Episode description

Welcome to a Girl Take the Lead Sound Bite, a short episode which may be a bit more about a topic we’ve covered or a quick inspiration. This episode builds on Ep 76 where we explored Emotional Intelligence by digging into the book Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman.  He had so many great things in that book that I wanted to share some of the insights he offered us. This episode is about what he had to say about what Artificial Intelligence and Emotional Intelligence will bring in the next 25 years.

Enjoy the listen!

And there was one thing that stood out for me and that was in the area of artificial intelligence and emotional intelligence. And what they'll bring us in the next 25 years? Here's a quote from the book

perhaps surprisingly. Jing. Li the Advent of AI in the workplace May bode well for emotional intelligence as a. I gains momentum and replaces people in jobs at every level predictions are. There will be a premium placed on people who have ability in emotional intelligence. Now I know that that can bring up a lot of fear right now about what's going on and who will

lose their jobs? What kind of disruption AI is going to have But here's some things I thought that we're kind of reassuring for us one day, I cannot mimic the emotional messages, people send and respond to Moment by moment to as AI progresses. It's likely that sensing and managing emotions. Particularly in relationships will remain one type of intelligence that's time. He's Ai and three in a survey with over 2,000 Executives and

employees at all levels. Almost three out of four C emotional intelligence as a must-have skill for the workplace in the future Goldman also provides an example where computerized robots which are improving surgical outcomes right now. But when it comes to bedside manners, the warmth and assurance that a real human gives robots, just can't make the cut, he adds that smart organizations will emphasize emotional intelligence to a far

greater extent. Stent than they currently do and especially during the hiring and training process. This is such good news for those of us who wear our emotions, on our sleeves and perhaps, it helps us deal with a bit of the fear that can come up with the unknowing and the uncertainty of where a I will go.
