Hey everyone, it's Tuesday. It's December sixth, twenty eleven. You're listening to the Giant Bomb Cast. I'm Ryan Davis. Vinny Caravella is back in the mother fuck Kid Owsviny Caravella. Hey man, how you doing? Oh man, it's been so long. It's been a long people that we had to fill this chair with. I feel him. We had Will Smith had to be here. They don't even know how to speak English. Alex Navarro is here. You're back now, I'm back, found my way back to

the office. How much Thanksgiving? Man? You know what rest you guys? See? Yeah, I'm just gonna see because it's been so long. I have no idea what's going on. We got some mellow music. But on how was your Thanksgiving? It was fun. We I moved houses apartments on Thanksgiving right before Wow. On the Tuesday was our move day, and then I'm packing on Wednesday. We had movers, right, We did have movers, but convinced movers to move on the day before thanks give Tuesday.

Okay, so you know you pay movers by the hour often, so then you just wind up trying to move as much shit as you can by yourself. Sure, it's terrible. It's terrible. You're like, why do I have Why Why am I paying for this moving? Because now I'm just gonna try and move as much as because I wanted them to finish as quickly as possible. But they're good. Sure called me. Don't I still owe you in moving? I know. I think we're square. Didn't you help me

move that TV? Oh that's right. Yeah, I think. Did you get rid of your giant? I did. That's a whole other podcast. Okay, well we'll get to that. I will say that my giant CRT found the best home I could think of as a monitor for somebody's DDR machine. That was a beat mania maybe it was, but yeah, that's great. Part of the Canamy b money line, Yeah, sort of money products. But they're cracking the case off of it and just yet right in it. Wow, the guy owned an arcade. He started his own arcade.

Wow. Yeah, it is in his apartment. No, No, that's like I think, I don't think so. That's like when you send your dog off to the country to live it afar. Yeah, I first got room to move around and run around. It's like the best with all the other dogs having looked at like monitors for replacement arcade machines, like this is great, this is fantastic because you know that. Yeah, no, that's tough to find it. Yeah, who else is gonna take that stupid thing?

It was stupid. You tried to sell it off on me. I barely have working television sets. It wants three pounds? How think it was the thirty six thirty four four in three xbr wide screen. I've watched TV on it's beautiful set. It is nice, it looks nice. It's a contrasts. But yeah, god damn it heavy. I didn't realize how much of an albatross that was until I got rid of it and I felt like

I can move anywhere. Yeah. No, I mean I had I had the thirty six, like the four by three thirty six, and weega like you're pretty much just right prior to that, Yeah, and I got like Twitter bucks for I like, just please take it, let go just whatever. Yeah, however much it needs to be, it's crazy. I did have to carry it down one more time down the steps. That was intense. Uh. But Thanksgiving was cool. Yeah, we had a twenty pound

turkey Jesus Christ. Two people were thinking, weren't Yeah, we're not two pounds zero? Were you still just in like big Italian family like Thanksgiving? I'm not going to complain because we finished the thing. Wow, so over the No, it's probably the next day or a couple of days. We had ordered the turkey months ago, like had him raise it like some farm was like, hey do you want a turkey? And it was a great make grow me a turkey for Thanksgiving? What do you want us to feed

it? And then they got back to us and like, were turkey's done. It's twenty pounds and we're like, wow, you can do this totally Wait what's weird? Yeah? Start this sounds more like turkey slavery than commission. Don't know that much about just get like a Google pop up at You're like, yeah, I wrote my own my own turkey you to raise? You raise turkey to a weight of twenty pounds entirely had a diet of peanut butter. What options did you have? Uh? Nothing? No, no,

no cage. You save five bucks by letting us put it in the cage. Every week I got pictures of my turkey. Did your turkey blog? Like? What's like how it was terrible blog Turkey dot tumbler dot com. Uh, it's just so we didn't know what peck peck gobble, peck peck and then Thursday, shit scratch scratch peck peck gobble, and it was great. Our oven could hardly fit it. So that's so that's why it

was twenty pounds. Is that you just said, all right, yeah, make me a turkey turkey number four, three, six, nine, no names, no names, tag that makes makes that makes is your personal. You don't want another number, just turkey. So they could they could have just had any fucking turkey said hey, your your turkey is ready, even though yeah, they could have just bought it from safe way, like put it in that weird look. Yeah twenty pounds. Ye please, This wasn't

part of like some CSA or something. Yeah, it wasn't really. It was from the well they like paired up with it. It was a big fucking turkey. It was like a license plate beside it. It was the good thing about twenty aunt turkey is planning room for stuffing. Oh yeah, stuffing is the best part. Yeah, we didn't stuff it. We put aromatics inside. Put some cinemas who doesn't put stuffing inside the turkey. We didn't we have the discussion before things sitting like so angry. It's like,

at the point, why would you get the turkey want? I want to like genetically breed turkeys so that they're smaller in size but have larger body cavities, so I could put more stuffing in them and have less turkey. If you go on that phone and I just have them have stuffing inside them from the beginning, they just grow stuffing inside. Okay, gross far fresh? Yeah why not? Yeah? Free stuffing, Jeff, Jeff, I like the cruel stuff. It makes it taste better. Uh yeah, there are

a lot of hand up in that cavity, stuffing out of spores. Get off this wall. Uh So that was fun and then I went camping. That was a lot of fun. Yeah, fucking out there. Wait before you before we get to that, you moved. You moved to the suburbs. Yeah, you got out of the state the card about a car and moved to the suburbs and suburbs and got what you don't know, Blazer and boat a lawn. Wish I had a lawn. That's what's your apartment? So I can update. I just update my Christmas cars? How am I

supposed to send you Christmas cards? I'll tell you off the off the air this part out? Yeah five five? Uh yeah? How is how has that change been? It's weird. Yeah, it's weird. It's fine. I grew up in the suburbs, so I started stuff around you. Yeah, you have to drive to most I say, that wasn't a very confident. Yeah, it's still getting used to it. Like I haven't. I haven't lived in suburbs in like fifteen years. So it's like we're just the

definition to have drive everywhere. Drive everywhere, so you have some stuff around you, but pretty much like driving too much. So I'm gonna figure out where I can walk to. But man, I've found a Sizzler. Yeah, so it's basically now it's just driving and being like, let's go to the Sissler. You can finally live this beautiful life of well, let's find another shitty chain restaurant. Look, they just they just opened a new a

new shitty restaurant, and it's probably great. It's probably great. It's it's what it's in the where every time before you go in, I know they just opened it. I've been there. But it's where Lions used to be, so you know it's yeah, the lions couldn't survive there, and this is what it's sprung up in its place. It couldn't survive there because they started closing at night. Yeah, and that's you know, if you're not open all night, what why are you even there? Denny's is just gonna

take all the business. They started closing night because they were sick kids coming in there with knives and just cutting up all the seats all the time and not buying anything. Yeah, I'll take a cup of coffee. I went to Denny's. I'm telling you, I'm having it all. You just pull over, well, listen, don't don't that. Don't pull a hammy man, take it and stride. You don't want to over extend yourself. You came out of the scizzler, just turned around with to the Dennis. That's

maybe the moon's over. My hamming. Sissler has not changed in twenty years. I don't know if you guys there are no Sisslers like I know. I think the last one, I think it wasn't even a scissler. I think it was like three z's in it. We was just talking about Texas toast this morning, Jeff and I. They have the salad bar? Still? Is is it like the Swizzler at the time I forgot? Kind of? Is it like as I forgot? Yeah? Is that? Is that?

Like how there were Jeffanese commandos and jungles in the Pacific until the seventies. Nobody told him the war is over. They didn't know. The food supply place just kept showing up with more cheese, sauce and taco shells. And they're like, I guess we're staying open a word from corporate. Uh? I want let's see where I can find in Arby's. I don't know if they have those as I got armies up near me. Five closed, don't do the five for five anymore. It's such an incredible deal I know

they had. It's the only way the Arby's is worth going to. Yeah, and even and even then, like Arby's is going pretty qualified? Come on, what what I like? Challenge? Allow me to present my rebuttal beef and the cheddar yep, period really good, really terrible is pretty good. I don't care, No, it don't care. It's I've got I've

got a dend them Arby sauce. Not interested the bottles of like that's that was the first time I, my young self had been exposed to creamy just out of a catch poured on like oh great, man, I can mix this with anything, ketchup great, dip my fries in it. Uh so, no ponder rosa. I don't think out here east thing. I did a lot of fast food again about seven pounds. Great, Yeah, it's thanks getting the suburbs and the suburbs, that's what it does. You have

a minimum ten pounds everywhere. So that's the that's a crazy part. So we had scisslor and they're like, oh and then usually in the city would just walk home and here's just get back in the car and then drive home and then you have a couch just like roll out of the Sizzlings, roll out of the car and just on the couch. Get a bike. I have a bike, but I don't want to bike to a Swizzler. That's

not living the bike back. That's I like the struggle that you're having where it's like I like to walk, but then a bike SnO giving up or in some weird way something kind of Sizzler. Yeah, we're gonna go to the sizzler. We're gonna drive to the sizzler. I might we already bought a damn hybrid. That's come on, let's put the bike in the car and then you can ride the bike back and she can drive. But yeah, yeah you can't. You can't not over eat a sizzler. That's kind

of why it's there. Yeah, now I need to find so I need to at Army's. You won't leave hungry, you'll leave unsatisfied, but at least least the food will at least do what it's supposed to do. A good Chinese buffet. I need to find. Uh, I don't know what that is. What I know what bad Chinese? That's with pizza, Yes, pizza, but they yeah, they'll have sushi, some random California rolls, some really bad calamari. Yeah, just like French fries. Like,

here's just a bunch of French fries. We just threw everything into a fryer. We don't even this is fried. Whatever it is that you want, we defried it. We just went to this. We went to the Costco, got one of everything. Tom sprinkled sentiment on them in front of Again, I don't I don't know. I don't know. It's just a random buccet of Yeah, used to be squid based and that soft serve I think, of course, of course the soft and the trick is use the use

the souper bowl. Don't use the ice cream bowl because they'll the ice cream bowls are too small. She's small. Use the super bowl, a little flimsy, fancy looking clear planting. What am I gonna put in that he used to plate? If you have to my disgust, that's what I put in that you put the toppings that you then dumped on later. That's possible moments. I'm actually kind of enjoying some of that part. It was just

like Ja and Jesse is just miserable and miserable. You've made me realize that I love Yeah, Like, look at all these chains, dumb things, the bad things, and keep the same spiral. It's fantastic. Went to a Walmart, Ye went to a home depot. Everything's a dollar. It's crazy. I'd never been in I hadn't been in Walmart and bout about ten years and that was this is the second time I've been in a Walmart. There they turn the lights on in a Walmart. I like that. I

don't like it. I like that because you know, what I've noticed is a trend in supermarkets to like dim it a mood like we're saving power, you guys. I don't like about the environment I want. I want to can't tell if this bread is moldy or not. I don't. I don't want any dark corners in my fucking supermarket, like I want it. I want a sketchy, secal Walmart a supermarket. No, no, no no, I'm just saying, like to counter to like the Walmart being super lit.

Like I've noticed, like the safe Way. You know, there's something about going to the Safe Way and you're in the booze section and it's like you can barely read the labels and you're just like, well, I need some of this. Uh yeah the Walmart is it smelled like a hospital. Yeah. You just imagine like when they close it down, showers of antibacterial foam just come rained down. Well, everything's like your seven dollars. Blu rays don't come from taking good care of the place and atmosphere, so it's

it's it's fluorescent lights. It was weird. I'll go back. Yeah, No food though, not like a costco. Well, they had McDonald's attached to it, but usual food there ye okay, that's usually just the McDonald's though. No, no, like Walmart food. Yeah okay, and yeah that's target. Target. Target has a bigger one. Target is more like I know Walmart. Target is more like, yeah, we're almost a supermarket. Oh no, I mean like serving food. Oh yeah, no no no, no, no no no. Yeah. I haven't found a costco

out and I don't have liked im. Sure there's one, what a cost count Yeah oh yeah, yeah, there's definitely. There's definitely cost Goest in the use bay. So anyway, Uh, moving was weird because I started getting rid of this is kind of related to games. So in moving it is packing up all my games, right, shelves and shelves of video games, and I was like, you do the purge? That was whiye do

we even have these anymore? Like in the next move, I make fucking thrown all this way because it'll all be digital, Like I threw out all my gaveaway or sold all my DVDs because I'm looking at DVDs being like this is the stupidest thing right now. At this point, market in time, just stacks of DVDs. Yeah, I never put them in. I put them in, and then like, the quality is terrible and I might as

well just get it off of Netflix or watch it on cable. You reached that point where you were at least I reached the point where I realized the last time that I touched this DVD was when I put it, but they pulled it out of the moving box from the last time that I moved onto a shelf, and now I'm putting it back in exactly. So I got rid of most of my DVDs. I the couple that I just need, and then it's like, you are you gonna replace them with Blu Ray or

is that just no, just nothing, you just don't need that. Yeah, that's that's right. And that's what I've kind of felt with the games, but I couldn't get rid of them. So so now I took the

games off my shelf. They're in a box in a closet. Uh, And I only have like the kind of shelf of shame of all the games that are kind of like I bought, are unopened or like I really want to play, you know, this game Eternal Sonata someday I'm gonna play through Eternal Sonata or Rogue Galaxy or whatever else is on that there's a trend of RPG. Yeah, that you're never going to actually play every Final Fantasy. After he tried to rationalize, like, like the last time I moved,

when I picked up God, what was it? It was some? It was some? Uh was Viva Panada, which, like I had, I'd always meant to get around to. But I've played it enough that I knew I would like it. I just not sat down and like replayed it. But like I realized, this is the third time I told myself I should really get around to playing that, because I've moved every year for the last four or five years, and I was like, this is the third time

that I'm gonna keep it out. Yeah, no, I I gave it to a friend or I was this I'm not I know, I'm I can buy this on demand, Like if I if I really think I want to play this, I have hoops, I can jump through to do it. And so I got rid of a ninety percent of my stuff during my last move. I own maybe like twenty games. See, like I kept on because I was thinking back it was like GameCube games and PS two games. I was like, you know, we kind of use those for work,

Like I can't really get rid of those. Yeah, even though it's like three boxes worth of games, it's just three boxes. Man, it's gone. It starts that way. Yeah, whatever you're you're in the burbs now, man, you've got you've got space, got space space. I don't have that. I don't have that. Uh movers didn't appreciate it. But we've got space. Books moving books, books. Books. Books are way

worse than like eighteen boxes a book. I got rid of a lot of books, like time, Like you want to look all erudite and have hell of books in your house, but fucking books, excess series for for things. I hate that. Like here's a seventeen adapters your iPod can fit in the stereo kind of thing, or like belt clips for old cell phones. And I probably still have like yeah, like a dozen like little inserts for an adapter inserts for an adapter I don't even own anymore so that it could

fit like like oh, like six different generations of iPods. It's like I don't even have the thing anymore. And I still last time I went through a box and there they were. I literally counted seventeen USB cables. I was like, I don't I don't need this so ever have enough? What are you talking about? So I keep I keep all those in a special

bag. I have a bag that's nothing but crazy fucking us. The problem is I got I got rid of I ended up getting rid of too many and then any of the usbk I was like, how do I not fucking have a USB cable? Husband got rid of all? Yeah, I got to go buy one, and I found it deeply ashamed. See now now video your ster story is of cleansing sounds very liberating, but then Patrick too much your your tail, your cautionary tail. Yeah, it's just me from

throwing all my shit away when I get home tonight. Yes, that's the lesson to take away. It's like, okay, right, don't get rid

of the well moving is rich because you start consolidating too, right. So I did wind up with like just a mound of like network cable that had been scattered throughout the apartment and being like, oh god, I have like twenty seven network you know, CAT five cables and like eighty seven IDE cables that you know just like all bundled up and like other boarders don't even have

ideas, but I still love them, Like what do you do? And forty seven VGA to dv I converters like you know, and just you just wind up consolidating, like holy fuck, Like look at all this stuff? Why do I have all this? What is this? I don't even know what this adapter gostude? Like the pieces that come with the seven PCs that built since I moved to San Francisco, like things that would plug into the back, like extra USB slots and like you know this thing, it's like

Wi Fi. It's just just a front for this other slot that I'll plug into a card somewhere. You don't know what this does anymore. So anyway, I moved and now I'm packed, and now I'm pretty much settled into the suburb suburban viney. Nice. Yeah, welcome, thank you. It's great. Three year. Did you play any games? I played so much? Saints Row the Third? What you think I really enjoyed it. Yeah. I could not stop playing that game for thirty three hours or whatever.

It was a long time. I complete the entire thing. Did you do all the Saints book stuff as well, I did everything in that game except for the challenges that are in the Saints. Yeah, jeff you you mopped up this weekend, right, Yeah, I didn't do any of the Saints book stuff. So like the assassination, Yeah, the assassination is the car

thefts and a bunch of the challenges and stuff. All I really need to do achievementally speaking, is play as a girl, hit the thirty hour mark, and then taunt a bunch of dudes taunts that I got to get the thirty hours. And there's the one where you got to kill people with the penetrator and the fart in a jar. Right, but where do you get the you have to drink the flash bang? Oh yeah, upgrade it to the level four I think, and then you get fart in a jar?

Right. Uh the I just want to point out what you just said, upgrade that flash bang to the fart in the jar and then everyone nodding here. Yeah, but it did show up also in the game, So like when I saw the game, I was like, oh wait, like, how am I going to keep this? Or it shows up and they don't even really justnowline Oh okay, here's here's a little I don't know if this will work. It didn't work all the time, but it works. Sometimes

you get the phone call where you can get rid of your notoriety. Uh, there's like a call of dude like writing. Yeah, sometimes it works on the car theft stuff, like you jump in the car and then you get five star notoriety. Sometimes you can call and it'll wipe that clean. Sometimes it does. It didn't work for me, and sometimes it did, and then you just drive home because that stuff, like the bigger cars, like the armored vehicle stuff was really hard because they moved so slowly and you're

just getting shot by planes and everything like that. But man, that game. The game is just really fun. It is a fun game, and they I feel like they make fun their priority. But it's wrapped in such a great production pack kid that even though it's just fun and stupid. Uh, it does like Marks was, Like Merks two was really fun. Yeah, but the kind of production behind it fell apart in some areas and it's just solid the whole way through. The animation is really good. The voice

acting is top notch. There's some parts it falls apart, but for the most part is really good. Uh. It's funny. It's funny, which is it's so hard to do and like kind of natural for what's going on, like the craziness that's going on. Yeah, it's because they're kind of fourth wally, but not too like it's enough that like the game's nodding along with you, like, yes, this is going to go with this. But I think it's cool. I think it's funny. But they never but

it feels like they never know, they're never acknowledging that it's funny. Well, yeah, they never overstate anything, just do it like, oh that happened, Oh fuck, onto the next thing. Yeah, And there were just there were parts in it where it was just like that's really funny, that's that's that's pretty clever. And the guy I was using the English voice guy and he was it was it's not just like selecting a random it is

totally that character. Uh now is the only way I can think of all the dialogue that is spoken throughout that game, it seemed like it was specific to that accent, like because he was using slang and other guys were responding to him using I know, Jeff and I was we played through similar sections, like I saw some stuff that he was playing as as the default male

American male voice. I was playing as the default female. And there's stuff where it's like, okay, the basic the gist of that is the same, but like different, different delivery and sometimes different actual lines. Yeah, that's kind of And I hear that there are parts we're playing as the zombie is supposed to be really really good. Does he ever speak or is he just grown or mumble? I don't know, Okay, yeah, I kind of wan. I kind of wanted to change, but like I said,

my guy, I got so used to my dude. Yeah, like I so I kind of messed around with the PC version over the over the weekend and created a new character and went with the English guy. And I want to because it's it's weird, even though I know what all the lines are with the other g it's just, yeah, I can't fake in it. Yeah. I played on the PC and it looks fantastic. It looked and it ran look smooth. Yeah I did. Is No Saints were two in

that regard I had. I didn't have a couple of like weird little buggy issues pop up here and there, but nothing that really detracted from the game. A couple of those those Saints Book missions, like the car theft stuff was a little weird. Weird stuff would stay on screen sometimes that was like, you know, meters like when you do power slides would stay on screen. A couple of times happened on the three sixty version last night. Oh really, Okay, I thought it was maybe the PC, but maybe it's

just in the game the code. But yeah, man, that game is super fun. And I wanted to play Skyrim. That was my thing. I was like, I'm gonna played Skyrim this whole break break eight hours in and everybody signed. My wife signed off on it. She was like, great, you're on vacation, do what you want. It's a great I played Skyrim for a bit and then I was like, I should try Saints Row before I come back to work. And that was it. And he was like, yes, that was it. That was That was pretty much.

It pops Skyrim in like one or once or twice more and then this is like Saints was just really fun. I think I think I in fact talked to you, Yeah the esteem right right before you were going to dive into the Saints Row. Yeah, I was writing sky Room, Yeah, I mean sky rooms talk to him on his TV. Yeah, she's signing this into Steam and I was like, hey, it's funny. I haven't talked to so I don't see if he's okay. I've officially moved the PC

into the living room. It is straight up just next to the TV, plugged in Hdmi, uh, keyboard on the coffee table and mouse. That's where I was at for a long time. I've got an iPad, like if I need the check email or something, I just do it on there. And now it's just pretty with the way that I use my PC. I could probably get away with doing that because I have my laptop and I do most computing on that, and the PC is just for games and music

and yeah, media and stuff. Given that you're cohabitating, that may become overbearing at some point. She was the one who recommended it. She was like, she was like, I don't want to go eventually eventually having a keyboard and mouse and controller and all the stuff strown all over the place. It is just like, dude, I can't deal with this anymore. May I'll go wireless. I don't know, because mostly it seems like the stuff. Now I played All Saints Row with a controller and Skyrim, I'm playing

with your controller. That's my only worry would be like like actually playing on your coffee table or whatever with a game that demands keyboard mouse. Yeah, Like I was thinking some of the RPG stuff might get weird, but I haven't gotten into that yet, and some of the text might be pretty small, and I was a little worried about that cons on the game. Yeah,

so we'll see how it works out. What we need more than anything as a as a Steam interface, like the ten foot thing, you know, something something with text big enough that you can read, and something you can navigate with a controller. Yeah. The tech stuff, like when you're just in Windows is really really hard, Like like there's no good way to

pop up the Steam overlay right now. Can't you just run Windows at like super low resolution and then whatever game you actually launched runs it up proper.

I think you can also impact text size and stuff if you want to, but there's still no good way to navigate steams just seems like, yeah, that'd be something that Steam could address on the interest now, Oh, like you want to navigate with a controller, I mean you're basically turning it into dashboard at that point, right, I forgot that I was on Steam. Yea, once you're in the game. Yeah, a lot of a lot of those games are indistinguishable. Yeah, other than the fact that they look

way better. No, the problem with Saints Row with the controller is anytime you move the mouse, uh, it takes priorate so they're on at the same time. So like you know, if the table would vibrate or something and the mouse would move, it would change back into a cursor. Uh. And it only became a big issue. There are a couple of quick time events we had to like hammer on like the right trigger or something like that and be hammering on it. It's like, oh no, you need

to be hitting the keyboard. So it would switch from right trigger to left mouse and right trigger and left masks and hammering on it and the table shaking, and I got I got killed a couple of times. Man, there's some fun stuff in there. There's just some stupid fun things that the endings both of them are are Yeah, one I like better than the other, kind of until the point then I kind of liked the other one, and you're like, you know what either of these for the next one? Fine?

Whatever? Whatever. We if we wrote Saints Row four in the car on the way in this morning based on that. The bad ending and the stuff that's so the thing I don't want to spend too much time on because he spent a lot of time on it already. But the thing that is so crazy that I love so much about that game was the fun part,

Like you're getting perks at by the end of the game. By the time I hit the end of the game, I was invincible to everything, Like I could just could not take damage because I had leveled up to be are your invincible fall damage, You're invincible, fire, invincible, bullets, invincible, cars are invincible because it great. Also you have unlimited bullets, You're don't have to reload. You don't have to reload, go have a good

time when you get to that. That's really we're talking about this on before like while you were gone, but the moment when you get the no longer

having to reload, and guns are so powered up. He's just holding down the guns spring so like it was easy to go around and collect all the blow up dolls and stuff because I was literally just flying over the world and they show up on the mini map with another park and then just jumping out of the plane and never hitting in the parachute and just landing or trying to land in the crate with the stuff because I would just bounce in it.

I already tried that. You have any reason to go back and play damage, you know, why not? Why not? And then like you land anyways, I got an unlimited spply. Yeah, just calling the dude and it'll show up, right. Uh So, yeah, I would say. Another thing is, uh, early on in the game, just by happened, since I happened to get one of those swat bears, yeah uh,

and I put it in my garage right away. And so anytime I had to do anything that you know, I had to like kill a bunch of dudes like the wave based stuff, I just had to do bring in the swat thing and just sitting it. And those things are like a tank. He just mowed down seven waves and like five seconds. How many cars did you guys end up with? Because I have gotten addicted to collecting every like fast looking sports caring fun I barely ever you know what I'm like forty or

something really doesn't did you tune them? Uh no, I'd it tuned like two of them. Once I got the v tall my interest in another vehicle. It's really so loose. It feels good, but it's just like I can find whatever on the street. I thought a car, like playing yesterday there was a car that I hadn't seen through the rest of it, and it was it was a Temptress. I drove the re Caster through TEMs the Vortex once I got the Tever. Whatever it is that Burt Reynolds drive I

just got. Once I got to that point about some Lamborghini equivalent, it's the Trucione or something like that. That one's the best that I got. The Hover the v tal bike you can get by making that choice. But that didn't just looks the sound of the transforming vital so good. Yeah, it's just you just launched it into playe mode from the pad, from the from the helipad about like a foot off and he's like, all right, we'll take off of about a foot. Can you tune that thing? No?

No, no, I want to put a Nitris on it. Do you get the Nitress on anything? Pretty good? Uh, it's just stupid fun stuff. I'm on. So I'm on mission thirty nine out of forty seven. So A, I don't want it to end, so I'm kind of putting it also know that it's going to end. But B I waited until last night to put one dollar into upgrading weapons, and I feel like I've wasted I feel like I've wasted the entire game by not not upgrading weapons. Yeah, I thought, I just figured it wouldn't make that big a

difference. Level four default pistols, Dude, I went, I went straight to level four double death Blossom. Yeah, that's it's unstoppable. But yeah, I don't need any more guns. Good and reload. You just spra Wish I had had done that before, because I didn't know that they the weapons actually got different properties at higher levels, and they sounded a little different

too. Well. They totally change like the like some of them are armor piercing, some of them have like flame effect, they do all kinds of game. It's so silly, it's pretty stupid. That's so good. It's yeah, and it's it's interesting because you know, it's like we we spent a lot of time thinking about you know, a lot of developers spent a lot of time too, thinking about like what are ways we can make games more realistic and you know, how can we the immersion? Yeah, exactly,

like heighten the immersion. That's yes, that's a there's a great way of putting it. And then just like this game just comes along and it's just like the dumbest, most over the topic game, like hey, guess what, like yeah, this game also a big power fantasy, but you know what it is the ultimate power fantasy. And it really made me think about what I would want. I think we had this question before, what

do you what do you want from the next generation console? And like that game made me realize like just a nicer production value around all of that stuff, like nice animation, like uh, tons of vo like memory for like AI routines and stuff like that, and just tons of vehicles and it was just like in Solid sixty all platforms. So yeah, that's anyways, Like playing as much as I've played in the Xbox version, it's especially when you're in the V tall flying low like it's not of that frame. The frame

rate starts to it was pretty solid. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely uh yeah, but like in a great sound design like stuff. I don't know, there's just so many things about it that keep you playing that like this never soundtrack, and a lot of the stuff was just optional you don't have to do. They give you one of those side missions to do pretty much like introduce the character and introduce the side mission, like the escort stuff. Yeah, and then you know, if you don't want to do

it, don't do it. But I did it. Yeah, all this stuff isn't great. It was. It was. Some of it was a grind. Yeah, but there's only I didn't do any of the side stuff, any the optional side stuff until I was already pretty much invincible, right, so you know it's pretty easy. Yeah, it was. It was totally pleasant to do. Yeah, Like I normally hate all that side stuff

in games and don't ever do it. But I was like, oh, well, like once I figured out the trick to like, you know, I was having a tough time with like the insurance fraud, and I always had a tough time with the insurance fraud. But once they figured out just go on the highway, like, don't even stay in the zones, like where you're in the adrenaline zones. Go on the highway. You'll get it

like instantly every time, and you still get adrenaline. I just do the thing where I kind of just slide around on the top of the car, like I go, like I run towards the car, hit the rag doll, and it just kind of just grinded that myself against the car, like one car or the next step through a lane of oncoming traffic. I find also sometimes i'll alternate, if I alternate back and forth from one lane to the other from like different oncoming traffic. But if but if you're on the

highway, the cars just keep coming. There's no stoplight, so they never stopped him. It's probably that's probably faster. I never had problem with that, but I like, I like, you know, it's like, hey, rag doll, it's so stupid, so stupid gentline like pops you like fifty ft in the air. It's just like it doesn't even real it. There's nothing real about this. This is not even when I'm trying, but it has this seems to agree that you got from like the Burnout's crash mode.

Yeah, like it's very similar to that. Yeah, And it's just like, ah, this is goofy and dumb. It's so du I can't believe I just did that, especially when you're invincible like everything just becomes so ridicul because you're just launching RPGs at your feet just because like they're just dudes. One, you're just blowing everything up. Cares I killed everybody because that's really like that's the it's the you dying, not the other people dying.

That's like in any of those escort missions, right, I think, because if anyone dies, you can just go revival. It's just can I survive getting to them to revively? Oh and now I don't take bullet damage. Yeah, I'll just saunter on over here, pick up this person, and yeah we can go along our mary away. It was one of the car the cars would always blow up. But also like jumping into the cars,

Yeah, such a great mechanic. Yeah, like like like let's Jodie have to be close like you just like literally will launch twenty feet in the air and just kick through it. And it looks good the first But the first time that one of your homies does, that's a little jarring. I thought it was a bug the first time I had that happen. I don't because

you can see how it warps. I was driving the car down the street and I was like, you know, thirty feet away from the guy, and he did the you know, the the bow duke jumping into the window. But it's kind of like he flies up from behind, like feet first, flying up from behind faster than my car, which is like at speed that is not normal behavior. And he tucks into the like I come from. Why is there, super homie flying into my car? But it made

it so much. She's like, you don't have to wait for the animation to go, like, you just jump in anybody's car and they don't care. They don't care. They want you to have a good time. Your car is about to blow up. You're about to die. It sucks taking a really long time to get in and out of sucking cars. Jump in though, if you want to do that. They've come up with a bunch of custom camera angles and animations for that too, make that look awesome.

So yeah, just a lot of really smart and clever things that were done. Anyway, that's and added up. That was everything, that was it, That was it mostly uh just uh no, it's just enough. Uh man. I had a lot of real problems with encumbrance. Uh I went, I went heavy armor. Yeah, who knew that? Holding on how many cabbages do you have? I trying to sell them when I can. Those dicks never out of money. Did you see that video of the cheese

wheels rolling down the cheese in the game. The video starts out with him spawning him out of the console. Okay, either way, because I saw I saw the rooms full of hundreds of cheese wheels and just dropping them down the mont. Physics just go grinds almost a halt because there's so much physics going on. But yeah, there are literally thousands of cheese wheels bouncing off of each other and outstanding no clips down down the hill to get there faster

than they do, so you can see them all flying at you. It's it's it's magical. It's kind of like how my bag is right now. I think it's just because I'm wearing heavy armor. Light armor is seen to

get that perk or the there's the so there. Yeah, there's two two ways you can go about it. You can either you can either go through the heavy armor tree to nullify the weight to Spanish, yeah, I think I need to get that, or you can just put all your points in the light armor and then light armor is basically as strong as really, yeah,

it's way way, but that isn't one of the blessings. It doesn't one of the blessings remove yeah, o armor weight, but I don't know if that also gives you the sneak bonus on it if you want that as well. So if you're sneaking, I'm just doing them doing one handed in magic, and that's after me everybody starts out though well I think I think

that's how they purpose. Yeah, But then at least an experience I had was that I was not getting good enough in either one of those things, so I kind of had to pick one and focus on I'm doing all right, Like like I'll usually just hit a dude and then walk backwards and just blow torch him. So yeah, that sounds great to me. But the point that it broke in the game was when I, like, I started doing the magic college stuff and like getting heavier into magic, but I didn't

have access to any better magic. Oh and I just got bored of it because you have to get to skill up in magic pretty high to get the higher tiers of I only just got the first shout, like I barely started the game. But like, but I think I'm I'm at least twenty hours in or maybe not that many because I'm just doing all the side stuff, just like literally walking around. I'm like level fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, I don't know, I just walk around and just like you know, there's

just so much to do. Go under the land and see if anyone needs help, yep, solve people's problems. Yeah, that is a also a very fun game just in terms of like production value and stuff, like they did a great job. Kudos to them. Kudos to both of those guys. Yes to the sky Rim guys. Two games I feel like have are

better than they have any right to be. Like, you know, if you were to tell me like, oh, yeah, you're gonna really like this next Saints World game and be like yeah exactly, everyone like that, fuck you man, like I was, and I you know, I'm gonna apologize on the air. Like John Vidyaki early on was like, man, I'm really looking forward to the new scenes around. I'm like, fucking Johnny, what is your problem? Looks so dumb? What are you thinking?

Uh? Snow taste? What the hell? Keep going? And then I play the game and it's like, Wow, this is and if you were to be like, you know, yeah, you didn't play some more, like, you know, are you sick of Fallout in New Vegas and fall Out all that stuff and oblivion? And I'm like, no, that's what I'm feeling at all. And then it's like, no, it's well done. Wait they made it way better, yeah, way better and cleaned it up a lot, and I don't know, just found exciting new ways to

kind of break it and unbreak it and break it. Yeah, stuff backwards. Dragonsports Dragons don't play it MPs three, But that's you could say that about any Betheza game. Ye. Yeah. I'm also playing both of those on the PC and they just both look great and they're running great. Skyrim looks fucking unbelievable on the PC. It really really looks. The draw distances

fantastic. So what do you think, I mean, you know, obviously you haven't played a ton of sky Rim yet, but it seems like the big thing for kind of RPGs this year is that in Witcher two, Like, what do you think about Skyrim compared to Witcher two so far? Uh, it's weird the Witch or two. I feel like it's a lot tighter. Yeah, it's a it's a little it's not definitely not as right,

it's not Yeah, yeah, I don't know. Witch or two I really like because it's I really like third person kind of character driven games, and Skyrim is not really so I'm not getting that from Skyrim. Like you're kind of anonymous dude, there's no like, there's no backstory to you, Like you're filling that in for yourself. The witchery guy and then like he so he wrote books about this guy and then translated some of them into English.

Yes, some some some. Uh yeah, So the witcher has its own universe and you're kind of a little less role playing like he's got he's established, right, U guy Rahim is just like so sandboxy where it's just like just go do whatever you want? Are you good guy? Bad guy? I don't know both because I want to get all these missions done, so I got to kill this whole room full of people and then I gotta go

save the world like that. That's kind of been the weird part for me, is like I got a pretty deep into the main story quest where it's like I'm I'm the guy. I'm gonna save the world here from all these fucking dragons, because fuck dragons. I'll see you guys in about twenty five hours. I need to go become leader of the Thieves Guild and then stab everyone. See. I have to go kill a lady at her own wedding. I'll be back to save the world later. Okay, But dragons we

need. Yeah, No, don't worry a lot of them. They're really bad. I'll get there. I'll get to it. I'll get to it. Talking dogs. Look, I'm doing the Fighters Guild stuff now. That stuff seems I just started on that last time. I haven't played in about a week, but i've I've like, I'm like two missions in. I also, yeah, I also feel like I can stop it and then come back, and I haven't missed anything yet. The Quest Dogs really good, you know, just to let you pick it back up. I keep waiting

for that patch now, the second patch. Now it's just the Endless At some point, I haven't seriously played that game since like the day before it came out. Well, I'm catching everything else. That's been fine, but I'm nearing the point where like I've played all the other stuff I need to play, and it's hopefully that patch comes out this week and fix of the magic the two or three things that need to be fixed with any Caravel. It's yeah, so great to have. Oh thanks, it's great to be

back. Yeah, I'm sad Saints Row three is completely done. You just like just play it on another platform. I finished it on PS three. I almost have played almost store of it on three sixty and then I'm sunk like two hours into the PC version. That's bad, and I don't know what I'm doing. I've out six version, I've got the PC version stuff. I want to just really stupid. I only said that's left. It's like surf for like ten minutes on a car, so I just don't want

to do that. Car surfing is really fun. Can you leave the controller idole and just rack up money in your bank account transfer? I know, but can you rack it up to that transfer a limit? Probably? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I think it takes like twenty minutes. Yeah yeah,

I just know. I've never waited long enough, so every time I come back to it, there's only one chunk of money in there, and I've never actually let it waited long enough for it to build up to two chunks of money, So I don't know what two stacks even look like. Imagine just says number two down there, Bill, I think I always said, I don't know, said one for me. I always spent. I was always draining that account. Yeah exactly. It's just like spending all that

money immediately. Like, So that's that's kind of the point I'm at right now in the game is I just kind of need to leave it running long enough to get enough money to buy the last upgrades I want, and then they get expensive. Yeah, they get expensive, but like once you beat the game, and like there's crazy bonuses you get from just beating the game. And if you're going around and you know, buying up properties obviously, I mean I own all the properties buying properties, but also like the like

the gang domination makes a huge difference as well. If you own an entire island, then the I mean I have like just under fifty thousand coming in every time it rings up. Yeah, but I still have, you know, hundreds of thousands of dollars in upgrades both weapons and character to get I had everything, and I was still I had to wait to buy stuff. At the end, I have everything. Streaking, Yeah, always go streaking. I need to play my two hours as a lady, So I forgot

to do that two hours streaking. I have eight hundred points in it, though, so I don't I don't know. I'm probably not gonna go get the full thousand because it's just I can't just fy. I bought the season pass, Yeah I did too, and then I bought the I bought the other two things. Yeah, I was bummed. Oh, so first I bought the season passed and I was like, you mean that the other two things comes a part of this? Fuck? Yeah, that was fucked up.

I was like, well, I just bought the other two things and the other and one of him is just cheats which unlocked by pretty much playing the game, and also the cheats disabled chiemings cheats. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I never I didn't put type in one cheat. I bought that thing. And then I also, uh, I didn't use any of the night Wing night Blade or whatever it is. I drive. I used the motorcycle here and there because him for the dude, and you don't you get

the cannon ass or whatever. Don't you have to recruit him to get the Oh maybe you get him as a homie if you I did not do that I did just get both what you get both like the Actor and end night Blade. Oh as a homie, I think they are separate. Home interesting. You can either call the actor or you can call you know. It's super too because I wind up doing all the side mentions anyway, I didn't need the stag domination thing. Whatever the perk is the one news thing.

Yeah, I ended up using it. I used it on I used it on the territory with the least number of activities in it, because I was like, man, I don't want to like drob myself of all the studies, the one with the most Because when I was doing that, I was like, I don't want to do any of these. I would I were smart, I would have done it on the one When I bought it. I fucked up because I didn't realize that it that it was for just a

zone and not for that whole island. So I was like doing it by like, Okay, this is the island where I have the most things to eliminate, so let's go there, and then there is oh fuck, there's one thing here. So those choices are interesting and kind of a wasting yeah, But at the same time, like I wish you know that there were ways too get all of it by the end of the game, because they

let you do that in one respect. Yeah, yeah, they oc usually do Yeah with the ending that you once you've beaten it, at least go back all those other perks. You didn't get all them. Yeah, I was just sad about the apocayfist. The apocafist is pretty sweet, like that was yes, And that was the benefit of finishing it on PS three and then playing on three sixty, is that I did that thing both ways, Like I already know what that guy looks like under the mask. Forget it.

I think this because these fists make dudes blow up when you punch them. I think that one of the cheats you can use is like give apocapist, but it'll disable all that stuff. Yeah, I didn't get the I know. Is that kind of a bummer, But it was so worth it not to get it. He was wonder if he was right? It was so worth it. I wonder if you if you unmask him, is he unmasked at the end of the game. Yeah, yeah, well, okay, stop talking about this, but if you should, you should finish I'm

finishing it let's move on. At least graduated from you should play at least talk about progress. We can talk about something and well, at least, Brad, at least do you know the thing, the ship that we're talking about, even if not the specific things. Well, yeah, glad you glad you played the ship out of some saints. YEA. Welcome to the Burbs? Yeah? Are you the Do you greet everyone that comes to the burbs? Yeah, that's right, everyone everyone gives there. Eventually, here's

a five dollar coup on a scissor welcome. I can't stay in the mission for all your life. You will spend the video because I live around the corner from Camp Knducker because he likes it when his feet stick to everything that doesn't happened in the suburbs. No, there's isn't there more dog poop in the suburbs. I found my lawn that was not mine. It was not my ship, and I don't want a dog, so it was not my dog shit. Because I'm saying, you know, oh yeah, dude,

it's a big front yard. Yeah, it's a really big front Don't forget who you live with A lot a lot. It is a big lot. It's for sure. It's corner a lot. Man, it's nice. I didn't have to poop the whole camping trip, and I was psyched. Yeah, where did you go? Camping? Lakes and Noma? Nice? It was like my one thing I was worried about. Now I think two days I can make it. I can make it. I didn't want to want to dig a trench. You weren't like at a campground. You were just

out in the woods. It was cool, off the grid. No no cell phone reception or anything. No cell phone reception. Yeah, it was like a mile and a half high. Can It's gonna say you must have been in there pretty deep because it's lakes and you can make a phone call. Because I had to look up how to make a fire, and it might feel that someone was working. Oh this isn't working. Also, it gets dark, yeah, around like five thirty and then dark and then it's

dark and then that's it. Yeah, I was going to bed at like six. You had better figure out how to make that fire. Well, anyone in me the fire, it's it's like, okay, it's bright right yeah right here, but all the glowy eyes they don't care. Man, there's things yipping in the background, howling. It's just horrible Blair Witch project. I was waiting for like the fingerprints on the town. You that's why I haven't campus came out. I was. I was kind of more scared

of like weird people coming through than animals. Uh, it's just weird. Like Jesse was sleeping like a baby. She was, she was sleeping, and then it's like howling happened and it was like a fucking fucking rave of coyotes. Whatever's going on just with it's just like bullshit. Yeah, and then uh and then like fucking mountain lions growling in the background and she's sleeping.

That was awful. Sitting there with your k bar. I've got my knife in my hand, just like wide eye, just like you've never really like appreciate dawn until like you, oh, thank god. It's like, oh my god, the sun's up, like we made it. Like she's waking up and you've been up all nights. Like I'm thinking, like how I wonder what the best way to stab a mountain lion is, Like you

go through the top of the heads. You yeah, like literally trying to work it out, like you need to play more Skyrim because those those kill animations give you a lot of Yeah, especially with the wolves, pick them up, mace them down. I like when you make them eat the mace. Yeah right, so that's great too, that's great too. That's where that's where the Kyar might be might be going wrong, because it's got a point. You can't different nights, two k bars. I just want to

add both of them out there. Don't take them together, right, Darth maul k bar. Yeah, it was crazy. You know. You hear things walking around outside and just like you don't want to look, you don't want to know what's out there, and just work, just piss it on your tent. Last once I was thinking about it, I kind of like, no camping. He just ruined it for zero interest. And this sounds awful. It's fantastic until you just, you know whatever, I get used

to it. You're like out there in the woods, that's like, well, what are we gonna do? Well, it's just when it's done, you're still the dominant fucking creature out there. Man. You can't see it kind of not really yea. When it's like you can't see a thing, you could like like like scratch on you and stuff and like freak you out, but you're gonna you're gonna win. Not a fucking puma. Well,

there's no pumas out there. It's puma. It's like jump. I'm telling you you survived, have been scared by people enough that if you went out there and made away. Always we're playing my ring Jone menacing laugh. Yeah, if you just said that, saints laugh, SATs yourself. Also, feeding a fire is just it's an all day job keeping a fire going, fire going. Yeah, but it's fun, a lot of fun, good, a lot of fun. Anywayward, rapidly acclimating you to out of the

city, that's right. Jug went straight from shoes and from four squaring at your favorite tak area and living out in the woods, said no cell phone reception, building, fires, fighting coyotes. That's right. We went to Denny's everyone. Yeah, that's what you do. St people bring us food, stink stinking going to Denny's wearing the same flannel and war for three days. Yeah, it's great anyway, Patrick kick, Hey, that's gone hanging

out in EA Customers Support chat rooms. So what's going on with THEA customer sport? Well that yeah, well we can get out to that, but I haven't hanging out in customer sports chat rooms making up reasons for why I'm in this chet Yeah yeah, yeah, talking to the h beat in Charted three, what do you think? Uh? Like, don't Charted two a lot more than than three, Although three days have a pretty satisfying ending. I would say that it's pretty well. Yeah, uh and supernatural stuff is

better. Boy, I've never seen a game more blatantly just we have some cool tech. How do we build a level to show it off? That ship stuff has ship all to do with the story? Which one the the pirate ship stuff? Yeah, like the big grew. Literally it's two hours of zero impacts on the story, even even like without spoiling like even the one thing we're like, oh, well, here's how a character will intersect

its like. It's an amazing set piece and especially makes up for the fact that I hated that pirate section so much and the ship set piece is just

absolutely incredible. Yeah, that parts, that part's awesome. The games that again, I don't want to spoil it so much, but too many instances of I know it's an Indiana Jones type story, Like I know it's pulp but man Nathan Drake's ability to stumble right onto a scenario that he has no business being at the leaps of logic are just like I wish there were more supernatural elements to explain why why why he just finds this village like you have

no well, well there must be some explanation coming none does it maybe just need like some burn notice style inner voice. It's like when you're a treasure hunter, have a notice for they stumble into the No because Nathan, because Nathan Drake just bumbles into it. It's it's not even just like it. Yeah, I don't know what I was doing this the same shit out of say twice, but but I mean there's a couple there, there's and they

have been back to back and again. But that is this game Like it's just like, oh, this is so clear that they just built these stages and Amy Henning was has to find a story to make this all connect. Instead of uh, catching the ledge of the last possible second you have that like that was that was the uncharted two thing was like count the number of times someone barely makes the jump or is about to fall off the edge and someone grabs their hand. Yeah, that doesn't happen as many times in this

one, so it's so convenient. It's so convenient that I off board in the middle of the ocean and showed up at the village I needed to be, didn't need to pull that one off. But the desert part was cool. It is. I don't think it's nearly as good as I charted too his quiet moment, but it is cool up on the too. Well, the the beginning that happens again halfway through, well that know that, and

what's where it is? Where you walk around the village, Ye walk on the like the snow walking, the soccer ball, Like, I think I like the desert better. I then the desert starts promising and then just doesn't I feel like the story of the story. Yeah, I feel like the desert does do a good job though, of making you feel like you're aimlessly. It's very solitary. You feel very alone and also like lost and like,

am I doing this right? Yeah? There's that one turn where he's or like he's like, oh yeah, I've lost all hops, Like I'm so fuck. I just spent an entire day going in a circle and there's three hundred miles of deserting like two full days. Like here, if you stand there long enough, you find the Journey beta. It's got some pretty good stand tech that so we all enjoyed it, and that aiming stuff really does get a lot better with that patch. So I really want to go

finish it on Hard with that stuff. So I'm excited to see them go do something else. I feel after that, I'm like, I don't need Naughty Dog to make another one Charge. I don't think they need to. Yeah, from the ending of that game, it sounds like they're done, Like they leave enough open that that franchise can continue for Sony to like make spinoffs and things like that. I'm sure that Nathan Drake will still be employed.

Uh yeah, Nathan Drake will return in the Golden Golden Abyss. Uh so three months, I hope not follows their trajectory of Hayward and will make a new IP. I forget three months, like in some territories in a week inten literally yeah, December seventeen. Can you imagine it's like I ten, Yeah, here's another one charged game. Yeah, like really, like I don't need to play it, like yeah with the Vida y. Yeah, I just don't just well oops, toothful. I want to play sound

shapes. I want to try Yeah, sound shapes. Sound Shapes is awes. It's really good, just kind of worth there for be the kind of could have been a PSP game, but it's not. So it's not so what am I gonna do? You're gonna you're gonna sign those? Yeah, it absolutely could have been a yeah. Well it uses the touch screen elements. I mean they would they would have had there are things it uses them pretty well, So that's true, touch back, touch front. They price

it here, Yeah, what is it? Nine and then three forty nine for the one with three G I thought it was two ninety nine for three Okay, it's three forty nine for the for the bundle to get a week early, that's what there is. There a contract when's run the three G or is no okay? So they they'll pay for I think it's no, No, you have to it's like contract, but you have to pay it. No, you don't have to sign a purple year. You don't have to pay for two years or something. Okay, you can just like,

hey I need a month of this, Yeah, who provides it? Like a T and C don't you remember the boom moment? Yeah, yeah, I do remember that Krone Yeah wow, okay, m I played a PSP mini those two, but not even the same one you've played. How is that possible? I played a game called Where's My Heart? It's like a two D platform er. Uh, from the same studio that's working on Johan Sebastian Jousts. Okay, this German collective. I didn't realize that it's it's

out there side of this country. Yeah, Danish, I couldn't tell you that. Uh it's yeah, it's because there. Yeah, yes, you're right. Uh, it's a Daneland, a dane Land? Is that? Is that the technical term? M hm? So it's it's like a two D platform where you have three characters you swap through, one which is a

bat king that can see see through walls and find hidden platforms. Is cool, But so the hook to the game is that it's divided into tiles, and the tiles do not necessarily correspond to where the next section should be, So like you'll walk from you have to go from different tiles across the screen,

and your character is kind of warping all around. So they've taken a level gritted up, mixed up the grid, and then you have to try and piece together your path and you're collecting these hearts that some of the hearts are just collectibles, other hearts are filling in like little platforms and the randomized like no, but you do have one. Uh. You'll find special blocks that turn you into like a super creature. And each character has a special

ability. And one of them allows you to like swap the towels so like you can spin them around, U up, down, left, right and kind of spin them and get a new layout. Or the other one is like you can jump up and then rather than just the tiles moving, so you get a different perspective, your character will stay stationary and as the tiles rotate, you'll drop into that new tile. So it's basically just this.

It's the lot. The layouts are super simple. It's just a matter of can you put it together in your head to figure out how you get to the to the other end. It's it's it's short, it's six ninety nine can it's a PSP mini, but you can play a NPS three and it looks great, great, has an awesome soundtrack, and yeah, I just I forgot that those things, because that was such a cool initiative I thought when they were announced, and then just Sony did shit all with that.

They never they never supported it well, and then a lot of the early stuff was garbage cast offs and field Runners was like a flagship game and I Fielder is a great game. Yeah, but I already played it. I

have that on multiple platforms already. I'm good. Yeah, Like I thought it was going to end up being like, oh, this is where like their ninety nine cent games, like here are small, tiny fun experiences that are That was the pitch of it, was like these will be like the right way to handle like indie developers and a cool yeah yeah, and never it's it kind of became like not to how indie games actsbox lid, where it's like, here's this thing and it's not so promising. Actually got this

money going? Yeah over here, you should buy these games on discs. Yes. I was able to get Pac Man Championship Edition for like that on there like that, and occasionally they're free for PlayStation Plus rumber, but Where's My Heart is the free one right now? So if you have PlayStation Plus, okay, you can you can get that. You can't. I don't know if my PlayStation Plus is still going. I had my thirty days and never used it for anything. And then because I because I paid for a

year. But then there was all the you know, doubted stuff, so they they bonused a bunch of time. They thought they ought to renew on that. I removed all my credit card information from PlayStation. Yeah, if they wanted, they can try. They can try, But there's just that's going nowhere. It's still there somewhere, It's still in a database. No. Actually, but then I also I canceled that card that was on there. That's not even yeah, I mean, but no, that was a

separate That was me being an idiot. Yeah, man, Kim trails are real. That was me. Not that was me thinking I had lost my debit card can and then finding my debit card underneath the keyboard. Yep, like it was a city right in front. It was literally like under two pieces of papers in front of me. Call him up, yeah, cancel that card, can turn you totally lost my card? Yeah, blame the interns, not their fault. No, it's their fault. Yeah. Yeah. How to go to the bank, Yeah, all fucked up? How

to go talk to it do at the bank. I had to lean up against my car and watch people walk in and out of the staples while he was in the bank. I hate my bank. My bank doesn't even seem like a bank. It what does. It seemed like like a radio shacker, Like it doesn't have like I don't know what you mean, the actual physical location. Yeah, like walking into the bank, I feel like I'm going into a fucking jomba juice or something. It's it's just that sounds good

friendly. I'd rather go to a jomba juice than a bank. No, because I want the bank to be like serious and substantial, Like this is just it's too fun. No, it's not even fun. It just feels like a choose. It's like a chain restaurant. It just it doesn't feel like like a money buffet, like there wouldn't be a it doesn't feel like there would be a vault in the back. You know, I would go to any reprove glass or anything. We converted the sizzler into a money buffet.

Well, it's a waste of a sizzler. It's blast. Don't you like money? It's just I don't know. I want my bank to feel serious, cold heartless. Well, you should change the money and changed to my bank because it triple sucks in every way that a bank can suck. And then also by being like fifteen years out of date tech mok no website. They want seven dollars if I want to access my account data online? Wow a month. If I want to like a dial up number and yeah,

yeah, yogat my mode, I'm dial in. Yeah, but they've but that bank still has the fucking like drive through teller with vacuum tubes and it doestic tubes. I mean that specific branch does have. That's kind of still worth the seven dollars. Reminiscing about pneumatic tubes the bank because that was that was the bank, not that location, but that was the bank. Like my my parents were too when I was a little kid, so I'm totally used to the drive up drive up teller. Always always begged my parents

to go to the outside lane. Oh yeah, we're gonna put the little capsule in the tube. Yeh oh man, does my house shoot through like it was in there and now it's out here? How is that possible? But was what we were talking about. There's some company that he knows of that still uses a pneumatic delivery system. It's crazy, like inter authors from where still burrito delivery pipeline that we turned, we turned. We need tubes

in this office. Tubes, yeah for all you know exactly. We need a beer tube from the bar to this room, from the bar to the bathroom, just straight into the toilet. Just you're oh God, the tube and you get rid of this beer subhout and I can't. I just I don't. Kind of backhuddling a little bit. I don't know why you would put your credit card in a console when you can just buy like points cards and subscription cards elsewhere. Because because I'm not because because with the frequency that

I buy shit, yeah at random and on impulse. Yeah, that I would rather have that let them have it. Yeah, But then you don't have to worry about stuff getting auto renewed against your will. When the PlayStation networker Xbox Live is compromised, you don't have to worry about your card number being out there. I just don't care that. I just deal with it. I just can't the Xbox Live. I don't care about it. Because

I take five days to get a new car. I do impulse by and like having that in the system, and I do want to auto renew Xbox Live. I'm gonna want that again next year. But when it came to PlayStation Plus, I was like, I don't necessarily want this again, and it's not really clear how to tell it. No, that's that's the big thing. So I'm just gonna remove the card from the system for now.

I don't buy that much stuff on PlayStation Network anyway, So I got I got into Xbox Live late enough that a bunch of people were super incensed about not being able to cancel their their Xbox Live subscription, like like it's the legend is that it's impossible to tell them no. They've added new staff that I'm sure it's gotten better in the last four or five years. Want you want to send them? Blow your mind and the new three DS update?

Lay it out, save your credit card? What Mike? Just right now, I'm gonna go buy House m D episode five and see more about it. Do you see that? Did you watch this trailer? Hot Nintendo download? Yeah? For talk about this. So for DSiWare, it was out last week. For DSi wear, it's like seven bucks, six bucks instead of the transition. I apologize and you're wait, hold on, you're jumping into the fifth episode here. We don't have trailers for the other four.

Episode five. This is where it gets real. It takes place as a circus and the manager of the circus gets strangled by a horse. That's rough. Yeah. I don't see how this is a house case House because House doesn't don't even know who the fuck House is. He he doesn't solve crimes. Yeah, he got strangled by fucking horse like Quincy though, right, Like Quincy is a medical examiner, but he was fucking all over the place. No, House is just it's just a doctor. But he's gonna find

out that it wasn't really a horse strangling O. Yeah. So yeah, Okay. There's a screenshot in the trailer because it's all motion comicy or maybe not even motion, I don't know. It's some kind of fucking shit adventure game. Yes, drawings of people that look vaguely like the characters from House, and then a horse biting a man on the back of his neck, and then that man gets sick and that figure out what happened? See that? There you go? Yeah, so it looks like a great asking it's

Lupus. It's probably yeah, it's probably lupas. Not even easier way to just this game. Yeah, finally all right, great and I'm back on board. We'll see this from work comes out pretty soon. I think this week will they will they not roll that into like we store or anything. Don't want anything's gonna buy with any luck. When the WEU comes out, it'll want unify with the three DS. Information points will be shared. Let's hope it will lay down money fingers crossed. I will bet that they will.

When the WEU comes out, it'll finally be unified. Tide to your anintender dot com account gives me on three DS, they've they've finally gotten to a point where maybe it might actually be feasible. And still something hacks a Nintendo server and it all crumbles. But I bet it doesn't store. I wonder if it stores the credit card on their servers or if it's just stores it all the device. I don't know. They need some of that salting and hash hash it up, salted up. Nothing app with this team stuff

yeah yet, yeah, that you know about. And nothing really app with the PlayStation because that was was financially the most damaging hacks have been the Xbox Live stuff when those aren't even necessarily hacks or world fishing, yeah, fishing or social engineering, yes, or however you want to label it. That's that's been the one where the money has been lost. FIFA, FIFA, Gami Fifa, Patrick els Uh, We're gonna do a quick look of of this is Where's my Heart? They might review of it too. It's it's

it's a good game. It's a it's it's well worth the money. And then I'm almost done with Rae Man. The bosses are not really good in that game. No, yeah, I think there's I think there's a reason that has squirreled away into the second half of them. There's they're they're they're gorgeous looking, just like the rest of that game, but the patterns are just not not very fun. How long is that game? I have probably played seven hours and I have liked two, two or three worlds left.

It's a solid ten to twelve hours. Like there's a lot of the game, a bunch of different worlds. Yeah, world takes you probably our hour plus based on how much stuff you want to grab, like if you can get over, if you get over the compulsion too, pretty flexible because it's like five or six like little metals that you can get for each There are two hidden areas in each level, a speed metal and then there's these metal, these little I have to there's some good music in that at the ends.

Yeah, uh and yeah, and then there's the when you click the little orbs if you collect three fifty that gets you. There are three levels I think of stuff you collect. Yeah, does that actually fluctuate or is that always consistent? It's different based on I want to say that it's not always the same. I think it's the stages where you're it turns into a shooter. Those are a different amount of the right and there's like the weird sprint like the bridge. Yeah, levels, I think it's different there.

Ye also answer your analog stick thing. Uh, there's underwater sequences. So there are sequences where you absolutely would want to have the analytick. So maybe there's a case we made to switch between. But I I've had up pot with the analytick, and you will need that for directional purposes in the underwater. Who should play that game? It's a fun game. Somebody. It's

a short burst game for sure. Somebody raised a good point on Twitter, which is that get out of here Between that game's use of the mouth harp and Elo Milo's kazoo, what do you choose? Well, also that that game, that game and I don't know, the ukulele gets a lot of play Rayman as well, I believe, Yeah, a bit of yeah. Yeah, well there's the level where you fall through a did you redo? So yeah? Okay, well yeah, christ that's a really tough call.

Yeah. The musical whimsy in twenty eleven pretty high, good stuff. The guitar riff the plays every time you finish the stage in Rayman is pretty good. It makes me smile. Is it the call of duty guitar riff? Actually it's the it's the chorus of like little pixie voices when you you know, like the kind of equivalent of the Mario red coins. You know what I'm talking about? Yes, like that thing, Yes, that thing is just I think it's like hatting up from my lady friends. All the all

the applause. Yeah, yeah, super Mario Land applauds you pretty often as well, like actual clapping. Yeah, when you get all the red coins or do any any kind of their little mid level challenge thing. Yeah, yeah, nice going, yeah, but only if you get them all. I'll get them all, okay. So it's like it's like quiet, it's like quiet disappointment if you don't. Yeah, like you could like three claps, people going, Hey, nice going out there, Mario. Everyone's a

winner here. You really got all those coins? Oh wait, you miss like three. We're so proud of you here, Hey, forever, nice work, Mario. Hey, try to reach the top of the flagpole next time. Maybe it's just so high up there though. It's really all I've come to expect from you at this point. At the top of that flagpole. Damn it. Especially there's a little graphic of Miamoto in the corner. We should being judgmental if you do really shitty. Just there's a picture of

a table and he just flips it over. It's probably my faults. It must be probably probably here's the invincible Tanoki suits. I guess, like, I mean, just to get past my my mistake. It's it couldn't be you. Kirby is the one that flips tables, right, I'm pretty sure. Yeah, Kirby, Yeah, Patricky, Nope, I'm through most stuff and I'm waiting with that Skyron patch, so I might play Assassin's Creed. I can't think of any other major game that I have gears yep, yeah,

I think it played everything, played all the games. I'm done. You play video games? Video games are over ticket rest of the year, off, See you guys. Jeff, how about you? Hey? Yeah, I saw my the PSPM and I played is called Revolting Youth. Okay, and it was also a free PlayStation plus download Lton Revoltostrophe. Okay. Have you heard about this Corpse Party game. I'm thinking about checking that out, Yeah, a little bit. Yeah, we might, we should probably

I've been here and probably get hold of this PSP game. You guys, wait, it's a PSP game. Yeah, of course Party is a damn it. Yeah. Can you play it on your PSP? You actually had to play it in yours. It's it's a PSP game. No, but Button Youth is a PSP mini, so that's you can play. But of course, probably, like I need like a U m D. You could probably buy it out of their store. They think it's exceed I think they they're pretty Yeah, a lot of day, so I'll start looking for my

PSP go. Yeah, and I figure, I know is the end of the year, I'll find it and we can we need to find a charger charged charger problem and then do you still have the cable to hook that up to our Wait did they go ever have that? Yeah? We had. We had two separate cables, remember when old cable for the old PSPs and we had them both hooked up to that switcher in Sacelito. Yeah, which was probably the last time we didn't thing with the PSP. Put it into

a box and move it here. Oh yeah, I think it's not that cable. Okay, I think it's like holding up a Lighter's my cable, man, I bought that cable. It's my cable. I got a receipt for that to prove that. Yeah, here's my seat right here. Like like, Revolting Youth is like a really shitty Amiga game basically like it it's like pick this up right now, not ironically, I don't know. Actually, I don't know if it's it's it's like pixel pixelated kind of characters.

They're multiple characters. I didn't unlock any of the different ones. But when you started describing, like, yeah, it's just two D platform where you play three characters, like, wait a minute, that's the game I played only only this one's bad, and you all you can really do is jump and spray paint because graffiti's cool and you there's you find I only play like the first level of it. We should just stop talking about it. Move

on. But there's a spray there's a spray cand with like five or six times it's a spray can with wings, and you spray that, and then a spray paint hang glider appears and carries you to the next platform. And the movement is so stilted and busted and everything and like feels like some kind of crazy student project or something like it. No, it is not that bad, and it's it's it's not game shamelessly ripping off some other, you know, successful product. Yes, but it's just like the movement, every

everything about it. It's like if this, if this is something that they're giving for free to PlayStation Plus members, it's not the sort of thing that's going to drive resubscriptions. I like, all of the just accepted just full blown shitting on game Loft and it's like, oh yeah that's fine, Yeah, just gave up. Fuck those guys, it's it's I mean, it's barely defensible. They don't. They deserve very little respect what they do.

I respect them for coming up with a semi legitimate business practice they had works to them. But those guys, it's like they're they're like a less successful and get shadier Zinga. Yeah, it's like, yeah, how you pull out? But they're I mean they're not even not even making social games like they're not They're not in the same business as Zinga. It's just it's just that it's just as easy to talk mess about them as it is Zinga for

somewhat different exploit in a different way. They're making other people, they're suing someone else's IP, not exploiting the users themselves. It's a pretty big difference. So Revolting Modern Fighting Combat check it out. Shooting the game too from game Loft. There's a straight up feels like modern com. Yeah it is. Yeah, She's like, which is like there was a battlefield modern Yeah,

Like we should just kill all those games. We actually we did a quick look of of the PSN release for for that game that got a war game No No, The The Call of Duty. The multiplayer managed to find just enough players to get a game going, and those sound really well. Yeah, I bet what do they understanding? I understanding is that they sound really well up front, which is why they moved so quickly from game to

game. Is that they exploit the new release of something else somebody else, ride that wave and its off really steeply as people realize yeah maybe, oh yeah, they're totally the asylum. Oh my gosh, that is that is the most apt comparison. Yeah. Yeah, they find whatever is popular, find, come up with a name and a game that's kind of like that, produce it really quickly pushed out there. There's several Grand Theft Auto ones. There's a Vice City one. Oh yeah, there's a Halo. There's

a lot of those are mobile games, aren't they? Or where do they put the most of that stuff out? It's not all because they had a few. They started as like a yeah, started like French, Yeah, they're a French mobile company, and then the iOS is I think become the main and then like you bought them and then spun them out really like they did. Yeah, they did Asphalt for three DS. No, I don't. I don't know if they're still owned by but they were believe they were

spun out as a separate subsidiary or something. They did Prince Persa Persia Classic they did. Oh yeah yeah, way like years ago, kind of this bright point of their that was all right. It's because it was their own company's IP. Right, yeah, yeah, they're they're entitled to that. Yeah, Jeff, you play anything good? Uh yeah, it's I always kind of fighting off a cold, so I played some Saints Row and a bunch of track Mania. I was Saints Row. When you are high on

Nick, Well, it's all right, yeah, it's good. It's good for what ails you. Yeah, it's it got the job done. It's hard to play Land down, but you know, I managed, persevered, took over the entire city from the comfort of my own bed with a real stuffed up everything. I'm sorry and everything everything. And then man, you guys, what's up? Track Mania two? It's really good and the server is back. The server is alive again, back Sunday night, like like

eleven forty five pm. I'm like, what the fuck is going on? Fire track MANI two to find out what the fuck is going on? You know what's going on? Twenty five people on the track Manias server more than the other servers, most of the other services. I think it's because of the conversations on this podcast of people of reminding people, hey, the Giant

Bond track Mania service still around. Now, there's been a push in the community to do Wednesday nights at eight pm Central as as kind of a race nights sort of thing for track Manias, So I know they've been doing that for ye time. Someone's like, why don't we get into a real driving game, and I was like, yeah, why don't we? So the first week of that was not a lot of people, but then the week

after that. It's one of those things like if people fire up that game and then hit the button marked multiplayer, it shows them the most popular service first in most cases. So in a lot of cases, if we're not at the top of that list will be like second or third or something like that. So it's one of the things like just by people seeing it, it just brings in new people all the time. So once you get like ten people on a server, it kind of starts to snowball from there.

Do you also think that the amount of dub step I would like to think that that the amount of duve step on that server and the knife Dancing song, and uh, I added, you know what, I need to go on the track men and Choo server now just to raise to the knife Dancing. Yeah, it's great. It's a great song. That's a great song

to drive. And you know, I've been spending more time on it and and and kind of culling the number of tracks on there down and adding some newer tracks and stuff, which you know, the rotation was getting a little stales, about ninety levels on there, and I'm at a point now where two seconds into a tracks intro, I know what the track is. On some of them, it's like that's Firestar. Yeah, alright, great, great, let's go that's Dust, play some counter strike. Speaking of dust,

just go go Grossery Outlet. Yeah yeah, horse Market great. Yeah, I bought some some cheap beer. Hey is that uh yeah, I mean it's yeah, it's you know, they they are simplifying a lot of the kind of matchmaking and you know there's a fat quick match button in that in that thing that's that seems like, yeah, it looks like a console game with the men used. And they haven't put everything in there because it's still a beta, but the menus very much look like it belongs on an

Xbox or p S three or something like that. My impression of it is very similar to what they're doing with Doda, Yeah, which is like we were there. We regard the core of this game as somewhat static, like like it is what it is, and like it's as popular as it is for a reason. Right, They're just going to improve the periphery to make it work more in an esports, gonna make it more of a modern multiplayer

game. Yeah, and the core of it is is remaining. It's got bots in it, which I so I got online, played online and then like got to this feeling of just like man, I'm just sucking it up for all, like the other people on this team. So I started a bot match and then the boss We're just sucking it up for me. So

it's a beta, you know, So who knows. But the bots are terrible but kind or do they just play like counterswick players, which I don't know they all run in one direction and suck because if so, then you weren't even just getting like yeah, it was like it was the bots on my team were dumb. The bots on the other team were were decent shots but they would take a little while to open up on you, to give you kind of time to be a human and and outthink them, so you

end up kind of doing it all yourself. Or but in cases where you do get gunned down, like they actually let you jump into the body of any of the bots on your team, so you're just like, I just want to I just want to play, So screw you, guys. I'm

now this spot, so screw it. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, And at the end of every round, they pop up statistics almost in a Golden eye sense where they're giving out uh like post match stats, but instead of just giving you titles, it's just like, you know, this person killed this many people, or this person has spent this much money in the game, or you know, like just little factoids. How long does that have been going for? Like not even that just opened up. They got delayed,

right, We're supposed to be end of October. And for me, the big question is, and it's not even a question that I can answer, because I would don't know no better. I just wonder if they can unify the counterstrike base with one behind one game. Finally, is it still weirdly fragments? Yeah? They're still like source people and one point six people, and then you get you know, the offshoots people that don't even want

to play one point six. The answer is, yeah, there's no way like those people are some of those people are playing like an eleven and twelve year old game. At this point, they rebuild this stuff and build all that all the virtual athleticism around it, they'll find it and then not want to be any they will. But then what if they start stacking up huge tournaments, like think about that Dota two tournament, Like how much money they

threw at that thing they start throwing? How many people have a realistic shot at any money? Very few? And but if they at a lot of people that are playing the old versions are doing it for very very trivial well little medical distinctions, like the way that like how much damage the knife does. It's it's why I prefer because like that when you've double tap turbo with the line in two thousand, it opens up the audibles indicator and that sucks.

It's stuff that only crazy people exactly, Yeah, I mean, ultimately it's it's also those audiences have to be minusculed to the audience, like to the size of the audience that Valve is hoping to draw with a new counter Strike. I guess so. But I feel like, you know, for for the to have like a good early start, like they kind of need

to get players of the other stuff to move over. And I would expect them to do big tournaments around the latch of this game and whatever to try and to try and replace one or both of those games out there that that that seems like the move to me, that seems like how you make that work. But it seems, you know, pretty well made, uh as you might expect. But I'm curious to see. I mean, download the Shooters have not done historically very well. Yeah, I wonder how it'll do

all. This is the first one that has a legitimate shot at ye pulling something off. But historically those have been kind of like flavors of the week, is like, let's check this out, how is it and then just just sep black light whatever it down. This was not good for a day. I wonder how they distributed on the PC. I wonder if they charge

for it. Obviously they will on the consoles, right, I just I don't I don't see how you could work the free to play stuff into the mechanics they've built, unless it's all cosmetic, unless they're going like pure esport, unless they just want it in the hands of everybody. They can get it in right, and they want everybody playing it at it. I don't

know yourself. I just that, yeah, but I think that that would ruin a lot of the stuff about it, Like you kind of need your pistol around, you kind of need your like, yeah, they could do that. I think that that would probably break the game. Like I said, they're the recent stuff they're doing. They're all about leaving that, like the core stuff, like it is, right, what that seems grow on your phone, Larry, guys the menu music. I want the actual in

game cell phone ring tone. It is the same. That's just totally different. I think. I don't know. I heard that a lot. It's waiting for your homie to be like, don't pick it up because it's just a game. Wave things at the steroids, shipp down this pleasure this guy that's not mine, that's my guy. How much time did you plan to spend with the counter Strike, Let's say forty five minutes. I'm not a not a long time enough to know that it's counter Strike. Yeah, I'm

it's charter. As someone who is exactly exactly like I can't really pass judgment on it other than to say like, hey, if you if you're out there and you don't like Counterstrike, this is not going to probably change things for you, depending on what it is about counter But if you do like kundter Strike, then ship man, I don't know. Maybe it's great, Maybe it's the worst thing ever, could be totally blasphemous. Who could say I learned that in one round it packs? It was like, yeah,

yeah, yeah, all right, I don't play counter Strike. Yeah, I didn't play the packs. That's that's why we played it on an Xbox there, and I would not want to play that game. It still was like this fundamental core gameplay of count Strike was just never really my thing. So it's like this even on a controller, I can tell. But then console, if you you know, because the console's almost kind of a newer playing field, you're not gonna get all those people that haven't playing Counterstrike all

this time, so they're not gonna be as good. You're standing somewhat better chance, but you're getting put in games with those people. It's all a cross platform. Uh, they'll have to filter that or do something right. In the interview from packs, it's all they're mixing it up. They don't give a shit. Scoreboard will not even indicate what platform. That's ridiculous. And their argument for it was that, well on three sixty even yes they've

managed to Yes. Wow, that was their line of packs. Man, I hon't I missed that, and they were just saying that, well, the you know, then the stuff won't matter because the good players just rise to the top and it's not filtering is hidden skill ranking? Yeah, like naturally supposedly the guys well, you know, interesting there. I mean they're their philosophy is a hey, if you're good enough to hang with people using mice and if you're reason a controller, then more power to you. It

makes sense. Huh that's risky, Jeff, anything else? I like track Mania? Okay, go on, we'll talk about that later. Hey, bred track mania, you haven't played any track you need have installed? You guys shouldn't really care. We is this gonna be your every day? It's been What are you talking about? You guys really push it though Saints Row was pushed. What's because you really had to play Saints Row. Yeah,

track Mania. I can't recognize it's for crazy well, it's people. It was when we it was when it was when Jeff and I tried to explain what was great about Saint Row and you realize you can't really explain what's great about Saints Row. You just kind of have to go play Saints Row and it becomes apparent quickly. Track Menia I don't think has that layer. I think it's like, yeah, that's it's track Mania. It's you drive man, you drive fast. There's no collision, crazy songs something. Yeah,

the tracks are weird. It's almost more of a puzzle game in some ways than a racing game. Yeah, trial and error. There's a weird esports scene for that thing. I don't that seems like a perfect You know, they're out there, there, clans out there, and I think they only play in other countries than this one europe europell tournament. Eyes around anything, Yeah, people out of dream Mack, Yeah, oh dream Mac. So Brad, you played a little Call of Duty four? Oh god, Oh

would you have to remind me because I couldn't forget? Yeah, how'd that go? Do you play anymore? You were there you know, handle that handle that angers. Seems like you were poised to get another shot. I thought about looking up a video over the weekend, because, as you mentioned, you could you could watch a video and probably get through that. Yeah maybe maybe, I don't know. It could have won five hundred dollars, but yeah, there were five hundred bucks cash on the line. Where was

the five? He came in and laid it down. I came in and said, you get it on this run. It has to be that run. And then it reduced by one hundred dollars over the next five runs, and then like three of those five bathroom guy I missed it was it was cool it called this is a Breaking Brad. Yeah. It was just the plane plane level and veteran veteran which went on for four hours. Yeah, dude, I don't know where it was. Basically could have played Modern Warfare

the video we Can't Get Up? Yeah, okay, yeah all right, yeah, should have splitted four hours of four hours of a minute long level. Yeah dude, I don't. It's often lasted like seconds. Yeah, well, you know again, to be fair, like a third of those were the on purpose you realized, like tripping right off the line because the guy shot me in the back coming out there or snag on the wall,

and like everybody had their own method. Like a bunch of people were like, oh, you should knife that guy coming out and then like do this. I got back to my desk and I was looking at my Twitter feed and it was just full of people like it's tell Brad to do this, it's they had almost they had almost talked to Daniel and to going in there

with tips, and I had just shut it down. Yeah yeah, I'm like no, no, no, no, no, no, Like what what fun is it to like read all the surefire strategies beforehand and then just r there do it now. That's not But then it was like when we were in like hour three and four, when I was like there wasn't even

things to talk about it. So then it was like, let me start dripping in some of those hints, like Brad wanted nothing to do with it was nothing but tenacity because like performance peaked and it was just banging your head against the wall. After that, you should pick out that P ninety. I don't like the P ninety. No, it wasn't that, it was that I fucking ran out of bullets in the P ninety, Like, how how more? How much more plane could I put it? You know,

like you right out of bullets? You were fucking done. Yeah. So I was there when we went through the like, maybe we should try the P ninety. Yet, Hey, the P ninety is pretty good. It's got a Really I'm just saying that with the magazine there was the general one number one tip was effective use of the panut. We try the P ninety, and I'm not saying it didn't work out, saying I saw plenty of videos of people making it without changing weapons once so or not, or not

using any flash bangs, or using only or using all flash bangs. Yeah that was that wasn't the purpose of that? All right? Well, you know, get back to me when you I really thought about doing it. I really thought, like I'm just gonna do it because I can't remember. I can't remember if I ever did it or not, you would probably remember. Yeah, yeah, I have to check my achieve Half the people in the forums we're like, yeah, I gave up on that after two days

or whatever. I remember. Watch like, I mean, widely hailed is one of the hardest achievements in existence, Like a lot of people don't even know that you can comment on achievements on our site, and that achievement has about one hundred comments on it from before this video. Is it just an achievement for finishing that level? Okay? Yeah, I need to check my achievements. I can't remember because because on veteran it's also like sixty seconds.

Yeah yeah, if you could crawl forward through that, Yeah, if you had the three minutes that you get on casual or whatever, the lowest one. Uh. I know my little brother did it, and he when he did it, so I don't think I actual, but he's not phone veteran. Sorry, never was not really never was. Yeah two note on veteran, no thank you. So that was but that was interesting to watch as as well, just as like like in the room, the theory is and

sort of like okay, like like breaking breaking it down like scuzz. Yeah, you're like, okay, what's the best way, Like if you go to the right, then that guy tags you, so all right, let's try going here, like now you got to use your flash bang there. Yeah it was fine. Yeah. I wish I had gotten back to flashbanks at some point. I just yeah, the use of them was very inconsistent.

Uh yeah, what's this? They you start realizing just like, oh, this reload takes fucking forever or god damn it, it takes so long to just recover from I'm knifing that guy or from throwing that flash bang when your when your time is that limited and a lot of focus, a lot of second guessing yourself. Yeah, I'm sure it is every every little flick of the stick or a shot. So yeah, right, you're done one misstep. You might as well let yourself die. Yeah, Brad, wasn't

like off the line and like sprinting immediately at the start? Just call it a wash? So no more? Good for you for giving a shot. Yeah, yeah, that was good, called shot. I absolutely that was. You went on much longer than I expected you too, and much longer than I I don't know what than any reasonable person should have should have been done after two hours. Don't know why I kept going. Yeah, but video games it's a good way to stress or video production process find the flaws.

Yeah, who knew? Well, the only reason we stopped because we ran out of hard drive space. Yeah wow, yeah, I mean, would you go for it again? Or is it is it too late. Now are there tips? And I mean yeah, like I'd probably watched like a video first and I'll do it, but I wouldn't, we wouldn't film it. It was just it was generally not the best environment for it. You know, people chat behind super hot in their hands are really sweaty or kind of kind of off center from that TV, which is a not a

great TV. People kept coming in and out of the room. Yeah, we needed to shut down the traffic on the room at some point. Like if you were in your house by yourself, in the place you normally play games and you look for a wire, let's control because I feel like that why Yeah, even though the controller was like the cord was like taught from the Xbox where I was sitting, like, it was just not it was awkward because something like that next time. Not that I would have gotten it

under ideal circumstances. But yeah, you know, yeah, let's let's not blame those things. But you say that those things, you know, I'm just saying that. You know, if you, if you, if you, if you did it where you would normally do it, Yeah, you would at least have nude. Yeah, exactly, we definitely have to lock the doors. So would you play for funzies the man you were abusing? Yeah, I planned to play a bunch of games this weekend, and I

really didn't play a whole lot of anything. Played a little bit of ray Man. That was very relaxing. Yeah that looks so good. Yeah, yeah, that so nice. That's amazing. Played with a bunch of toys, like a bunch of all those gadgets like like the no not actual like children's toys, but just crap that tested covers. May all the stuff that I bought from Black Friday show up last week. So okay. So yeah, so last week we talked about your PS three transfer were we were inquiring

about did you buy any PS three? Yeah? There was a Black Friday special, so I just took the plunge cyber Monday. It was actual Black Friday, okay, and like behind the dumpster Tuesday? Ye, did you mace anybody? We running in there? Pepper spray all that call of duty training and left and the ram duck reloads. All right, when you hear the bean, that's when you start spreading out. You got to shoot the guy on the on the right. I mean as soon as the tangoes were

down in sector one alpha. I was able to just go for it. How did you get another target? I focused one up already? Oh man, how many times? How many times? Hundreds? In fact, I have some we'll get into some emails water for the stats to roll in. We have, we have some statisticians. Some statisticians have provided a little information. So I want to hear more about your toys. I didn't know.

Yeah, okay, So so the PS three thing we were asking about, like transfer processes, because it had been for ever since Jeff, you had even done it. Yeah, when the Slims came out, I bought one and did it, and it sucked, sound like it was terrible. I I apologize I did so many a disservice by even bringing that up, because five minutes on Google before that podcast, and I wouldn't be even asked. It was because it's gotten way way better since since Jeff did it. In

fact, it's way better than what the Xbox has now. You can actually it's built into the newer firmware. So you just you connect two p S three's directly with an eithernet cable, right, that's crazy, and just hit a button basically and it goes. Sure, it's pretty fast that it took like I had about fifty five gigs stuff fifty fifty five or so I thought,

probably about ninety minutes. Yeah, the ETA thing was not really accurate, but it was about they get everything everything great user accounts, every piece of anything that I've ever done, and every saved file. It literally yeah, yeah, that's great. I spent so much time even looking for hard drive and then and then plugging in and wondering why it didn't work, and

then realizing I need to format it defend thirty currently. Apparently they patched all that stuff in not too long after you did that, and so great. How much more quiet is your whim? It's even quieter than the Xbox Slim like or Xbox As. It's like significantly the uh, this is pretty esoteric, but they you know, they've rolled out a new model of the PF three Slim. It was it was a new story a couple of months ago. They like took some Melo d's out of it and stuff, real basic

stuff. So it's like the newest news. But man like whisper quiet totally worth it? Does they have the that's got it like an outside they bricked the power supply right, No, that's still all internal all. I like it. Yeah, it was worth giving up the card reader and the two extra USB ports and the PS two compatibility for this thing that I can't even say the USB ports I would probably I would kind of. I like having all those USB ports. Yeah for what for charging all of my stuff that

I don't use. That's just charging just like your USB home. Yeah. Yeah, Like, Honestly since the S, since the Xbox S added all those USB ports, I don't need them quite as much because it's I can get those done there. But and also since like cloud stuff, it's not as as necessary. But it's nice to being able to, like, I know there's a port down here somewhere. It's jabb around for a bit, Yeah, got it. I do wish they put one in the back for the camera. I always like to put one in the back. Yeah,

yeah, routing the camera around the back of stuff. That Yeah, that's pretty ugly, crappy, but yeah. Games and then and then a huge if you happen to play rock band on a PS three that not having all those just be ports sort of stuff. Hopefully you're doing wireless. Well, there's all Bluetooth now and the rock band stuff. It is wireless, yeah, but there's still like the mic and the oh, the the sing Star

thing is an acknowledged problem. There's like there's like a Sony knowledge based article that I'm sure it's usually have to like contact them and say move it over. But there's a list of there's like five games, like one of which was like a Dynasty Warriors rereleased from the PS two. Of course there's like this weird little esoteric list of stuff that won't move over. Weird. Yeah, that's it's a it's a great transfer utility. I'm pretty impressed with.

What other fun new tech did you get installed? Configured an SSD yesterday in my PC? Big was and that's pretty great on those intels. Ye hundred and sixty gets trim on that out of the Black Friday. Yeah, that was a new Egg all right? Was it like matt expensive? Because now our drives are a billion dollars I've heard that's happening. Actually, I was reading that yesterday, like I think I got in maybe right before that,

because after the rebate, this thing is like hundred and seventy nice. But yeah, now our drives some of the nicer SSD prices apparently have been going up because you know, shortage. There's yeah, there's no no, no, no, Like I think those are fun. It's just that there's no low priced alternative. You know, they can kind of get away with it because they can just price couch out yep, yep. So there is no cheap storage at the moment. I don't get some tapes, terrible data.

It's awful. Jazz drive. I still like movie. I did not throughout my ZIP discs. You know what hundreds I might need these zip drives. I had DVD bug out bag, got this USB's that parallel port. I fucking I threw those out because I was like, I don't even know somebody who has a DVD RAM. That was like the car trade. God damn yeah, I never I never knew anyone ahead those things. The CD TV is an Amiga that they kind of consolized software on it. Those had a

caddy that you had to put them like that. Yeah, man, caddies caddy caddy disc. Oh. I just I have to say that playing games off an SSD is pretty it's awesome, man, man, Like, I don't think it's gonna happen in the next like ten years. But your whole thing about putting SSDs in the next consoles, like, man, that would

be great. Holy crap. Well if your games are if they were in the cloud, you know, if they were like digital download games, I wouldn't mind just you know, play game, delete it, keep my saves, and then just you know, redownloaded if I made it. Maybe, I mean it's more about component costs, like those things are just too expensive to put in the market machines. But like a Playing Saints Row off that

thing like when what it loads? When you see the little Saints row icon and the lower left, like the thing like blinks on and then I'm in the game and it takes no time. So did you have to kind of rearrange your storage stuff anything? It's weird on your c it's it's weird. I mean I have I already had Steam on a d drive, like just a terabyte drive. And Steam will make a decent transition to a new Windows install. There's even like Voul tells you how to do it. It's not

great because you used to do a fresh install on this. Yeah you have to actually, well you might not have to, but you have to go from id to HCI okay, which is techy stuff. But so you can delete everything in your Steam directory except for the Steam Apps folder, which is where all the games live, and then everything but that in the executable, and then run the executable and it'll basically rebuild the Steam install on the new Windows. It worked pretty well. A couple of games had some issues kind

of updating cells or whatever. You kind of had to pair that C drive down to just like Steam and Windows. So that's the weird thing. Actually, my Steam client is still on that D drive, which different issue. But I found this thing called Steam Tool, which it's just one word, Steam Tool, which will you can actually dynamically move it's like some games in your Steam library to a different drive, and it uses this weird like NTFS

file junctioning system. It's it's like I think it's like sort of Unix like symbolic Links' is basically the same thing. So the Steam thinks it's still in the original location, so it knows how to update it, it knows how to cloud save all the stuff, but it's actually on a different drive.

So I've got this one hundred and sixty gig guessd I'm basically moving like you know, you probably fit like eight or ten of the games you're playing at at any given time on the SSD so and it takes like, since that thing is so fast, it takes just like you know, thirty seconds to move a game over. What uh yeah second super fast. It's super fast. Geez. Like I moved Saint Saints Rows like nine gig. It moved

over in like less than a minute. What. I don't know how it did it, but we still got to get the red speed off of your own I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I mean, it's it's the bottom, it's the bottomneck on my machine. It's according to Windows, is just my my disc speed keeping totally Windows Perform will be awesome. It wasn't. Godamn hard drive. Yeah mine mine went up like two and a half points awesome WPN. I don't care. I just like, like I want that number to go on. I think it's w P

I because it's performance. But you look at it and you're looking at like the component list, the most useful number. It even breaks it down, it tells you what and I'm like hard cool, hard drive, Like no, I deleted my cloud accounts so cannot time my Windows performance not there to it. But it was like, it's funny we did that skyroing quick look and we mentioned that like the tool tips like loading screen tips, like have

some cool story stuff in there. I was just all these people wrote in after the quick look going like, oh should I run the game off my SSD? Like I never have time to read that. I was just gonna mention that, like things, I totally missed those even even they fly, yeah even on mine it which is I'm not having SSD for my boot drive but not for the games. But they still load way too fast, even even even off hard drives. It's way better than like because funny, it's

time to read that stuff. Suckers. I mean you know they just they use like STYPM like laptop drives and consoles. Right, those things are not great, but uh yeah, if you can, if can get one for decent price, I can't can't recommend it enough. It's pretty sweet. It's these future car drives, apparently future's hot commodity. Stilln't know what the hell we're gonna Yeah, did you see the head guy, like the CEO of I think it was Seagate saying it's like expect it's gonna be like an eighteen

month period before hard drives get back to morning. I have seen thanks for people who have sent me stop. There are hard drives out, Like there was like a three terror by Seagate that was on the best Buy for a while. Apparently there are hard drives, but at certain point you're fighting like Amazon for those fucking things. They're like, no, we need these too, and also we sell them to you, so in this case, we're

just not going to sell them to you. It's like, I feel like the whole culture we have now is built around free hard drive space, like cloud storage. It's like super cheap and everybody and now it's like no, not anymore. No. Now it turns out that's the part that we that's hard to make. We're fucked. So the cloud service you were using, I'll cost you forty bucks. She's like, no, that's not that, that's not right band with not storage. That's oh, that's how that works

with hard drives. That's really put that all together. She was really silly. I figured there was like like a high tech solution. You guys, you have a room full of computers, hundreds of hard drives. When you said it was the cloud that sounded very fancy and futuristic. You didn't tell me, I said, you had blades and racks and these are computers. These are just computers, fancy word for computer PC. Shit, it's got

a CPU and RAM and everything in it. Yeah, it's just it's an ugly PC because I wouldn't want my house ye as much as I feel like we're kind of hurting a bit because we're like recycling at this point, Like we don't need all these drives? Do we backing up? What's that? So like it's prioritize. Uh, those guys must be like, are we offloading our stuff into the cloud. Yeah, that was the idea, pretty much putting into the Yeah, like we're clearing on our hard drives by filling

up theirs and whatever Amazon had drives, we'll put it on yours. We're gonna this stuff. You guys, zip it if you have to. I don't know what. Arge it up. Do what you do? Put it in a zoo archives your seven zips. Stop password protect it because we might need it and you don't know how to get to that. Yeah, make a car ball out of it. Whatever. I don't know what you do into the cloud. Yeah, h A, come on, make sure suffering it's hard drives. Fucking hard drives. Who knew we need who knew that

it was one place in the world. Fucking platters But like you know, IMAX and stuff like that, the ones that are building order. If you start choosing some hard drive options, they become like, we'll have this for you in seven weeks instead of twenty four hours, and stuff like that. It's I mean, I mean not to mention just like the human cost of what happened over there, which is obviously terrible, but man, what a weird technology center like breakdown. And when you realize that, like, oh

that's where all of them come from, all of them were they? Yeah? What a rage? Yeah, it's strange. Should probably spread that out of it. I think I did read everything. I didn't read this something that's like, yeah, we're gonna do that, we won't have this happen again. Weird? What else did you buy? I love new gadgets and toys. Got a new router within WHOA, no, is it Tomato compatible? Yes? Okay, Tomato USB. Oh, matter of fact, what's

I have to update my Tomato client? Tomato would open source man, this is a nerdy pot the wrong podcast. So now is wait now I set my router to end only and then nothing sees it anymore. Really, at least my Xbox wouldn't. I said, to five gig hurts, I don't know if that's fine. Oh wow, that thing goes five. Uh you know what, five giggers has a much shorter range than two point five two point four. Yeah, this Xbox is real close to this router. I

would definitely say it. Don't use five giga hurts. All right, that's what I was told. Okay, that's got an open source where they're like like weird, eight different forks of tomatoes. That's that's the Now you're like, I have no fucking idea which one's any good? Yeah, and they're even like there are multiple people running like nightly builds of their of their own now it's everywhere. I love me and SVN. Yeah, just yep, whatever, you really just I really liked I loved it when it was the

one guy making the one version of tomato and it worked beautifully. Unplug My rider was to move it. Yeah, dude, it runs for months and months. It's amazing. I still got that old lynxes. Yeah, that's what I had. But it was making a high pitch squealing sound and like dropping a lot of connections, So that's probably fine. Probably shouldn't like there's not there's like nothing in there to yeah, make noise except for electricity shocking

something or breaking something. That's a sound of arcing. Yes, beside of the thing was ready to go or Actually I spent a good amount of time this morning looking at pictures of blown capacitors on various electronics. That sounds erotic, pretty awesome, pretty a capacitors. Yeah, the ways that a capacitor can blow, uh huh, you wouldn't believe it. Dramatic, tell me about it. Just a mess everywhere, Oh yeah, yeah yeah, yeah,

sorts marks, bulging capacitors, Oh yeah yeah. There's there's this electrolyte residue that just gets when it dries, you just can't get it off anything. Sometimes the cap will just pop, just clean off of it, and before it's time, we just see the insides just splayed out there. You go, trouble, What are we talking about? Just closes eyes, do it very quiet place tomatoes. Someone has someone had suggested that that capacitors were the issue in my my TV bobs. Yeah, but wait in your TV.

Wait also the receiver people, all right, well, receiver we never fixed, but it still works well enough for my purposes. I went and bought like a dollar like, uh, optical audio cable. So now I have it's all digital, so it's good enough for my purposes. But I had no I had my my sixty one inch DLP that was just turning off randomly, and I had started to think that it was one of the lamps, or was that it was the lamp that I had bought, the replacement

lamp that I had bought. So here's what I did. I put the old lamp in to see if that was would have any impact, and it totally did. Old lamp did not ever power off my TV the way new lamp did. So I was looking at I was comparing the two lamps, and I was like, this pulling on, Like, what could possibly other than age? What could be different? What's what could be causing this that's other than just heat or whatever? Be the power draw? Maybe one smells

different. I realized that the new one had a little screw on it that I was using to like keep the lamp in place. That the old one did not have. So I just took that screw off and now it's fine. Oh do you think you're shorten something something? I don't know. I'm not sure exactly. I'm not don't question an electrical engineer. I'm like, I changed one thing and then I put it back in and it has not like blinked out on me since then. So we should take more screws out

of your receiver. And yeah, probably it's not on screw of the TV. And see we get free cables. Jammy hand in the back. I already get free cable. He had a free cable. You had to bend the cable. That's what I used to do, like on a cancel my cable. Like I still get basic like channels through the cable, even though I said stop giving the cable and do they have to? And then then they stopped it. Over the air stuff, No, no, I don't know. I mean you can't get over the air where I live because we're

in a little valley. There's not really any there. There's no air. Yeah, also no air welcome. Its some one thing you can have give up when you get the suburbs. You think it'd be you know, fresh open air and nope. I walk around the oxygen tank. You either get Yeah, it's either you get Applebe's or you get air, and we chose Applebe's. I think I'm a cable guy. W came in to do this Comcast answers the door. My wife answered, it's like cann figure out the

box. Huh, No, fucker, there's a filter on the goddamn line because there's the people up before. I only had internet then no TV. God's condescending. You tell him to go away, No, I tell him to take the filter off. He found the film? Is that up on the line or is that in the house. It's at the junction that comes in. Might be a contract guy. It usually is most most of those, most of those field operatives are not. Actually, I don't know. I thought it was rude. It was nice enough at the end. I

played some Gears War three kind of it's it's okay. I kind of don't know why. Dam isn't that game? Don't worry? May three fair enough? Wait? How far in are you? I don't fighting stuff? I don't know. I chainsaw some things. I saw the Queen's I got past the flying parts or the flying parts on the b the blimp pay Yeah, yeah, yeah, well you need four guys at a time because it's four player of co op during the campaign. There's only so many gears out there.

Yeah no, I just mean like like there's I don't know that tonally it's a weird game, but then I don't know, WELLO dramatic. Well, it's just it's you know, it's fight, fight, fight, and then Dom's gonna go and be you know, wistful somewhere. It's kind of theme of the whole game. Like all the characters are are like that in their own unique way, you know. Even Cole is you know, finding

the old thing of himself and looking back on it. And I really like, I really liked the cold stuff, Like I thought that that part was like Cole is actually a character. Yeah it's and it's a little cheesy, but in a way that's perfectly appropriate a whole that whole football sequence, it's just Jesus Christ as as Oh my gosh, yeah so this is but it was but it was you know, it was yeah, it was corny, but it was but it was humanizing for that character totally. It was the

red kind of corny, which that the series doesn't always get right. Yeah, and they kind of built it up and they stepped up and then it was actually humanizing for him. Was a little collectible you find of the newspaper clipping of when he joined the military, like right after his entire family was killed by the first Emergence. It's like, oh wow, there's like an actual motivation for him to be killing everything. But the people. Yeah,

those guys are kind of down on it in that game. Stuff stuff has gone about its basic. Yeah, exactly what everyone. Yeah, uh, it's it's yeah, i'd say see it through. I will. I'm gonna keep own. I'm at the point. It's it's not you know, I don't know. It's not overly taxing. It's just kind of it's you know, you roll from combat scenario to combat scenario. It's more fun with people. Yeah, I guess I missed the train on that. Cool. Everyone already played it. I wanted to play a co op I never have.

You can play it, we could, we can go because you can choose your own difficult. I only want to play it on oh per player. Really, they brought that in the last one so that you could play with your girlfriend and that she could play on casual and the only the only bumber about it is if you play on hardcore and everybody else is on casual, if you die, you don't get you can't get resurrected, so you bring

everybody else down. Mission over really yep, pretty sure. I played it over red before Thanksgiving with my family, and I made the mistake of putting it on hardcore. Wait, and every time I would die. But when you play on hardcore by yourself, the AI can revive you. M yeah, totally can do. I play level higher than high. It was insane. Sorry, yeah, then it was insane. Okay, Yeah, that was a mistaken It was insane. It was a bad time. Nobody was

having fun. Wait, I thought everybody had to die for you to b came over. I don't think I'm not insane. So it's two insane when one person dies and it's back to the checkpoint it was? It was? It was is it? But is it like the if you die or if you're just downed, there's no down? Okay, but I could have sworn that it was you'd like come back at the next checkpoint. No, it

would end it for everybody. I had to literally restart the thing. And I've been wanting to do a four player insane run, but that makes me want to do it a little rough. And I mean, unless you're very good. I wasn't so because I could ye insane. It was insane. I do. Like how at a certain point it's just like, hey, hammer down, just pick this up, like here's waste these waste these giant

enemies real easily, Yeah, get these dudes. Yeah. But then it was like, if I remember correctly, it was like hammer Don and you got it. You're like, wastee, I know what this says, hammer Don sadly thing. And then like next scene was like hammer crazy. It shoots all easy places. No, it doesn't. Just uh yeah, I'm past I'm past. Yeah that's a was it anvil Gate? Yeah yeah, I'm past the anvil Gate, but not too far past it. That's the Breserker. Yeah yeah, landed. I mean it's not very long, so

uh yeah, you're like halfway through. Uh it's it's what it's the Game of Crime has been popping in and going through and I don't know what my nails. Did you get a bunch of potential roommates? How did that work out? That's some decent Can they get you free cable? No, take the filter off, I figure out the box. Huh no, no one, yeah, no one. I thought it was gonna be. The thing is like I'm you know, looking for roommates and doing having people come in

do interviews. I don't have like regular like I don't really have cable TV. I just got you know, whatever basic channels come over the wire. Uh. No one gives a shit. Oh really, no one cares. It's not a thing anymore. Yeah. Like, and you know, everyone I'm talking to is the Internet, Like twenty four to twenty eight, let's say, has been the age ring right, it's the Internet. It's like it's like kind of I'm like, yeah, I've got your WiFi. Oh great, that's all I need. Like, all all my internet, all

my entertainment comes through that hose right there. So it doesn't even matter. I was totally I'm like, Okay, I don't pay for cable TV, and I don't really want to, but I'd be willing to if I split it between multiple people blah blah blah. But it hasn't even come on like no, no cable fine, whatever, So I should cancel mine? Yeah, make that guy come back, put the filter back on. Now you get different. Couldn't figure out the books, What does the filter do?

It stops so like you know, it all comes to the Internet and the TV all comes to it stops, the TV stops it coming through. Yeah, it's about time someone stop that TV. If I know, whe the feathers should just come out there and take them off myself. I'm sure that's highly illegal. All right, dudes, so you should say that. Let's talk about let's talk about news. Let's talk about hanging out in chat rooms. And apparently Patrick, uh yeah, this is going on in these sexy

pachet room. Not a news story, but there was a rock paper shotgun. All credit to them. Has been following this closely, but so apparently, uh they're EA calls it a glitch. But starting about eight months ago, well around Jaggon Dragon eight two came out. If you had a Origin account and which stilso tied to your message board account, like they you know, started fusing all those together. It was your EA account, I guess how it started. Then they're merging that with Origin. That's sort of still

happening. If you got banned from the forums, you would get locked out of all of your games, and they EA claimed that, well, that was just a glitch and it'll get fixed in a week. That was eight months ago, and there's been a new rash of people where if you get banned from the forums, they've they're very strict about like swearing. So even though like Battlefield three is animated game, like if you go into their forum, then if you swear, you can get banned for it's either seventy two

hours or like permanent, like those are their two like variables. Their definition of swearing is questions. They have an automatic content filed. But there was a guy who got banned for using the word epeen, which should mean like she could argue for other reasons, but but come on, and there was there's another guy who, as far as he could tell, was he was quoting someone else who was swearing, and like the auto content filter caught him.

It went through the chain, and now he's band and can't access like he can't even access Bad Company Too, which he bought on Steam, but because it's tied to his EA account and his E account on the forums got

banned. That prevents him from playing Bad Company Too multiplayer. That's a bad business because it's all EA's idea of layering all the services means that when you get caught in the system, like essentially what it sounds like, there's this weird glitch that you get flagged on the forum and then that spreads to y'all your the rest of your EA account, and they've been super silent about it. So I've been hanging around in customer service rooms asking about their policies.

Has been well. So when I the lady I talked to it can't remember, I can't remember her name is, but I was telling her to the story about my brother, my brother, My brother got banned from the forums. I just I want to figure out how how does he not get band from the forums and can he access this game? She's like, what is his emails? Like, well, he's at work. Oh you want to put she want to get in contact with your brother? Yes, you want to look up this. I'm be like, oh, I don't know if

this is an untrue story. Brother's in a band and so but yeah, so so I was She's like trying to just like go this this customer service person to trying to explain their policies and what can you get banned, Like, can you get banned from from playing games? She's like, yeah, that's possible. That's that's not a very clear That's not what he has been saying. Like he has been saying that it's a glitch, and she's making it sound like that there was actual policy. I think she's just really could

be could be, could be unknown. So I'll be going back get another customer service rup see see if she was just speculating and see if there's a an actual policy. But let me talking to EA or at least trying to try to get a statement from them. But well he was always just retched her in new Origin account. Yeah, by battlefield on it and then get a banned yeah, m yeah, easiest way I can think of to do this for science. Yeah yeah yeah. So I it's it's it's this weird,

shitty byproduct. There was also like a rock paper show gun was raising the legality of it. But I liked the ease firms of service, and they are on every right to if you violate one part of their service. They can you can you can make the argument this is horrible customer service, but they are in their right to if you violate one part of their policy. They are you have agreed to a terms of service that allows them to

enact everything regarding EA services, which is how what it falls under. Its crazy thing where you you agreed to like different things at different times and the way it's being rolled up now, yeah, well the terms of service I'm paraphrasing, but it's basically like, yeah, like there is a conduct policy

that relates to their forums, which they consider an EA service. An origin is part of the EA service and so if you they can remove the other EA services for you violating other EA services, so you can you can theoretically they can make the argument, we are legally within our right to pret you

from playing a game because you violate I think that. I don't think they would ever come out and say that because it would be a nightmare for them, right, and that's why they've always said, well, it's a glitch, all right, because you said there's stuff that's even like purchased through Steam, but since an access to some online EA stuff, yeah, like all

the online games, just like they do on console. Like theoretically you could get banned from playing online on a console game because that's all tied to your EA dot com right again, yes, and then you also the problem is that are like well, like you mean like actually getting caught going through because you're right, you do log in on them all that stuff. I'm aware. I think this is mostly on a PC side stuff, Like I can't say for sure it's mostly Origin based. It seems like all tied to EA

stuff. And then when you get flaged in one spot you can kind of get screwed over all together. But like the main problem with like where they started with a Dragon Age was like, that's a single player game, right, there's so you're getting locked out of one thing that's preventing you from and yeah, it's even weirder when like you paid for Battle that company too on Steam, right, and but now you can't try that game because it's tied

into an EM and they're selling games on Origin. And that's where it gets weirder. Game the man. So it's you know, obtensively if you take the you know, the logic further that you could be tied locked out of those games, but it's clear you're doing going on the EA forms anyway. Come on. Yeah, well the real solution album is don't why would you post to EA's official boards. What do you hope to game? It's not a community. A lot of this is a lot of this is battlefield people.

Yeah, so like you're going to battlefields official boards. That seems to be a lot a lot of the attention is well but as far as you as far as the stands now, possibly just the glitch and it's no malice contended. Yes, at least that has been their stance, and that seems more more reasonable than you know, them taking form pretty harsh. Yes, yeah, that seems the part of this that's troubling is that eight months ago they said it'd be fixed, and it's it's not fixed, or at least

it's still causing issues. And they bought, they bought these things, and I understand if their terms of service allow them to do that. And I don't think they're gonna make the argument that they're allowed to do this. Yeah, he has enough problems as it is, Like, just don't like them. Just build in an extra flag onto the boards, which I'm sure is more difficult though it is more difficult than it sounds, but you know,

just different flags. We can ban people from just the wiki, just the forums, or we're both we and the weirder part is is like I was one of the guys that made a big thing about it. This week. He recorded his conversation with like the customer service person, who was super nice and was you know, they are handicapped by whatever they have and the script they have in front of them. And he kept saying, well, how

who can I talk to? It appeal in my band because his band is a lifetime band, which means he can never access these games again unless he gets and the customer service person was like, I don't have anything to help you. Yeah. So when I and then when I talked to the constant service person, I was like, what if I get banned? Like who am I supposed to talk to? And said, well, let me let me get a number. So she gave me this number. I was like,

they're gonna help me with Is that like for forums? She's like, I think So I was like, there, the problem is that there's this clear and then not a policy to react to it in order to mitigate what

is a very easy thing for to flare up. I mean, I could very easily see this being a unforeseen consequence of rolling up all these systems like they didn't and it's different crews of people working on the Origin stuff that you board community team that's just for the for just for the forums, and they have access to these tools where it's like and they have a billion different community

teams for each different game. Sure, so it's and as they're merging these EA accounts with Origin stuff, like I feel like over the past eighteen months, I've had my EA accounts rolled up multiple times of like okay, well it was like the Bow and the board accounts, and then yeah, that my BioWare accounts and now that's going to roll up into this and then like

I've I've had to like pre together so many weird accounts. The annoying thing for me is that Old Republic has different password restrictions than every other EA service. Yeah, they require a capital letter and none none of the other EA stuff did, so I had to change it there and then change it every

every other EA thing that I was logging into. That's pretty stupid, like they just I mean, I understand, hey, you want you want stronger passwords for your MMO because that's I know where accounts get stolen and gold farming and whatever the tell else. But Chlorian fucking come on, I interfe you got banned from the forums when Old Republic's out. If they'd still keep charging you your monthly fee while you couldn't play the game, probably probably, I'm

gonna air on the side. So many different building systems and stuff working together. I bet that boy, that's gonna be a weird one. I don't I don't know how that stuff works. Probably don't know how that stuff like. End of the day, I all sympathy for whoever it is that has to try and figure out how to make all this shit work. Yeah, like a bunch of a bunch of engineers trying to build together together to say,

hey, let's merge all this stuff. And then some guys like, okay, well this system was built nine years ago and it is a total piece of shit, but there's still there's still some people that use it, so we can't just abandon it. So we have to figure out how to make that interface, dating this whole thing to modern tech. We just need to upgrade the back end log in systems. What are the what are the

PIDs? We need new PIDs. I'm sorry, but my sympathy has to go to the people who got dicked out of playing the games that they paid for. That's who cares. What the back end reason. I think all this comes from, you know, building a site where you that is that it was, is that the people who have to have to fix it and implement it are not the people that probably made this every time. No, let's not do that at all. If we're going to do that, that's

like an eighteen month project, and here's how we would do that. We got six weeks go. Yeah, you're probably right about yeh. No, yeah, like executives absolutely not not no no ask given to EA as a organization. I feel for the dude, just like Fu talking about the Death Star workers, You're just yes, contractor I'm just here trying to make this planet present. What what what? I just man, it's filling the bootprint, It's all I'm trying to do. So so story is still developing,

then yeah, I'm still working it out. But that sound shitty. If if that has happened to you, people feel free to reach out. I mean it's a little bit it's almost hesitate to use the word chilling, because that should be reserved for like, you know, serial killer on the loose or something. Yeah, there's like a's kind of like a startling precedent for the future and what it means for you know, we all sit here and cheer lead for all things going digital, but like, these are the contents

of all things going digital. Honestly, Like consumers are putting a lot of trust in these publishers at the same time. I mean, obviously, like some of these bands are fucking dumb, But wouldn't it be nice if there was accountability on the internet, a vested interest in not being a dick. I agree with you, but use that hell, like more wisely than they

are. It gets weird with the money, yeah, absolutely, Like I mean, yeah, just you pay for a service and then well then you start asking yeah, like it guess once you pay for it, it's like you are you're you're putting a lot of trust in the publisher by engaging in this Game's a service model, right, so you know, don't trust customers. Don't sign that you left, I mean that's rights. Take the box back to the store, say nope, thank you. I don't want this.

No, I didn't agree to this. I'm like, okay, well we're gonna give you a store credit. Fuck you. I don't agree to this. I bought this pstree and you change my terms, I can't use this anymore. That's why Steam has worked is that Valve earned that trust when Sea first started, everyone's like you val There's certainly cases though where vact bands have have You're right, but depending beyond games that it maybe should apply pretty isolated though. With Steam that was a lot of just like, hey,

they're they're figuring this shit out. They were the first ones kind of out there really investing in this model. Yeah it's shitty, it's it's yeah, it's shitty across the board. I bet there really isn't malice intended, but it's it's more it's just, you know, if you're choosing to engage use them that past, you should have a path for them to appeal. You don't think you don't think these things are going to happen, but you need

to have a path for people that. You don't think there's any boardroom malice taking place. You don't think there's any like cackling. I don't think they care enough about what's going on on their message difference. Yeah, they're they're like, we have we have message boards. Well I thought we fired this and what we do with that. I thought we cut that team back down. Yeah yeah, we'll build a community. Yeah yeah, we'll build it.

Just build on Twitter or something. It is how many Facebook likes we're getting out of these message boards? Zero? Oh great? Cut them like I guarantee, like right, I would say there's probably dudes through there be Like I told you this was gonna happen. I told how many times did I put that ticket in? I told you this is gonna happen. Could you guys fix it by tomorrow? No, build the whole thing. Well,

we needed by tomorrow. We need about Well, give me somebody who can do fuck this place, man, if I tell you this place that happens origin. I want to talk shit about the will work for Facebook. Talk talk some about the UMD passport program. Oh that thing. Yeah, users did not agree with me on that. One name is all blue wet. We won't get that grant anyway. Uh yeah, our notorio Wi.

I got pretty incensed about how Sony's handling at least in Japan. They have not annunced any plans for this program to come over here, and they might not bring it over here. But the und passport is basically they have no standardization in place for how they're handling. If you own a UMD and you're going to get that onto your Vita, and they claim to have a system

where they will each UMD will be detected. They claim that there there's some sort of unique identifying code on each MD that you can use it once it'll get tied to your past cent account and then you cannot use that UMD again, like they'll match it against some code that's then stored in their server. I'm just gonna put this out here. I think they're lying. I think

ye on that on that side of it. Yeah, they mass produced these, they were if they were putting unique identifiers and those things, they would have utilized that. They would have utilized it to stop pirates by now that's what I think. You're right, Like fucking come on, I think you're right. Yeah. So as a result, like they're they again, they claim that, but they have not detailed the process that's put that's in like the announcedent releases, Like we have a process that we are not detailing.

They found some way to like hash and identify or off of the physical imperfections on each disc. Yeah, okay, I don't know each each scratch, it becomes a you have to put a little micro scratch on the disk and use it again. And it's so the ending result is that not even Sony as a standards for how much you're paying for this digital conversion, like like hot Shots Golf costs like, you know, five dollars, but pat Upon

three costs ten, and then this pachinko game costs thirty five dollars. And so it's it's one thing if they were saying, well, look, third parties are gonna do what they want, but we're gonna have our own standardization, it's like, you know, it's five dollars digital conversion that covers the

bandwidth, and we pocket a little change along the way. And instead it's just kind of like this wild West for how much can we gouge customers from people who, by Sony's own emission, must have bought the game originally? You know, if they were going to take the stance which is, look, we have no way attracting these things as it was, piracy is a huge problem. We're gonna give you it's gonna be cheaper. It's gonna be

cheaper, right, give us the benefit of the doubt. We don't know, like, well, this, this program will detect that you have a UMD. We have no way of knowing if it's a unique one. But there's a UMD. So you know what, you get ten percent offer. It's gonna be cheaper than it was to buy the store you or at very at least someone you know this and that we deserve give you. You deserve something. You have a physical object in front of it, like you rented

it or something happened right you have, but we don't know. But they're saying like we do know. They're saying, we do know. We're going to charge you twice if they this will be easily easily dispelled in like a week and a half. Yea, if this exists, thing to see how it works. But I think what they probably should have done, and this is like a way more fucked up process. But if they really wanted to get those um d's out of people's hands, mailmen, Yeah, mailmen,

that's what I always thought they should have done. Or you just mail in the back cover the manual or something like that, you know, with the UPC on it or something. So it's just like, see is a little too easy. It is, But at least produce, they'll be able to know if it's a fucking photocopy, I mean, or you know, like a high quality reproduction. That way is probably expensive enough it's not worth it.

Yeah, and yeah, something that they get off people to say like temporary kiosks where it's like hey, go in, bring them in, you give them to a guy, and like they can generate codes. Yeah, you stick, You're just an automated machine. You stick the UMD in there. It's text what it is. Yeah, well, I mean treading treading in the disk. It works because then you're like commoditizing the physical item. Yeah right, Yeah, like you take it off the streets, you get

one code for it and it's gone. Yeah I think you know that. That totally similar and the price would have to be fixed at that point on a per game basis, but yeah, letting third party set it and just having like oh this you know game that's kind of rare, like whatever, we're a small third party, We're totally gonna charge you. Yeah. When

I like it. When I looked up the price of that game on Amazon and you know, converted the end, it was like you're it's like you're basically buying it new like, I mean, it's you know, fifteen bucks more or whatever to buy it, But it's just for for I don't know's. It seems like the poison here is in the messaging, not in the method necessarily. I think they were presenting this more honestly right of just being like, hey, if you could produce a UMD, we'll give you.

We'll not we'll knock you off a couple. That's the fact that so many can't even standardize their own ship and there's and they can't even fall back. I'm like, well, you know it's licensed stuff because pat Upon is a wholy original game at a cost more. And the only reason it costs more it's because it came out more recently. Yeah, and Grant Rismos like ten also, isn't it. It's basically yeah, it's basically like anything they think they could get ten for, they're gonna try and get ten for. Yeah,

it's funky. I think it's just it's gross for early I mean, I totally understand, like what do you you know a lot that's a lot of people. We're just like, what do they don't need to do anything? I was like, yeah, they don't need to do anything, but that doesn't make it not super. And if you're some bummy ass third party make them patchy slot games, you're gonna be like, fuck yeah, I'm gonna try and charge this much more. Wouldn't the nine people to buy these

games? Yeah? Or I mean, like the whole thing is for being able to play them digitally, right, So like by the time the Vida comes out, I mean you can you download them on your Viday. Okay, that's so that's the whole point. By the time the Vida comes with three weeks here, no, February, February, all right, so even longer than this game is probably go down in price again once new Vida games start coming out, and like Grand Treismo will probably be another ten percent off

anyway. I just I just look at the price. It will be comparable at that point anyway. So it's just it's weird. It's weird that it's not more of it. I just look at this, and I'm like, so, someny, you're not allowed to get upset when everyone pirates it again, like because policies like this or what like the kind of person that's like, well, like I don't really like I don't really want to pay,

but I guess if it's reasonable. But like, this is what put like stuff like this what pushes people to say, supposed to be a convenience. Yeah, like it's supposed to be like a feed. You know that that allows you the convenience of moving the games you bought on UMD over digitally to your Vita, which is plat cost anything. But you understand there's always you know, like attacks to make it digitally instead. This just is like, oh, there's one more way we can fuck those guys. Yeah, maybething's

let me charge. I just feel like Sony is grossly overestimating their position with this thing with moves right, like the number of people that actually care about in any of the umd's which is just kind of yeah, Like I feel like there's still being too Sony and it's not the whole library, right, No, a bunch of publishers aren't signed up, like some publishers have committed to it. This just sounds like the them trying to sell PSP games digitally

all over again, just a slight one step removed from it. It's like, yeah, we couldn't get anybody to sign off for the rent like I bet Kingdom Hearts or whatever. It was the big one that you couldn't Yeah, that won't work. Yeah, or it's gonna be It costs like swearing ex infamously. We'll charge fifteen dollars is above whateveryone else is charging. How long do you think until somebody realize you don't even need to have a UMD in there to buy it digitally. It's the first I cannot wait for the

first thing I want to know it comes out is eating good. I don't give a shit. How are they reading those um d's right, just like not doesn't even We could theoretically m I have my Japanese PSP somewhere because it is we can test. Yeah, we could probably test this. I have luminous Japanese somewhere. It's like it doesn't even the launch games. Yeah, Japanese versions. It's an odd move. The story continues to develop. Yeah, I talk to the chat lady about it. What do you know about

m D? My brother's games dropping out. Brother's got this m D that won't work. It's like he's trying to pull a sarap Palin here. It's like you can't do that. Saw a guy I play Army of Two on an airplane on a PSP, and I was wondering what can I do to get in on that? Do you know why so many people are using PSPs on the year subway system? It's weird, right, So I can get

your phone number, try this. Call this guy. Actually, I think in the terms of service, like don't harass the customer service people was in there, so I can get a band ask him about ask him about the policies of getting banned until you get banned. But what if I do would be the ultimate meta band of just getting banned for asking about getting banned? Is this picture not safe for work? Well? What did you post on the porn forums? I was thinking about posting this picture. It's a whooping

and it's mostly just the pooh pooping on Jeff Gershman's front lawn. Oh fucker, is this acceptable? Also, go to a hospital's immediately. That's going out of you, all right, Swizzlers a rough place. It's not high grade stake. It is not it's not even steak. It's just great. I don't even know what I'm putting in these Oh did you see the great Just pull the metal lid off? Its steams. I get the scooper out of steak. You see the Great National Horse Debate. You can eat horses?

There is? Yes, Well I don't. My understanding is that it was never explicitly illegal. It's just that there was no infrastructure built up for you know, Wait, where's this going? Is there water and horse meat? What's up? Is there now? Oh? They're talking about it. I read. I read one quote that they could be up and running in a month if people are okay with it and running. Yeah, we got all the machinery. Man, we got all these horses. You give me

the word, we'll take them to the glue factory. I would eat horse. I have eaten horse. Is it tough? It was raw? So I'm not real sure it was in Japan. Yeah, totally okay, Yeah, like large portions of the worldly horse. Yea, there's some portions of the world also eat dogs. So I don't think I could do that. I don't know. I wouldn't want to, like from like a morality like I think it'd be I would feel bad knowing that I was eating a dog, but I bet it taste fine, right, But but it's not like

i'd go like man, I could really go for some dog. I think the thing about would I mean maybe a dog. That's the dangerous part is if you try dog and you find out man dogs really really good. I didn't stand where's I've been going about this all wrong? I thought, you know the code for you think men says say dog or is it like you know they say venison when they're talking about know that? Like I wonder if there's some kind of code word for horse meat? Is it like the McDonald's,

like fish sandwich, just like general steaks. They think about eating a horse is like they're they're very useful for other things than eating like a stuck teeth the horse. What are you gonna use the horse for me? Yeah? I need a new leather strap for sharpening my knives. I don't know. The horse. Horse regarded as a very noble animal, very people just psych well not not even useful, like just people consider horses to be beautiful.

Yeah, you know, there's like a psychological people consider sheep to be beautiful, lambs sexy. I don't know anybody's calling sheep beautiful. A lot of sheep playing about your curricular activity looking to the suburbs. Yeah, strap it off sexy sheep horse. Huh yeah, it's just red meat like yeah, I didn't granted I didn't have a cook but it seemed very beef like from what I remember. I just don't know what's the benefit. Is it

cheaper? How bad our economy is? Like fucking these people need to eat? We got these horses. We got these horses. They're not really do anything right now. It's sorry, a little girl, cook them up. I want for dinner. Boil a huff. Uh. So the next resident evil might be in China. Maybe maybe we've got casting information someone who is listed as Chinese villager slashed zombie here out here. China is big these days. I don't know I deliberate or not, but geographically yeah, yeah,

it's good, it's just these days all right. Moving on, So, you know, new region for them for Capcom to be racist or used of being racist in great well that they will add people of other ethnicities. About two months before it comes on, We're not again. It's time for that game to be announced. Yeah. I don't know what I want that game to be. I wanted to be on the next generation console. That would be nice. Yeah, I could wait, well, I can see then

I could see them, especially if consoles are two years away. I could see I think that game be cool if it was a highly competitive racing game like Time Attack Mode, dub Step, no collisions, Wesker Wester's done. I hope, God, I hope he's done. Hey, guys, Wester's back to shut up Resident six westers because as a smarts Seriously, I don't want I want them to do with it if they just go back to that well again. And I actually thinks she's listed as zombie. Yeah, so

I would like them out the phone. So if there are zombies zombies in this Resident well, know when they got away. They got away the zombies. Man, they're not zombies. They're not in four. I have no idea what that game should be, but I definitely know what it shouldn't. I hope it's scary and five was not scary. What why I got like six hours? And what characters do you care about the most? And Resident on none of them? I don't think, Yeah, I really leon.

That's been their hook for the last few has been like, hey, your your favorites from the old Resident evils are back in these newer, better games. But the whole hook of Operation Racoon Citi is like, hey man, it's Leon really and you can kill him. Kill him. One of the missions is you gotta kill him. Don't do that, it's non cannon. I'm well, you know what, it doesn't matter. You can't kill at him. Give it a shot. Good luck, Tenacious. What do you

do with what do you do with resid evil? I mean, I don't know what China. I don't know what it should be thematically or mechanically, Like, I don't know what kind of game it should be, and I don't know where it should be and what you should be fighting. Maybe they reset the timeline, that's yeah, like they need to do something too many corporations, something dramatic with it. Yeah, I still like the idea of playing as part of the Umbrella corporations that's Operation Racoon Cities. Yeah, so

you don't like the idea of this, No. I liked the idea of globe trotting as like an umbrella operative just one year. You just don't wanted to play like yeah, yeah, like going into different fucked up scenarios. I think you're the one that compared that to like like an X Files kind of thing or something. You're just some sort of like, yeah, special agents take me on different different cases or something. Yeah, that sounds that

sounds pretty cool. Instead Nemesis skinless dogs, yea, skinless dogs, Nemesis herbs, giant monsters, parasites. Yeah, no, you want to keep the skin on. That's where all the flavor is. So we stripped the skin off the dog and we're using that we make up dog skin, which we gotta make the base. Okay, yet, let you gotta let the dog skin rest You eat horses in this game? Is that like? Can you mix the red herb? You gotta let the dog skin restless dog.

It's only funny to me. Obsidian is making a new RPG, you guys. God, I forgot about that. Obsidian is making a new south Park RPG, you guys from the guys who brought you fall Out, New Vegas. Yeah, Alpha Protocol H South Park RPG, south Park of the game, south Park of the Game being written at least in claims from the press released by uh Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park, Tony Award winning duo in the Book of Mormon, Uh and I excuse publishing

it. Yeah, I saw some of the details from the Game of four cover story like it. I guess the comment system is like classic Final Fantasy. Yeah, I could see the Final Fantasy Firstlash six kind of thing they would want to risk, like various classes. Well, if you look at that, I mean the game and former cover definitely heavily implies that this will be a somewhat fantastical take on. There's there's star are summons and things like

that. It's very stra they said, if it's going to be dumbloadable or retail, it's almost they say full scale RPG full on. That kind of language definitely makes you think, let's go where this sounds. And that's one thing that worries me is like, do I really want to Southwark Humors for you know, like four or five hours straight, thirty hours over the course of a thirty four hours You're right, that cover kind of looks intriguing,

Yeah, a little bit. Yeah, it's almost you can almost see like some sort of persona kind of style, like running around those little kids, but they can project themselves into like crazy fantastical creations you don't curious to see. I feel big words. Yeah, Obsidian's been let's say inconsistence but always interesting. I feel like, yeah, even when you would call a game a failure of there is it's like, but this part of it was really cool. The catch, though, is that the part of it that's really

cool is usually the writing. And yeah, dude, there isn't the big absolutely no way. Those two guys, I totally I totally agree with you the right like the this is the overarking story. I'm pretty sure they're more more involved than that. I mean there's yeah, there's not sure they're very involved, but like heaven just watched that documentary about making South Park and stuff, like those guys are so busy, Like, yeah, there's no way

they're doing just this for POWE. Yeah, like like some of the design desn't just direct from them, like it's a silent protagonist because that's like that's the RPGs they like. But it sounds like a giant final fantasy. I don't doubt that those guys are, you know, just from watching the show. They play a fucking a lot of games. Yeah, like that's pretty apparent. So saw Trey Parker that Sony party, We're an American flag suit.

I trust that they'll have some some interesting things to do. There, but uh yeah, serious city and still has to have to sort of guiding hand and how that's implemented that. The Tower Defense game turned out surprisingly well, yeah, that was actually a really good game. I forgot that game like it was really funny. Recent was it was? It was all on the level of the TV show. So yeah, it's weird. Hey, twenty eleven South Park game, that show is still on still does well,

Yeah, just get renewed for like four more years. I think it's still Comedy Central's biggest show. Yeah, what are you talking about? Pretty sure, Tosh two point, I was gonna beating that out. I don't know about that. I don't feel like every time I hear about that show, it's it's in the context of like, yeah, that's the number one show's coming Central. Maybe maybe maybe it's seen it. I don't know, someone

likes it. I have not. I have it. I've not seen it comes on before the Daily Show, so my DV always gets five minutes of it. Oh you get the very end of it. You're like, what's tough to watch? I don't even blame him. Yeah, he seems like he's probably pretty funny, but yeah, no, man, no, man, unlike unlike that. No, I have YouTube that fucking robbed dearedic show ridiculousness or whatever. It's called an MTV holy shit. Oh where he stands

on the biggest laptop set like the IBM improved that. No, it's terrible. It's like him watching I watch it and I get frustrated that this gets produced for television, that money is put into this. It looks like it looks No, it's a real set, but he's standing on the keyboard of a giant laptop and referencing fucking YouTube videos of extreme sports accidents that are happening

on the screen. Real practical giant laptop he's standing on this point was a green screen, right, at least that's like, okay, low let's you know if you talk about you know, talk soup. It's like, all right, it's a low production value. They crank it out. Yes, they're just dealing at the footage from everyone else. But it's just they're spending all the money on the riding. Yeah, it's like fine, works fine, Like I accept it. But this there's like a fucking female co host

for no good reason. There's a dude, a on camber dude who who is using like the video mixer. So when when Rob sees something in a video is like, hey, rewind that. He sits there and he's actually physically fucking rewinding it so that he can recomment on that hilarious nutshot. Oh stopped talking about that show. Oh it's so bad. He's just like a weird little comedian and he's known for his comedy. So there's other things like

it's like they're showing these videos and it's he's commenting over them. But it's not even like America, like America's funny home videos where it's written where someone has like written a joke for this bit as hackey and bad as they may be, sometimes someone wrote something you're missing really pining for the days whatever. That show is still on videos Pop Saget doesn't hosted in a long time. Victoria principal. No what who it's some guy? No it's Dane Cook.

Nope, Tom Berger, tom Berger on thank you. He's been doing it for years. What do they do that? It's not just YouTube? No, people still send it. I don't know the camera sticks, what do they get? Just like they get something. I'm sure they get every form of everything. I'm sure. Those guys have to they have to have the masters of it's all data and video conversion. Like we can take literally any source and turn it into it. Yeah, send in this pal tape.

I don't even know where we got it. Yeah we got that, no problem, Yeah, Pal Beta max full size. What camera even used this? I don't know. This was shot on a p XL two thousand, so it's a cassette tape. Yeah, we can do that, all right, Okay, got that. This is just you just spin the wheel and look through the hole. The guy just a horse galloping. Yeah we can. We can do that. We can sending an an animated gift of him getting trampled by a horse foot book. Uh, here's two JPEGs of a

man slapping a baby. I was just my point though, is that at least that stuff has written this other show. It seems like it's just going like oh shit, like that looks fucked up. It's just oh my god. I was just talking to somebody about how America's funny someme videos. That YouTube is just that. Yeah, like what happened to that show? Oh it just became YouTube. No, it's still it does well for them whenever they throw on. Yeah, they you'll give out prizes and go to Disneyland

and all that shit and there's a live audience. Yeah, let's go. You want to go see totally. I actually know one of the writers on America's Funniest Writers. Yes, who story? You know? I know, I know, I know you said it was written writers and and and it's in ABC production and it's syndicated. So he does well for himself. Did you ever you talked to him about like does he watch the video? And

then it's like I gotta come up with a bit for this. Yeah, So he one time showed me one time showed me like some of their don't I'm not gonna name name, so I don't get him in trouble, but he showed me like they're like some raw like unedited, well not unedited, but they hadn't dubbed over the voice stuff yet. And so you were just like watching, like, yeah, here's the reel for this show. Here, there's what we're gonna put on, you know, next week's show or

whatever. It's just the videos. Yeah, And it was just the videos and he said, yeah, like we have to we have to call Child Protective Services sometimes from the videos that people said because like, oh, look at isn't this hilarious? Like no, you've endangered your child horribly, and and we can't show this to TV. In fact, we need to call the cops on you dog mauling a small baby because yeah, it's this awful thing, awful thing that buy that crime. Do we get the hundred thousand

dollars. But but it's like it's the things that they find, like the thematic things that they find that you would only find from like literally watching hundreds and hundreds of hours of people's funny home videos of like here is a montage of videos where something happens and then like the dog shows up, so just be like someone falls, like Grandma falls off the chair, and that's the hilarious thing, but then dog dog and then oh he fell off the ladder,

and then dogs always and and the part is just the dog walking into frame and every time that happens, like by doing that it actually makes it fucking hysterical. I bet that sounds super funny. But then like like we're so numb to the black in the nuts, you know, fell off the thing, something's on fire, Like we've seen that so many times now it's just we noticed the minutia of Yeah, dog in frame. Yep, there's the dog. Just imagine the people that fucking log those tapes and the tag

like the tag system or whatever, dog walks in. Uh, this is this is injury. Old woman Caucasian like, if you want to go see America's funny some videos, they probably I want to go see somebody writing now for America. I want to see somebody writing the fake that happened in my house. It was like, oh, the dog, look at me, Grandma. It's oh no, that's pretty funny. He was up from from La you know where he lives obviously, and you uh it was, you

know, at the apartment. It's like, I gotta submit some jokes for the show. So sit there on his laptop, clack clack, wow, raging Americ's fundies home videos, jokes. God, how did we get here? I don't know where are we even? I don't releases. Yeah, Tetris is now a subscription service apparently. Yep, the tea club. Sign up for the tea club. Sign up for the tea Club from one Will Smith. That's a version of Tetris is actually not bad. I've heard that

from some other people. Is it is it corroborated? Is it three bucks a month? Grade? And well you don't have to pay that. That's if you want to join the Tea Club, it's dollar Where do you get it? I just don't know how thirty years, even if it is better, I still don't want to play Tetris on an iPhone. It doesn't matter how good the interfaces. That's that's not that's not Tetris. So I just it's put Tetris out on the iPhone. Fine, I get it. You

need to have Tetris out on every platform. It says it's fucking Tetris. It runs on these microphones and actually was already out on in the iPhone. Sure, I don't one of the probably several times over. Yeah, but I think this. I think if you actually already bought as i've auto ta get auto up, I should find out that if I got banned. Unless you got banned, yeah, sorry, you know you can't ever again, you cannot join the Tea Club. I can think of the things you said

about straight pieces. They're they're real, they're real. EA was real and clear as far as like what you actually get from joining the tea Club, but even without like clearly they needed to be clearer. But even even without that, this doesn't seem like the game to kind of try and spear head

your mobile subscription model. You know, yeah, I think it's things like Tetris will cell really well and if they can dupe some small percentage of people into going like, hey, you get new weekly challenges for this puzzle mode or you know whatever it is which has that has to be what it is right here they do say exclusive challenges, exclusive discounts first off, because O there's other NAT purses, especially for you can buy credits, the boosted level,

exclusive discounts in content, premium tetrislog challenges, and a booster to prog to progress your tetrislog fat stir so double XP and Tuchris you guys, just by this mountain dew on this code done. I don't know. I guess you should see what it actually contains before I talk too much more shit, But it just it baffles. I like it seems suspicious. PlayStation Touchris it's good. Yeah, Tuchris DS it's great. It's good. YEAHS was great. The best Weirdly Hard Hard is really good. Short print, No,

that's great. The next battle guiding, Yeah, pretty back, we need we need to play. That's on eBay again after I'll delay the the podcast. You let me know like five messages and got a clippic right after. This should be fun, not just done with the Minecraft. It's taking a vacation. Yeah, down my copy I purchase. I up to in mind at one point now looked around. I was like, oh, this is still Minecraft, but apparently as an ending now and a final boss. Really

all right? I got check that out. You think one point I was good? Terraria updated to one point one, that's right, that's right. Always a lot of content, always ahead of the couple of guys that I know that we played Terrarea with earlier in the year, Like, I'll fuck it, We'll put a server back up so we're played them. I bought that and never even I didn't see I didn't see anything new. But you know, we're just we it's into fresh world, so we haven't really done

anything cool. I got grappling. Oh you know what the context ex sensitive button you can use to place torches more easily is great, easy torches. It's what it's what you're paying for. Easy torches. Uh, you know, Spike Spike vgas are happening this weekend, and so everyone is announcing more and more announcements and exclusive trailers. Epic has announced that they're going to announce something new they called their franchise, So so they they plan on making more

than one. Yeah, it's mighty presumption. Was yeah, uh why I feel like that kind of implies that it's not going to be a sequel to something that they've already made. Yeah. Yeah, well you could say new IP or new property. You know who wants to say new IP to anyone's new property? That the it's not like a jazz Jack rabbit boot right right

right, franchise crease the expectation of making many of these things. Yeah, probably don't mean maybe that just means it's Bulletstorms that would be turning it into a franchise. Don't mean franchise the way the bullets Storm is a franchise. No, because it's not. And more this is uh. They pointed to Lee Perry being yes, Scratch Perry, classic reggae artists, and he was on bullets Storm, wasn't he? He was he was kind of heading up

some of the Bulletstorm stuff. I don't know it sounds right. I think wasn't he I don't know it'd be it'd be awfully earlier game. Yeah, yeah, because I mean just came out wow cast a year. If this is just gonna be a quick teaser trailer for something that's not coming out until twenty thirteen or twenty twelve the earliest, I mean, then it could be. People don't forget that VA has had a Batman Arkham City trailer like three months after Kham Asylum came out. Yeah, that's true. So complex that

it's nuts. Are you missed that? You? Are you Donald Mustard dispelling ever? They were here, but they're gonna do when they're ready, and it's it's not happening anytimes or was that all smoke? Well? I guess you know. I p it wouldn't be shout complex too. Never mind, it's changing the name. The truth about Middle You're Solid Rising is that Epic is doing it. And now it's not called Meddle You're Solid Rising anymore.

It's just called rising. Colon reckoning storm, franchise storm, reckoning reckoning storm. I know that sounds bad. I don't want the storm of reckoning and reckoning storm is it storm made out of reckoning? Or is it or are we reckoning storms? It's a it's a am I the storm reckoner. It's reckoning storm. It's a storm of reckoning. New releases, just Dance three for the PlayStation three. Hasn't that I thought that that came out for other

things? The Adventures are Tin Tin the game for Nintendo We PlayStation three, Nintendo three DS and Xbox three sixty one twenty eleven for the Nintendo three DS. And that's it for your retail releases this week. Yea, and nothing of particular note on PlayStation Network, but Apples two Apples coming to Xbox Live Arcade this week. If you've never played the Apples to Apples card game,

it's fucking awesome. But I have still have no idea how to making this into a video game, so we'll find out later this week when comes out. It's a THQ joint. Try and two comes out this week as we learned to shit okay on Wednesday. Yeah, comes out this week for PCMAC and then December twenty PSN and twenty first done next day. Are we rapping soon because I gotta get my car? Oh jeez. Yeah, we'll wrap soon. Rap rap, trop rap rap. Let's talk about some some some

emails. Emails. Bobcast at johnbomb dot com is the email address if you want to hit us up. First email comes in from Ben in Saint Peter, Minnesota. Hello, BombCast crew. I was watching Breaking Brad this week with a couple of friends and we thoroughly enjoyed the video the quality. The quantitative side of me decided it would be good, it would be a good

idea to do some statistical analysis of Brad's mile high attempts. The results were eighty point seven three percent Brad dies in the first area two rooms prior to the room where the plane is breached. Eleven point nine two percent Brad dies in the room where the whole of the plane is breached. Seven point three four percent Brad makes it upstairs but dies there. Please note that end equals one hundred and one attempts and I did not start counting until one hour had

lapsed. This way, Brad should have had sufficient time to acclimate to the scenario. So there you go, kicking facts. It's a weird breakdown because there's only one room really before, that's what you're saying. The two rooms before the breach. Well there's the commers room sort of area leading up to it, I guess, and the bathroom guy. Bathroom fucking bathroom guy. No one likes bathroom guy. I love bathroom. You are bathroom guy. Yeah, I have a wall guy hang out. Talk about what's it like

to be a guy in video games? Hanging out in places? Hanging out? I don't know. I was leaning up against this wall, so that's cool. I was taking a ship, all right. Yeah. Later, Mike Voite writes into ask why no Infinity Blade on consoles? With the release of Infinity Blade two, I once again wonder why this game hasn't been ported to Connect Slash Move. What say you started as connecting? Do you really?

Yep? HM had been like one of the earliest like prototype things, right because yeah, the first Infinity like Kim maybe you think, I think about the swipes, Sure Holly would work, but they put it on iOS. It's done quite well for them. Sure you'd think they would want to do quite well on other players. They make more money on iOS. The amount of the amount of the resources you'd have to put into porting that versus what you would get out of it. You make win more money iOS you

in that purchases. That's it's just there's no incentive. I mean they could do it eventually, but yeah that you know, maybe some are Arcade next year or something like that. That making a connect game. Yeah, you know one of the epic has a Chinese team do so money? How much does that came? Plass get those guys due those seven bucks Universal lap though, so u And now it's got cloud saves so you can have the same profile going on on both devices at once, which is nice. Jason Kwan

in Fullish in California, Salutations Giant Bomb. I don't have the Motion Plus add on, but I really want to play Skyward Sword, So am I boned? Do I need to buy another stupid Wimo that has the Motion Plus? The last week game I played with Super Mario Galaxy, so I haven't used that thing in a while. Thanks guys for the help. I mean, you could get the bolt on adapter thing. Yeah, do you need it though? But yeah it is not. It is not Motion Plus optional

rampack they've got. Yeah, they've required. You can get the bundled version of it that's like seventy bucks the best price, and that one's That one's looks like it was getting a little hard to find the last time I checked. Because it's the gold controller, I think it's Yeah, I think it's first running, but yeah, unfortunately, or I don't know, maybe that's maybe the game better the we remote. I thought I saw that that those

things were the motion plus add ons were like sixteen bucks or something. You could probably get it for awfully cheap on eBay or something too. Robs Ross writes in and to write about the Uncanny Marketing Valley, the most recent making of video from Aspect three kind of put me off on The whole game opening with a glorified ad is annoying, but there's something about the whole video that gets to me. It's the kind of highly polished work that used to be

the hallmark of game enthusiast websites. Now studios and publishers produce this kind of material in house. When making realistic human beings, there's a place known as the uncanny value, where your creation is good enough to pass the glance test, but it's just unhuman enough to put people off. I think video game marketing is reaching such a point. It's so polished that it's starting to put me off and I alone on this front. Really, I really like that

idea. The idea of it almost seems like there by someone who wasn't just genuine feed for it. But but if you really look at it, you realize it's just fucking chill. I haven't seen the piece in questions or where. I'm seeing more of that as time goes on, you're seeing more and more developers building video teams of their own, yeah, and going out there

and you know, buy Where has a whole like regular streaming show. I think they have like a whole section of their site voted to like they were like, hey, we've got a NonStop live stream from packs run by all of us. Everybody is getting savvier about using the media tools at the end.

Yeah, I mean I don't I don't really mind it so much because it kind of offloads some of the stuff that we wouldn't do or could spend our time doing something cooler, or just by getting base level information out there or you know, in some in some ways, it used to be the thing that would you know, be part of a marketing deal right with a a outlet. Now it's like, all right, we'll just do it ourselves.

Yeah, we don't need to worry about and then everyone can run it and everyone will know control the message exactly, yeah, exactly, Like it's they control more of the message. I mean, yeah, you know, publishers have a lot more tools to talk directly to the audience that they can collect as much or not collect as much bet role as they want. You've heard people that make internal videos for publishers bitching about I don't think it's yeah

really yeah, it's not like they just get handed a building game. Those teams still want to control. It's everybody at every end, and then it just so then it just becomes like this huge political thing inside a company. Yeah, man, that's funny. Yeah, they get to control more of the message and and that's maybe dangerous in some way, but I think in some ways it gives them less control over what outlets are doing, because it's not something that the outlets are vying for and saying like, hey, we'll

produce this really nice retrospective about your franchise. If you give us the exclusive on this, you know, we'll do a big package. Like That's just there are times that they have you know, better access though, like you know, uh, you know Eric Pope at Harmonic's part of the community team there. He does you fair amount of video content for them, and he's able to dig the crates for weird. Not every single community produced video is

garbage. That's that's not that. But also that Bungee puts out yea, their own stuff is really good. One more email, This comes from Nick in South Carolina. He says he sent this from his gizmondo, but I'm highly suspicious. Second time gizmondo came up today. Also, yeah, weird, feel good about that anyway. I have a legitimate, non bullshit question. Why is it that find that very hard to believe? Why is it that in some games, different NPCs voiced by different voice actors will often have

the same line. This is especially noticeable in open world games. To use Skyroman as an example, have you seen those warriors for hammer Fell? They have curved swords. Curved swords. Skyrom's not the most greedist offender by a long shot, but that was the most relevant example I could come up with. When it comes to incidental dialogue, it seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to write another line for the voice actor instead of just directing him to

repeat what another actor said. So why do they do that? Laziness or something far more insidious at work here? That stuff used to really bother me and then I took an arrow in the knee. Don't perpetuate that any further. And it's pretty dumb. The Internet, it's pretty good. The the internet has started started turning on that meme. Doesn't really Yeah, wow, it's only like two days ago. I'm really excited about it. Got in

before the cutoff though. We got about six more hours. That goes this show up going to seem like a total dick, real funny, Brad, is it fresh dot com will say no to this bomb cast? I actually wanna say one more email from Hans Grouper Yeah okay, yeah great, I hear from Lawns. I just thought I would share. I just thought I would share. I was driving down a poor road at about eleven thirty pm listening to last week's episode of A dog ran in front of my car and

I swerved, nailing the curb and cracked my wheel. I got out to inspect my car and kept the podcast playing. As I saw the damage to the wheel, laughter erupted on the bomb cast that was actually us. We were in the bushes terrorists. Yeah no, no sympathy from US, Hans And that's your brother off too BombCast at jatbomb dot com. Thanks everyone who wrote in, and Viney Caravella is so glad to have you. Thanks the studio. I hope you, hope you enjoyed your rest. Ready for another

you get back out there with the Mountain Lions. And that's it for the show. Give him for listening, and we'll be back next Tuesday with another edition of JOT Podcasts.
