Hi there, It's Sue and thanks for joining me for Tips and Talk Day. These are bite sized topics that I pull from community questions and things that I'm observing in the world of handmade small business. If you'd like to submit a topic, DME over on Instagram at Gift Biz Unwrapped. Before we get started, I'm gonna share a secret with you. One of my superpowers is the ability to get an enormous number of tasks and projects done each and every week.
I easily meet deadlines, rarely forget to do something. I know at the start of each day what needs priority, attention and action type A personality. Yes, and a follow through on the Kobe assessment, which should have given me the clue, but it wasn't until people started commenting to me that I realized not everyone naturally knows how to do this. It's the biggest single contributor to the growth I always see in my businesses without spending hours and hours working either.
It's about focus and doing the right things efficiently. Prompted by all the questions on how I do this, I went about finding a way to help you perform at a higher level too. I analyzed my methods and formalized my process, which is one many of my coaching clients. Now, also follow. You can use it too. It's all part of a tool called the Inspired Daily Planner, made specifically for gifters, bakers, crafters, and makers. Make no mistake, this is not your ordinary planner.
First off, it comes with a video explaining my productivity strategy and the physical planner isn't dated, so you can start using it the second it arrives at your doorstep, and that's not all included for each day is a motivational or business building tip and plenty of space to capture and book in time for todos scheduled appointments and all those ideas that are now getting lost. You can watch the video for free and then get your inspired daily planner@giftbizunwrapped.com slash inspired.
Ever wonder why experts recommend so many different ways to get the word out about your business? I mean, there's your online presence with a website, numerous social media platforms, and within those platforms, various options of posting, meaning static posts, carousels, videos, reels, Then you have emails, an SEO strategy with blog articles and YouTube videos, and let's not forget in person shows, just saying all of this is a lot and this isn't even a complete list.
What's the reason behind all this? I mean, can't you just sell it craft shows and call it a day? Yes, of course you can. As the owner of your business, you can do anything that you want, but if you want, this isn't how the most successful brands behave. They utilize different methods of reaching out to customers and incorporate them together to form an even more powerful approach to communicating and attracting customers.
When you have multiple ways of connecting with people, you're also branching out to different audiences. That alone is beneficial, of course, but there's something else. Some statistics. On average, it takes between six to seven pokes to prompt action. In fact, 92% of people visiting your website aren't there to buy just yet. They're Searchie for a product and they find you or they have questions about your product.
Specifically, wanna know who you are as a maker or are comparison shopping to name a few another stat. Only 17% of customers browse online with the intent to purchase the first time they visit your site, and 82% of customers wanna see a product in person before they buy online. Given this, don't be discouraged when people open your emails, but don't click the links or do click a link, but don't follow through to a sale. Keep going with your social media posts, even when it feels pointless.
72% of people buy a product they've discovered through social media. All of these touches through a variety of methods are necessary before someone is convinced to buy. That's why repetition and consistency are important. You may feel you're communicating too much by using all of these avenues to get your message out, when in fact, your audience only sees a portion of them.
Now you know that when they see multiple emails, posts ads and interact in person two, these combined together to increase your touches, that's what will lead them closer and closer to being your next new customer. That's a wrap. I'm a get to the point kind of girl, and this is what you can expect from these quick midweek sessions. Now it's your turn. Go out and fulfill that dream of yours. Share your handmade products with us. We want them, and they bring us both so much happiness.
