Everyone. It's Tuesday, January eighteen, twenty eleven, and you're listening to the Giant Bomb Cast. I'm Ryan Davis, No Vindey Caravilla this week he's on vacation. But Jeff Gersman's here. Hello, I am here. Then Brad Shoemaker's here. I also am sitting in this chair. And to fill the gaping hole in our hearts, well, you know, I guess do what we can. Alex Navarro's here. I'm like a sort of cylindrical block.
You're dropping into a giant square block, and it's to feel a little of the space Alex shaped peg and even shape hoole, which is not going to fill the entirety of the space movie. I read that slash fiction. Yeah, it's it's based on the slash fiction the movie. Yeah you Alex. How's it going? That's going all right? How you doing? Man? I'm well, I had I just we just came off of a pretty kick ass three day weekends? Are good? A kick ass star trek filled
weekend? Yeah, yeah, a lot of star trek happened this weekend. Man. You had a marathon on on Monday to celebrate MLK Day, Martin Luther King, You know, Rachel harmony and all that unity. Although although I think the our takeaway was that there's just everything is space racist in Star Trek kind of ye, species is. Yeah, even when it's even when they're trying to be good about it, they're being pretty bad about it. But there are so many lessons in understanding, and that's the thing that we
can we can certainly get behind. They at least throw the lessons in understanding out there saying that in the future space is separate but equal, was it, I mean, that's why they have the neutral zone think about it. Yeah, yeah, I guess Dyson spears man, that's humans and romulans cannot drink at the same waters. But until we get past this, petty. We watched a whole shipload of Star Trek and we had we had cellular peptide cake with mint frosting and romulan ale. Yeah, I know, Gary Wooda
totally made a cellular peptide cake. Girl. I don't even know what I don't even know what that means. So there's there's an episode where Data has dreams and they're weird, okay, And in one of them, Counselor Troy is made out of cake and to talk about what kind of cake it is, and it's cellular peptide cake with mint frosting, says we are all full.
So we so a cake was made to look like Chance counselor Troy's torso, and we ate and we totally shock it out there it is and it had mint frost man, because everybody at all can see what I'm showing you right now. Yep, well it's on the internet. It was super impressive. We've interneted it several times, breaking science cakes. It was good. I mean it was just a regular cake. Yeah, just we called it celli peptide cake. You can't actually make cellar Peptides are like the things that
keep cells together. Yeah, I don't think you could make a cake out of them. Okay, but then also but then also will Smith dry ice. So all of our drinks were smoky and bubbly great, like even the most stuff we were drinking, like I think I also, I think I think blue food coloring was also brought so just all drinks were blue and smoke. Yeah, nobody actually tried putting blue food coloring in the beer. Did They didn't even have any beer. We didn't really drink much beer. Yeah,
I was putting drink. I was putting the blue into my drid bulls. There was there was question about what blue food coloring would actually do to beer, like a lot of people thought it would turn green. I don't know. Green. Green is another color of drink that is allowed in the Star Trek. That's probably that's probably true. Also on Saint Patrick's Day, Yes, that's a that's a Star Trek holiday. As Star Trek, it's a Romulan drinking holiday. Irish people are in fact aliens. Chase the Klingons
out of Ireland. I like to crash the Saint Patrick's Day parade in my Star Trek uniform. It was a great deal of fun, delightful just sit around with a whole bunch of nerds and watch a bunch of Star Trek. Yeah, it's good. The Home of Norman Shan. Yeah, I got to see Norm chance place test dot COM's Norm Chan the the bat Chan Cave as he wants to call it, a nice, nice place, nicely done. Uh, Alex Barrow, Yes, did you get it anything else?
Over the weekend? Uh? I actually uh yeah. I spent basically Saturday and Sunday doing absolutely nothing I didn't. I did not leave the house at all on Saturday and barely left on Sunday, and amid that, I was playing some games here and there. I've been playing Rascals, a little bit of Rascals Ros Skulls Schools. Yeah. No, i'men playing a little bit of that. I like it. It's good. It's it's a neat little
uh to finish it yet. No, I haven't finished it yet. I'm I've only been playing in little fits and starts, but it's uh, it's I've been I've been enjoying the humor and the uh the puzzly needed, like the race puzzles of that game, I think are kind of neat. I like that they very like the nature of the levels. But it's a pretty short game and and I kind of felt like I had I had gotten everything that I needed out of it by the time I was done. I was
super short. If you're critical path it's what I'm saying. What I'm saying is like I didn't really feel I started the most. I think it's so hard. They really do. Some of them are like meat Boy hard. Yeah, So I've been playing something that game. As we discussed that game, does not have meat boy controls. No no no no no no no. So playing some of that I I I downloaded iland My Up and playing
a little of that too. Haven't gotten as far into that one. It seems cute, but I also feel like I definitely need a partner to play that game with because buy yourself it. No, you don't know, I don't the multiplayer, I mean, I might be beneficial to have someone sitting there looking at it. Also, that is, the multiplayer is not not good. It's just frustrating because it is exactly the same as the single player, except when you switch off, someone else controls that person. It's not
simultaneous. And then yeah that person because you're just like, spend the camera that way and then go over there and pick that up and they're okay, I don't want that. Then yeah, I don't know. I mean it's that game seems cute and fun, but I also I can also see those puzzles getting really sious and difficult after a while. It sounds like a game
that would destroy relationship. Yeah, yeah, definitely. But other than that, you know usual stuff, uh rock Band and you know various other XBL The games I've been playing for the last five years, so you know more Tan, Yeah great, Yeah, I'm predictable. Do you run into the same people playing Katan? Almost never? Wow, we're almost never. Do you ever have a hard time getting a game? More so these days? But yeah, it's uh, you know, there's there's usually some people online.
Well, if if you're down for some other types of German board gaming, I think we might be playing some Ticket to Ride. I've never played Ticket to Ride live, like an actual like a board game on TNT this week, like an actual board game. Yes, I don't like a real I don't. I don't know how to deal with that meat meat space. I don't know how to deal with things that are I really I really enjoy I enjoy meat space. What well, what do you hate more meat space?
Or when people refer to paper or magazines or anything as dead trees, I've never never heard of that, the dead Trees edition of your magazine. Both of those are terrible. Never met anyone that actually talks that way. So, yeah, you're hanging out with the wrong people if you're hanging out the trees and going yeah all the time, we'll see. That's how I hear meat space. It's the same those are the same thing. Okay,
so let's just say I don't know tabletop, I don't know. I bought a kindle, So no more dead trees, editions of anything for me out of here. Terrestrial radio yeah, what you know? Not satellite radio, okay, terrestrial radio, yeah, make a difference. I don't know anyone who listens to its wave because then the signal originates on the ground but then bounces off of the sky and comes back. That's that's extraterrestrial, because like
extra out of because the aliens run the number stations. That's the part that they haven't revealed yet. Do you do anything non game related? Alex Navaro? I watched some movies. You know, I can moped around the apartment. I'm writing a thing for screened on a pair of LARPing documentaries, Dark on Is I want to actually watch over the holiday break. But I watch Monster Camp over this this past weekend. And that one is those two movies
cannot be more different in tone and tenor and and like humor. It's like Monster Camp is like these sort of fun Look look at these nerds. They're hanging out and they're just doing their larpin thing. And dark On is like deathly serious, with like helicopter shots of like landscapes and like dudes like screaming and battle dress and shit. It is. It is unbelievable. I have wanted to see dark On for years. It's on, it's on, this
is streaming. You should totally watch it. It's great. It's it's great and tragic. It's just so tragic. So is it. Like the filmmakers are taking it super serious, are the people that are doing it and the people In both cases, the people who are doing it are taking it fairly seriously. But Monster Camp is a much lighter and sort of like just you know, kind of look at these nerves, these nerds, they're doing funny
stuff. They're weird, you know, look at the weirdos. Dark On like it treats it with like it sort of has the same understanding that they are, in fact nerds and dorky and this is kind of fun to like watch and sort of laugh at from a distance. But then like there are all these scenes that they stage, like from the dark On role playing that
are done in this like very Lord of the Rings. There's sort of like cinematic presentation with like helicopter shots of the Maryland landscape, like it's it's really intense running across it with padded swords like maybe fifty but yeah, that's you know, they it's definitely there is a seriousness to it that is hysterical. And I enjoy those people like that game, right, Yeah, and you see what the rest of their life is like, and that's where the tragedy
comes in. I was gonna say, I could totally see the deep diving on the personal lives and and that being pretty There's a guy in Monster Camp, bummer who follow any of us home. I'm should that be real? Uh? Who would you to put on camera as well? Yeah, there's a dude in in in Monster Camp who has he lives with his roommate who works at fred Meyer. He does not have a job. Okay, he's spends an entire day playing j RPGs in World Warcraft. He does not cut
his fingernails. Uh, and he has been a high school senior for four years. All right. So that's that's the level of of of folk you're dealing with here. So it's like an American movie but padded swords, yeah kinda Yeah, terrific tragedy all around. But yeah, that was my weekend, a nutshell tragedy all around. So some Star Trek and then some Star
Trek. Fantastic, Jeff Gersman. My weekend was similarly tragedy all around because I spent large portions of it playing DC Universe Online PlayStation three version no less. Yeah of dc U. O tell me about your dude. My dude is powered by ice. Okay, his name. I'm not gonna say his name, Okay, because I don't want to be harassed by other people playing the game. You don't want to ruin your DC Universe Online experience. Yeah,
your secret. I'm not quite done playing it, So until I'm done playing it, nothing Ice man, he has powered by all you figured. Now wait by that, do you mean meth and phetamines or do you actually just mean ice ice Ice? Okay, yeah, that's one of the I picked Superman for my main guy. Uh though, that stuff I don't Yeah, I don't know that that game. When we did the quick look and saw an hour of it and then he played an hour of it, I was like, man, why would anyone want to play this game? And
now that I've played about fifteen hours of it or something like that. It is, uh that that feeling has completely intensified. It's just there's just such there's there's nothing to it as a game, you know. It's like the character creator is still kind of the best part of it. They do a really shoddy job with kind of putting you in touch with the old DC heroes. Most of them just like pop up in like tiny circles like, oh, here's Batman's face talking to me about how we need to go fight the
Joker's Batman remotely right, like he's not even there. Yeah, yeah, And then you know, you get into these instances where and where you do encounter kind of the real guys, like last night, I uh protected the Riddler who was being attacked by death Stroke and that was like a boss fight basically at the end of this instance, and that happened. I don't know. Yeah, it's it's just you know, you basically, yeah, you fight your way through all the instances to get to an encounter that includes dudes
you might actually care about, but then those aren't especially well done. You fight Poison ivy, well, actually, you don't even fight Poison ivy. You fight a bunch of tree dudes. And you fight Robin, who is under her control, and I don't know, the game does a really bad job of making any of these named superheroes and villains seem powerful at all,
Like the very intro game which you guys saw. Yeah, you know, you fight alongside Superman or if you're a villain Lex Luthor fighting all these brainiac robots and you're just whipping these robots asses. You're tearing them apart. And if you stop and actually look at Superman, he is not And and anytime you fight alongside guys like you fight alongside the Titans, I guess the teen Titans. They just call him the Titans. Okay, you know it's like
four of them or something like that, or three of them. You have to beat up all of them. They're all under mind control, one at a time, and you just work them. You know, it's you beat
the crap out of Robin. And granted, you know they can kind of say, oh, he's being controlled by somebody, so he's not as awesome as he would but like you're totally outclassing like death Stroke and these you know, kind of named meaningful guys while you're a you know, I'm a level twenty two ice guy and it's it's, It's, it's it does a really bad job of making any of these guys seem formidable. Basically. It also seems like most of the time they're just like fucking store guys or quest givers.
Well there's a lot of that too. Some some guys actually uh dual role in the game, Like Aquaman is always up on the on the watch tower on the space station selling stuff, but then there's a whole separate quest chain where you gotta, I think pretty sure you fight a mind controlled Aquaman because the Atlanteans are coming to surface and taking people hostage or something like that.
I don't know, Like they do all these kind of arcs, which are just lines of quests that end in an instance, that end in a like kind of cool little video sequence, which is really the only neat thing about or one of the one of the few neat things about the game, as those are kind of well done. But it's, uh, it is monotonous. It is, you know, for a game that they kind of say themselves like there's no grinding in this game. It's like no, you
actually just made the entire game one long, kind of meaningless grind. You're just not grinding for equipment because you don't care about equipment. It's uh, yeah, it just seems really ill conceived. I you know, I haven't hit the max level, but I don't know that I'm going to what is
it thirty? I'm twenty four right now, and from the sounds of things, I don't know, like seeing what the level thirty guys on my server are doing, it sounds like they are sitting around doing nothing and waiting for like the PvP zones to reset, or waiting for their subscriptions to run out. You know, it's it's it's doesn't really seem like there's there. There
is a bunch of stuff that unlocks that level thirty. You can go on raids, which are basically just eight player instances, which with my experience with getting the four player instances to work, means that all these level thirty players are just sitting around waiting for something to happen, like waiting for their turn to come up. And they chew thirties the cap. Yeah, and where do you at twenty four? And that's like, Yeah, a fucking weekend
basically played fairly casual and the game was down all day Sunday. It seems crazy you can hit the cap. What is it a week ago today? Right? Yeah, yeah, that it came out. Yeah, it seems crazy that that many people are already at the cap, yeah, or that you're that close to the cap and yeah, and I haven't been playing especially seriously, and I have not been like I've been soloing everything for the most
part, kind of talking to people here and there. But other than when you get thrown into these Uh So there's instances there are part of quest lines and those you can do alone. But then there's just the separate area where you sign up for like PvP arenas, and there are also instances there would be like go to Guerrilla Island and fight all these monkeys gorillas. No they're almoskey, No, they're totally gorilla, they are gollas. Be ironic to
go to Grilling Island parrots really cool, that'd be way cool. But you are playing this game on the PlayStation. You are playing in MMO. Yeah, that stuff. Uh, the MMO aspects of it work. There are login queues and confusing error screens like you would expect from the MMO experience. That's what I always wanted no. I mean, it's it's kind of cool that stuff works, but the game really really feels like they've built it for the PC and then went like, oh god, this has to be on
consoles. Also, let's throw in some other stuff, which I guess that doesn't necessarily a pot of the core action because it is more action oriented than you know, even you know, like like World of Warcraft or kind of the traditional mmore where you are hitting buttons to do combos and stuff like that. But the downfall of that is that you never feel connected to your movements. You know, it's it's it's an MMO. The movement and the combat
all feels really latent for an action game. Basically, it's do you think there's still do a lot of dice rolls going on? I think there there is, for certainly how much damage is being done. But no, I mean, like, you know, if you're blocking at the time of an attack coming in, it is blocked, okay, So it is You're not like you're not like arbitrarily missing attacks, just you don't miss, at least it doesn't seem like you miss, but it's just you know, you you
have to bash out these combos pretty quick. And then you're sit there. You sit there and kind of watch the animation for a while. Sure, and that's uh, yeah, you just feel really disconnected. Like if you compare it to a real action game, a real offline action game or you know, like a four player online action game or something like that, like it just it doesn't You don't feel like you're hitting these dudes. You feel
like you're hitting buttons and watching dudes get hit. And that's unfortunate because it just that, you know, it just means that they built a bad action game. And right now, there's there's basically the two. There's Metropolis and Gotham City. Yep, that's that's yeah, mostly the extent of it, Man runs Gotham and Superman and wonder Woman kind of both hang out in Metropolis. Teacher, that says, Batman runs Gotham. Yeah, and then I
Wonder Woman works out of the Chinatown police station. I don't know, I don't really I don't keep up with Wonder Woman, so I don't know if that's she's completely like arbitrary. Yeah, like they had to have someone who's margin was magic to be a mentor, because like Batman runs the tech guys Superman runs the meta human guys, and then they're like magic, who do we wonder? Isn't there a guy who is actually a magician in the DC universe. There's Zatanna, who's a female magician. Yeah, you do some
work with her when you work with Wonder Woman. She's not high level enough though, you need top dude. Didn't they just kill the Wonder Woman movie again? A TV show? The TV show? Yeah? I think David Kelly was working on a TV series that they decided to not make. Was it a courtroom drama? No? Probably at some point. Oh man, that'd be great. The old TV shows he worked, he worked for what they're wonder Woman, Law, wonder Woman, jag ncis wonder Woman, Yeah,
Mark Harmon, Wonder Woman, San Diego. Yes, but yeah performance. Why's the game has a lot of issues. The frame right, it's really bad. Yeah. It also runs in seven twenty, which, you know, kind of the traditional PC console split there of the console version doesn't look nearly as good. But then on top of that, to be saddled with you know a lot of really bad frame rate issues is also kind of troubling. But the big problem is that the menus are not built for a
game pad, and the game doesn't have mouse support for that stuff. As far as I can tell, I bugged in the mouse, it didn't do anything, which is funny because that when you first log into the PS three version, it actually shows the radical that the PC version has and then quickly
fades out like it's it's the same game. But no, no, no, no, no no, like, well you can't have that, yeah exactly, but you got like the keyboard stuff to wor yeah, so the keyboard works, and you can use those as shortcuts to get specific menus open. You can hit EYE for inventory and JA for your quest log which journal, P for your powers and stuff like that, and you can also use the one through six keys to trigger your your hot bar stuff if you want
to. But the shortcuts on the game pad are usually pretty good, but you don't get any mouse support and the menus, so you're just kind of left fumbling around the innards of these menus with the game pad and kind of like, okay, so I hit the R one and L one to shift between tabs in this specific thing, and now I'm in the social menu, and how do I you know, I need to pick up power? But it's not always easy to get the cursor over the power that I'm trying to
select on this this menu. You know, like the menus just aren't built for a console. They're meant to be moused over. And yeah, and you know there's stuff like tool tips that you I assume you would get by hovering over your hot bar on the PC that are painfully missing, because, like, at least with the Ice power tree, a lot of the icons for powers as you're getting them look kind of the same. Here's a silhouette of a dude and then waves coming out, and then it's all kind of
bluey, whitey ice fill. These ice things are sideways, but in this one, yeah, exactly, so you're kind of you can only have six powers equipped on this bar, so you can't have to go into load outs and all this stuff, which is also kind of annoying, and you get to a point where you're not one hundred percent sure what any of them do. Also, because even if you did get those tooltips, the descriptions of
the powers are really bad. It's like hurdles shards of ice at your enemies, no numbers about like how much damage it does or anything like that. Yeah, no one says create It creates a storm of ice that swirls around you. And then the other one is like throw a snowball at a guy, maybe knocking him down, which is like the one in like the one piece of useful indat this one might have knocked down effects. Like they just don't have a raw like here's what this does, yeah, and here's why
you want to use it as opposed to this thing. They don't. They don't list like the power cost on these screens or anything like that. You're like, so, what percentage of might of my bar is used? Like f off, that's how much. But they do all have kind of a vague thing where it'll say, like increases damage by x percent until the hit counter resets. So I guess when you hit with these powers you can then
do a combo afterwards and get do additional damage. That stuff is really poorly implemented, like in terms of just kind of telling the player what what that stuff does and how hard it hits and all that, But it almost doesn't matter because you just kind of pick the ones you like, and all of them are relatively effective because you are kind of leveling up as you level up you're not putting points into your character per se as you'd get like a skill
point or a power point and go like say like, well, okay, now I want to have I want ice better. Yeah, I want better ice or or or or you know, I'm gonna go put further points into the combo system, which unlocks this combo, which that stuff I thought was a lot better done than than any of the stuff, even though that doesn't necessarily tell you how much damage you're doing. Like your weapons come with a DPS rating and that's that's a number. But it's not like you're just holding
down the attack button on a guy. You're actually wailing out combos, some of which are more effective than others. So it's like, well, what does that number really is that just the base? Yeah, like what is the actual effect that this weapon is having my damage? Yeah, So it's it's kind of it doesn't do a good job of kind of telling you what all that stuff does, and that's unfortunate, but ultimately it's kind of a
minor point. The flow of the game and the quest design and all that stuff is just so bland and so uninteresting that even if you know the power system was amazing, and the combat felt a little better, it would still be like, all right, I'm tired of killing twenty five of everything.
I'm tired of going to this other zone waiting, you know, fifteen seconds or so for everything to spawn around me, which meanwhile invisible enemies are hitting me while I'm waiting for the system to catch up with where I am and and all that stuff. So they didn't do a very good job. They did not do. It's not a very good game. It is not a very good game. Was this internal soe I believe? Yeah, yeah,
it's incredibly shallow, and the technical issues and stuff are are unfortunate. But ultimately, I think even if that game was was working perfectly, you'd be like, like, there's just not enough content. It's not a variety, but it's so short to any of that stuff. For how long it was like all those raids and all that stuff doesn't open up until you hit max
level. So there's like duo instances for you know, teams of two, and there's the eight player raids, and then you know, there's all this there's other like PvP arenas that open up as you level up, but I didn't find any of that not to take an overly reductive perspective here, but what is the incentive as a player to do that stuff? I imagine you know there's gear to get, but you said you don't care about gear,
right, not? Really? The one thing that is nice about gear, and it's probably the smartest thing they could have done with the relation with the way the character design works is any piece of gear will have a style associated to it, so like some of it will be like this is fourth World gear, and that doesn't necessarily confer any additional bonuses. It's just like the look of the item. So it'll be like, here's biker shirt. You know, we'll have a better name for it and stats and stuff like that,
and you will encounter additional biker shirts along the way. But once you equip any item of that style, you can go into your style tab and go to chest and turn on any of the previous styles you've found for cosmetic purposes, your equipped gear is still the stuff it's using for the numbers. But if you want to keep your guy looking the way he looked when you
created him, you can lock all your styles there. You can adjust your stuff, so this kind of this like collect them all nature of like, well, I want to complete you know, anti freeze set and it's not the best stat wise. You know, it's not going to be the best set in the game or anything crazy like that. But if you want your
got to look like that, you can totally do that. Brad that teams to specifically address your your vanity clothes where yeah, yeah, it's been running around in clothes that are not the best ones, Like man, these boots are pink, but they have better stats. But the hell exactly. So it solves that problem. You know, you can kind of change your color scheme on the fly also, so they actually handle that stuff really well.
It kind of creates the other problem of you can look at someone and have no idea if they're tough or not, and without the ability to kind of hover over and can someone you can lock onto someone and I imagine there's probably some keyboard command for inspecting or some menu you could dig through to do it, but uh, all you really see is their level. You can't see like, oh, they're wearing the sickest gear in the game, I don't
want to fight them or something like that. Well, that's a minor points, that's not the at least there is something to be good to be taken from it though. Yeah, yeah, that that stuff is is really nicely done. One feature character creation and character customization, I thought was was nice one feature for Blizzard to pluck from that and add to their own. Yeah. I wonder if they more and more unkillable. I wonder if they could roll that back in though there's so much gear in there at this point.
Yeah, yeah, I wonder if they keep it. I wonder if they have a list somewhere of every piece of gear you've ever equipped. So if they were to go back and say, like, this is part of this
style, this is part of this style. If they could retroactively unlock all that, right, there's there's so many more parts and so much more content, and wow, that'd be more of a challenge, but they would probably just start fresh, just because all the people that are crazy about that sort of thing would go by all that low level gear anyway, and it wouldn't cost them that much. And this also has color coordinating, right, like everything can be the same color. Yeah, there's no set color to each
piece of right exactly. Yeah, there's you don't go by die, right, you have three separate colors you can apply to each piece of gear and and you do so, and that's that's pretty easy. Well, the menu for that cord could be a lot better, but you know, in the grand scheme of things, it's not. But it's crazy think about you know, two factions. It sounds like like what three or four hero types or or or classes I guess you'd call it for Well, you got like many
human Yeah, there's there's basically three races. Yeah, and uh and that's determined by your mentor and then uh, I guess six classes, but those are really boiled down to three different roles. So what they did is there's no pure DPS class, Like every class kind of does that. And then at level ten you unlock the ability to it's like a stance, so like if you have a if you have ice or fire, that's a defensive stance. So your your alternate role becomes tank at level ten. Okay, so
you've got to swap into that and it'll swap your hot bar out. But there there don't seem to be a lot of like a traditional tanking ability would be to like get agro off of other guys, right, the shouts and that sort of stuff, the warrior kind of traditional stuff. There's none of that in there, so, like, none of the ice powers ever say anything about agro or anything about pulling dudes away. It just says when you are a tank, you will do less damage and take less damage, which
sounds kind of like a zero sum game to me. Yeah, it seems like if I live longer, but it takes longer to kill stuff, right, So theoretically you would be you know, they would be on you while the other players are doing stuff. To guys, I don't know. The group dynamic seems a little messy in that game, but it's nice to have a healer around, so there's that. There's also Yeah, so there's a controller role, which is kind of the you do buffs and stuff like that,
and then there's the healer role. This doesn't sound like a game I want to play. Yeah, I totally agree. So I wrote up something that actually you guys should read. It reads a whole lot like a review of that game, and it just kind of the only reason I'm hesitant to put it up as a review is there's this whole like, you know,
how much of Nimmo did you play before you wrote the review? And I feel like I have played more than I wanted to see, and I've kind of messed around the character creator and kind of we could we could invoke will pause law here. Yeah, there's definitely a yeah when did you want to stop playing this game? Uh? Yeah, about the level eleven or twelve or something like that. But you know, it was like a I figured, well, I should just keep playing it because you know, we don't
have we didn't have a little big planet too at the time. Right, Well, I don't have anything else to be working on. Might as well just slave away at this thing and see how far I get right up something.
I mean, it sounds kind of like a low impact in experience if nothing else, it doesn't sound like it's Yeah, it's definitely good that you could pick up and play for you know, the first thirty days or you know, there's kind of like seven just kind of is what it is, bang against it and not really worried too much about dying or anything like that. Yeah, is there any way to get it fun besides buying like a sixty dollars box like or they do it. They can get it on the
PC and get a fifty dollars box, But it is. It is by the game at retail prices and play it for thirty days and there's no like you know, download to via the internet. No weirdness. Well there's there's Steam on the PC, and as I understand it, the PC version does
have game pad support. So with that in mind, if you could do mouse, keyboard and game pads, you get mouse for the menus, game pad for playing it, and keyboard for you know, the chat stuff and social aspects and all that, like that would be the best way to play this game. Really. Yeah, I don't know. It seems it seems to me that having to move your hands between multiple input devices is never the
best way. It's like there's got to be a way to purify and considering considering what you give up by not having a mouse on the p S three and how clunky the menus are, it will be worth having that mouse there. It's the benefit of the controller. Like the combat stuff is better, is better on a game pad than it is on the mouse. Just sounds all over the place. Yeah, because it's a it's a two button combos system. It's like light heavy or or or melee and ranged if you will.
And I'm I'm double baffled by the lack of PS three PC crossover. It's got voice chat on PS three. I don't know if it does on PC or not, but it only works when you're in groups and stuff like crossover between the two platforms, right, Yeah, they are totally separate, and you would not want to if you were. If you were a PC MMO playing kind of guy, sure, you would fucking lose your mind playing on the p S three servers because of the way people play. It is
the level of competence, it is the just everything is a shout. Every single piece of chat is a shout for that whole zone because it's it's it's the only way anyone can talk to each other, and it's just this endless scroll of just like please. That actually seems like if you played a video game, like like not even an MMO before, But what are you talking
about? That seems like it could be kind of an interesting social experiment, Like take someone that has played a lot of PC MMOs and then plunk them down in front of the PIECES three version of this game, and just see how long it takes for them to completely lose their ship. Yeah, yeah, that's I mean you don't really need to communicate with people to really play that game. So and it's it's all. It seems like they really built it to be sole, to the point where I don't even know why you
would group up for anything but the forced grouped instances. Do you know if this is included in the station Pass I don't believe it is. There's no station stuff on the p S three version at all. So I know the station launcher is on the PC version of the game, but I have to imagine. No, I don't think they put up they put new games in there right out of the gate. I thought that was something they added like after a year or something like that. I don't know anything. I don't.
I totally don't. The Matrix Online was the last time I launched the station pass thing. We all saw how that went. Yeah, I don't. I'd no longer have the station pass thing installed. Yeah. Yeah, So I I don't think I would recommend the game either way. But if if you were dead set on playing this thing, you should you should get
the PC version. I think even even if you weren't playing with a game pad, I think the the hassle of the men used and stuff like that on the PS three and and the lower resolution and that sort of stuff, and the frame rate stuff is bad enough that it would be worth uh playing it on the PC? If did you play any games that you didn't hate? Nope, Oh you know, I played it. I played Superstar Dust
HD. So I took my other PS three, my launch PS three, and finally updated the firmware on it and hooked it up to my three D TV and played some Superstar Dust HD in three D, which is the same game, right it is by a separate three D version or anything like that. It updates, so, wasn't it. Every time I tried to update it, it was just resetting the console, so I had to actually delete the game and redownload. The whole thing would come up and say you need
an update. Then I'll hit the button and then it would reboot, reboot the system. I'm like, okay, that's all right, you still need an update. Yeah. Basically three is this this awesome endless loop. Everything about the back end of that thing. It's a mystery. My trophies have not been sinking properly. It just keeps giving me an error over and over for the last couple of days. And weird. I thought they fixed that like that that was going on for everybody for a while. Really, this
was last night. I just kept airring out at like thirty percent, trying to sink the trophies, and then like one time, it went through. But then I went into the thing and the new trophies were not there, weird, and I backed out and then it started airring out again. Guys, I don't know causality loop. Oh shit, you think there is a movieous effects going on? Figure out if you start seeing instances at the number three. The number three, Yeah, I could send ourselves a message back
in time into Brad's positronic brain. So how does the three D experience? Altar superstartus HD makes it way harder? It looks really nice. Yeah, I was impressed with the way it looked, but I did as someone who was pretty good at the game and two D I play like fucking garbage. Three D. It just it led to me to focus on a tighter area
of the screen around the ship and stuff like that. And in a game where you kind of need to see everything at all times, you need that peripheral vision, and the three D seems to take a lot of that away. I don't know if it's something that you would eventually adjust to and it wouldn't be a problem. But I feel like that's kind of true of like all all the three D media I have consumed, is that you can't you can't take in a like all of the full screen three D noss at once.
Yeah, like you do kind of have to focus on a section of the screen. You have to do with the size of the screen, like I had your proximity to It's probably I've also found that the three D looked a lot better when I got further away from the TV. Yeah, there's probably a I don't know, it's pretty pretty specific sweet spot for that kind of stuff. Yeah, but yeah, that I did it significantly worse at that game playing at in three D. Would DC Universe Online be better in
three D? It wouldn't matter, Yeah, I don't. I don't think it would. I don't think it would, you know, make the game tougher or anything like that. Sure, that game could use a lower frame rate, there were already there was already one spot and you know there's one spot where the frame rate had gotten down to about three or four frames per second. It's got to that point where you can start counting it. You're like, what is going on? You know, because I'm like flying over
the city and it's just like big gray blocks. There's a statue of Superman sitting in one of the parks or something like that, and uh, I was getting way closer to it than they probably ever intended. So it was like the low detail version of it, which is just like this big block with like a texture of that side of the statue on it, like big black blocks. It just like looks like the dumbest thing ever. Finally snaps in and like, okay, all right, fine, but yeah, there's
a there's a lot of low frame rates. But you know, it's a game where you start flying over the whole city and then come crashing down to Earth and land, and you know for it to it just can't keep up. It just can't keep up with the way you move in that game. Anyway. Brad Shoemaker trans frown upside down. It's not Brad doing all right? How's your weekend? Pretty good? Watch the Star Trek? Norm chance
sweet pad? They doesn't have pretty sweet pad. He've wired every room for either that I know, that's what you knew man, you're gonna do something like jealous. I mean, what if if you have the drywall off, it's kind of a consequential to run some drops. Yeah, oh man, I want to live in a place with wired either not video games. Did you uh? Did you do like I did? And after our Friday episode deliberations, did you go and watch a bunch of the episodes that you wanted
to watch that got cut? No? I don't have that series and an easily watchable format. They do have that DVD set that's very expressive. Yeah, but it's not it's not the like seven hundred and fifty dollars that it used to be. If you bught the box set, is that the one that that would have brought? Yeah, that green case green were looking. I don't know what's metal frame. I thought it was like Xbox games. It's kind of a kind of hideous. It is pretty gross, but it's
the whole series, but contained within is Star Treks. Yeah that's good, all of it. Could've the episodes you don't want, But now I would be afraid to buy that because Blue Ray probably at some point didn't even shoot that behind a resolution for it to matter what it doesn't matter, anything shot on film can be transferred to the two HD like like ten ADP was derived
specifically to emulate the level of detail in thirty five millimeter film. I watched bullet On on Blu Ray over the weekend, and that it is from nineteen sixty eight, and that transfer looks really really good. Any any thirty five millimeter film it up can be scanned, Yeah, perfectly, so I don't. I don't think the shot next generation in the sixteen by nine, though, which is unfortunate. I don't believe that's true. Anyway, games were
we talking about? Yeah, I didn't favorite Star Trek. I didn't play a ton of stuff. I played a little bit of star Craft by day and a whole bunch of Dead Space two by night. A still can't say an there's still pretty heavily embargo it on dead Space. I don't. I don't. I don't think EA will mind too much if I say that game is really, really good. Alright, I doubt it. Real quick question, what does your mom think of it? I didn't show it too yet.
Okayably, apparently a bunch of EA moms are not thrilled with it. I asked, it's an ad campaign. Yeah, I know, we know, But were those moms all from the Velment team? Because I thought I saw Dino saying, well, I know, I know Dino did that. She was just mom, but I don't know if if that was tied into it or not. I think he just saw the campaign, thought oh, heal himself. He had his did his niece do it? I assumed had his niece show his mom some footage from Dead Space too. Okay, I
just saw what he said on Twitter. I didn't actually look, so his mom is not in the action. I don't don't. I don't know either way. Okay, Anyway, interesting ad campaign for that one. Some messed up stuff in that game. There's some really messed up stuff. Is it
like that game good creatively messed up? Because that was my problem with with I wish I could Don's Inferno was I felt like you can say yes or no. The specifics of the embargo are chapters two and three, So all I can say specifically about anything has to come from those chapters, and most of the easiest stuff is not in those Is it better than fucking demon babies? I think you can qualify that with a yes or no. I don't know how to intail. I don't know if I can talk around the embargo
enough to answer the tu Yeah, we'll talk. We'll talk at length. Well, you're playing it, you're like you'll recall the the infant like enemies in the first game. No, you don't play like somebody played. I played. I played. There were baby necromorphs in the first game. There are different kinds of baby necromorphs in this. It's pretty messed up. Probably the I think maybe the biggest strength of that game is the first game was
all on that ship. Yeah, and it was just all one industrial environment after another because it was just an industrial mining ship. Like this is a city, right, It's a space station, but it's a city, right, Like they have civilian there are significant like civilian residential areas and all the things that you would expect to go along with like families living on a space
station right, right. So it's Aliens now meets the event horizon aesthetic of the first game because you're in that you're in that space space station, like that's inhabited by families and stuff. There's some definite event horizon kind of stuff. Yeah, going on with Like well, there wasn't the first game for sure, weird space supernatural stuff. Yeah, yeah, it's an all an
extension of that. But anyway, I mean in that setting, they they they take you for much greater range of places to fight these awful things. That's cool. So how is Sam Neil? And it's pretty good bes so beautiful. It would be great if he was in there. I want to just go home and keep playing that fair enough. I watch Event Horizon here play Dead Space. I think I'm gonna go back and play this Space one after this. It creeped me out too much. I honestly couldn't play through
it. H Yeah, so yeah, that's h people are weird. Would I wouldn't have finished. I would have finished that Space two buno if I weren't only playing it at night. Yeah, but like you got sun glaring through the window and stuff, like, you can't play that game. It's like everything is so dark on the TV. You'll get some blackout curtains. Yeah, well you have some, don't you like my bed room where the TV is group. I don't know. I think Dead Space two is is
a game meant to be played in the bedroom. You that's gross? Yeah, what are you saying? You know what I'm saying. Yes, it is, it is very I don't I know where you're coming from. I had to stop last night for a little bit and like walk I have that horror games and I just can't do it with what horror games. I just games that intense. I just can't deal with that horror movies. I'm fine. I don't mind sitting through the most gorious, nastiest jump scary heavy ship.
It is super It is super like startle heavy jump scares. Yeah, but with games like the fact that I'm engaging that stuff and I'm actually like the one walking through it and like making things happen. I don't want to do it. I don't want to I'm gonna watch her walk down this hall and something's gonna jump out, Like yeah, fuck, I have to walk down this hall myself. I don't want to do I don't want to do it. Yeah, I can't say, because they're in chapters two and three,
plenty of Yeah, a lot of monster closets. Yeah, like straight up Doom three style, Like you go and look at where the monster came from, and it's like a tiny little box just big enough to hold the monster. I understand. I understand you like Debt Space two so far, but when you can describe any part of it as Doom three, like that doesn't if you don't scrutinize The only reason I scrutinized that stuff because I'm reviewing, right, Like if you're just playing through it and taking all of the
scripted stuff for what it is, like it's it's very effective. Cool. Some monster design better or worse than Doom three, very similar, like a lot of yeah, you know what, I I thought the monsters in the first Debt Space were kind of cheesy, like those anything those designs or a lot of the designs. Some of them are are good, some of them are kind of adolescent, right, you know, yeah something it is like metal head sketch book. Yeah, totally, like a lot of like human
faces just slapped onto these awful things. John Romero's face. Man, I've been hitting in there somewhere, I know, but it is John loves dead Space, right. I didn't play it, Tony. Your mom might not like it, but John Romero is going to make a dead Space to his bitch you. But my mom loves John Romero. Think about it. Totally playing that game in the bedroom because you're your mom a young Romanian woman. No, sat sadly for both my mom and John Romero. My mom is
not looking for a passport. Okay, so I didn't get to play a ton of games over the weekend. I uh, well, did you not get to or just choose not to? I was just doing other stuff. Yeah, it was good. That was kind of my my things. Doing other stuff fucking went like food shopping, which I hadn't done in like two months. So my house was just awful barren. You're down to eating bacos at this point. Yeah, it was just like he's down to start with.
Like, here's some year old cans of soup that I think I could probably still eat. I don't know soup is for fallout shelters. Of course, it's still good. I've got this jar of peanuts I have in this baking soda man. That that big tinted peanuts that Shelby sense I cracked that when I ran out of food in my house. Past peanuts are probably the best peanuts of it. So thank you. Card to the State of Virginia,
much much love to the Bonnie Clan Christmas gift. Just it's funny because it's just like it's not a fancy package, Like this's a big old fucking can of peanuts. You're like, yeah, all right, sure, I like peanuts, and you start getting internet. These are how do you argue with that? Fantastic? These are fantastic peanuts. My girlfriend made a bunch of kung pound chicken with those peanuts. Oh my god, yes, so good. I might I might see about making some peanut brittle with those peanuts.
Probably be pretty good too. I'm just gonna eat those peanuts. That's just what I'm I don't I don't know. I have no interest in food craft. I just want to eat these peanuts. But those peanuts saved my ass over the Christmas break. Yeah, that was how little food I have, Like, oh, thank god there's peanuts. Uh So that was good oil change, haircut, just all sorts of taking care of the functional weekend, a high functioning weekend. I went and visited my mom, all sorts
of shit like that, and then you know, Star Trek. So, so your weekend was the polar opposite of my weekend where I literally I didn't even put on pants until Monday when I had to go to Anton. I say night and I went out food shopping, then up Saturday morning and nice
and early. Yeah, I did all sorts of stuff, unbelievable. I did find just a little bit of time to play some some Fallout New Vegas Dead Money, which is the I really don't care for it, but really really they really and it sucks because I kind of like, so I played through New Vegas and then I you know, rolled back to an earlier save
to kind of do my my splinter endings thing. But then after I did all that stuff, I'm like, Okay, I want to go back and I kind of have like what I what I consider my my core play through, so I want to use that to then go and do the DLC and whatever other stuff they put out. So now I'm fucking trapped in the Dead Money DLC because it's it's a lot like a lot of the the Fought three,
Yeah, where it takes you to it. Well, it's it's even more like fucking Operation Anchorage, where it's like you're going to a different place, stripping you of all of your equipment, stripping you of all of your like teammates and all the other ship that they do with story. Wow, I'm gonna tell you to play it. There's no way I'll ever play that time. And you're fine because it's it's a real it's a real bummer.
But anyway, so now now I my save is there, it's like I have to play through that before I can get back to any of the New Vegas stuff. And it's combat heavy with a focus on like stealth and traps.
So it's it's like your favorite parts of the Fallout experience, Like combat is already not what I like about Fallout and to make this that focus, and then you have these enemies that are ghost people that are very difficult to kill, but you have super limited AMMO and it's mostly melee stuff, and so it's like melee and stealth and traps are three specific way wait, wait are they ghost traps that I never put No, they're like bear traps,
like people traps. Those are like three things that I very specifically never put a single point into playing New Vegas. So like it's just it's this fucking slog to grind through all this stuff. Now I feel like they learned zero lessons from how the DLC should go from from Fallout. It is there's some decent character stuff in there too, and there's like promise in the setting,
but they didn't do a good job. I mean on the third DLC for this could very well, you know, extend the ending again, open it back up, but it's not even it's not even that, it's not even the like like, I still think that it would be better if if they let you. And New Vegas is different enough whatever to that part, but it's it's more of learning the lesson of make this story and character focused,
not like super combat focused. Part of what makes New Vegas like for me, more fun to play is having it's easier to get a full team of dudes running around with you, and they're a lot more effective. So I barely fought playing New Vegas like I didn't. I did not participate in a lot of combat because my guys would take care of it for me because they were so fucking effective. I wonder if it's easier for a production angle to do a combat focus thing, probably as opposed to you know, you don't.
You don't need a whole bunch of new writing, you don't have to get a whole bunch of new voice actors together. I mean, there's a lot of stuff is still in there for for dead money. It's just that they also pair it. They make you slog through a bunch of unappealing combat scenarios. So there's that. I played a little bit of d You Hear It Too? Just struck me. I was like, Hey, did you hear it too? I liked that game a lot. I played some more
of that. Yeah, you get you guys, Having having played so much Fallout, do you feel like you can go back to Elder Scrolls when when Skyrim comes out, Like, yeah, certainly, yeah, though that there's no speed trees, maybe kind of a bummer, like you can do without the guns though and all that stuff like spells are like guns for your mind. I guess, I guess I mind ends. Yeah, I use a lot of vats. Yeah, so not having that will make it a different
experience. They should just put fast. I mean, I'm wondering. I'm almost wondering if they'll end up doing that. I don't you know what. I don't even need there to be like a in fiction justification for that. It's just like this is how you do turn magic time. Yeah, yeah, vats. I mean they are rolling perks and stuff like that, like setting change. I don't think I'll have much much. I thought you were gonna say go back to Elder scrolls for let's just say, no fucking way.
You mean Oblivion? Yeah, oh no, no, I just meant fantasy in general, Like you go back to a fantasy style game with with these kinds of mechanics. Sure it's good. I mean Oblivion was awesome, so you know again, like it's the it's the storytelling in the characters. This one's got Vikings. That's that's more interesting. It's got maxifon side out. Great. I liked I liked it when it had Patrick Stewart in it. Yeah, that was pretty good. I like everything with Patrick Stewart in
it. I even like I like those National Rental cars. I liked him. In Castlevania, Captain Cart tells you to kill him. Man, I'll do it, time and place, I'll be there. What if it's Jonathan Frakes, I would actually, you know what that assumes that you could kill Frakes. That big assumption to make. All that dude has to do is shoulder charge you and you are dead. He's a good tank. Yeah,
sucks it up. In my Star Trek RPG, Jonathan Frakes is the tank my Star Trek rpg A right, they already made that has has any of your DC universe online time? Jeff inspired you to check back out on Star Trek Not really, it's if anything, it's inspired me to download Champions onlines and stuff that went free to play right around the same time. Did you start that? No? No, noll no downloaded it? No, I didn't even I didn't even do that. I thought, oh, maybe I
should play Champions. I went, wait, maybe I shouldn't anyone. Yeah. Then I kind of made like loose air noises from my mouth for a while and then thought, man, can't wait till a little big planet two gets here? And now it's here, so saving my life? All right? You guys want to talk about other stuff? Okay? Yeah, tell like other things? Yeah, what is this? You need need to consess us? Here is what is this? Democracy? I just want to I just want to make sure everyone's in before we move on. I play a
little Big Planet too for like twenty minutes, and it's awesome. Is that is that awesome? It's still good? It's awesome. Did you do any weird user generated stuff played justin Calvert's linar Landard level? How is it a little tough. Land is pretty tough. Yeah, you adapt it to the little big planet physics, it's probably I actually think that linear lander physics are probably pretty comparable to the little big planet I thought, And then no,
okay, not they're they're differently floaty. Yeah, okay, because you can't. You gotta be so slow when you touch down. Touching down is not the difficult part of this. Staying up is getting up. I spent a good chunk of the weekend looking at trying to decide if I wanted to play Getting Up. We talked about that in the car last week. What was it that inspired thought? We start talking about the collective? What would you
play Getting Up on? At this point I was looking for to see if I had the PC version or if it was available for sale from any touch sort of digital retailer. But it seems like it is not the case. So is that one of those Xbox downloads. I don't think it's a download. No, I mean I have the disc for Xbox, but I don't think it runs on the three sixty. Yeah, so I would have to hook up an actual Xbox an. I've got like three actual Xbox I just
I don't know that any of them work. I've got an actual working Xbox mm. Let's putting that out there, all right, let's uh we move on to a little a spot of news gentlemen. Here there is Yeah, I heard a few things about some stuff. Hey, what have you been? What is he saying? Saying? Final Fantasy thirteen two? That's true?
That is That is my top story I have here breaking news. Final Fantasy thirteen two is coming next winter from Square Innis It was like last week or something some trademark site, trademark like URL registrations got out next winter, as in probably like into this year endo next year. It's this year in Japan. Okay, I think I saw next January February of for the next year. For that. Here are they are? They all in a j pop group this time. When the game starts, this lady's got sword and
there's feathers and oh good battle system and it's evolved from Phoenix down. I bet it is. Probably it's I don't know how I feel about that, because paradoxically, the combat was my favorite thing about thirteen, which is strange because I have been bored of JRPG combat for about a decade, but it was the combat was great in thirteen. It was really well designed and pretty unique. So you don't want them to change it. I don't know that.
I wouldn't say that, but I hope they don't monkey with it too much. But you're saying that there are other things that could use addressing more so than the combat system. Now, I know precious little about Final Fantasy thirteen. What is to say? I know, I know, I know precious little about Final Fantasy. What I know is that a lot of people did not really like it that much, with some people being very vocal about how much they did like it. But I've seen a lot of people like
rolling their eyes in unison at this announcement that was strong points. I mean, I feel like we've kind of kicked that horse to death. Yeah point, Okay, everybody knows sort of. Well, I'm just I'm asking for my own reference. I mean it it was too long, it was too long winded. It just too long to get going and let you actually have fun playing the game. Okay, and now they're making another one. This seemed like the case of they spend a lot of money generating assets and yes
they're going to fucking it. Well, didn't it? But not like great? I don't know what the final tally was. Yeah, I'm sure it did fun. I just I know the budget for that game was like supremely overblown compared to what a lot like most other arts ever are, it was
a long development cycle. Yeah, yes, absolutely seems like they are trying to capitalize on the work that has already been done sensible, but at the same time, you know, there's a lot of room for improvement, and I think, like like Alex said, people were pretty vocal about what they didn't like about it, and I think they actually saw somewhere in a story
they are saying, we are looking at feedback and improving it. So if it's like if it's like thirty hours and there's more expiration and stuff like cool, well I'm on board. What does what does this do to what was it? Versus? So there's a whole new trailer or a bunch of new footage of verses thirteen out there also, which has actual game playing it.
Yeah, as far as I know, maybe I'm wrong, it's the first time I have seen first time, Yeah, it looks kind of amazing from a just a sheer like quality of CGI perspective, and just the way that the endgame stuff looked. I thought it looked like really unique for that type of game. But also, yeah, I thought it looked like it could be actually be fun as you know, like this kind of character action game with some smart trappings around it. Or looked at it and I was just
like, oh, you're making definitely cry. But then if you look at the bottom, there's like a party kind of read out like character portraits. I love fighting in Magic Fleet. He's the greatest bass player of all. Yeah, he's He was great in the Chase Getting whatever game. Also also the greatest boss in Coronic Sugar. Yeah, he's pretty good. I watched the Chase. I was talking to someone because you watched the Chase. I was talking to someone about Christy Swanson and h ray Wise rarely been horror in
that movie. Yeah, yeah, you're right. And also this is an incredible movie. It's really good, really, it really is. Henry Rawlins was absolutely born to play a cop. Yep, oh yeah, like a really agro cop. Yeah, it's perfect, just total asshole jar head cop like power tripping. I had forgotten what a sort of I mean, very blunt but at the same time amusing commentary that movie was on TV news.
Yeah, uh, there's it is. I think I had sort of willfully ignored that as a kid, because I just I had seen Car Chase, funny Anthony Keytis. But yeah, no, shockingly, shockingly well done. That movie House incredible. Oh yeah, I don't even mean that movie. I just mean ray Wise is incredible. He is incredible in the Chase. He is also incredible. I would love to see him and was it Christopher McDonald Shary McGavin. I would love to see them play brothers in a movie,
Evil brothers. They're also a thirteen, a geto, a geeto. Yeah, they just renamed that too something. Okay, I can't remember, but that's still happening. That's still a separate thing. It is they made. They made all the initial thirteen announcements like a decade again, was that even one of them? Though? Yeah, it was like the whole like Fabula Nova, crystalis is like this. I remember the Versus is like like like kind of binding universe thing, like we're putting out thirteen in a million
different ways. But now I'm really confused because I thought Versus thirteen was supposed to take place in the same world, but that footage is in like this kind of realistic modern setting, like in this urban area, like looks like Tokyo or something. This is just awesome. That could just as easily be some other part of and A. And also this is a small subset of that game. Who knows where else it goes. But I thought they were like people in tuxedos and stuff. Yeah, yeah, they don't have tuxedos
in the future. I don't know, I mean Japanese fruities future. Yeah, I mean thirteen proper has a pretty specific esthetic to it doesn't look like that stuff would fit into and then Aguito or whatever. Yeah. I think started as a mobile game, right, that's that sounds right. I think it was a phone game to begin with in Japan, and then it transitioned also to PSP, yeah, I believe, And now it has been renamed. I don't think thirteen actually appears in the title anymore. Okay, it's
I think it's got a zero in the title. Now, well we'll get is that that duodecam No, that's the city is too, okay, making another deity? Yeah, I guess the city was pretty popular. I guess that one, Yeah, I guess I could see that one selling pretty well, but virtual on. But with Sefirof, I don't want to say the like deeply to a very specific segments two things I kind of dislike mashed together
awesome, not not necessary for you. Yeah, but the only real new thing here right now is Final Fantasy thirteen two has been an hour and you know, if they fixed what was wrong, busted on it, that could be kind of cool, although obviously they did not and take a fucking break, and it just makes it even crazier, like they took the time to announce all these Final Fantasy thirteen games and then that wasn't enough, like we need one more, No, we need one more this, this, and
they still haven't. They still haven't put out yeah, exactly exactly, and they did those announcements a long time ago. It's it's and and also Final Fantasy fourteen is still technically out, so when his Final Fantasy fourteen two coming that that came out when they fired all the original staff, Yeah, it's it's being worked on right now, I mean, or do they just like
to take them off the project? And there was a lot of like stepping down and leaving the honor of my family calling on this sword somewhere all Japan. Right, oh, man, when did they announce S fifteen? Didn't they already do they? Can you go that h XV man, that's powerful looking. You have clean numbers. You have to the Final Fantasy feel exclusively on the Xbox, Right? Yeah? At that point? Why not? I don't know, kid? Can you can you ever bread? Do you
think you can ever get Final Fantasy back to where Final Fantasy was? I don't like was like when though, like what final what part of Final Fantasy do you want to get back to? It feels? I mean as far as like the three eras are gonna be your snest era, your plays one era, yeah, and your PS two, Like do you want four, seven or ten? I just relevant. Those were the three times when I feel like it was more than just like. I'm not just saying like,
oh I want more spiky hair or I like Knights and Red Mages. I'm just saying those were times when Final Fantasy was at the forefront one of the most popular, influential, and important fucking franchises out there in video games. It hasn't been that way since ten. The last one I loved unconditionally was six, So I don't know if I'm the best person to answer that question,
what were your conditions on seven? Just because I know how everyone revers that game, which I've never played, I seem to remember being it being a little clunky. I mean, you know, it was their first try and riety game and all that CG and stuff like. There was a lot of kind of weirdly put together aspects of that game. Fixed camera angles, pre rendered background, yeah, all that stuff, yes, yes, but even like down to like the aesthetics of the CG. Like some of the
CG had realistic looking characters. Other CG had like the little cheby dudes with no mouse and like the little like ball hands and stuff like super inconsistent. I didn't think the story was great, fair enough. I don't know, make a Reactors dude planet the Spirits within, Yeah, spirits with I don't wonder what that company would be like if they had never made a movie.
Can you imagine? Probably about the same, Like I don't actually fifteen should just be based on the Spirits within the retelling those yeah, those ideas would have just been made into a game. The spirits within too. I mean, I mean, like financially, for like, just regarding the fate of the company, I think that that merger, the merger with Nix was essentially like, oh god, a result of their difficulties post post movie. Right, they spent a lot of money on that movie. Maybe I'm mistaken,
but that was my impression at the time. Yeah, I don't, I mean, I don't know. I do remember hearing that it would was going really poorly for them. Yeah, after that stuff. Yeah, didn't Sony like did Sony hitch their wagon to that movie in a big way? Also? Like money wise? Possibly remember would make some sense? Yeah, you know, because it was a it was a paramount yeah production, and that in paramount is son no paramounoun Columbia, Columbia, Sony. I forget.
Maybe anyways, Fantasy thirteen two, it'll have dress orbs oh j pop. That'd be the best, the best thing that they can make it. Yeah. Uh. Some some interesting news concerning Portal two has been announced, specifically with the PS three steam stuff. I don't understand it though, does anyone else here? Cross platform play? Yeah, but then there's this other thing about all right, so there's cross platform play. Yes, that part I
get. Yeah, so what's what's the rest of it? You will take your Steam credentials and put them into the PS three version of the game, okay, which will then just pull in your Steam friends list as a separate list on the PS three or on the p S three version of Portal two more rightly, so it's not going to show up on your doubt cross media, no, probably, Like you'll put in the game and ever that stuff
so you can then chat with those people in inside of Portal two. Strangely enough, it actually spells that out in the press release, but the wording is very clear, like like within the game, you will put in your Steam stuff like they explicitly a separate Steam client or like installing Steam and basically anyone who goes through all the stuff of linking their PlayStation Network account to their Steam account will receive Portal two on the PC for free and Mac and Mac.
Yeah, they will get access to the other two versions of Portal two, which means you should buy the PS three version of Portal two. When it comes time to buy port You're gonna get one, Yeah, you might as well, unless it's way cheaper on Steam and you just have no interest in the PS three version, right, which is actually distinctly possible that it
would be cheaper on It probably would be ten dollars cheaper. That's kind of the I don't know if that constitut's way cheaper, it's probably would definitely, it's wild that game is coming to three sixty also, right, yes, yeah, I feel like yeah, like this just makes me think that this is Valve just really putting the screws to Microsoft with like, come played by
our rules, or we are just going to completely shut you out. Like yeah, technically we're gonna make a three sixty version, but we're gonna make it so enticing to play either the PC or PS three versions, because they'll get the updates the post release that the three sixty one we'll have to jump through all those hoops to get right and all that sort of we pay for right, well, for patches and stuff, and I'm saying for contact.
Yeah, but even even for patches like PS three will get them damn date presumably with PC, whereas the Xbox patches have to go through certain all that stuff. I see myself just getting the PC version as much as I enjoyed playing Portal on the on the three sixty, but I will probably just get the PC version. Games are made to be played on the PC as far
as I'm concerning, So I'm with you on that. But I mean, I really like the three sixty version of Orange Box like that was you know, I I don't have a problem playing them like that, but you know it was better. Yeah, But there's just the issue of the way Valve valves post release support methods. Yeah, And you know, and I canna
understand it being tricky. I can understand those happen to be like very slow going negotiations of you know, Valve coming in and saying, hey, we want you to give up a great deal of the control you have over your platform to us so that we can push out updates whenever we wants, go through your quality assurance process bypass all of the stuff you put in place to make sure everything works. Also as holders of a competing yes, yeah,
as people that yeah, exactly. I mean it's essentially like them walking into the room and just saying, hey, we want to be treated specially yeah, which I guess arguably they have the cloud to do at this point. That's funny thing is like not on consoles though, it's kind of weird that, you know, and and this move doesn't, like all of a sudden, make them huge on the on the on the p S three if if anything, all this really does is get them a lot more customers on Steam.
If someone buys the p S three version of the game and then they get that for free, why wouldn't they go like, oh, I guess I'll go sign up for a Steam account so I can be you know, so I can tie into all these pss I wonder if people. So it gets them a bigger database of users. It makes Steam bigger like that that to me, So it seems like they play That's why they're giving out free copies of these versions of Portal two, which is the same reason like they
gave away Portal for free on Steam last year. Yeah, get people to sign up. It's like just another awesome and insane thing Valve is doing because they can. However, given the recent developments in PS three security, Yeah, if Valve gets fact working well yeah on the PS three yeah, like that could be that could be key. That could be a significant develop If third third parties, it seems like are going to be in need of some
better protection from cheats and hacks and that sort of stuff. I don't know if you saw this stuff, but Modern Warfare two apparent it's actually I guess it's been a best for a while. Yeah, but the recent news of the PlayStation platform being kind of cracked wide open, or in the process of
getting cracked wide open, it's certainly not helping. Like the headlines that we're going around about Modern Warfare two years today, we're well, it's because Robert Bowling was on Twitter saying we are not updating the game because of this, which is it all. I get where they're coming from, right, But at the same time, they should just say that's an old game. We're
working on something else, Like come on, don't be crazy. But I mean, anytime you throw around the world unplayable like that, yeah, like it's it's kind of like a sky is falling elements. The thing is is that it also happens without three to sixty. It's just a harder process because people have to have hardware modified three sixties to do that stuff. And it's not it is not the but I mean easy process. I also get where,
like I get where they're coming from. Where where they say like, look, we yes, we are aware there are all these others, these other issues that pre date yeah, and they could fix those, but at this point, with that, with the security and the state that it is, it would be relatively trivial for someone else to find a new way to rip that game open again, So it's probably not worth their time to go
and fix it. Also, probably you know, third of three in their platforms for volume of players, yep, between Yeah, for sure, certainly, that's that's definitely. I mean, you can see Sony being super willing to be flexible with them purely because of the way they got the shaft on the Orange Box, Like they're probably gonna bend over backward at this point to get the next Valve game on their system, like in a really great and non shitty form. Well maybe at the Orange Box they got and it was
really bad and then they just wasn't it was a third party port. Valve had nothing to do with the PS three version. But to Jeff's point, I don't know that Valve still, you know, carries that much fucking water on the p S three. I think they have to do stuff like say, you'll get this PC version all this other crazy shit, if you buy it on the p S three. They have to incentivize it with the cloud that they have on the on the PC, which makes like the PCPs three
connection seem less crazy. It's like that's why they're doing it in part and again, you know, more more users signing up only only helps Steam. But with the state of the PlayStation three is never fuckers those guys at Valve,
they're they're diabolical. God damn it. With the state of the PlayStation three security being what it is, if they could yeah what you were saying, if they could get VAC running and actually create that as a good middleware platform for uh other developers that want to secure their PlayStation three games from this ongoing menace, Like there's probably money to be made in the anti cheat middleware that provides all PS three security sport. That's that's seems like a possible future
at all, but at least one workable. But then suddenly the back is perfect. But suddenly have a bunch of PS three games that aren't produced by Valve that feature Steam right for the VAC. Yeah, I think that could. I think I think that's that's POSSI if it came down to if it came down to either like license that or invest a bunch of your own resources into anti cheating measures, right, you can see it happening. Yeah,
Jeff, what is the state of PS three security? I want to talk about this and it's it's uh. I mean we did talk about some of it last week. Yea, as has the state change, Danny, they are advancing, they are, you know, it's the stuff that was originally released was done so uh without the ability to easily pirate stuff. But that just seems like kind of a facade to me, and that stuff is kind of rapidly falling the level two security or whatever it is. You know that
the stuff has been released that is actually breaking PlayStation threes. So if you're out there thinking about like hey, I want to run this custom from where and do you know even just to place nest games or something like that, like it's because it does not all safe, because it doesn't work right, or because they're maliciously disguised because it's because it doesn't work right. I think it is the case. I don't I don't think. I don't think anyone's
out there breaking PS three is on purpose. But who can say that could just as easily be the case, but I don't think that's the case.
I'm gonna be interested in in kind of talking to developers over the next few weeks where we're gonna get a chance to talk to a grip of them and uh yeah, see kind of what what their take is on this stuff, because it seems like something where Sony has the ability or the potential to regain control of at least the online environment and prevent people with modified systems from getting
online and ruining online games. But don't We don't know that for sure, and I think that's gonna be kind of game by game for now until Sony does do something about it. They've they've been saying, you know, hey, we are aware we have a fixtion the works, but because it's related to security, we cannot give details because that would just be playing into their
hands and giving them info about what we're changing. But I think at you know, this at least creates the similar environment to what you saw on the PSP where there were people just releasing custom firmwares and then updating those. You know, so Sony would release an update to the official firmware and you need that to get on the store and then you need that to get online.
Yeah, so it kind of shuts out all the people with the older hacked firmware from from getting online at all, and then you would see you know, updated custom firmwares based on the these new revisions coming out to enable hackers and pirates and stuff like that to potentially get back online on the PSP.
So I think that is likely to happen in the future. I think what needs to happen is Sony needs to be able to detect modified systems period Like, even if they're running firmware that gets past the initial initial check and can connect to the PlayStation network, they need to be able to look at a PS three and say that's not legit, get off and ban systems that basically,
you know, like like Microsoft does. They need to be able to ban at the hardware level, which I'm fairly certain they can do, it's just a matter of implementing it and stuff. But is that preferable to banning at the account level. Yeah, because the accounts are free to create, so there's nothing holding people back. I think you have to ban both. You have to ban the words and the account. You know, why why
take chances. Yeah, I mean, I guess the only count of argument is maybe that person learns their lesson, goes out and buys another PS three at actually wants to play nice. But then they then they can sign it for another account and go from there. That's you know, you take all of your PlayStation network purchases, uh into you know, you put them all
over do that sort of stuff. So that's what changed, because it seemed like they like people had kind of been kind of casually poking at the PS three for a while, but then these these codes got out here like this, the security keys got out. Yeah, I think think what changed to hear them tell it, what changed is that Sony removed the others support from
the firmware. That that was when it went to more than casual. Then it was like, well, if they're going to do that to us, let's see if we can readd it, or let's take a look at this thing so that we can do weird stuff with the PlayStation three. And yeah, to hear them tell it. To hear the some of the people responsible for the kind of initial load of information tell it it is specifically why they
went and take took a look at it. Like they were like they were getting their needs met with the basic others support and with like Okay, we can run Linux on it and do some weird stuff and kind of hack around with it and that's fun. Yeah, but pick that out. But they took it out because of a security issue. So yeah, you know, they didn't just remove it kind of out of nowhere. Sure was that confirmed? Yeah, there was some kind of was that. Yeah, people wasn't
like an excuse. It was that kind of initial thing where it's like, okay, if you put a paper clip across this bit here, or you know, some kind of initial way to get it to boot into some weird stuff, and it was through the other OS. I wish that lives. I think is what eventually led to the creation of some weird USB key that you would use for piracy. I wish I had read up more on this. I saw a theory put forth somewhere that they had plans to monetize the
other s OS feature that they failed to realize. But I don't even know what. Yeah, I don't know if that business model would have been license OSS to appear. And they feel like there are a lot of things on the p S three that perhaps were intended to be monetized at one time or another that simply did not come to fruition. So you know, that would not surprise me. But an ongoing story, Yeah, yeah, an ongoing
story. I do think that Sony will regain control, but at this point, with it open, at this state, uh, it seems like it'll be in that state where if people want to live this life of only installing hacked firmware and only updating to hacked firmware and staying off the place, they staying off of the or you know it provided that they do lock that down right, that that there will always now be a method for piracy on the PS three that they're always going to be They're always going to be able to
hack those keys out and and do you know piracy on the PS three without any kind of hardware modification. That seems like the big difference is the no hardware mod because that that makes it a lot easier for it to be casual. It's a it's a big thing that you know, people point to with the PSP when it comes to not you know, not putting their games on
PSP or kind of being indifferent about the state of PSP development. You know there are developers out that that say, like, well, you know, yeah, when I'm number seven on the top ten digital downloads list and I know that I've only sold a few hundred copies, uh, that's no good. And then if I put it out into retail stores, it just gets hacked part and pirated all over the place because that's so easy, you know. It's it's like the Dreamcast was where it's just like it just kind of
works, and that's Uh, that's bad. And I don't think the p S three is there quite yet, but who knows. By the time this goes live, could be. Well, it sounds like they may be announcing a PSP two sometime soon, yeah, or you know, acknowledging that the PSP two exists, they already did. Well, there was like there's the interviews like in the New York Times or something, or it's like, if a PSP two were to exist, that'll mean do you think there'll be a
separate thing from all this PlayStation phone? If I were to kill my wife, because those were also similar, that's a separate thing. It's a separate thing. PlayStation phone is like a Sony ericson thing, right, presumably, Yeah, and then oh right, that's right, I forgot all that separate brand line Expedia. No, what there's some experia I think is the the brand line of Sony Ericson phones the new size of Starbucks drinks. It's also
that. So that's supposedly that phone is supposedly like an Android based phone that has like basic PlayStation controls under a PSP go like Slider, PSP go like under slider. Yeah. Yeah, but the PSP two sounds like it's going to be way more powerful than any kind of Android device. I think the rumored specs of the PlayStation phone were less than PSP one. If you yeah, I think yeah, So it's just something to confuse the market with basically,
yeah, if it exists. I mean that sounds like something where where Sony Ericson has probably been like bugging Sony Computer Entertainment for a long time, saying let us leverage the PlayStation brand, and they said, no, get your filthy ass phonemits off of our brandy. And then at some point someone said, all right, fine, stay away from me Scandinavia. Fine you can, you can muddy up the PlayStation brand with your stupid phone. Yeah,
I don't know uh. People are saying the twenty seventh seventh for PSP two in the some sort of announcements the day after the Japanese launch of the three DS. Wait, I thought three DS was in February. Yeah, I'm saying February. February twenty six, January twenty seven. Thought, I thought the announcement was supposed to be this morn pretty all right, Okay,
so a month before then that would make some good marketing sense. Yeah, okay, that's what that's the rumor anyway, right right, right right from anonymous sources. Yeah, sorry, anonymous, Yeah, we'll see. Yeah. Then PSP two supposedly has touch screen on the front and then touch sense to the grips on the back, and two cameras and all kinds of fucking crazy shit. So if all that turns out to be true, that thing could be bananas. Let's see somewhere. If people are saying like almost powerful
as PS three, that's yeah, that's kind of what they're saying. But it seems a touch ludicrous. Maybe seems a little I think you maybe have because the smaller screen and that sort of stuff, maybe you could have games that if you looked at them for in a couple of seconds, you would like it that looks like a PS three game, But if you stare at them longer, you go but it's not. I'm a little disappointed in you,
Brad. What I feel like like we've all gone through enough hardware launches to know better than to than to even acknowledge whenever someone says like this is like a Pixar movie, or it's as powerful as a thing that's different that that's qualitative versus quantitative specifications. Like if you say, but this is almost as powerful as a p S three and you can look at like clock speed and amount of memory, and like, I don't know. I don't think
people are doing that based off the specs. I think people are saying, like we can make the gamest good. I don't. I don't know that it's necessarily specs related, all right, So I just feel like there's enough of that that bullshit gets every time that's like, you know what, I'll go see it myself and then I'll fucking decide if it looks good or not, and That'll be enough. Sure, I think that thing could be awesome if all the rumors about what it supposedly is turn out to be true.
It at least solves the problem of just being a portable console thing. If they start to do different stuff and take advantage of the kind of control schemes and and and camera stuff like, it's it's kind of a crazy fucking time to put out a new handheld yea though, I mean, but I mean, you know, I guess Sony kind of has to at a certain point. I mean, Nintendo's putting one out and the PSP is, Yeah,
the PSP is is a non factor. Yeah, but just it's I feel like the chunks that that phones have been taking out of that portable handheld market, it's it's made that market weirder than it's ever been. It's weird because I actually found myself for as much as I don't really like the games that have appeared on it, Windows Phone seven is the most sensible portable strategy of any of the console manufacturers in a way, it at least plays to the
strengths of the realities of the market of like smartphones are blowing up. Yeah, some of those games are making a lot of money, and Microsoft is the only one there in a meaningful way from the console manufacturers. I mean, you know that thing is, you know, second to the iPhone if that Yeah, well, from messing around with that phone for for a good long time, I would say I would prefer it to Android. But it does not replace my phone at all. No second to it in terms of
like your preference. Yeah, okay, Yeah, And you know, I think the interface so I don't know. I just think it's it's an easier to use thing. And you know that they do a good job with the
game stuff. Yeah. I think it's interesting that they're kind of the only ones kind of playing to where that market's going, whereas Nintendo and presumably assumingly Sony are are chasing after the let's make it crazy, let's make it three D without glasses, or let's make it so you touch it, and well, let's make it crazy has been like Nintendo's winning formula for Yeah, it's
been part of a decade, the first half of it. The second half has to be like you have to deliver on software, the text advantage of those stuff. Yeah, and they're clearly not going to be the people to make a good phone, so you would buy Nintendo phone. No, you have to put punch in people's friend codes to call them your your phone number is unique to this phone? Yeah, all right, what else is going on? What? Actually? Those are kind of the big things. Gears
were triple pack announce, which is the worst name. I just like, I'm only mentioning this, uh, specifically because I think it's it's pretty profoundly misleading. With the Gears of War triple pack, you get three separate and equal things in this thing. You get Gears of War, Gears of War two, and Gears of War All Fronts Pack. Which does that come on a disc? Is there three? Is there three discs in the pack?
Like, that's the only thing I think they can Because they did the Halo triple pack of one, two and the two Matt pack back in the day. There is precedent. There is some sort of precedent for them doing this. But at least you could look at the box and go, there are three discs there, and that that made some sort of sense, uh, But selling DLC I don't. That's the part where I'm like, what do they ever sell that thing on a disc? I think they did well.
I know they put out like a Game of the Year edition or whatever of Gears two that had all the DLC with it. I don't know if it was a disc. It could just been a code for the download. Yeah, I don't know if they've put it all on the disc or yeah, if you have to download that DLC all fro us is the one with the little sing single player episode kind of thing. Yeah, where you put on the stupid cost. Yeah, what wasn't nothing like ten bucks to begin with
something like that? Yeah, this is this is all the audio for all every Yeah. Yeah, I'm just I'm just going back to the name again. Like this, this originally ten dollars piece of DLC is somehow the third pillar of this triple pack. I think it kind of represents because they put like all the gears to DLC on there. Yeah. But other than that, it's just map packs, right, Yeah, like nineteen maps. It's pretty good. It's not an insubstantial Here's the thing. I don't think it's
a bad value at all. I think the naming is just misleading. It's just the name. Yeah, the name is. It's terrible. But I'm trying to like figure out why it was less terrible when they did the Halo thing. I think it's because there was three discs there. If they put this out. If they put this out and there are three discs there, then maybe it will seem less crazy. But I don't I don't know how they plan to offer it. Brad. Any opinions on the most recent StarCraft
two patch, how is that? Chat rock? In your world? Chat rooms are kind of cool the one two. Yeah, at one point two there is a sometimes thriving giant Bomb channel going so like regular asks, like not game related chat room chat. Yeah, it's just kind of like an
IRC channel, really taking it back to original StarCraft style. Not exactly, because old StarCraft, when you signed up the battle neet, you were immediately in just like this awful general chat full of people spamming and like trying to get you to join their big big game Hunters game and stuff like that.
But there's no core embedded chat room in this. There are pre made like Blizzard channels that you can join, but you can also make your own, but they exist as just a little pop up chat windows, just like the kind of instant messaging stuff before, so it's kind of less less intrusive. I guess does it work cross game That's a good question. I don't know. I wonder if that stuff works on Wow, I don't know. I
doubt it. I doubt it. I think the coolest thing about it is that it ato it makes you ought to rejoin channels you were in when when you quit last time, so you can't have that constant social thing that you didn't have before. Yeah. Yeah, like like when I signed into the game. Now it just popped me right into the gia bomb channel and it was crazy that there were Saturday afternoon, I got in there and there were
some pretty big name pros in the jai bomb channel. Nice Machine was in there in control, who was probably the best known EG guy Okay, short of short of Hydra whatever. It's a bunch of a bunch of names you guys won't care about. But there were a bunch of weird It was weird. There were a bunch of actual recognizable pros in the jaia Bomb channel and then they all quit and then I saw you join them, and then we'll
know. Actually, then somebody in there was telling me there's an issue with chat system at the moment where if you send somebody an invite and they don't decline it and auto joins them to the channel, for somebody just invited all those guys. Wow, yeah, that was my understanding. Sorry guys, so they'll never come back ever. Sorry to Machine and cracker Jack, Silly Putty, Sleep Sleeky ninety nine, Kunk stabbed the Bishop Staircase Jam Death Rattle.
Uh you know what, you know what, my new favorite with the k my new favorite player ID. And this guy's been around for a while so it's nothing new, but his name is the best. I just thought about it. I was watching one of his matches over the weekend and I thought about it for a minute. I'm thought about it for a minute and I was just like fuck yeah, like right there to the point, you
know what, there's actually there's another guy whose ID is MVP. You should He's just a big change name to the best junior or the best to the best est, miss the best. The weirdest part is that the team he is on is called foe you. So his name when they spell the whole thing out and say it is the best, you great, I'm saying, like the best is great until you know when whenever he loses. Yeah, he's he's been kind of a middle tier player and it's the worst into a
corner and there, yeah, yeah, if you can't. If you can't play to those levels, it's gonna be a problem. But anything it hasn't thrown off your your balance. It has I've actually been losing a lot because I've been trying to exploit the changes that they made throwing off I'm just messing around and seeing what I can do with Like sure, certain certain units got cheaper or fastered makes so I've been trying some stuff with those and hasn't been
paying off. How's the master because I'm not good at that stuff. That's my only experience with it is that I viewed the profile of all those guys that were in the channel, and they're all in the Master League. I got to see what that icon looks like, the profile word. But that's about it. Cool. I have a piece of news that I like to throw out here real quick, something that is breaking that Jeff will be very
excite at it. About all right, that's happening? Uh, macho man Randy Savage, Okay, coming to w w E All Stars great, which I assume that you this is only relevant the sense that macho man Ray Savage hates the ww He's gonna say this is Does this represent the end of a decades long feud. It seems that way because him and vinscent Man hate each other and for years, that's why he never appeared in like the SmackDown games
or anything else. Yeah, yeah, and now the Legends of Yeah, and now he's in and uh. In this video that has appeared on the internet, he is looking an awful lot like biker Santa Clause these days. It was kind of messed up. What I don't want to turn that around. I don't want to see Yeah, yeah, I've seen some recent photos. I want to see that. It's kind of it's kind of messed up. But yeah, it was white. That's a good beard. I like
that. So no, he because he used to because when he was like independent pre ww F, he had a huge it was a white it was not. It was also like thirty five years ago. I can't accept him being that old. It was. It seems like not that long ago. He was rapping, But I can't imagine a dude that looks like that rapping. But I feel like he was all I don't know, I felt like he was always old. Who does the best poet man here? I don't know. Probably I don't do it, but I do I do a pretty
good bad Oh yeah, like that nailed it. Yeah it was I'm not even gonna try to get the best worst what I was looking for Stepan Muslim, I did it. Yeah. It booms all teas and DLC characters for Mortal Kombat on Twitter. Yeah, he was asking people which which guy they'd like to see then listening like Rain and Shannock and chanak uh Robo Smoke was one of them. Robots Smoke Hue. That's no, Hue was not one of them. There are no there was like there was like five Hue.
It seems I hate you. Most of the people I were in my feed that also fallow ed Boone. We're saying Rain, Yeah, I think Rain's the good. I don't know, do you need another Ninja? Well? Rain was weird. When when they did make Rain playable in like the home versions of Ultimate or something like that, it was he was the one that had a weird control orb or something where you'd hit the guy with it and then you could move him over towards you. That just seemed he was a
very lazy. It seemed like a character that they were like, well, what can we what can we do? What else is there to do. Let's do this almost a game breaking thing. Yeah, so I really just hacked in. I guess. I guess to be fair since the era of the palette swap, like they've differentiated, the ninja is a lot better from each other, So I guess that could be cool. And she not just kind of morphed without morphing into guys. So it's it's not robots. They've
got shank sung robots smoke blues. Yeah, I think I think robots when you say smoke these days, or are we talking robot well, he specifically
said robot smoke. I think human smoke is probably in the game, yeah or something, so robo Smoke would be a specifically different character the world, I believe only in it was a trilogy that you could play regular smoke versus robot Smoker was no, no, it was human Smoke was in Ultimate That's right, Like you had to hold weird directions controller to do it, but yeah you could do it, and human smoke fucking savage. Yeah, game
like yeah, insane. Remember you get online on the Xbox, it's like everyone's just picking human smoke and they are raw and I don't want to play it. Anymore. Also, there are people that bought that game a long time ago, well balanced game raw, they are raw. That game is out in like three months, guys. The game is out in April. The Mortal Kombat. The Mortal Kombat. There's a lot of games coming out in the next three or four months. I don't know if you noticed.
Wait, which Mortal Kombat. The the Yeah, Mortal Kombat. The combat that that that's short from last year got picked up. I didn't see that stuff with So it's now a web series. So they are going to continue making They're gonna make ten of them or something as part of a web series. It's going to focus on Michael Ji White as Jack's great good give that thing a life, because because last time they focused on Jack's it went so well. I just wondered to what end, Like are they building up to
a movie or this thing? It was just like they realized that thing was awesome and people would watch it. I don't know, or I mean, continue getting the Mortal Kombat name in people's mouths right now, like even if it isn't directly connected to how they're doing the game, Like that's just that's helpful. I don't know. What they should do. They should release updated
remix of the first three Mortal Kombat games. That'll never happen. Yeah, but but this is great because like, ultimately, I I guess no one really wants I don't I don't want what those Mortal Kombat, what that More Combat short was in a video game. I just want more of that in that format. Yeah, so yeah, just make another, you know, make a string of those things in a web video format. That'd be great. Can web series be profitable into themselves these days? You released them on
DVD for the facts, that's true. Yeah, I think that's pretty much how the was it. The Guild hasn't has made it skilled, and the doctor horrible whatever? Yeah, yeah, stuff like that. Yeah, you could do that just you just put it out on dec It doesn't necessarily have to be in promotion for something else, is what I mean. Yeah, this could just be its own thing. Yeah, okay, internet videos. I should not expect. I should not expect a movie at the end of
this. It's probably not. No, And yeah, yeah I don't know that. I wouldn't want to go see that movie. I wouldn't be surprised if if like talks are continuing to be ongoing about what they're going to do with another movie, because they're still but I think that ship's still so tied up in lawsuits with the producers of the Right the original movies that are assholes
whatever. So it's probably actually a good end a round of like, well, we're gonna do something into web series and that was never part of the contract before, so you have no right, no say overwhel stop us stuff. So yeah, I forgot all about that lawsuit and the basis of it. What a terrible thing, I know, what a terrible, terrible thing. Like the guy didn't even see Annihilation and he claims to have made it. He's claiming that he made more Mortal Kombat stuff than Midway did, and
his evidence is Mortal Kombat Annihilation. Shame on you. Case fucking closed. Go home, ask shame on you please, you're uh you get guys, other news you want? You know, night Wolf is working on that game with Mantra Manorandi Savage and U sal Yeah. Really, yeah, there you go, there's versus. This is how we're tying everything together today. Supposed to meet him last week. It didn't happen. I guess I assume he
was going to be there. Yeah, all right, you talking about new releases quick like he'd been Like, I thought it was dope when you did that combo and then the arrow came out faster when you did it in the air. I thought that was sick. So what about this wrestling game a little bit a little greater? Lit'll be playing at two for the PlayStation three, Jeff, you got the special collector Is Edition. Yeah, but that I went out and that came with some book ends for games. Basically they're
like gam ends. I think it's what they call them, because that's silly. It comes with a tiny, relatively small little sack. Boy is encased in plastic that I have not opened up yet, suffocating in there. I think it is fabricy. Yeah, and like eleven costumes for the game. It seemed like was that a lot of like a brand new original stuff. It seems like that was stuff that might have been released. Still. Some of it is DLC stuff. It's like muppets, so you get like Gonzo.
Yeah, I think they from the Tron pack. Yeah, there are a couple that are only in that pack. I guess Jack and Daxter are only in that pack. And these aren't like there costume not character, right, So yeah, they still look sakish. So it's like it's like sack boys wearing the skin. Yea, so it's like sackster. Yeah, fuck
you, Yeah, that's the right response. Last time I invite you to this podcast, I would by all means, and I played through the first I only play through the first level of that, and then Justin's level and five stars and you love it already. Yeah, basically like that game is real good. So I hope, you know, and pressed that medium Molecule was able to kind of bust that out. Yeah, uh, you know a little more than a year. I'm I'm very excited to see how the
level of creation tools have changed. And no, it's been those it was na, wasn't it. That was over two years. Okay, it's been a while. Yeah whatever. But you know, they had a lot of assets work already. Yeah yeah, but like all there's a lot of backwards compatible stuff in there, like all the levels from the first game work. But also the first thing it does is like, do you want to import
your profile from the first game. So as soon as I hit that, I had my zebra head back on and all this other stuff like all your crazy shit. Yeah great, and and then you can import all the stickers and stuff that you've unlocked. Is your little house the same patterns. I didn't decorate my house, so yes, But I wait, did it store like I think it's stored. I think it's from a local save, so I might. I might have just had a little bit plan at one save on that P three. So when I get home and do it, do
that process again. How much was that? It's eighty bucks, which I don't know that it's twenty premium you're getting. I don't know that I would recommend that people buy it because the bok ends don't look all that great. And you know, if you want a sack boy, that's great. If you're into the costumes, that's great. But the regular editions that at least feels justified. It is a large box, I like, I don't. I don't think you can ever go into collector's editions saying like that's a good
value, because it never is right. It's just a matter of like, is there enough stuff in here to potentially justify that price. I felt good about buying it this morning when we went and bought it this morning. Good to h mine Jack for a PlayStation three and Xbox three sixty. It's a square Nix mindes psychic gorillas, psychic gorillas, cyber psychic Oh no, are they not even real when they brought mind jack boy, do they actually show
you any of the cyber gorillas or was it all? Yeah, it's in the footage, so or maybe I should say cyborg rillas okay, when you like they're like digital Sorry, cyborg gorillas is more accurately. These are analog guerrillas. Okay, yes, good worry. They're meat gorillas with robotics, existing plants, very good plants, versus zombies for the Nintendo DS. Check check that offered another platform. Now have all platforms. I guess I'll have to go get that. You really don't have to do that. That's not
a thing that you have to eat. I own it on I own it on PC, and I own it. I'm pretty sure I have it on my iPhones. It's not yet available on Windows Phone seven. Yeah, so coming soon. But I'm I'm telling all those people with Windows Phone sevens you don't have to keep buying plants versus. The most arrogant, horrible thing about Windows Phone seven is that there are multiple games that have achievements based on you having people on your friends lists that also have a Windows phone seven. I
don't have any. It's like it's one of them. Is just straight up view the leaderboard when ten of your friends are on it. I'm like, come on, come on, that's never going to have It's never ever going to happen. Oh maybe that'll inspire you to say to your friends, hey, guys, you should get into only befriend people that have Windows. I'm second clear out my friends list and I'm seeking out so you know, like the people that are achievement crazy. Yeah for for that stuff have been doing
exactly that. Yeah, it's you see somebody hit over five five hundred thousand points? Is that Stallion Dude, he's the guy that might be He's the guy that's been in the lead for the Yeah, I think it was the guy that is on the Quest for a million? Is that he's got like a million score dot com? You know some blog? Is there even space on the gamer card for that? Then he digits the only one way to find out. I suspect he'll be the one to hit it unless he completely
loses his mind. And that's possible. That has to be such a unless you count people that are hacking their scores, in which case I've seen scores over eight hundred thousand. That's already. Yeah, so that's I mean, those people will get banned eventually, right, Yeah, But they're all doing it from forty eight hour gold accounts or sometimes silver account so it kind of doesn't matter. Well, but they're all transient then at least, like none
of them are ever going to hang out. The guy who has the million will last. They're they're messing up leaderboards on community sites basically is the extent of their their damage, I think. But Mass Effect too for the PlayStation three, I've played some of that. I have not seen the new comic bit yet. Yeah, I want to see that. That sounds likes already
played it. That sounds like the interesting parts one new thing, and that's supposed to, you know, basically recreate all the Mass Effect one stuff basically in like a minute, in like fifteen minutes, I think. But yeah, I played the first hour and a half of the game. It seems Hey, do you like Mass Effect too? I did like Massive pretty good. It is great on the PlayStation three as well. From what I've seen
so far. Do you know, if I have to imagine it is this way, all the DLC is just on the disc and like it's just integrated in the game. The servers network is still there and it still requires that code for access to servers network stuff. But as far as like Overlord, Shadow, Overlord, Kassume, and Shadow Broker are all on the disk,
those are the three you get. Those are the three they're advertising. So there's still like free armor up for download on the PlayStation network, and all of the additional costume packs and stuff still cost money right on PlayStation network for something like Overlord or Kassume. Is it Fallout style? Where as soon as you get to the point where you can pick up missions, that is where
I stopped. I basically stopped when I got on the bridge of the ship and it says, hey, you should talk to this kassuming chick weird. Same for for Shadow Broker. The other two did not pop up. I think you probably have to go talk to Lara first. For Shadow Broker pops, and I don't know when when Overlord would pop. I mean imagine that's probably pretty much the same behavior you'd get if you if you've download all that stuff and started a new game on Yeah, like, playing Fallout three for
the first time with all of the DLC installed is so weird. Yeah, because the second you step out of the vault, literally it's literally one radio signals, one message after another after another. Actually, I downloaded the Game of the Year version of Oblivion for Steam started up a new thing of that. Fucking crazy like how much stuff they added there are like it must be like a dozen things. Actually it was a save. It was a save
I had from when I have the PC version. Originally I loaded it and it was just, yeah, it was like one thing after another, like twelve times, like you should go to this tower and oh, this thing needs doing, and it's just like, dude, too much, so much stuff, too much, like parcel that stuff out and along with the story or something. Yeah, it seems like they do do some of that,
but yeah, I consume. He definitely says, hey, as soon as as soon as that stuff starts, Well, I feel like I'd kind of prefer that to them holding it back, especially if it was like I just want to do this thing and if and if it doesn't have any relevance to kind of the flow of the overall game. But it's like, well, just let me go and choose to do this right now, and I can choose to the other thing later and paid for it. Let me do it.
Sure. Spare Parts is available this week on Xbox Labricade, and PlayStation Network. That's tens or or ten bucks? You mean ten bucks or nine ninety nine? I guess I mean ninety nine or nine ninety nine. I believe it's nine eight hundred points, is it? Oh? Yeah, I guess they do say that. Don't think? Yeah? Yeah, Hm, we've a tree achieved true pricing parody. Great, Finally, I guess we've kind of had it. It's just it's easier to say it that way.
Hey, it's ten bucks. I don't know much about this game, So describe to me this world you live in in which inaccuracy is better than accuracy. The one word I don't care so much about a penny. Simon Pegg does voice work in this game? Cooperative robot puzzle solving made by EA? Did that fall out of game dev story copoitive Robots? It would have gotten uh five stars if it had Game of the Year indeed, see here. Yeah, I think that's kind of it's kind of it's kind of what's coming
out for Nintendo platforms. I can tell you stuff, Why don't you tell me in great detail? I'm looking forward to this. No, I'm with him. I get angry messages from people, yeah, saying how did you let these fuckers remove it from the show? Believing for a week, and then I realized, wait a minute, I totally am so start reading these. I don't have the I don't have the paperwork, sorry this week, but I want you to have these for me when the podcast starts them.
It's right here. Great, okay if you can get me that. So how are we doing those those reports? That's here dot Clock the Toasted Sandwich of Time or bannocks Bit trip Beat. Oh wait, that's just the demo version of that. Those first two games sound like bangers. They sound like the sort of things we should be reading. Let me put it to you this way. If you didn't read them, we could get a real sandwich faster. Now, how do you see it? Kind of has you there?
DSi Wear Glory Day's Tactical Defense and Animal Boxing and the seller Animal Boxing and Alien Puzzle Adventure. All right, emails Alien Puzzle Adventures nothing for you bomb the name you know what the name is good enough from Hell's heart, Ryan Davis static, I'm saying we're at an hour fifty. If we don't want two hour and thirty minute podcasts every single week, we cut this. Who says that you know one except Bryan Davis. The reality of animal boxing
can never live up to what you imagine in your mind. So just let it go. Maybe I'll start reading these a week behind, but instead I'll just take the titles and write my own descriptions of what I think the games are. You start doing your own, separate, separate podcasts of the DSi wear, we wear Reading a Nintendo download minute? Indeed, all right,
first email comes in from Madeline Henry and Bemediate specialized and insane. Would that be of just like, here's a podcast in which someone tells you what is out for download on Nintendo platforms. After that they've already been posted, after they've already been posted a text form. But if you don't like to read or posted and even posted on the system, you could just go to the
system and look at it and say, here's what they are. I actually one of the one of the people that wrote in uh and and said that they missed this feature, said it was way it was actually useful because the stores are so poorly designed. True, the stores are stores are horribly laid out. But I think the thing that we've realized over the year plus of
doing this is that most of the content is complete garbage. I could have told you that a year ago when we have started to but about the two cave stories a year and yeah, that's harm of that having to sift through. No, No, that's I I agree with you in spirit that that. Yes, I mean, the time to move on is upon us. We just need to replace it with something. It's it's just the overhead is the issue. If we could pluck out good ones and not read them all,
there are no good ones. That's a sad reality to me, you know, entertaining ones. Brad hit me with an emails emails, thank you, sir. Podcast Giant bomb dot Com. Madeline Henrymigi, Minnesota as Miss pac Man is regarded by many a superior to pac Man, and misplosion Man will likely be better than splosion Man. Adding Miss to any video games seems to enhance it significantly. In my opinion, this is an important revelation that
hasn't been taken advantage of yet. I'll be shopping this concept around to numerous game publishers, but until I hear back in them, I ask you, what games do you suspect would most be enhanced by a miss iteration? Miss DC Universe Online, Miss Hale, Miss Gears of War, Ladies, Ladies, Halo brat shoemakers, putt put a little bow on Dom's head, Miss Gears of War. That's no, you mean like missus Bayonetta game. Yeah, Miss miss Gucci's Bayonetta. Miss rasm Is, somebody get miss on the
phone. I don't know. I think miss Miss pac Man would be pretty good. It's pretty good. It's dude twice as many mazes. That dude with bow in his hair? Is that it? I don't know. It's it's Miss pac Man, but with stubble. It's a drag queen version of Miss pac Man. It's not like a good drag queen. It's like one of those kind of streetwalky drag queens. Those are the good drag queens. Trysting from Newmarket, Ontario. Hey guys, I hit a deer while listening
to last week's BombCast just thought you should know. Keep up the good work. You keep up the good works. Did he kill it? I want more information, Well, then you should hit I'll give you Tristan's email and you can ask him now. He should just right in next week and give us more details. And also the car. It's not always true. It's not always true. You don't always I hit a deer with a friend in a pickup truck once and it did not die. No. Usually, No,
here's here's the messed up thing. So we hit it and we thought it was dead because it was like it was It had fallen in the street and it looked like it was dead, but it was like kind of breathing. So my friend busted out his hunting knife and was going to go cut its throat, and then it popped up and ran away into the field and we were like, oh, okay, we should go hunting. Jamie in
the UK Hey bomb cast last Friday. I was the one quick and or lucky enough to get to play Keija with you guys live in the background of your show. I am from the UK and so playing from overseas as well. Uh. I don't know if this flag yeah, but the experience of playing a game on a screen with a phone as the controller got me thinking, do you guys think there's any room or potential for this sort of set
up to expand? Do you think someone could create a bigger game for this format of using the phone as the controller remotely, maybe something that's not browser based but application based, to say a Steam downloadable game or some such. Yeah, I think there is potential for for that. You know, when you when you remove the screen as a display device and turn it into strictly a controller. You know it, So let's like flying that helicopter, flying
the ar drone. The lack of tactile feedback can be an issue. Yeah, but but what's interesting is that you can use like all of the tilts point, there's a lot of other feedback that still works. I mean. The hard part about trying to make something I think like significant with this is that you still have a pretty small, uh well not not small, but
non standard install base. For like, if you're gonna make the you know, the the iPhone or whatever it is integral enough to the experience, then you need your players to have that, which you know, it's not necessarily you expect someone to have a mouse and keyboard on a mouse on on a PC. You expect someone to have a you know, dual shock on a p S three, like the expectation of and you have an iPhone and you're gonna play this PC game with it, Like I think you have to kind
of aim low. That's kind of specific. Yeah, yeah, yeah, not saying that not a lot of people have PCs and iPhones, but it is. It is a specific crossover. But Jeff, you seem to enjoy at least some of the promise of what keija. Yeah, it's it's neat, but that's that's kind of all it is. It's not a good game, but they they, I guess they they say they are expanding on it
and maybe they'll get, you know, some additional stuff in there. But I like its style and I thought of control surprising it well for something that's like transmitting over a network and that sort of stuff. I have been discovering the wild world of using my iPhone to control my laptop. That's to what end, uh, If you were to say, hook your laptop up to your TV to watch like YouTube stuff, you use the iPhone to control that.
There's actually like half a dozen different apps for the iPhone that let it act as a touchpad for a MacBook. It's really weird. But that's where my issue with the lack of feedback comes from. Because if you're looking at one screen and using another screen, stroll it and there's like areas of the touch pad that are buttons and stuff like, you hit all kinds of crazy
stuff. You mean, it's it's what makes Keijas specifically like a good use of that because there's just two big buttons and if there's tilts until but but yeah, but the fact that it's like basically, hit the left side of the screen, you're gonna hit the button. Hit the right side of the screen, you're gonna hit the button. I think if I was making a like a mouse like something that duplicates the functionality of a mouse on an iPhone, I would make it tilt and just the screen. Is that your two
mouse buttons? That's not a bad idea. Yeah, yeah, something like that. Jakeson in the Professor Layton title Generator. Have you have you seen that? It's pretty good? Yeah? I saw you playing with it. We look at last week a Professor Layton in the Socially Awkward Tea Party Professor Layton and the full hearty end of the World. That's that's actually yeah, some of these are good parodies. Some of these are just just good.
Professor Layton and the very tasteful wet Nurse. When it comes to a wet nurse, I'm not looking for taste, I know, well, not tastefull. Professor Layton and the recently deceased muppet. Professor Layton and the superfluous expansion Pack. All right, it makes me laugh. Professor Layton and the lame green Fluid. Professor Layton and the seriously freaking depressing Decathlon prof These don't sound like Professor Layton game titles anymore. And the Bodacious Children. All right,
back on board. I would see that band. So, Jake, I think we saw this last week, but thanks for reminding us. It's pretty good. Oh us here, Luke, want to know about start Trik online. Nope, fucking Kurt Larson got back to us from Information Society. Yeah, so we we're talking. We talked to a whole bunch about Information Society on the podcast last week, and then I guess he works at Nihilistic now up in Marin formally worked at Chrisma dynamics as we've mentioned, and I guess
one of his co workers sent him the podcast and then emailed us. So I guess he did a solo album kind of after information Society stopped. And so this is this is the email from Kurt. Im was gonna read this directly. I did a much cooler modem track on the next album. Don't
be afraid that message started. That message stated that the tenth song on the album was hidden around the Internet. I rarred the wave file into sixteen chunks and put one chunk on each of sixteen free dot us domains I registered. On each site was a link to the next site, a chunk of the
rare, and a clue to the password to the next site. The clues were stupid questions like what was the population of such and such town in nineteen ninety and to send me an essay describing how and why the world is different now from five hundred years ago, and so on. I was surprised by
how many people actually did it and got the song. Once people got the song, the final message gave the finder permission to copy and even sell the song as much as they wanted, which I still there's still still something great and cybercore about the mode of message. Yeah, but this but that's also also that is a terrific follow up. Yeah yeah, awesome, ridiculous Internet shenanigans out there. So thanks Kurt Larson, thanks for writing in, and
also thanks for that song Pure Energy. Did you did you ever see that VH one show where they were trying to bands reunited or whatever. I remember when they were doing that. Did they do that? They did different information side and he was the one who didn't want to do it. They went to him and he was like, Nope, it doesn't really want to do it. It was at the end of that second. That was the end
of that segment. It was the end of episode. I was like, no, weird, noh, yeah, you know that they would just odd to me that they would air that just you think that the know, there's there's like the failure episodes were arguably better than the reunion episodes because there was usually some sort of hot drama going around those guys that are just like, Nope, don't want to do this because I hate everyone. H Kyle from Baton Rouge, which he probably did all the work anyway. Yeah, uh,
Kyle from Baton rouge. Do you think that whenever mister Perfect swatted his gun with his hand into the crowd, it sometimes landed in the mouth of a screaming wrestling fan. I understood half of that. Do you think mister perfects gum ended up in someone's mouth when he would sat I've never really stopped to think about where'd that go? Where's it go? Where's the gum go? What do you think lands someone's hair? Yeah, it's gotta be in the hair. It's bounce off le I mean, is he hitting it hard
enough for it to reach the crowd? Like? That's the thing. It seems like he is. H Here's here's my thing. So here's my question. What's worth more on eBay? The myriad shitty sunglasses that that Brett Hart gave out to kids that are probably you know, some people are still holding onto or that gum because that gum has his DNA on it. You could clone mister Perfect using that DNA. That's man spent or step aside. Yeah, I guess an army of perfect human beings, dude, I know,
I guess their way into the White House. I guess technically easy doing a lot of drugs in between technically easier to confirm that it was his gum than to confirm the sunglasses thing. Although that's assuming that you have access to mister Perfect's DNA. For I would guess there's some red Heart's DNA would end up on those glasses. So what's what about John Morrison's sunglasses that he does now he gives those out of kids or Raymisterio masks or something, or or Raymisterio
headbutting kids in the crowd. I don't really want to talk about John Morrison, yeah, or current modern day Raymisterio very much either. What that is John Morrison is like Jim Morrison, but a wrestler. Really, that's a ship that's kind of a stick.
