What's that.
Bed. It's spooky and jooky.
I'm pretty sure it's dead. It's coming this way.
Wait a minute, I'm goosted.
Imus that days. Hey boo, it's me raz.
I got an episode today for you with Justin Martindale, an old friend of mine, hilarious comedian, comedy writer. We'll get into it. I'll be honest with you. I don't got much more to say today, just that I'm happy you're listening. Thanks for joining the show. Thanks to all the new listeners. Come on in, get cozy, go back throughout the feed. We've got almost four years of episodes for you to enjoy, available for free everywhere you get podcasts.
The anniversary will be next month. The end of January will be four official years doing this podcast. Oh, I'll save my speech for then. Uh the Loganda episode. I have gotten so many messages from last week's episode about how funny it was. Loganha's one of the funniest people. Not technically a comedian, but like she, I adore her. I know we come off as being our nemesis Nemesi Nemesis sis Sis nemesistas, but she is the best.
So go back and listen. If you haven't.
I want to do listener episodes.
You know what to do.
Email ghosted by ras at gmail dot com. Subject line listener episode with bullet points of your paranormal stories that we could talk about on the show. And I want to read more ghost stories on the show, so please either lead them in five star reviews or email me your ghost stories. Here we go, let's talk to Justin Martin Dale once again on with the show. I am so honored to have a repeat customer today, Justin Martindell, welcome back.
I know I've done this before a long time ago when it was brand new.
A lot of times I re listened to people's episodes. But I was sitting here thinking, like I remember everything you told me?
What because I don't, I hope I don't repeat.
You told me about the comedy store, which you still are at all the time, so maybe there's more.
I don't know. We'll see.
You told me about going ghost hunting and like Savannah, Wow, yeah.
Good memory, huh okay outing the ghost.
And yes, and then you also told me told me you told me you told me about uh the place you live at the time that you lived that you were having like some weird stuff going on.
Oh maybe you were making that one.
No, no, no, no, I mean there's always I had something last week happened which was pretty exciting.
Oh my god, So what's going on in the paranormal.
I don't know.
I just feel like it follows me, but I also have it makes me. It makes me laugh because like, I'm very I feel like I'm very open to ghosts and paranormal activity. But it's also funny because I feel like I have like my great great my great great grandmother was like full blooded Cherokee Indian, and I always feel like whenever I meet somebody who says that they have like sensitivity to paranormal, theyre always like as a Native American, And I'm like, maybe it's that's in the BLA.
Maybe it's like I'm open to it because of like you know, Native American mysticism or something like that.
Yeah.
But yeah, last night or not last night, sorry, like last Friday or Saturday.
I was in bed last Friday night.
We'll be tagging in of this. Last Friday was in bed and I was not dreaming. I was just kind of like asleep. I don't remember any dreams or anything like that. And I was asleep and in the middle of the night, I just hear hello, and I woke up.
You kind of caught me off guard with that voice.
It was that voice. It was that the same like sound everything. It was just like a woman or a little girl. And I woke up and I was like hello, And I looked at my watch and it was four twenty in the morning, and I was like, there's no way. And I smoked a bullet in bed. But no.
It was really weird because it didn't follow with anything else.
It wasn't like, you know. I told a couple friends of mine, they were like, ah, I was just probably someone outside. It was like, but there's no like hello, how are you doing today? It was just hello, and that was it.
And it was like, did it feel like it was in the room.
Yes, it was. It felt like it was right by my bed, like where by my head.
I two nights ago, uh huh, was sleeping on my couch and my alarm went off and I jumped up and I looked at my phone and I didn't set an alarm, and it wasn't an alarm, but I knew it was like clear as day to me. An alarm so it was like something it woke you up, dream state thing.
That's weird.
So the place that you live now, so does that do you have reason to believe that there could be possibly stoner lady? That's like, hello, No, there's no stoner later it's lady funny.
No. I mean if you're if you're like waking people up at four twenty in the morning, like you don't get four twenty. It's not the more. It's the afternoon, right right different fortant, don't let me let me sleep till I have to wake up.
Yeah, no one's wanting to get high that bad unless they are.
I don't know.
Have you had a like ghost lady type stuff in your bedroom?
No, it's really weird. I've only had like you know, I've had just flickering of lights. Oh I have a really fun story about that too. But no, no lady in my bed, No lady in my bed ever. But really I have no lady.
I have a lot of ladies in your bed.
That was high school. I was going through a phase.
Okay, maybe I don't know you well, but yeah.
It was, Uh it was weird. And I know there's something weird in that building because the building I live in is like built in nineteen thirty two, like old Hollywood bungalows and like West Hollywood. But also like people have I think, like died their dreams have died, people dreams, people like, It's it's crazy these old buildings. Yeah, they got stories.
God, and it's so weird to think, Like that's why I love Hollywood history so much, and it's so fun to think. Okay, the thirties, so like this was brand new. There's people, like the talkies were starting. Then there was like people that were like you know, become maybe pursuing bigger movies stuff, and then TVs stuff in the sixties and then like we can keep going, but like.
And then social media influencers, you know literally Melrose placed people in the nineties. Yeah, exactly.
It's crazy how many people probably live there pursuing a dream?
Did they get there? Did they not? Like who knows? Who knows?
Drug over doses and murdered so much. It's a lot.
So what's your light flickerings?
Oh the light flickering story? So same building my friend Denise and I Denise has this patio that it's a really nice patio that faces out to the street. On the first floor, and so like during COVID and stuff, like we were like COVID buddies.
So she'd be like, come over, we'll play.
Cards, watch a movie, all that stuff. And she's this big patio space where we'd sit on the patio. We're outside all that stuff, but like right by her patio was the front door.
And there's these two.
What are they called, like sconces lightsconces, and like last week we were outside and my ex passed away in twenty twenty one. I don't know if you ever knew him. I don't know Vince. I don't know if you never met Vince.
I don't think so.
No, but he passed away in twenty twenty one, and.
Every now and then I'll like still feel like him around and and you know, you just when you were with somebody for that long, like off and on. We were also friends after we like broke up numerous times. But we were sitting there, and I was sitting there with my friend Denise, who is you know, best friends with him as well, and then our friend Elizabeth, who is a friend to him as well. So it was like power free. And that's the way I was like describing it. And we were sitting outside and for some
reason he came. He came up in conversation and we were just talking about him or whatever, and Elizabeth was like, oh my god, that light is just like flickering, and I was like what And I turned around and it stopped and it like it cut off, and she's like, oh, that's weird. And then I looked back and I was like, vin so you hear and it just lights up and I was like and we we I mean we screamed
it because it was just right then and there. And then I started talking to it because I was like, well, let's just see and if I look crazy, I look crazy in front of two of my friends whatever, And so I started asking questions. I'm like, you doing okay, and it's just starts flickering like in code. It was like, and I'm like, are you happy?
We miss you?
And it just kept going and then kept going, kept going, and I was like, well he was a talker, so I was like, okay, got it, got it? Yeah, yeah, okay, but it was so wild and like Elizabeth's getting emotional and Denise is just like, I've never seen that light flicker like that, and I'm out here all the time, and uh, it dwindled down. We were like we miss you, and it flickered and then it just stopped and it went back to like you know, being on and normal.
And then she left.
Elizabeth was like, well, I'm gonna go home and you know, good night. And as she left, Denise and I were still out on the patio and I was like, I wonder if it still works. And we tried it again and it went for a little bit and then it just kind of like fizzled out and stopped, and I was like, I'm wondering if it was because like the three of us like magnified and like brought it through. Yeah. I seriously said that on the patio was like the power free.
It's so funny because I've been reading a lot of books about the paranormal, and this one in particular that I was just reading talked about the different theories of ghosts with electricity and how like humans are electric beings and so they can use our energy. Like you know, you so rarely hear about a ghost if there's not
a human there. I mean, maybe like a surveillance camera, but it seems that humans have to be a part of a ghost appearing or doing like yeah, I mean it's almost like if a tree falls in a woods like whatever. But so I could see where that could be true, the more because they say it takes a lot of energy for a spirit to be able to manipulate something like that. So yeah, I could see we're having three people around would help.
And also I think like how the three of us, like without question, were so open minded to it, you know what I mean. It wasn't like none of us were being like skeptical about it. We were just like and focusing and focusing on it. Yeah, and it was I mean, it was nuts. It was weird and comforting at the same time, you know, because you're just like, okay, cool, you're like watching over us or however you want to
interpret that. But like, yeah, it was a it was a really cool feeling to like have that moment, and you know, we were we screamed.
That's so cool.
It was cool.
I liked if it happens.
Ever, again, sometimes what like paranormal investigators do will either ask the spirit to show them what yes or no looks like, or you could say flash once for yes, two for no, and then you can kind of have more of a conversation and do you like yes or no questions?
Oooo, and just by like asking, I should have done that. I should have known that. I think I was just in the moment.
Well, it's also kind of shocking and crazy when stuff like that happens.
Yeah, yeah, because I was just like whoa, like how how like just the the how spontaneous it was because she saw the light and then it stopped and she's like, oh well it stopped blinking and then I turned around and immediately asked if it was him, and.
Like it just went like I'm not done.
Yeah, cool, it was crazy.
What about the comedy Store? Have you had anything happen or have you heard any chirpings or the ghosts still around?
I mean there's definitely feelings for sure. It's funny because I have my podcast. Uh we tape it in the basement.
Isn't that like the most haunted part?
Yeah, because that one time fifteen thousand years ago, you and I were there and we were like we had some like ghost hunting app and we were puting it by the basement and it was like going nuts.
That's right, I totally forg Yeah, they did the Haunted God what was it. It was like two thousand and eight or something like no. Twenty ten or eleven, something like that. Yeah, but it gave us all little EVPs to walk around and we put it by, which is crazy because remember those doors were shut and locked, and there was like a great and I was trying.
To to keep the demons then, to keep the demons out.
I was trying to describe that to somebody the other day.
Well, now those gates are gone, perfect, they're open.
The doors were open.
The demon's got a town.
It's so funny because Leslie Jones refuses to go down there.
She's like, I'm not going down there, no thanks.
Now, the rumor was always that there was a tunnel underneath the Sunset or something.
There was a tunnel that one under Sunset that went across the street from the Comedy Store to what used to be House of Blues.
Now it's the Pendry Hotel where.
People like fun can say, yeah, okay, there were people like fucking the windows. So yeah, when was.
When were people all the time when it was House of Blues the hotel.
Oh yeah, they've got their ring lights. They are creating contests. Really, yes, there are fun just like hands up against the windows.
I mean we're like, you know, for you's got a dream, and what's your dream?
Exactly?
So okay, so you're in this basement, the epicenter of of hell, but nothing happens.
Well, I mean it's like everybody I bring down there, like the past couple of guests that I have, I've had Lessie of had Caroline Ray, I had cherioh Terry, I've had God who else, couple of other people.
Caroline Ray is Witch Royalty.
Oh yeah, she is Witch Royalty and she knows.
I had to follow her like two weeks ago.
She's amazing, she's awesome, she's the best, and she's totally like running with everything. That's like you know, given with given to her. It's it's she's embracing her witch total. She's into astrology.
She was letting me have it.
And so it's so funny because, like, you know, she gets there and she's like, oh, it just feels weird down here, and I'm like, oh, yeah, it's it's it's wicked. It's it's weird.
Is it bad?
Though it's not bad, it's just there. It's like heavy and cold, but there's also like a little bit of like a like yeah, like a charge, Like there's like a you know, you just kind of feel like electric a little bit. But nothing's ever been crazy. But they have this other room down there. Oh god, this Russian doll of horror.
You know.
It's like, Oh, here's the basement. Oh, and there's a room. Oh there's another room. It's it's very very barbarian. There's just a basement that goes down. Now they found this room. It was like a storage room, and they took everything out and they've renovated it and now it's another like podcast studio within the room.
That scares me.
Well, did you ever see the Unsolved Mysteries on YouTube about it?
Yes, I've seen the old I've also seen when Ghost Adventures was there.
Did you see that?
I didn't see the ghost I remember when they were filming there. I just never saw it.
You should watch it.
Is it pretty bad.
There's a scene where Jay Ja Ja Jay what's Jay's name?
Jay?
He was on SNL in the nineties. J j oh J Moore J Moore.
J Moore tells the story that he was on stage and the whole audience stopped laughing.
That's not a ghost story. That's just sure. Act.
He said that, they all froze and stopped laughing, and they were staring at him, and then he made and then he somehow like told a joke or something and broke it, and then they all started laughing like crazy.
That's bullshit. That's bullshit, but it is scary. I think that's kind of weird if that did happen. Yeah, I have, I mean the only ghost story that I have. Actually I have good ghosts. You told me the.
Story about when you saw the guy with like a Derby hat on or something like an old Gus.
That was Gus, which is weird that I remember the piano player Jeff Scott, who also passed away, who I think he's still there, by the way. The piano player, he was the best.
He loved that place, Wasn't he like a historian?
I bet, oh for sure he was. He was the piano player for twenty five years. He knew everything about it when it was CEO's like would give you all the history. He knew everything about that place, even when they were doing like renovations, like I think they built
like a couple. I think they like redid some of the bathrooms and some of the rooms around the club, like they like, you know, they're taking the old carpet out and they found like the old tile from Ciro's and he was like he put it up on like Facebook and was like, look it's the old you know, had all the old designs of the ceramic, like just cool, cool stuff. He had the coolest stuff. He played that place every day, every damn day for twenty five years.
Just a staple of that place. And I actually had a medium on my podcast named Britney Lee. Her Instagram's Britney Lee Taro. You should definitely have her on. She's fantastic and she is like she was the one that was like this feels weird. Like she walked into the store and was like, oh, I don't like being here, and I was like, oh god, I'm so sorry. Yeah, and she was talking about who's the big gangster like back in the Mickey Cohen. I think it might have
been him or somebody else. I can't remember, but something like that. She was like, he's here. He's like he's mad that I'm here, and you know, and she's like late twenties, early thirties. I'm like, she had the hell does she know? Like any of these people. And so afterwards I was giving her a tour because I was. She was like, I was like, can I just like walk around with you and see what you feel or anything.
And we went into.
The main room and she was like, oh, yeah, this is weird because the main room used to be CEO's.
That was like the main dining area was.
Like a cap for anyone. That was like the Club of the forties.
It was the club in the and the the Ricardo's, the Nicole Kidman movie that's like where they go hang out. That was that was it. So they'd go in there and they'd watch like, you know, entertainment while they're eating dinner because it was like smack dab in the middle of like the studios back in the day. You had like paramount to one side and then you had like Warner Brothers on the other side and Sony and all that stuff.
Maybe not Sony, I don't know if Sony.
Was wrong, but anyways, so that was the meeting point, like, oh, let's go have dinner here, have cocktails, mingle like Joan crawt Or and Lucille Balldasiernez like I mean, Judy Garland Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, Yeah, for sure, and with that the mob was involved. So we're walking around and in the main room, she's like, yeah, this is a little weird.
And then we went up into the belly Room, which, weirdly enough, is the room where during those days, like the thirties and forties, abortion was illegal, so they would take the girls up into the belly room and perform illegal abortions for them. And not that that's why it's named the belly room, but it was later developed as a space for women to like be comics, you know, because they need their roof to put them aside and
give them their own space. But yeah, apparently there was like a ghost of a nurse that would like haunt the place. I don't know if she was in like traditional like nurse hats or whatever, but like there was a there usuld be a There was a whole bunch of ghosts there. I can't even remember how many they found.
The psychic pick up on those.
She was like, oh, yeah, this room's really dark. And I didn't even tell her like anything, and I was like, wow, this is where they did that. She's like, yeah, I hear a lot of screaming and there's a lot of death here. And I was like, well, yeah, somebody, some one of the mobster's like girlfriends like died.
Oh yeah, I think I've heard that story.
Yeah, like she she had an abortion and like bled out and like died. And then I think they killed that guy, the doctor. Yeah, I think they were like right this way, and they took him up the stairs and the stairs lead out to the parking lot and pushed him out there and broke his legs and killed him.
Well, there's so many plays, so many things.
When you go back in history, it's like we know what's been reported, what's been recorded, right, that's before there was forensics and stuff.
Yah, yeah, who no, who knew?
Who knows?
And then she went to the original room and she was like, oh, like the original room was the worst. Now, if you don't know what the original room is, that's the room where you know everybody who's everybody plays there. They call it the hardest room in the country, which it is, but it's also really fun because it's very
very intimate. But it's definitely where like back in the seventies, like Sam Kennison, Robin Williams, like all those guys would just you know, Jay Leno, David Letterman, Sandra Bernhard, all those guys would just unleash on stage and off stage, you know. And that's where Jeff would play this piano. And so we walk in there and she's like, do you see that in the corner? And I'm like, I'm know, what are we doing? God? What are we doing? So she's get your camera out and take a picture, and
I took a picture. She's like, doesn't it look like somebody's like sitting in the corner? And I was like, yes, kind of, and it's weird, like in the picture you can kind of see like where is that?
Let me see see?
I always think about that with a psychic like can you see that too?
Yeah?
But I can see it. But then I'm also like, am I wanting to see it?
And therefore I see it?
You know what I mean?
Yeah? No, I get that, But I don't know if you feel like she's accurate. Why wouldn't you know? Well, let's see, I want to see it. I'll tell you.
Let me see, let me see, let me see where she said it. Okay, So she circled it and then I drew the outline of it, and I.
Don't know if you can see.
What do you think?
J Moore sent you this.
J Moore sent me that. Yeah, He's like, I.
Think it's possible.
But then I went because like it looks like maybe a little smokiness, but then it's like a little smoky down here, but.
There's no smoke there. We don't smoke, right, right, right, there's no smoking in the building. But I see what you're saying. It's very like kind of hazy and foggy looking.
It's kind of like do you remember those things I just remember in the nineties, like there'd be like these book these books that would have like a bunch of crazy designs, and like if you look at it long enough, you see mickey mouth.
Yeah.
Yah, yeah, Like I almost feel like it's that like if I really look at it, I'm like, okay.
Yeah, that's why I met Why It's like, am I seeing this or am I tricking my mind to see it?
But see, if a psychic didn't tell me there's a person sitting right there, I would never see that. But knowing that and I look at it, I'm like, okay, yeah, I think it's possible.
Yeah, I definitely think I definitely think there's there's stuff there.
Okay, you know what?
What?
Wait?
Do you have any other stories?
Oh?
God, not right now, but they're always like no one's coming to me.
Ry.
Then there's so much we could do here. I okay, I have an idea. You want to look at some haunted dolls on eBay?
I would love nothing more, Okay.
So I'll give you an option. You could either have one that's moody or one that's sexual.
Oh I don't know about a sexual like a sexual doll the entity attached to it, so tricksy, mattel, something evil.
Yes.
So the belief is that what you're buying here on eBay is a doll which is merely a vessel, and with it comes a specific spirit. So I've got a spirit for you that's either moody or one that's sexual.
Okay.
Can the moody one cause harm?
Just pick one?
Can the sexual one cause harm? I'll go with I'll go with horny doll because I know nothing's gonna happen unless I wake up.
But it's like, yeah, okay, Oh no, I would like for you to meet Lydia.
No, I don't want to.
No, is it terrifying.
Oh okay, Actually she kind of has a Caroline Ray.
She's yeah, she's giving me like enchanted, Like.
She has really pretty hair.
Yeah, that's not bad.
She's very jambinet.
Yes, she's got on just like you know, like a nice pageant girl. Yeah, she's got pageant kind of hair. She's kind of like nice Renaissance fair or like nice Richard Juliet.
Okay, there you go.
Yeah, that's the party I was looking for. Okay, so this is Lydia.
It says Lydia hated clothes to the point where she actively researched nudiest colonies, and if it wasn't for having to occasionally go to the office, she would.
Have moved there to the news colonies.
So she was always naked around the house, playing with a dog, naked, cuddling on the couch, naked. She kept a slip dress by the door for walks, but otherwise naked. On the weekends, she would go to the nudest beaches looking for sex, and she always found it. She would have sex with random men or couples behind the dunes, sometimes with onlookers.
Watching the dunes.
When you adopt Lydia, prepare to be naked a lot and have a lot of spontaneous sex. She would want spontaneous floor sex and surprise groping and sex toys, etc.
Etc. She will never say no to you.
You will exist twenty four to seven as a vehicle for her sexual desire. She got a rock and bod and manifests quickly. Only adopt her if you were able to deal with her overcharged lebie. She's seventeen inches tall and she's currently going for one and twenty five dollars.
Oh wait, that's real.
Somebody posted this. I didn't write that. Oh wow, somebody is actively selling this on eBay.
That is a story. It's like an HBO Max series. I want to watch, Yeah, I want to see the whole journey.
But all that just hangs out at the nudest beat. She has a slip in a drawer and now she's in a doll.
And now she's in a doll. We don't know what town she's from.
I don't know, but just some like.
Horny, corn fed girl. She looks great, she looks amazing.
Do you believe something like this to be real?
I don't know.
I think anything's possible.
I mean, I don't know. How they know all the all those details. I mean, I could. I know it could be a sex demon in a doll, but I don't know like the whole, like it was a girl with a dream, right, Yeah, I don't know.
That because it's usually like they take it to they are a psychic, or they take it to it's like are they do some kind of little session with it, and then they get all these answers.
I don't believe. I don't believe.
What's the moody one? Look like? Can I ask let's let's do.
The moody one. Okay, okay, this is the moody one. Please introduce you to Olive Olive?
Okay, oh oh that's there's I can feel something there.
Olive honestly looks like her name would be Olive.
Olive looks like an olive, Yeah she does.
She's also trying like a mustard lip, which.
Is risky, risky back in the day.
It's like she's she's classic like porcelain like orphantle.
Yeah, like with also I'm seeing a little bit of yellow blush. Yeah, that's I don't know if it's work. Maybe that's why she's moody.
Take this lip off me.
Wait let's look at Olive. Okay says, this is Olive. She's eighteen years old. Her vessel is nine inches tall. When Olive was sent to me, I just knew she would end up being moody. She goes through these stages where she likes to ignore me and then pester me. She's going to bond with one or two people max, and she doesn't like outsiders. She likes watching life hack videos in DIY videos on YouTube and gets mad when I set her tablet to something else. She also hates
that the spirits here have to share tablets. Olive blames the doctors for her death after being switched to a medication that caused her to have an allergic reaction. She feels that she would have ended up being someone very important since she had many great ideas. Olive is into arts and crafts, anything DIY and likes being involved in any projects that I'm working on. She will be able to use all divination tools. She will need to be brought out of the house from time to time for offerings.
She likes anything that can be used in craps, like safety pins, clips, buttons, and loose beads. They're all great for her. You need to take her to Joanne Fabrics.
Yes, yeah, just leave that doll. Yeah, seriously, just take it and just leave it.
Leave it at Joeanne Fabrics. So get me started about this moody woman. I'm a fabrics.
I think that's just a that's just a lot.
I love that she likes.
Life hack videos. There was a life Hack video I recently saw. I don't know why this stuff pops up on my Explorer or whatever, but it was. Do you remember like those CD like when you get blank CDs and you'd be like in like a cylinder like a stack of bank to take one of these if you just happen to have a thing of blank CDs laying around.
Which I might.
I might too, because the drag quis used to have to take CDs, all these blank cd Okay, so you take the plastic cylinder thing, get the CDs out, and use it for a bagel sandwich container. So if you have a bagel that you want to take to work with, you use that as a tupperware the CD thing, because the CD thing has like a thing, it's like a ring. Who's gonna at lunch at work? Pull out an old CD container and just start chomping on a sandwich.
I mean, can you put the so.
Yeah, there's different sizes, so like one of them is like a bagel sandwich like holder, so everything together.
The one that's like one that like a Yeah you could just put one, but.
I mean I'm thinking like bagel on bagel, on bagel on bagel, and remember there was like big ones.
Oh yeah, not that.
Who brings all?
Now that's too much?
I mean, yeah, that's bizarre.
But like buy a fucking pie, you know, don't be.
That person to be like, oh I thought of this idea at home. This is this is why you're being sent home, Stephen.
But all of my like it because she likes life hacks. You want to hear some ghost voice?
Yes, I want to hear it all it's not for EVP.
Or ev plice. Oh do you remember the term EVP?
Yeah, electronic voice phenomenon.
Yes, okay, So what I do? I go to YouTube. I look for a letter EVPs.
There's a good one on TikTok. I've been watching too. There's a guy who does have you seen that?
Which one?
I don't remember. It's a guy and he talks to them and then that's weird because I just mentioned John Manny Ramsey and one of the ones I saw, he's like talking to John Manny Ramsey and it's like, mom, he's angry. It's like weird, And I'm like, so, what do you do with this? Do you like go to the police with it or what? Right?
There's a whole thing out there of people that talk to you, like as soon as the celebrity dies, they do there, which I feel like is a little gross, But yeah, I've listened to a few that are like, here me talking to Michael Jackson.
You don't want to talk to you? How old are you?
Maybe he will?
I don't know. Who would you?
Who would you want to? What celebrity would you want.
To talk to? It's passed away?
Paul Lynde, Oh okay, who would you want to talk to?
Britney Murphy there's I bet you we go to YouTube, you'll find.
I'm probably I probably will. That is the most fascinating.
That case.
That case, it's so weird.
And there is a weird ghost thing because Britney Spears lived in the same house did and she, I guess said.
One time that there was a ghost in the house.
There has to be.
Because didn't like her and her husband die in that house.
I watched that documentary. It's so sad.
It's really messed up. I think the mom munchausen By proxied her like slowly, like you know, like honey, did you want some more tea? And then she would just add like a drop of like mercury or something in there and just be like who because she developed pneumonia, like when they did and they didn't do an autopsy on her, they just like were like, oh she's dead, let's bury or they never did an autopsy.
On her, and then her husband died same way.
Pneumonia because what happens when you have metals in your body, You're you're red blood cells and everything trying to like you know, kill it or attack it, and so it doesn't. It works over it's overworked. I can't talk today, I'm sorry. And yeah, you develop like a pneumonia like symptom that can like shut your body down.
You know that's so sketchy and yeah, and.
Then the mom like disappeared. I don't know one's talked about Britney Murphy's mom. The dad's the only one who's like wanting to like.
Y Yeah, looking for answers.
Yeah, he wants to dig her up and like I guess, like, uh, cut her hair, like get a sample of her hair, because hair, uh, you can find you know, remember that they used to like drug test people back in the day, and you'd have to like cut your hair and put it in a bag and get it analyzed for drugs like metals and all that stuff can be found in your hair. So they want to see if there's any like metallic you know, footprints in her hair, because then
it's like, oh, yeah, she was poisoned. So sad, sketchy, awful.
Well, uh huh, We're gonna go on down now to Bainbridge, Pennsylvania.
Okay, a place called the Haldeman Mansion.
Ooh, here's an EVP that was posted by CCIPR dot org. I went to discover Lancaster dot com, which told me that this is one of the most haunted places in Lancaster, goes back to the seventeen hundreds. Sightings include a grouchy man, a little girl, a teenage boy, and a jovial, singing female servant. They found some unmarked graves under the building when plumbing and electric were added.
To the property. What's this ghost saying?
I didn't hear it?
Did you not hear anything?
I heard? I heard something, but it was just really fast. Hold on.
Yeah, it's like that. But they believe there's words being said.
Oh oh, so that's the game. I have to guess what it's saying said.
I don't know if I heard words.
I can give you options, okay, give me options.
Is it a let's follow?
Okay?
B ooh ow.
C I'm so mad? Or d boom boom poo. These chickens might have been jack in their style.
That's so two thousand and late. Okay, what if it's just Fergie's career.
Let's play the basketball? Remember that one?
Okay, I mean, b o, that's what I mean.
They believe it's let's follow.
Let's see no, let's follow.
Okay, Well, I got another one for you.
This is posted by Paul Coffee and it's at Hot Wells Hotel in San Antonio.
Where is it hot Wells? Yeah, hot Well's Hotel.
Yeah, which is like one of those plays.
This is that back in like the eighteen hundreds early nineteen hundreds, was like come to the Magical Water Mineral Water.
In San Antonio I wonder where it is. The Manger Hotel in San Antonio is haunted as beg. That's where like Teddy Roosevelt and all them would like come in. It was a depot back in the day, and like there's like you go into the bar and you see like a full cowboy just sitting up in the Oh my, it's crazy. Yeah, very haunted, very shining. Five.
Have you ever heard of the Fister Hotel?
What did you call me?
No, there's a place that.
We talked about in an episode not too long ago in Milwaukee. It's called the Fister Hotel and it's very haunted. Yeah, okay, but back to this, so it says this is according to rivercityghost dot com, it opened in eighteen ninety three. Sulfur smelling mineral water said to have healing properties. The ruins of the hot wells already project a spooky vibe because they're like ruins. Walking up to the ruins, you see the remains of the stone bathhouse poking into the sky.
The walls are still charred from numerous fires. Anyway, it's very haunted. And what is this ghost saying?
That was so fast?
I know there's a lot of backgrounds. But okay, this one's more clear to me.
How do they hear this? I hear it's like, how do you see a ghost in that picture?
Is the same exact thing?
Yeah, I don't know. I can it's I can hear it, but I can't make out the words.
Terrible?
Is it a get me Jane Lynch? Is it be I don't like you see any journey counts? Or d Hanny change your clothes?
I don't like you.
They believe it's any journey counts.
Okay, let me hear it again.
Okay, maybe they're like a fan of Journey and they're like, don't forget about the deep cuts. Everyone knows that, but any journeys.
Any journey counts.
Okay.
I have a good ghost story about Pittsburgh.
Well you're here, yeah, tell us.
So I was on the road. I was performing at this theater in Pittsburgh, and it's like old, old, Like the theater itself is gorgeous, like old style, you know, molding and and what's it like they painted in balconies. It's just gorgeous old old theater.
It's like my favorite thing, like the world, Oh, gorgeous old theater.
Same they're so just beautiful. But however, the dressing rooms are just trash.
You know, it's just like that's a lot of times the case those gorgeous old theaters, the dress rooms are the scariest, terrifying, Like.
There's an old piano and freezing. Yeah, like just a coat hanger hanging up with nothing on it. And so I did this, like I asked somebody. I was like this, I asked somebody who's there. Usually when I like do a theater or whatever, I'm like, is this haunted? And they're like, oh yeah, we got co like they tell me. I love it.
And they were like, oh yeah, this is this is haunted all right.
Look up. They didn't even tell me what it was. They were just like, look up, we have a we have the uh the ballerina. The ballerina is here, and I'm like what now. One of my favorite podcasts ever, besides this one, is Lore. Do you know Lore? I love Aaron Minky is like the just his voice as to they everything, and he has these like crazy stories. I remember listening to one of the podcasts about this theater that he was talking about, so I was like,
this can't be the same one. And I googled it, and I'm like, yes, it's the Ballerina story, so that theater.
I can't remember the name of the theater. I'll look it up and i'll.
Send it to you. But I can't remember off the top of my head. But there was a back in the whatever early days. Yeah, look at it. You have a computer and you're like, how do we find this? Just do Ballerina Sisters?
Sisters?
Oh wait, that was the spoiler.
Yeah.
Oh no, wait, Ballerina Pitts Bird Haunted theater, the Pittsburgh Ballet No, no, oh oh oh, the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Probably, yes, Let's see here the curtain first rose on the stage back in nineteen thirty four.
The building. Is this what it looks like?
Yeah, that's it?
Yeah, I think so. Okay, that's during the day.
We were there at night.
Oh, here's the inside. This might be uh huh, oh.
Yeah, this is it. Wait, hold on, this is up right? These are I'm sure it has like a million ghost stories.
Okay, we'll tell us what Okay, yours.
So there was a play and this girl was I want to say she was Russian. She was something like European, Eastern European and back then they made the dresses out.
Of arsenic so there were like traces of arsenal.
What could go wrong?
What could go wrong? And so this girl is like on the stage twirling around.
And full house and Cameron huh, Candice cameronber was there.
And Christmas, we want to keep it traditional, she said, because Santa's pagan. F yi. So this ballerina is spinning around and back in the day, the the floor lamps were candles.
Gas lamp or yeah, a candle, and her.
Fabric got caught on the gas or the light and she ignited in flames in front of the entire audience. And her sister was on the in the ensemble as well, and I think they were both like orphans because of course, like they came out here to like make something of themselves, you know. And the sister came out and like jumped on her to like put the flames out. Well, she caught on fire too, and they both died on the stage.
Don't tell me that. The audience was like this is a mass I know.
Yeah, it's like full on Jada Pinkett and screamed too, yes, yeah, she's like somebody helped me. And they're like yay.
You know that's happened to so many people, Like people have died on stage, and like comedians have died on stage and people are like, this is hilarious.
That's what happened to heatherric Donald when we were in her when she passed out, No, she faints it she I mean she hit the damn floor and people were like ha ha.
And I was like, damn, she's a physical comedian.
That was wild. Yeah, but I mean I get it, like you're up there telling jokes and then it's like and they're.
Like, ah, that is my biggest fear. But like the thought of the audience just like loving it.
Like I've never seen somebody on fire.
This bitch is killing it.
Somebody told me a story of this drag queen that was like the kind of drag queen that like jumps off of things. No, and she grabbed onto this pole and it had an electric current going through it and she was literally like and everyone.
Was like what she wouldn't know?
Oh, or like just seeing like a messy like drag queen, just like stumble and fall.
I've seen some of those.
I've seen that. God.
Okay, So anyway, so you're at this place where these two ballerinas.
Caught on fire. Yeah, And I was like, holy shit. I met the theater that like Aaron Manky was talking about on Lore and so I like DMed him like a full creep and was like, hey, I just listened to this podcast where you talk about these ballerinas. And he was like, oh, yeah, that's a good one. I met the theater performing at it. He was like, combs up emoji, and I'm like, you need to care more. Yeah. Yeah, It's like I'm I'm living because of you and your storytelling.
Yeah.
So I thought that was pretty cool. No, no, no, no, but it was.
I remember that dressing room though.
It was like it was like you felt like you were in like the where the Declaration of Independence was signed. God, that is so scary, like an old an old piano with like rusty.
Keys, and uh, I don't know if this is the same place.
It might not be.
Let's see you shure.
This was Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I know we were in Pittsburgh because that's where they have the cheese steaks. Right do they have cheese steaks?
They have yeah, rights Philly, Philadelphia, Philadelphia.
Okay, so it's in Philadelphia. Okay, I don't know.
I'm a Southern boy.
I know I get those two confused.
That Philly. Okay, Philly. That's the one where they have like she they have one cheese steak place and then they're like, right across the street, there's like a dueling cheese steak place.
Wait a second, Blazing Ballerina.
You found it? Oh? God?
The Walnuts Street Theater? Yes? Do you already say yes to another?
And I'm like when you're saying this was like years ago, I'm like, I can't remember. Yeah, the Walnut Street Theater.
Blazing Ballerinas, Blazing Ballerinas.
Yeah, isn't that crazy?
Wait, I'm just trying to find it. For sure, Ballerina's on fire, but these are like different shows. We'll find it.
Yeah, it's in there.
How many ballerinas could have gone fire?
They're like, you'd be surprised. God, wa, don't want to see if I.
Could find it. Haunted Pennsylvania.
I also spelled things wrong.
Yeah, be haunted that's letter B and then haunted. Let's see Ballerina haunted theater fire. You also spelled Philadelphia r. Yeah, the Walnut Theater, that's where it was. The Walnut Theater. Yes, yes, September fourteenth, eighteen sixty one, when the old circus building. Let's see. Yeah, this elephant ran through there apparently.
During the ballet.
Yeah, here we go.
This sounds like Jumanji.
Yeah, a large circus. The Gael Sisters, yeah, four of them were the celebrated Gael Sisters who made up a famous family of performers from England and for their beauty and talent. They were all blah blah. Before first, before performing at the Academy of Music, they were watching The Tempest. It was a complicated production with pyrotechnics and other special effects. Everything was fine until the end of the first act, when a dancer, Zelliate Gale, suddenly ran past the stage,
her costume in flames. The flammable goss clothing had ignited from a gas jet in her dressing room, That's what it was, and her dress had arsic. When her sisters and some other dancers surrounded her, the fire spread to them and the teenagers screamed in agony as their skin tight leggings combusted and scorched their flesh off.
Oh my god.
After jumping from second story windows, their burned bodies lay on Samson Street, then George Street. Those who made it to the local hospitals suffered terribly, crying out for water before they died one by one, all while in full command of their faculties. Crazy, right, I told her, I was, I told you it was real.
Well, that's fun. I glad we found that.
Yeah, because there was a dress. It was like she was she was a dancer and she had to make a quick change and ran to the and I think she grabbed I think that's what it was. She grabbed the wrong dress to put on, and then she ran by the light and it was so scary, and her other friends were like, oh my god, put her out, and then they all caught on fire. And then they couldn't do anything, so they jumped out of the window because they were like panicking, and the audience went nuts.
This is the best tempest I've ever seen. Oh my god, scary.
