"We are all imitators, undoubtedly. […] We learn and act the way we were taught, the way we saw our parents acted, […] we learn often by imitation."
John commands "[...] do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God" (3 Jn 11).
Ultimately, "Christ has shown to us the way through his sacrificial love and service" which we are to imitate.
