Episode description

This week Rosie is joined by comedian and founder of β€œFoc It Up Comedy Club”, Kemah Bob 🎀 to talk about queerness, creativity, and carving out space for yourself both on stage and in life 🌈

They chat about how comedy helped Kemah step into her identity with confidence, and why creating spaces that centre women and non-binary people feels so important. Kemah shares her journey with coming out, and navigating her identity on her own terms πŸ’Œ

The two also get into the nuances of queer spaces, from who feels welcome where, to the subtle dynamics of attraction and visibility. They unpack the role of labels, and more specifically discuss how they can offer both safety and limitation.

Of course, Rosie and Kemah dive into dating: from fuckboy eras and avoiding apps, to knowing your type and where to find them. They swap thoughts on who pays on dates, where to actually meet queer women, and the differences between queer culture in London and the USΒ  πŸ’žΒ

And finally, they celebrate the joy of finding your people, whether that’s through comedy, community, or a queer networking event πŸ˜‰
