview of what happened on that trip. What happened on that trip, and I gave this story, I think one time before, but it was real interesting because it had to do with the white horse again. But Pat. Anderson? Anderson, yes. She had just introduced herself here and she was doing the flags and things, and I'd never met her before. But I had a team ready to go to the Philippines with Zinni.
And because there was a lot of stuff going on in their nation, as well as ours at the time, it wasn't really a safe time to travel. And I didn't wanna be responsible for the young people and their parents didn't want me to be either. I understood that. So I said, okay, Lord, but I've already gave my word. So would you please do something? And then, and I was up here for officer's retreat.
And in that one week, 12 people that are seasoned in the Lord, that are ministers, that was eager to go with me on this trip. Wow. I mean, the Lord. So they were seasoned and ready to bring in the harvest. Yes, absolutely. Beautiful. There was a warning that went with that. And I know Sister Gwen said to me, she said, now Shirley, I know that you're seasoned in the Lord, you and Anita Bothar, Anita Christopher was my ministry partner at that time.
And she said, but you may lay your life down on this field. So you need to think about that and pray about that. Well, you were going to Minda now. There was war in that island. Yes, it was. Oh yeah, yes. The communists were trying to take over that. Absolutely. And they were in her area where she was. Yeah. So. Was it communists or Muslims? Both. Both, okay. Both. Uh-huh. So I said, okay, Anita and I went on a fast and we fasted and we asked the Lord to give us confirmations and he did.
Beautiful. So we were all ready to go and everybody was really seasoned in the Lord. But Pat came in last, making the 12th person. And the Lord had already told me that 12 people is what he was wanting. So she said she had this vision and said she saw this white stallion horse. The one I'd been on so many times in my visions. But she didn't know that because I didn't even really know her. But just invited her to go.
So she went into this vision and she saw this white stallion and she said the whole team was seated on the back of this white stallion. And she said, there's no room. I mean, it's full. I can't. The Lord said, get on. And she said, Lord, there is no room. He said, get on. So she said, I backed up and took a running start and leaped and grabbed him by the mane and slung my leg over. And she said, we all went to the Philippines. Wow, look at that. That was the vision she had. Beautiful.
I said, okay, wonderful. You have your first confirmation. Now I need you to confirm this with your husband. So we always do that. Sure. So she got on the phone and she asked him and he said, of course, sure, you can go. So then she immediately began to look for us tickets. I mean, she just was very aggressive with it, very helpful. So we went to the Philippines and the Lord had given me several scriptures before I left.
And I knew that and visions, I had several visions before I left concerning the warfare that waited on us and gave me in Zachariah about the four horns and the first chapter. So anyway, I wasn't sure what all those were. And just before I left, the Lord began to show me that through another missionary that had been working there for a long time. So after I got that information, I said, okay, so these four horns have worn over and controlling this area, what do we have?
Because there was four horns that rose up against those. I said, so what do we have? And he said, four shofars. There you go. So shofars, we didn't use them a whole lot at that time, but boy, that really launched me into using them after that. But anyway, so we took four shofars. Wow. And it was awesome how the Lord had used those after we got there. So everybody on the plane thought we were crazy. They said, you are not going to that island. And we said, yeah.
And they said, not even our military goes there. Wow. And I said, well, I guess with the army of the Lord and we're going. Yeah. Well, it's cause you're safer in a war zone in the will of God than in your own bed out of the will of God. Right. Cagayan de Oro is the town we went to. Yes, been there. Been there. Yeah, we went there with Jenny too. Did you? Okay, so anyway, we had a wonderful pastor that was our interpreter while we were there. And we made a strong connection with him.
And see the Lord has called me to the gates for years. So I said, where are the ancient gates? And he goes, what are you talking about? I said, where does a first people put their feet on the ground in this area, in this city or in this island? And nobody knew, but this man that was interpreting from, he said, oh, I know where that is. So I said, that's where I need to be. So he took us there and it was right downtown on the town Plaza. Of course.
I said, so you're telling me Lord, that we're to stand on the town Plaza and blow shelf. Is that what you're saying? When the enemy is walking around us, and after it's what you're saying, I'll do it. But if it's not, tell me what to do. Yes. And he didn't really even answer me. So I just left it up to him because he always confirms everything. And so I told my team, I said, now we've got to get a word from the Lord before we start this meeting. So I said, do you all have a word yet?
No. On the second day, have you have a word yet? No. I said, we're not starting this meeting until we have a word from the Lord. Right. Bottom line, that's it. So you have to get a word. I'm putting pressure on them, you know, to get a word, but nobody got one. I said, okay, let's all go pray. So we all went to pray and it was the most, well, I don't even know the word for it. I guess shocking thing, I guess the Lord's ever let me hear.
But when I get into that kind of warfare for years, depending on what level of warfare it is, there's a mantle that comes on my shoulders that I feel, and I know I'm prepared. Beautiful. And I know the anointing is there. So during that prayer meeting, we were all praying, and I felt that come around my shoulders, and I shifted gears in warfare. I began to pray and all of a sudden, I heard a conversation. And I heard Satan listen to me. And I didn't say that. And I'm listening.
He said, listen to me. No longer will you rule in this place. For I have drawn the line and it is finished. Glory to God. How long? I said, oh my God, I've never heard such a thing. I said, okay, okay, Lord, I need you to give me confirmations. Where in the Bible did you have a conversation with Satan? Well, and he said in the Old Testament, he said, Satan, where you been? He said, walking to and fro in the earth and up and down in it. And he said, is that a conversation?
Is that two people talking? I went, yes. And give me another confirmation. I have the math of two or three witnesses. I'm looking for a second one. He said, when Jesus was on the mount and Satan came to tempt him, did they have a conversation? Yes. Okay, okay, I'll receive that. I test because when you're in a foreign country, there's all kinds of deceiving spirits. Sure. So I'm always testing things. You have to. Scripturally, yeah. Cause that's solid ground to stand on.
So I had my confirmations, but I didn't tell anybody. I didn't say anything to anybody. So that night we were all sleeping on the floor of the principal's office and we had a schoolhouse, no fans, no air conditions. So hot, oh Lord. We just drenched with sweat. So we go to bed about nine o'clock. And I said, I'm gonna tell y'all until we get in the gate, we're not starting this meeting. We're not. This is what I've told y'all this from the beginning.
So I just got my bed made, my mosquito net up, and laid down and Brenda Anderson was here on the floor on one of those futons. And she said, it's time to go. We got a word. And I went, what? It's nine o'clock. And she said, I know. I said, well, why are we going at nine o'clock? We could have gone anytime today. You know? And she said, no, the Lord is sending us like, who was it? It went on the night. I can never remember his name, the son's name. He went and toured the idols down of his father.
No, that was Gideon. Gideon. Yeah. That's what she said. It's like Gideon, he went on the cover of the night to tour down the islands. Yeah. I went, okay, confirmation, okay. Everybody get up, get your clothes on, let's go. And so brother Bob was with us, you know, and he and a couple of other brothers was with us at the one arm. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Armstrong, not really Armstrong. My sister quite called him Armstrong. Oh, okay. Oh, yeah, one arm. Yeah, one arm brother.
He was with us and brother Bob was with us and another young man from Georgia was with us. So I told Zinni, I said, bring us the jeep so we can all go, it's time to go. And this was real late at night, you know, of course. And so, which was a good thing, the Lord showed me, I'm taking you on the cover of the night so that you won't be seen. And so we went and I told her about it. I don't want anybody talking from here to there. I want you praying in the spirit.
We've got to be ready when we get there. So we did. And when we got to this place, it was a great big church here and a big tree. And so we had on tennis shoes, but we still quietly tiptoed over there to pray and make decrees and declarations and things. And so as we went to pray, Anita said, Shirley, we're not gonna get in a circle. We're gonna form an altar. Which too long lines of us. And on each corner, we're gonna put a shofar. Cause we had four shofars. So we had the structure he gave us.
So everybody then, of course, had caught hands, was praying. And we got really into praying about that time. This is around one o'clock in the morning. This young man comes running out of nowhere. And he came up to where we were and we were quiet. We were in the dark, but he knew where we were. And he came running up there and started making strange movements with his hands and signals and stuff and with his feet. And he'd walk so many steps and turn and walk another way.
And so many steps and turn and walk another way, almost like a pattern of what he was doing. And I said, God, what is he doing? And the Lord said, he's trying to undo what you're doing. Well, you know, that thing come up in me, the warrior, the other warrior story. And I wanted to lay hands on him so bad. Like around his throat. Yes ma'am. So I start over there and the team was catching and they would not let me pass.
Everybody held their hands real tight and I would push it and they would push me back. And I would push over, they would push me back because I really wasn't supposed to do that. But I just was overcharged over whatever. And that righteous indignation, I guess, I don't know what it is, rises up and I'm ready to go to war. So about that time, the Lord brought a vision back to me that I had on the plane going over and I forgot about it. And the vision was this Cobra snake.
And it's about as tall as the length of this wall here. About eight feet then. Yeah. And he was up in the air and he had this real ugly face and he had his mouth was kind of like that and he was talking to me. And he said, I'm after you. I said, hey, you listen up. You can't touch me because I'm covered with the blood of Jesus and you cannot touch me. And he just started, he said, I'm gonna watch you. I said, hey, you can watch all you, but you can't touch me.
So he was weaving his head back and forth and he watched me for a long time. And the Lord said to me, that's the same spirit this boy has. Oh. So that's when I really got started was trying to cross over everybody. But anyway, when I threw up my hand like this, Bob caught it. He knew it was a signal that was like the Cobra's head. And I dressed that Cobra in that boy and he shot out like lightning. I mean, he just, he was gone like that. Wow, glory to God. Said, we won the war.
Amen. Yes, we won the battle. Amen. So it was over and we went home, went to bed, got up the next day, started into the meeting. We divided up in workshops because we had a schoolhouse, we had classrooms and Brendan and I was teaching the pastors and brother Bob and another lady from Michigan was teaching the young people that wanted to receive the baptism of the Holy spirit. And these young people were from headhunting tribes. They were from slave labor camps. Oh my goodness.
They had been sold by their parents. Oh my. And they were from orphanages. They were from the streets. Oh my. And they were from the church and from the prison. Wow. That's quite a mixture. Yeah, that was our background. That's what we were dealing with the whole week that we were there. And we just saw miracle after miracle after miracle. The healing that God just healed these young people. It was just amazing.
I mean, I don't even have words for it because you could just see the transformation taking place and the emotional healing that was taking place. We did a lot of deliverance with them. We did a lot of inner healing with them. We did an adoption of a father. Oh, that's important. Yes. They so need the father. Yes, we did that with them and it was beautiful. And those men on the team probably really stepped up to be fathers ministering to them.
Don Toothman was that other one you're trying to remember. That's right. That's right. There was so much done with the children, so much. And you could just see it with your natural eye, but you also knew in your spirit man that God was just doing a transformation in them. I mean, their whole countenance was changing. Beautiful. And they were just singing from their little hearts. And it was hot and we were all drenched with sweat.
And then we had fast songs and we would dance and dance and dance and spun and dance. And we had about three meltdowns a day. And no air conditioning. We just had fans. And we just sprayed ourself with water and fan. That's the best we could do. Wow. But the Holy Spirit was so powerful, so strong, that that was just minor compared to what he was doing. That builds your faith too. Yes, yes it did. His grace is sufficient. Absolutely. So we were so loud over there with our music.
And we had a very anointed young man that he was him and three other members in his band. And they did all of our music. And I mean, whenever they started playing, they had such an anointing that angels were seen all over the place. The kids were seen. That glory cloud was seen. They was running and tell us what they were seeing. Wow. And they had pictures of gold that was being poured out over everybody in there. It was amazing, amazing. And it was just hard to take it all in, you know?
Beautiful. So we had five days and nights of this. So it was so loud that the prison was close by and they kept hearing the music and everything. And they wanted to come in. They had some boys in there that was trustworthy. And the wardens or whoever they were, brought them over there and stayed. And they all got saved. Glory to God. And several of them got spirit filled. It was amazing. Glory to God. So anyway, the last night that we were there, we were exhausted, to say the least.
So that night, a bunch of the boys from the prison, as well as the young people that we were working with, there's about 30 of them, came to the front for deliverance. Wow. And I went, oh God. Yeah. I said, you know how long we'll be here? We'll be here for two or three days doing this. I mean, you know how many is up there, Lord? And I'm just like, the Lord didn't know anything. And I said, help, do something. And you know what he said? What? He said something I heard many years ago.
I don't think of his name in a minute. He was from Missouri. Anyway, about the rod. And he said to me, just point your rod, Wow. Your hand, and your finger. And he said, I'll do the work. Glory to God. Oh, wow. That builds your faith, doesn't it? Oh, yes. So I passed it on to the others. I said, we don't have to labor here tonight. We don't have to do a bunch of deliverance. I said, let's just point our rods or our hands this way and start praying for deliverance from these boys.
They began to chuck. And they were just rolling all over the floor. Nobody was praying with them or for them or anything. Well, we were praying for them, but nobody was near them. And then after a while, they came up off the floor. Their faces just tears streaming down their faces and speaking in tongues. Wow. Praise God. They wouldn't touch anybody. Hallelujah. That's faith building. Yes. Just point your rod. That's what he said. Bill Britton. Bill Britton. Oh, Bill Britton.
Look at that. From Springfield, Missouri. He's the one that taught us about the rod. He said, in the future, God is just going to let you just point your rod and he'll do the miracles. Oh, I have to remember that. Yes, absolutely. Absolutely. So that was our last night that was there. But anyway, so I asked the praise and worship meter. I said, I have a question. I said, I see so many times that after you begin to worship and lead the children in worship, that you shift gears.
And then you begin to sing something different and you begin to sing in the spirit. And then all these visions start popping up. And I said, how do you do that? How do you do it? He said, well, I sing songs everybody knows, get everybody in unity. And he said, we've seen that for a while. And then I only sing what I hear in my ear, a spiritual ear. I said, but wait, you've got three others behind you. He said, well, they get it the same time I do. Wow, look at that.
Yeah. And so when they shifted gears like that and began to sing. They all shift together. They did. And the whole congregation shifted. Glory to God. That's awesome. And then the heavens opened. It was awesome. Awesome. But anyway, I do want to tell this, because this is the last part I want to tell them. But Brother Bob and Cindy, he was from Michigan. That particular day, there was 80, I think it was 87 that came for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Wow. Of these 220, I think, kids that came.
So they were all in the auditorium, which is their kind of auditorium, where it's just like a pavilion. So Brendan and I was in a classroom right across the campus there teaching the pastors. And everybody was spread out in different rooms teaching. And while we were teaching, all of a sudden, I heard this real loud noise. And I went, I jumped up and ran to the door. I said, God, you know they had tornadoes here? Oh my. It sounded like a tornado.
And I thought, well, what kind of storms do they have? And I didn't see anything, but I heard it. And then I heard these kids all just shouting over there. And all this noise coming up out of the auditorium where Bob and them were. And the Holy Spirit roared in there. Wow. Like a mighty wind. Yes. And filled all those young people. Hallelujah. I was shocked. And I said, I got to go over and see what's going on. Brendan said, no, Shirley, you've got to teach. I said, I've already taught.
Remember, we're doing tag teaching here. But because she couldn't go, she didn't want me to. Not fair. And she wouldn't let me go. And I said, OK, OK, OK. But since it's over, I'm making a beeline. And I did. And the Holy Spirit was still just going. Just these kids were all just lost in the Spirit. They'd been delivered. It's gone through deliverance. They'd gone through inner healing. And now they've been filled with the Holy Spirit.
Glory to God. And the Lord spoke and said, I have raised up many evangelists in this group. A year and a half later, I got from one of the youth pastors that was there, I got a phone call about 2.30 in the morning. And he was saying, ah, Mama Shirley, oh, you need to be here. You need to see. You won't believe it. You won't believe it. I said, those young people are evangelists. They're going all over the city. Thank you, Jesus. They're going in the churches. They're going in their schools.
Said, there's so many young people getting saved in school that we have to have youth pastors to come and meet with them in the afternoon or in the mornings. Wow. It's just, yes, just poured out, poured out. Thank you, Jesus. And he said, the churches are so full. And he said, I'm pastoring three churches right now. Wow. Thank you, Jesus. And he said, you've got to come see your fruit. He said, it's just amazing what God's done in the city. Wow. Thank you, Jesus. Isn't that amazing? It is.
Thank you, Jesus. Thank you. I didn't get to go back after that, but I got a lot of reports. Beautiful. Thank you, Jesus. Michael said, Mama Shirley, he said, I don't lay hands on them. He said, I do like you. I just hold my hand up and speak. And he said, they get all kinds of healings. Thank you, Jesus. They receive the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah. That's what I want to believe for.
You told us a story last night at our house about what happened when you were in Argentina, and you heard Carlos Anacondy. He was having a huge crusade there. And you arrived, and Brother Marco Sturmedieff, who was the interpreter in those days, and he set things up for Sister Gwen and others to visit there, he took you there as a special moment. There were huge tents for deliverance and for healing. And the rest is open air, right, with a tall platform.
And tell us what you told us last night about what you saw when he came down off of the platform. OK. Well, number one, he was quoting a scripture when we drove up, Acts chapter 3, that they went walking and leaping and praising the Lord. So I told the team, I said, we're going to see miracles tonight, because I know that scripture, and we've used it many times and seen miracles. So when we went and they sat us near his platform that was built up high, we kind of sat back behind it.
And they had a tent for healing, a tent for deliverance, and that's the way the whole area was set up. So we were just sitting there, and he was just finishing up his message, and he was just coming down the steps. And I saw how everything was just full of people, but I didn't really get a really good look. I just knew a lot of people were there, because it was a huge park. So he came down, and he went to the front of the platform that was built up high.
He went up there, and there was a roped off area, and there was people standing in front of that rope, and he was praying for each one as he went. And I looked at that, and I thought, he'd be here forever. But anyway, all of something grabbed a hold of me. I've had this happen before. I don't know what it is, but something grabs me right there and just pulled me. And I went up those steps of that platform.
Nothing in the police would come, or I was doing something out of order or something wrong, or that Brother Marco's getting in trouble. Nothing. I just went up the steps. Well, I could see I was going, God, I want to see the people. I want to see how everything's going up here. I've been in a lot of crusades in Mexico, and I said, I want to see how they're doing this. And so when I was up there, I said, God, that man is going to be here for three weeks.
There's no way he can pray for all these people. What are you going to do? And when I asked him that, I saw this beautiful golden whirlwind, but it was upside down. The tail was in the air, and the opening, the bottom of it was, I mean, the mace was down. And it was just swirling over the people. And I saw people grabbing their bodies and screaming, and they were just hitting their heads. I guess this is where the power of God was hitting them.
And they were just hitting their bodies and screaming and throwing their hands up. And I could just see that I saw black demons leaving the people and going up into being sucked up into that. And that's how he was doing a quick work. It's just awesome. It was amazing. It's a sovereign work. It was sovereign. And that's why we can't look at things with natural eyes. We have to expect the sovereignty of God to step in and do something supernatural. Right.
Yes, this is a day and hour that God's going to start doing supernatural things. Absolutely. Yes. I think the church is going to get desperate enough with the situation that we're in. I think it's going to start getting more serious with the Lord and more dedicated to where the Lord can use them. Yeah. Yes. Now, I want you to tell another story that you told recently.
I've heard you tell it before, but I think it is so faith building because it starts with you in a place of not having the faith for it. You were in Honduras, wasn't it, on a mountain in a Bible school? Yes, Tegucigalpa, I think it was, wasn't it? That's the capital of Honduras. We left that area and went into another area in the mountains. And it was a dry season. And we were doing a pastor's conference seminar. And Anita had helped set that up.
And some other of our handmaidens that lived there helped set that seminar up. And it was up on top of this real tall mountain. It had one road, which is important to remember. We had one road going up. And you had to come down that same road. That was the only way up and down was that one road. So we always anoint everything as soon as we get to where we're going. We set our perimeters. Right, thus far and no farther. Exactly. And that's what we had. Thank God that's what we had done.
And especially the gate, we always anoint the gate. So we had done that. We were already moving in the seminar. And Linda Hartzell, who's passed recently, we'd like to honor her. But she was speaking that morning on the authority of the believer. So Ida Mae and her husband Frank are both deliverance ministers. They've written many books. They've been in ministry for many years. Of course they both passed away by now. But anyway, they were powerful people and very humble people.
They were sweet as could be. Yes, they were. And powerful. And Linda, yes. And Linda was speaking on the authority of the believer. Now flags was new to Ida Mae. They were fairly new to me. Using flags in worship. Yes. Different colors and so on. Right. Yes, so the witches had told the pastors when they heard that we were coming to do this convention that they were going to burn us down when we came. That's pretty serious. Yeah. Yes, and they just happened to forget to tell us.
And so the Hammons were teaching on seminars for pastors. And they were teaching on which grad the occult deliverance and exposing the demonic spirits. So they were always stirred up because of what was being taught. And then of course Linda was teaching on their authority. We are authority over that. So she said we need to go out and do something because they had set the mountain on fire and it was a real dry season. We could feel the heat. But the smoke had gotten real thick.
And it was coming into the building where we were. And she said we've got to do something. And I said, well, what are we going to do? I mean, what could you do? Right. And the pastors were all getting restless and scared. And they were wanting to run. And I was wanting to, like I said, I was wanting to run with them. She said, well, just get that red flag and follow me. That's what I did. So we went out there and on the outside. And I said, what are you going to do? She says, I don't know.
I don't know. God will give us something. And I said, I wish you'd hurry. So our road is covered. We can't get off the mountain. We're trapped. Because that's that one road. And it is covered with smoke. The whole mountain on that side was covered in smoke and fire. The heat was so hot when we went outside. We could hardly stand it. And it was advancing very rapidly because it's dry, real dry. And it burnt fast. It burns fast going uphill too. Yes, yes.
And I mean, the flames was as tall as the top of the house. Well, fire always advances on the ground. It crawls on the ground. You've ever seen forest fires? That's how it does. So I went out there with her. And it was so hot, I couldn't hardly stand it. My eyes was burning. And my skin was burning. I'm sure hers was too. And I'm wanting to leave. And I said, I'm burning. And I said, what? We need to hurry up and do something. And she said, well, I got it. I got it. I said, what is it?
And she said, well, the Bible says in Hebrews 11, by faith they quench the fire. So she said, surely pass the word along and tell them we're going to use our faith to quench this fire. Yes. I passed the word. So I did. And I watched a miracle in front of my eyes with this fire. It was like, you know, I guess when the Red Sea opened. And I saw it. The fire was crawling and advancing low on the ground in front of the high waves of fire that was behind it.
And we were standing just a few feet from that fire. Wow. And suddenly we were just decreeing and loosening and quenching and commanded it to cease. And the Lord opened my spiritual eyes. And I saw a liquid, you know, because as it crawls on the ground, the fire advances on the ground. I saw a liquid in a vessel.
I don't know if it was water or if it was a substance of some kind, but I saw this liquid being poured out of a vessel, like a pitcher, low on the ground in front where it was advancing. Wow. And it worked. Glory to God. I mean, the fire went out. So then she said, of course we all shouted and danced and rejoiced, you know. And then she says, now then we need to speak to the four winds. I said, call for the winds, the four winds of heaven. I'm going, no, what? I mean, all this was so new to me.
And she said, call for the four winds of heaven and blow it back down the mountain. I said, okay, I agree with you. And wherever that is in the scripture, I agree with that. And so we call for the four winds. I'm operating on her faith. Okay, so we did. And that's exactly what happened. Glory to God. We came and blew it back down. So we all went in and shouted it and rejoiced and the pastors all were excited, you know, and we had the music going and we're just having a good time.
And so we talked about it for the next two days. It was so awesome. And then all of a sudden they set fire to the, on the north side, on the other side of the mountain. They were determined to burn us out. So the people who own that facility, which was Benny Hinn's brother was the one on that facility. They had built this rock wall that ain't tall all the way around the perimeter of the property. And so- About three feet tall. And so the next day they started the fire over there on the backside.
And Adamay was up in years, you know, and she couldn't crawl up on top of that wall. And I knew she couldn't. And plus we had to go through a bunch of rocks and there's boulders and there's a lot of, you know, briars and whatever. But so I told Linda, I said, Linda, we gonna have to do this. And I said, you been teaching it and we got to put it in practice. Practice but to preach. Authority of the believer, yeah. Yeah, I'm gonna put it off on her. I said, we gotta go. And so she said, okay.
So we told Adamay and they prayed over us and we went and the fire was pretty close by then anyway. And so we crawled over everything and I helped her put on the wall and I crawled up on the wall with her and I put her on this end and I got on this end. And I said, Linda, don't come down until this fire is blown back. She said, okay. But you know, it was very intense. And it was just the two, Adamay wasn't there. And- Teacher wasn't there.
Right. And I wasn't as familiar with that scripture as Adamay was. And so anyway, we were just quoting every scripture and we was quoting that same scripture too but my faith level wasn't where Adamay's was and I knew that. I'm just learning. But the word is powerful. Exactly. And so anyway, we were just praying and she says, oh, Shirley, it's so hot. I can't stand it. I said, don't you dare move. And she said, so she prayed some more and I prayed some more. I said, let's pray the same thing.
And I was shouting back, we were shouting back and forth at one another and the same scriptures and things and everything. And so it was so hot. She said, I can't stand anymore. And I said, yes, you can. And I said, you cannot come down. You cannot. And I said, you have got to begin now to command that fire to go back. And we now we get to call for the winds. Yeah. The winds, the four winds. And so we did, but we could hear the trees crackling and popping.
There was houses, it was burned up on that side. We could see the houses because the woods was just all burnt down. You could see the houses that got burned up on the way up there and they were destroying other people. Oh my. And it was terrible. And so the fire began to move back. And then here come that same thing again. Oh, you saw it in the spirit. Yeah, saw it in the spirit. And the Lord put it out. And I said, now let's pray for the four winds to blow it back down. And he did and it did.
So we conquered that one. And our faith was really built. Yeah. Yeah. To go from a place of, I don't have faith for this, to just step out in faith and do it because the word says it. Yes. And standing on the word will build your faith because God is putting his word even above his name. It's just so powerful to get your faith built by seeing the word come to pass. And the more you live, the longer you live, the more experiences you have like that.
I wish we had time to go on and tell some more, but I think it's probably time to wrap it up now. But Shirley, would you pray for our listeners that their faith will be built because they have heard these stories of your faith being built? Well, I think the simplest thing that we can pray and we can say is we have to believe what the word says. Yes. It's not a story. Right. And we look at the Bible as this is a story that happened to somebody else, but it's for us as well. That's right.
So we have to realize. It's a living word. It is a living word. And that it works for us just like it did the people that it was written about. I mean, I'm writing a book right now about my experiences. It's the same thing they did in the Bible. They just wrote about their experiences with the Lord. Yes. Right, same difference. So I said, that's what we're doing. So Father, I just thank you.
And I pray today that you will quicken your miraculous word, your word that stand when everything is gone. So that your word is forever settled in heaven. Yes. Yes, Father. It is sure. It is steady. Yes. It is forever. It is forever word. And that we can depend on that Lord when we put our heart and our faith into it. So Father, I pray today that some things that we have shared here would encourage the hearts of people that are listening to know you can use the word of God.
It's not just a written word. It's a living word. Yes, Father. You can take this word and then you can apply it to your life or apply it to your situation or apply it to your sickness or apply it to whatever. Yes. And God will act on your faith. Yes. It's not on God, it's on you. It's on you acting on his word with your faith. And God will give you a miracle every time. Unless you have things that are not right in your heart that needs to be dealt with.
And the Lord will let you know that if you're honest before him, Lord, is there anything in my heart that is blocking what I'm asking you for? Is there something there, someone that I have ought against or I have unforgiveness or I have bitterness toward? That many times that is the reason that we lack having the Lord move for us. And so Father, if there's anything in their hearts, I just ask you just to simply bring it to their attention. Yes, Lord. Yes, Father. That they can just repent of it.
It's not a big deal. It's just being obedient to the word. Yes. And so Father, they can clear their hearts and make things right. Lord, we live in a very serious time in our nation that we need to have our hearts right. Yes. And our relationships right with people. Yes. So Father, I pray that people will start cleaning the house. Yes, Father. And get in our hearts and our minds and our lives and our relationships and our families together, Lord. Yes, Father.
In unity, in love, the way you've called us to do it. Yes. And so we just pray, Lord, that they will take some of the words I've spoken here today, some of the examples. God, if you do it for me, you'll do it for them. You're no respecter of persons. Thank you, Father. So we pray, Lord, that they will begin to act on your word. I'm just saying, if you all wanna just really get some faith in you, Brother Hagen, that was my spiritual father, he is still on the internet today. Yes, yes.
On YouTube, and you can get him in. And if you listen to this man and you receive that word like I did and begin to act on what he's teaching, your faith will build and grow like mine did. Beautiful.
